My partner and I have enjoyed Dabao Singapore's meal kits for the past couple of years. It is so exciting to see that they have a brick and mortar space, which makes partaking in this delicious food even easier. If you haven't already, give Dabao Singapore a try. You won't be disappointed! Kudos to the chef!

First time trying Dabao in the Metreon food court! I got both the chicken cutlet and the poached Hainanese chicken and thought they were both pretty good. The best part to me was the ginger garlic rice, it was so flavorful and moist! Both dishes could’ve used a bit more of the sauce on top, the good flavor comes from that and the rice. I’m excited to come back when they have their full menu!

Ordered Chili Crab set, Carrot Cake (both black and white), Laksa and Curry Puffs, and picked it up at Oakland. The containers came with clear instructions on how to heat up our food. Chili Crab: I'd prefer my chili crab a little more spicy - this one is a tad sweeter. Our young kids were able to enjoy this dish together with us. The chef needed to strike a balance between the local's palate and the authenticity of the dish - I think they did a very good job on that. Carrot cake: The chili sauce elevated the flavors of the carrot cake. It's not the usual carrot cake chili sauce - the chef gave an extra zest to it. This chili sauce is my fave. Laksa: Thick broth. We slurped up every drop of the broth. The noodles have a good chew to it. Curry puffs: Buttery flaky crust. The curry potatoes are done just right with a good amount of curry smell/ taste to it. I'll definitely try out other items on their menu.

Good SG food is hard to find here, no less within the city so we were super stoked to try this! Got the steamed chicken rice, laksa and curry puff. TLDR: Portions are great, the flavour and textures match and even surpass what you can find in Singapore and you HAVE TO TRY THIS. Went during their soft opening so i can't wait till they have more exciting stuff! Don't say bojio! (Sorry my vids don't do it justice) The chicken rice came with a generous portion of succulent chicken, fragrant rice, and lots of veggies. The side of garlic/ginger paste and chilli sauce nailed it for us; mix those in with the chicken rice and you are transported back to Singapore eating your favourite chicken rice. So so good. The laksa ingredients are fresh and noodles were great; smooth yet a nice chew to it. And the broth with the chilli was so yummy! Curry puff uses puff pastry which is different from what I am used to at home but it is so flaky and goooood. And the potato filling.. WOAH. SO SO GOOD.

We ordered the catering menu for a house party last week. The ordering process is easy, the food delivery was on time, great service for helping us to set up and clear instructions for the food. We all love the Laksa Arancini ball — full of seafood in the sauce, Rojak — Singaporean fruit salad, great curry puff and Hainanese chicken rice and we all love the peanut sauce from the satay

The laksa was very rich. I was a bit surprised by the price, though, since this place is a food court and the portion size wasn’t that big—yet each item still cost almost $20. The food quality was good; I just wished the laksa had been a bit spicier

Char kway teow was super authentic!! Chicken rice the rice is so flavorful but the chicken was a bit bland. Overall super solid SG food, worth the hype!!

We had their Poached Hainanese Chicken Rice & Char Kway Teow. Both dishes are incredibly delicious, with rich flavors and generous portions. Poached Hainanese Chicken Rice The poached lemongrass-ginger chicken was tender and juicy, paired perfectly with fragrant rice and cucumber. The sauces were a delightful addition: a ginger-scallion sauce, an umami-sauce, and a zesty calamansi chili sauce. While the chicken soup was a bit bland, the overall dish was great. Char Kway Teow This dish featured wok-fried flat rice noodles, yellow noodles, sambal, Chinese sausage, clams, shrimp, and bean sprouts. It had that signature "wok hei" flavor that I love. The dish was delicious, but I think it could benefit from a bit more frying to give the noodles a slightly charred texture at the edges.
