"This upscale on-site bar and restaurant serves Latin-inspired fare with an emphasis on seafood and wood-fired dishes, offering an extensive ceviche selection, paellas, and wood-fired steaks. The 12 Best New Restaurants in Tampa | Eater Miami

"When Hotel Haya opened in Ybor this summer, the owners knew they wanted a chef as upscale as the accommodations. Mission accomplished. Known as the “godfather of Nuevo Latin cuisine” chef Douglas Rodriguez is a James Beard award-winning chef, whose menu is packed with Latin-influenced dishes ranging from the smoked Argentine-style chorizo and ceviches to tomahawk ribeyes. And since he was born to Cuban immigrants in Miami, there are two styles of Cuban sandwiches: Miami (without salami) and Tampa (with salami)."

The restaurant had a nice interior, but since it was located in an open hall, it lacked the cozy, intimate vibe we were hoping for. To start things off, we had a bit of confusion finding the entrance for valet parking. There was no clear signage, so we ended up parking in a lot across the street, which cost us $15. We ordered the chickpea salad and the cheese potato spheres to begin with. The potato spheres were unfortunately very salty, but our server was kind and responsive, promptly replacing them with potato wedges, which were much better. For dinner, I ordered the snapper. It was okay, but nothing particularly special. My friend went with the chicken, which turned out to be a standout. The sauce especially was flavorful and really tied the dish together. My drink, a cucumber gin cocktail, was refreshing and well done. For dessert, the banana tiramisu was a pleasant surprise light, creamy, and delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was decent, but about what you’d expect from that kind of dessert. Our server was training someone new, and both were very attentive and friendly throughout the evening, which definitely added to the experience. All in all, it was a good night out..not amazing, but with a few highlights and great service to balance out the rough edges.

I tried this place for the first time and the food was amazing! I love that they have a new menu every couple of months. The menu is a little challenging to read. Our server was a guy and was in no way helpful at all with giving recommendations on what to order or explaining what the menu items were. The atmosphere was awesome! I loved the inside of the restaurant.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day a week late (initially had reservations at a different spot that were unfortunately cancelled). We were able to make a last minute reservation for 2 at Flor Fina. The ambience was neat with a cool blown glass sculpture, the lighting but dark (wasn’t a concern for us but for others to be aware if that’s an issue for you). We tried several items including the Brussels sprites, cabbage, one of the pasta tapas, seasonal Lions Mane mushrooms, and farmers pie (kind of like a vegetarian Shepards pie which was delicious).

Everything on the brunch menu was great. They do change it on occasion, so what you see online may not be what's available. Had a large group of 14 for a bday. They were very good communicating & provided a private room. We brought gifts & cake. They accommodated us sufficiently. Brunch was fantastic. The breakfast empanadas, the open face Benedict pork & eggs 🙌. The steak omelet was also very flavorful. No complaints. They did a great job & shout out to Theo, our waiter. We will return soon.

Came here for the valentine’s day experience. This was by far the worst food i have ever had in Tampa. I had better quality food in Soho at a food truck stop at 3am. The total cost of the meal was nearing $400, and i’m not sure why. The salad was 3 pieces of lettuce, the soup was a cup that was cold, and the steak dish that you see is 4 pieces of steak for 2 people to share (priced at $265). The dessert was one scoop of ice cream. Not to mention we waited for 30 minutes to be seated when we were on time for our reservation. Would not recommend coming here for a special occasion. The drink was good so at least the bartenders know what they’re doing.

Google
The night we went there was a wedding reception in the garden.... looked absolutely beautiful for them, but for those of us here to enjoy a quiet evening out, it was loud, especially as they were moved to the banquet room. The food and drinks were delish. They charge for bread and it seemed like yesterday's batch. The esthetic was 9/10, bathrooms were clean.

Google
This is a beautiful space and well managed. We had a few drinks and apps but didn’t stay long. Next time we’ll update with some food photos. As a first time guest and in general being walked to a table by a hostess is pretty much expected. Pointing to an area to sit isn’t hospitality. The manager was made aware and he was apologetic then the waitress bought us a drink. Good service recovery! See you next time. Good spot - go here.

