Nestled in the charming Cook’s Garden on Abbot Kinney, Fiorelli Pizza serves up incredible wood-fired pies and a casual vibe amidst lush greenery.
"Michael Fiorelli slings some of the city’s best pizzas at Cook’s Garden on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice — but note it’s not forever, since he’ll shut down operations in September 2025 as that stretch of the block is redeveloped into a hotel and dining complex. Opened in March 2024, the pizza spot comes from the chef and his business partner Liz Gutierrez: The two went from running three ambitious restaurants in LA to serving just three kinds of pizza, a few appetizers, and chocolate chip cookies in a Westside garden. The focus clearly pays off — the pies here have the same crackly bottomed, chewy crusts as pizzas you might find in Naples, Italy. Be sure to check the mobile pizzeria’s Instagram for hours before heading to Venice. (Note Fiorelli will operate here in Venice until September 2025 and will relocate to a permanent space in West Hollywood)." - Matthew Kang, Nicole Adlman
"A top-tier wood-fired pizzeria from veteran chef Michael Fiorelli and partner Liz Gutierrez, known for its New York-style personal pizzas topped with seasonal ingredients." - Matthew Kang
"Michael Fiorelli is slinging some of the city’s best pizzas at Cook’s Garden on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice. Opened in March 2024, Fiorelli Pizza comes from the chef and his business partner Liz Gutierrez. The two have gone from running three ambitious LA restaurants to serving just three kinds of pizza, a few appetizers, and chocolate chip cookies in a Westside garden. The crust at Fiorelli Pizza has the same shape and form as Neapolitan, while toppings include pepperoni and a classic margherita. Be sure to check the roving pop-up’s hours before heading to Venice as the operation is highly dependent on the weather." - Eater Staff
"If every backyard garden had a pizza stand, the world would be a happier place. Just look at Fiorelli Pizza, an outdoor pop-up from the chef behind Love & Salt that’s open Thursday through Sunday (weather permitting) inside The Cook’s Garden—a working urban farm on Abbot Kinney in Venice. The menu and operation are both stripped-down, but the surroundings are so lush, Adam and Eve would have considered booking the place on Airbnb. Still, the main attraction is excellent wood-fired pizza with puffy, leopard-spotted crust—especially the fennel sausage pie topped with fava greens plucked straight from the planter. Enjoy them at a picnic table while you stare lovingly at a bunny between bites. photo credit: Jessie Clapp" - Nikko Duren
"Fiorelli Pizza, opened in mid-March by chef Michael Fiorelli and his business partner Liz Gutierrez, offers a simple menu of three types of pizza, a few appetizers, and chocolate chip cookies in a Westside garden setting. The crust is a unique blend of Neapolitan and New York-style, baked at around 700 degrees, resulting in a blistered, well-browned crust. The toppings include margherita, pepperoni, and a seasonal pie. The venue operates as an event caterer and serves from Thursday to Saturday." - Matthew Kang