Yelp
We were headed over to the Dan for drinks only to find that they were packed with what looked like a wedding party. Headed to Ybor and Flor Fina and met Natalie who took good care of us. We were after some espresso martini's which were tasty and spot on. Natalie asked me if I was set on a vodka drink or willing to try a twist on the espressos martini. A vanilla caramel infused whiskey(shankeys whip) used to make a new espresso martini profile was pure genius. Thanks Natalie for the great night and drinks!

Yelp
My friend and I came for dinner during the week. There weren't a lot of people but the atmosphere was so nice! Very swanky. We both had the flank steak and it was delicious! My friend also had the brussel sprouts which were okay. The yuca fries were so good with the fries! I definitely want to come back to try brunch. Excellent service as well!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel this restaurant is in and decided to head down for our complimentary drinks and a little bite before heading out for the night to celebrate my birthday. Belle was our bartender and she was so great. I cannot rave about her enough. She made our time here at the bar so much fun we almost didn't leave we were enjoying our conversation & drinks. We ordered the chickpea fries to munch on and we thoroughly enjoyed them! So much so that when we got back home from our vacation my bf tried to recreate them! We didn't order much but the service and what we did order made this a great experience. I would definitely come back here. Thanks Belle!

Yelp
I absolutely love Flor Fina. This is a restaurant located in the haya hotel. There is offstreet parking and parking garages, conveniently located close to the restaurant. This is within walking distance of the ybor strip. I suggest grabbing brunch here and then hitting the strip if you're looking for a day drinking activity with friends. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. There is glass artwork throughout. They also have a sunroom that is to die for. I came here for brunch with a group of girlfriends. I can truly say everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I recommend the snapper bites the beignets and the breakfast empanadas. The drinks were also strong and delicious. If you're in the area or staying at the hotel, I highly recommend checking them out.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this restaurant, it was in my social media for a long long time, but honestly it was not the best experience ever, I had a reservation for me and my friends at 2:30pm on a Sunday, we were supposed to get some drinks and maybe some food, the ambiance and the place was so nice, beautifully decorated! I had the aperol spritz which was very good! Then, one of our friends was like a little behind so we told the waitress if we could wait here a little bit, and she told us, in the best way possible, she was very nice, that the place was gonna close at 4pm, I didn't know that on Sunday they closed that early, she told me we could stay because the bar was gonna be open but not the kitchen, online it said that the place was open until 10pm on Sundays, that's why I also picked this restaurant. We had to hurry up to order our food, we were almost the only table in there, menu was very limited, which I understand most places do for brunch, I got the Cuban which was anything special, good size tho. The highlights of the day were our waitress and the drinks. We might give this place another opportunity!

Yelp
Abby was our server and she was super attentive. She had knowledge on the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We had the green gazpacho, flank steak and plantain crusted snapper. It was all delicious! Holiday cocktails were on the menu and super festive in appearance. 10 stars if I could rate it that high!

Yelp
Located in the historic Ybor City district of Tampa, Flor Fina is a restaurant with a very fancy and beautiful atmosphere. From the moment we entered, the service was excellent, and we were impressed by the wide variety of drinks and liquors available. We visited on a Sunday for brunch and were a bit disappointed by the limited food options. However, the quality of the dishes we tried made up for the lack of variety. I ordered a Brunch-A-Rita, which was delicious, and a Short Rib Sandwich that came in a generous portion and was exquisite. Flor Fina is a great option for drinks with friends. We definitely plan to return to check out the dinner menu.

Yelp
The ambience here is lovely. The service is excellent. The she crab soup was so yummy I wanted to remake it when I got home (I will figure this recipe out!). The macadamia nut crusted fish was tasty, but I wanted more sauce. Just a bit more. It wasn't bad, but I wanted more. The slaw was too hard to eat and, frankly, unnecessary. The dessert was not good. The dessert I wanted was sold out so I got this weird chocolate, oatey, sorbet, Cracker Jack thing. It was weird. Each piece had to be eaten separately because they were horrible together. Separately everything was fine but the chocolate oat bit. That was a hard pass for me. ***Giving a star back. I meant to do 4, not 3. Yeesh.

Yelp
We waited 30 min passed our reservation time for our table for the most average food and a 300$ bill.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch. Absolutely beautiful place! It is located in the hotel. Vibe is super modern and pleasant. Place was surprisingly quiet. We definitely enjoyed how relaxing it was to have brunch here. Their menu for brunch was pretty good. I had crab cakes Benedict, kale salad and we shared some fries and beignets. We also had some non alcoholic drinks that were amazing, not sweet like in other places. We loved it. Fries were amazing as well, had wedges that gave it additional taste. Kale salad was decent but also had spinach in it, my husband cannot have spinach so he wasn't able to eat it. Beignets were the worst part of the meal. Definitely not great. We had much better beignets in the past. Service was very good, and friendly. Overall, great place with lots of selection and gorgeous interior.

Yelp
Flor fina is an ideal brunch spot when it comes to happy bright vibes for an affordable price. I will always make this a go-to brunch spot because I am highly opposed to all these overrated overpriced new brunch spots popping up in tampa that charge you $18 for a drink and $22 for an entree that ends up being bland or not perfectly cooked! On the other hand, Flor Fina is reasonably priced and their food is actually very flavorful and satisfying. I got my go to brunch drink--a Bloody Mary-- for just $6, and then the girls got fancy brunch drinks that they said were delightful. They also had the most carefully curated dishes for brunch, centered around flavor and cooked to perfection. I got a sunny side egg on my chicken biscuit and it was cooked perfectly. The chicken thigh itself was not too heavily fried and was juicy and delectable inside. We got the pancakes for the table and they were a hit! It comes covered in this blackberry compote that is the perfect balance of sweet and juicy, and the brown butter sugar is so yummy you don't even need syrup! I also got a side of cheesy grits and they were so creamy and delicious!! The service was beyond accommodating, I never had an empty water cup and the server was so friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait to come back and try all the rest of their incredible menu.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, amazing food! Went with a larger group and we were all very impressed with this place. Honestly wasn't expecting much of the food, but it blew me away! We all agree the table side paella was one of the best we've has ever had. They put their unique spin on it and it was divine! We also ordered the meatballs, scallops crudo, and tuna app which were all delicious as well. Almost everyone at the table ordered the plantain crusted snapper. It was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The only thing we didn't like as much was the white bean ravioli. It was good, but wish the white beans were more puréed or something - was a little strange to have actual beans inside the ravioli. The drinks and service were also good. Definitely will be going back!

Yelp
Took my sister here for brunch on her bday & it was lovely. Our server Theo was amazing, super sweet + chill. He brought out a cute pastry for my sister after discovering it was her bday which was nice. The menu is upscale & southern-influenced from what I remember, our iced coffees were perfect, and it was a really nice overall experience. The aesthetic is charming too, especially for natural light enthusiasts + green lovers :))

Yelp
Sat down for a drink at the bar and really enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel/restaurant. Located in the center of Ybor, you almost don't feel like you're in Tampa and instead in NOLA. I'd love to come back and do a staycation or try the food.

Yelp
Flor Fina is an amazing restaurant located in the Hotel Haya, which has an amazing lobby, bar, and restaurant. I ordered the Cazuela De Armurza for take away (see picture). I was not expecting anything close to the cuisine that I had less than 24 hours ago in Chile, but I was wrong. The combination of brisket, black beans, rice, avocado napa slaw, and pickled fresno chile were amazing. The staff was so nice and the restaurant ambiance was perfect for any meeting or intimate get together.

Yelp
Had dinner here on a Thursday night with family. This restaurant is in the Hotel Haya. This hotel has a nice modern chic decor. The menu is small but there are a good variety of items. The food, service, and prices are upscale . The food was delicious. We started with sangria and a upscale bread basket. Next I had the braised beef short ribs. I changed the side to a potato purée which came on another entree. (Don't like blue cheese). These short ribs are probably the best entree on the menu. Fork tender. My family had numerous small plates for dinner. The crab & coconut soup I tried was very good. Our waiter and his assistant were excellent. There is street parking and also valet by the hotel. I believe they discount the parking fee for restaurant guests.

Yelp
Finally tried Flora Fina out for brunch! I have been before but usually at nighttime. In the day time, you can really see how beautiful the restaurant is! Very modern and posh. The food was excellent and good portions. I cannot recommend the whipped ricotta enough, it was delicious! I also got the chicken biscuit and added a side of cheese grits. My sandwhich was huge and very good and the cheese grits were phenomenal! We also got coffee that seemed to come straight from their cafe. I only took a star off because the service was a bit slow. Overall, a good brunch experience!

Yelp
Last Sunday we went for brunch to celebrate one of our friends. I did the valet parking, but you can also park on your own. I previously came for dinner with my friend, but that's my first time for brunch. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holiday, and the ambiance is very warm and cozy. We had an amazing server, Bethlehem. She was very attentive. Everyone was pleased with their meal selection, and we enjoyed our bubbly rosé. I can honestly say it's definitely a great place to have either brunch and dinner.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant for brunch with friends. Although the menu is quite limited, we enjoyed the drinks and the very cozy atmosphere. The service is great. I particularly enjoyed my mojito made with Venezuelan rum and, for the main course, a burger with a side salad that was very fresh.

Yelp
What a beautiful place!!! Unfortunately, it reminds me of the song from chorus line in reverse. Looks 10 everything else 3. Started with a lovely welcome (apparently complimentary) 1/2 oz aperitif that ended up on the check at $4.00 each. The meatball appetizer was the highlight of the evening. The meatballs were delicious soft and tender and served with a tasty red sauce, ricotta and parmesan cheeses. The white bean raviolii appetizer was good. Our sever was pleasant but not very attentive. We received an entree we did not order. Honest mistake, which was very pleasantly and quickly rectified. However, the unordered entree was on the check as well as the four entrees that were ordered. Five entrees for the four of us wish there was more of us. The wild boar osso buco was a pork shank; the preparation was tasty; however, not certain it was really worthy of the title osso buco. The fried cauliflower entree missed the mark. The presentation was attractive. The breading was nearly flavorless. The broccoli was perfectly cooked, totally without seasoning and served cold. The gravy was again attractively presented; unfortunately, it was lacking in flavor and served almost as cold as the broccoli. When we arrived, the house music was a nice upbeat vibe at a pleasant voice for conversation. Part way through dinner the DJ appeared at the bar and the volume increased and increased. A great vibe at the bar; not so wonderful in the dining room. Fortunately, we were at the far end of the room. And it was tolerable but not pleasant. All in all cannot recommend and will not be returning.

Yelp
Visited for dinner a few nights ago with a friend. Food was delicious, everything tasted amazing. Service was a little weird. Not sure what was going on with our waiter but their behavior was so distracting that we ended up calling the manager to our table twice. Ambiance is quite nice, nice vibes.
google avatar

Ally A.

Yelp
The vibe. Omg the vibe. We visited for Sunday brunch with a reservation. The food was so fresh and filling. I can't wait to go back. The service was excellent. We ordered something incorrect, and they were able to fix it quickly - avoiding all crises. They suggest ordering the English Breakfast. I second that idea. You receive so much food for the price. I left behind a sausage and half my cheese grits. You may want to skip the Cuban bread. It's delicious, but for $7 you get these little narrow sticks of toasted bread. I was imagining Columbia-style slabs of bread.

Kaelyn M.

Yelp
The ambiance and vibes were good. The ALTs were very good, probably one of the better ones I've had--the tomato jam/spread is a good touch. Don't get the $18/glass coquito tho, might as well make it yourself LOL (this was sent back)

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner party of 9. The staff were wonderful, patient and attentive. Since there were a lot of us, we ordered most of the menu and shared plates so we could taste as many dishes as we could. Everything we ordered - food and drinks - were so freaking good! The whole party loved all the food and we want to return again. Highly recommend trying it out!
google avatar

Yelp
I am not sure what was going on the Tuesday night we went. There were a lot of tables and lounge areas open, but the host informed us it would be a 20 min wait. Maybe short staffed? We got a smoked whitefish dip and a shrimp crudo to start. We also split the El Cubano sandwich. The shrimp was plump. The plantains that came with the whitefish were a great pairing to the crudo. The dining experience at Flor Fina is more upscale, intimate.
google avatar

Yelp
Had dinner here with my sister for our weekly dinner date and the place was amazing! We started with two appetizers, scallops (Agua Chile) and Prime Tenderloin Beef Tartare. Very tasty. We ordered the paella which was prepared at our table. That was delicious! You could taste the freshness of the seafood! We ended our dinner with a Quattro Leches cake. Very decisions! Service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. Highly recommend recommend to try this place.
google avatar

Danessa D.

Yelp
To start off with the good, the interior design was beautiful! It's a stunning place to have a meal. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark for me. I came for brunch and had the English breakfast detour. The grits had no seasoning or flavor. It wasn't really a meal that was well-crafted together, in my opinion. The bacon and garlic pork sausage were delicious though! The drinks were not good to me and I had to ask for extra ingredients to make it to my liking.

Yelp
Met a friend here for lunch and since they have different menus depending on when you go, please keep that in mind. Let me just say that the ambience, vibe, interior or whatever you want to call it is on point. The service was also excellent! Now if it was just base on those, this will be a 5 star review. Unfortunately, there's something to be said about their lunch menu. Again, our reservation was for a weekday lunch. Comparing their dinner and brunch menu, this review might've been a little different. Located in Ybor inside Hotel Haya, this restaurant has been on my radar. They conveniently have valet parking for $10, for those like me, didn't want to deal with finding a parking space in Ybor or walking around the block to park in one of the parking garages. They have a nice cocktail selection. I went with espresso martini and my friend decided on mimosa. Pretty standard and nothing notable. For our meal, I decided to try out their Agua de Sandia ceviche to start with since I loveee ceviches. For $18, I was expecting a bit more than what was served. To me it was just tasteless. Not even the pomelo added that citrus kick that it needed. We also decided to try the She Crab and Coconut soup. They were able to accommodate us when we ask if could get it in two separate bowls. Now, this soup was really good, the coconut milk complimented the crab real well. We were both happy about it. It took us some time to decide on the main dish but we both opted for the Tiger Bowl and hers with a side of steak fries. This was so mediocre and neither of us finished it. I took it home to my husband whose first words were, "that was not good," after taking a few bites of my left over. I do plan on going back to try out their dinner or brunch menu and hopefully have a better luck with their entrees and a 5 star review update!

Yelp
At lunch today the service was very friendly and accommodating! They did seem a little understaffed but the food was delicious!!

Yelp
I loved this spot! This is my second time here and I'm still blown away by the food. The restaurant is beautiful and has so many unique details to see. We really loved sitting in the dining room with all of the books. We enjoyed both of the appetizers we got, and I've really enjoyed the Ybor style brick chicken too. I definitely plan on coming back to try more food! Our server was awesome too! We ubered here, so I'm not sure the best place to park. I think the hotel offers valet!

Yelp
Who knew Ybor City had a great restaurant other than Columbia Restaurant? I had a great time at Flor Fina. I can easily take the trolly from my house and get off in Ybor. The restaurant is inside of Hotel Haya. When you walk in there's a DJ playing music. Tons of spread out seating. First up $18 Smokey Joe (Old fashioned) absolutely delicious! 1 yuge clear ice cube just how I like it. And it's super smokey. $14 Spanish onion soup - standard $18 Beef Tartar - standard $14 Ybor Chop - I like how all of the ingredients are separated. Really liked this salad. $18 Morcilla Mezzalune - 2nd best only to Il Ritorno in downtown St. Pete. Flavor on point and excellent. $12 Broccolini - 2nd only to Jay Luigi in St. Pete. Very good $13 Brussel sprouts - Finally a place in Tampa Bay with brussel sprouts scoring 8/10. Very high score from me as I try them at every restaurant and am very picky. The decor here is cool with a fun atmosphere. Good date spot.

Yelp
The food is great here! Cuban style with a modern gourmet twist. Excellent service at the bar and a beautiful ambiance. Things to know: You have to try the peacock drink! The best day to go is Friday! Not too busy and a great band or DJ. They have very clean restrooms as this is the lobby of an upscale hotel in Ybor. We ordered the Cuban sandwich egg rolls which was served with a delicious mustard sauce. Note, this dish contains pickles. And we also tried the carne empanadas. There is a mix of Pollo, ropa vieja, and a kale mix veggie empanada that are all absolutely delicious. I can't wait to visit again. Please check out my photos. If you enjoyed this review you can VOTE for it and please hit the love it, thanks, or useful button!

Yelp
It was a hole in the wall to be quite honest with you, I didn't even realize that this was here until my friend literally grabbed the door and opened it. Definitely ducked off in the corner when you're walking down street side. But once you enter, you realize it is truly just a beautiful place, clearly it was a hotel from the way people were walking in and out, and when we looked outside you can see the pool deck, and that was beautiful. The food was just as good, I ordered the chicken sandwich, which I forgot to take a picture of, and a friend of mine ordered the burger, and we completely demolished that. The empanadas were just as good as well. I believe it was beef, but I just can't remember, nor can I find the menu. The drinks weren't so great, at least the one that I ordered. It was recommended to me from the bartender and I wish I would've went with the one that I originally selected over what he recommended. The aftertaste was just a bit bitter, and nothing that I can truly save her or even remember. Outside of that I did like the ambience of the place and I would return just off of the ambience and service.

Yelp
Good food and service. The agua chile was especially good, as was the banana cream trifle. The octopus was overcooked and rubbery. It was already quite loud due to a private event, and then they turned music on so loud it sounded like being in a club. I had to put an earplug in one ear to tolerate the noise. Despite a few less minor complaints, the parts that were good more than made up for any negatives.

Yelp
Oh no y'all, service is rough. 3 bartenders who don't know what is up vs down. Took 30 minutes to get a bottle of wine... got the wrong bottle after the cork got broken on the first one. It was honestly comical and we didn't care! But then we ordered food... we ordered soup and patatas gravas and everything was cold. With no silverware. Keep in mind the place wasn't busy at all... Would of been different if the bartenders were nice or acknowledged our existence and said sorry

Yelp
Incredibly courteous staff and an elegant ambiance. The food was wonderful and plated both thoughtfully and creatively. We really enjoyed visiting the library in the back as well!

Yelp
The cutest place ever! Definitely great for photos with the girls during brunch! The service was okay but I'm very understanding and don't take things personal. Some of the girls in our group wasn't satisfied. Overall I enjoyed my food and time at the establishment!

Yelp
So bottom line up front, because I have a lot to review: Flor Fina isn't worth the hype and is just another instagrammable location that misses the mark for brunch and service, in my experience, and that since Flor Fina is private property, no one can take pics of their food or else they'll steal it and use it for their own financial and commercial gain. Parking isn't the best. Brunch at Flor Fina is very mediocre and over hyped. I went with my girls for brunch, the menu is very limited but there's something that could potentially please everyone if executed correctly. One of my friend's, Monte Cristo came out cold and wasn't a fan -- she didn't eat it. My other friend ordered the Breakfast Brunch well done and it came out, the complete opposite. Some people may judge a well done burger, but she should get what she paid for. After terrible service and long wait, she didn't even want to sent the burger back. I was the only one somewhat satisfied with my Eggs Havana, but it is also very hard to mess up veggies in tomato sauce. I did have to ask for salt and pepper, which took forever for them to bring out. The door staff /hostess and host seemed so spaced out and unsure of themselves, it was very unwelcoming. Our waiter didn't know what coffees they had to offer and stated they only have vanilla after I asked if I could order coffee from the table. I asked about floral flavors and he said they didn't have any. After dinner, I walked by their coffee shop to exit the building and they did, in fact, have floral flavor... LAVENDER! We ended up emailing the management about our experience, who was very sincere, understanding of our concern, and helped rectify that situation. ** BUT ** (there's more) On top of a less than satisfying first experience, as I was the only person who somewhat enjoyed their order, I posted a VIDEO REEL, on my instagram to later find out that their social media ambassador, Natalie Hovee, stole my reel ...meaning to download an app of some sort to take a creative work that wasn't hers or paid for on the behalf of Flor Fina. I sent a kind email to many contacts of Flor Fina explaining how this was unacceptable to steal from creators and included an invoice. Her defense was that she thought I'd appreciate the "exposure" and that Flor Fina is private property and doesn't allow people taking pictures or videos of their food that they have paid for, though there is no signage ANYWHERE on the property ! She responded once and their team as a whole ignored this situation. So I guess all these photos on yelp are also illegal and not acceptable. . .

Yelp
Their brunch is amazing. The seating and atmosphere here is perfect for a rainy day. You can ask to sit under the glass roof and it's so cozy and beautiful with a drink.

Yelp
This review is for drinks, ambiance and service only. Once I return for dinner I will update my review. But you should definitely experience this restaurant if you are in Ybor City. The Friday night we went they had live music throughout the night by a group who often plays there called Kafkasso Flamenco Trio. They were setup on the window side of the bar with a bunch of people enjoying them. The bar and high tops in the area were first-come and you could also see them play. Good selection of wines and specialty cocktails plus a full bar. Service was fantastic.

Yelp
Le me start by saying the atmosphere in this place is quaint. It is in the Haya hotel, Cuban theme! The food was yummy and interesting. We choose several different plates starting with the meatballs, pan con tomato, she soup & Cobb salad. Those dishes were amazing! As the photo shows. Everything eaten! The flavors yummy. We also ordered the red encrusted plantain snapper. We didn't think it was snapper as individuals who eat often in The Keys , but that's what they said it was. You couldn't taste the plantains. It isn't something we'd order again! Service was on point! We would eat here again.

Yelp
I loved the decorations and the ambiance of the restaurant! Their new glasswork hanging in the ceiling was so beautiful and I loved the colors of the seats on the inner dining area and the glass ceiling and windows on the side. Their food was amazing and I really liked their portions as I'm not one to be able to finish my food a lot, their dessert menu was also amazing and our server was so kind! They even have a private dining area that you can reserve and it has books all along the walls as well, definitely will be back again!

Yelp
We were very excited to eat here because we had heard good things but I will never go again. The food was fine but honestly the worst service I have had in a very long time.

Yelp
My friend and I were eager to try this place, but we were ultimately disappointed. The advertised outdoor area turned out to be more of a glass greenhouse setup. Upon seating, we noticed dirty tables. Our server, while friendly, seemed either inexperienced or off that day. Drinks took about 15 minutes, and the appetizer arrived without plates, napkins, or utensils. Our order, taken without pen and paper, resulted in a missed item, though, at that point, we were ready to leave. Despite these issues, the food was decent. Personally, I would have preferred two orders of the breakfast empanadas over the Cubano we chose. A significant concern was the lack of an itemized receipt; my card was charged without seeing a bill. This practice should not be normalized. While we probably won't return, we were at least content to cross it off our list.

Yelp
Flor Fina is good, not great. The Ybor City spot is nestled into the hip Haya hotel, and really wants to be better than its food allows. The decor and ambiance is its best feature, with moody and quiet tables that allow for a great, low-key date night. The food is tapas style, with some larger entrees that could serve as shared main courses. The prices are high, and the food quality is only ok. In my opinion, their best feature is the "build your own Old Fashioned" (on the cocktail menu), but even that was fairly disappointing as I ended up with a $16 drink that didn't taste nearly as smokey as I was hoping. We shared several tapas, and they were decent. I had the Leche de Tigre ceviche, and it didn't wow me. We also shared the octopus, and gnudi. None of it was memorable or inspired, but also not terrible. We opted to have dessert elsewhere at that point. It's good enough. I'd say it's beautiful but needs a bit more substance.

Yelp
I knew ahead of time that there was valet at the hotel, but when I pulled up, I was literally ignored by every valet. I thought they were closed. I finally open my door and someone came running to me. That wasn't a very good start to the night, but I was hopeful. The hotel lobby is absolutely beautiful and a staff member was able to guide me to the hostess stand to check in. The ambience and the decor of Flor Fina absolutely outshined everything. When you walk in, there's a live band playing very beautiful music and all of the tables and lounge seating has very intimate lighting at the table. It was stunning. Our server started us off immediately with a palate cleansing wine that came in this cute little glass already at our table. It was absolutely delicious and was a great starter for the night. We ordered two spicy margaritas, and for some reason one came out way spicier than the other. We also ordered a cucumber gimlet, which was not very good. So I would definitely stick to the drinks on the cocktail menu and don't get too creative. For starters, we ordered the chorizo meatballs, which was recommended by the hostess. The meatballs were flavorful and was plated over a deliciously thick red eggplant based sauce. The bread crumb crunch on top was the perfect compliment to the soft pillow meatballs. I wish they were more (only came with 3) The bone marrow beef tartare came on a piece of bone, which I thought was brilliant. It was absolutely divine with that soft Cristini. It wasn't too hard to bite into and it was definitely a great starter for dinner. I ordered the Churrasco skirt steak with a bone marrow butter enhancement. I ordered mine medium well, and even though it was a little under, it was still pretty flavorful and I enjoyed it. I don't think the butter was that big of a difference. I think next time I will do the Flambee enhancement because it comes with a show. I ended up, leaving my car at the valet and down 7th street for some drinks. I came back to the hotel only to find out that the valet forgot to mention I needed to get my ticket validated for the $10 fee they advised me of. I told attendant about how I was ignored when I first got there, and in order to rush me into the restaurant. I'm sure they failed to mention I need to get validated for a restaurant 5 feet away from the valet stand. They were able to assist me, but I definitely will not be going through there valet service anymore. It's ran by literal teenagers. Overall, I really enjoyed their new and enhanced menu. It's a great location for a date night.

Yelp
I was absolutely blown away by the taste and quality of this food. We wanted to try a little of everything so we shared some apps-the pineapple guacamole had a little spicy kick to it that surprised me. The Cuban sandwich sticks were like little egg rolls with an amazing mustard sauce. The panzanella salad-WOW. Huge house made croutons that were nice and crispy, tossed in a bowl with tomato, cucumber, and onion, with basil and a soft creamy cheese...it blew my socks off. For entrees we shared a Salmon Ceviche bowl and a 'pollito' bowl, with rice and platanos maduros. I suggest you try this place and soon!!

Yelp
This was my second time dining at Flor Fina, but this time we stayed in the hotel. We were in town for a wedding so we happen to over hear that they had brunch on Sunday which was perfect! The brunch started at 10am so we quickly got downstairs to get some before checkout. Since the weekend was filled with adult beverages, we decided to just have water to start ;). Then we got the Primo Omelette with stracciatella, smoked mushroom, & chive and Pancakes with lemon thyme, blackberry compote, & brown sugar butter. Let me just say that this was the BEST brunch we have ever had! The omelette with the smoked mushrooms and stracciatella was to die for! And the pancakes weren't overly sweet and had the perfect touch of lemon and brown sugar. We will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
We loved everything about this place! Our service was outstanding. Their signature painkiller cocktail in the peacock glass was a must for me, I didn't buy the glass. We started with the table side paella! Yummy!!! The outdoor area is beautiful, I enjoyed all the different type of plants. Inside and the tables and bar was cozy and felt lux. We will definitely go back!
