The Best Korean Restaurants in South Florida | Eater Miami

"Mijin Lee’s restaurant in the Edgewater neighborhood offers a solid, affordable menu of her family recipes. Focus on the bulgogi, the several fried rice entrees, and (spicy or not) sweet potato, wheat, or egg noodle bowls. For vegetarian or vegan options, fill up with hearty dishes like vegetable japchae, and vegan jajang myeon (noodles in black bean sauce) made with black bean paste. Pair the dishes with kimchi that Lee learned how to make by hand in her South Korean home’s backyard. Wash it all down in Korean style with sake, soju, or the sparkling Icing white grape makgeolli (milky, off-white, and lightly sparkling rice wine)." - Juliana Accioly

Fuchai Chinese & Korean Kitchen Review - Edgewater - Miami - The Infatuation

"Fuchai is a small Edgewater spot that has a menu split pretty evenly between Chinese and Korean food. We prefer the Korean dishes - which include bulgogi and japchae - over the Chinese ones. But neither side of the menu is really too impressive, and this place is more of a third-string back-up plan - or a viable option if you're stuck in Edgewater and absolutely need kimchi." - Ryan Pfeffer

It’s my second time at Fuchai and the quality of food hasn’t changed. First time was for my best friends birthday and second time my partners birthday. Our server Veronica was very attentive and friendly. The lady who is the chef and cooks all the meals is amazing, I wish I had asked her name. We ordered Jajangmyeon with beef and it was enough for two people. My partner ordered the bibimbap. Plus Beer and sake. Everything was tasty. 10/10.

I came by myself for a late lunch on a Friday and I had the most wonderful experience. The ambiance of the place feels very comfortable. The place itself isn’t very large but it doesn’t feel crowded, instead it’s very cozy. The food itself it’s delicious and authentic. I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae (김치찌개) and the Handmade Shrimp Dumplings. The soup came in a stone pot (돌솥) literally boiling still! Amazing!! The flavor was deep and nuanced. It wasn’t too spicy or bland either. The chunks of pork, tofu, kimchi, and green onions were perfectly balanced and worked well with the broth. It came with a good portion of white rice, which when mixed with the soup created an amazing eating experience. The shrimp dumpling were clearly made at the moment I ordered them. They were packed with filling. The sauce that came with them too went amazing with the dumplings. It was just the right amount of salty and umami. The staff were so kind and attentive. They made sure I ordered what I would like and made sure I lacked nothing the whole time I was there. Another thing was that the bathroom was not only beautifully decorated but also amazingly clean. The only note I would add to those that want to come here is that parking can be slightly tricky since there’s only street parking available. The street this restaurant is on is currently under construction as of April 2025. I suggest looking for parking nearby and if there isn’t any, a few blocks away there is plenty of parking on 22nd Street, only a five minute walk from the restaurant. Overall, 10/10, will come back again!

Long time customers of Fuchai, our favorites are the galbi ribs, pork belly bao, veggie japchae, kimchi and kimchi stew and of course the wings. We ordered catering from them for my husbands birthday, a party of 12 people, and not only were we pleasantly under budget but we also had nothing but RAVE REVIEWS. The Fuchai team was so easy to work with, payment was a breeze, pickup was efficient and the whole thing felt as if I was working with a friend. Big thank you to the Fuchai team!!! Pics are of catering event April ‘25. 10/10 do recommend. Support small business!!!

Fuchai always hits the spot… the food is fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. I love their kimchi soup, the samgyeopsal, and the bulgogi… everything is cooked perfectly every time. The dumplings and noodles are great too! The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. If you’re craving good Korean food and a chill vibe, definitely check this place out!

Google
I tried the Spicy Jjampong and Spicy Chicken Bao buns. It’s evident I love spice! The soup was very fulfilling and tasty and the bao buns with spicy chicken were soft and flavorful. The soup is great for one person if you’re really hungry but can also be shared since the portion is big. Staff is friendly and there’s also a cute patio/garden area out back to enjoy. Will definitely be going back to try other dishes soon.

If you’re looking for authentic, homemade Korean food, this is the place to go. I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality has remained consistently excellent—something you can’t say about many restaurants in Miami. The owner takes great pride in both her food and hospitality, making every visit feel special. She even makes the kimchi herself from scratch, the true, traditional Korean way. If you love supporting small local businesses, this is definitely one worth visiting. And if you need further proof of its authenticity, the restaurant is always filled with Asian diners—a rare sight in this city, which speaks volumes. Highly recommend!

Great flavor and good serving sizes. Enjoyed the food a lot!

Google
I am delighted with this restaurant! I am both a delivery and dine-in customer. My favorites so far are their japchae, green onion pancake, beef bibimbap, pork belly bao buns, and the Korean bbq wings, but everything I've tried is GOOD. The Korean flavors are authentically unparalleled and the portion sizes big enough for you to share with someone or have leftovers. I hope they add tteobbokki (spicy rice cakes) and haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) to the menu one day! Kind regards to the server Veronica who is always attentive.

Constantino V.

Yelp
The food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is always ready to help pick a dish if you are unsure.

Yelp
Late review, but highly recommended! Everyone knows I love Asian food, and this gem satisfied my craving. It was a very cute & quaint establishment with attentive service. I'd definitely return whenever in MIA!

Yelp
There isn't much Korean food options in Miami. Fuchai doesn't even sound Korean. In reality, this place is a mixture of Korean and Chinese flavors. There are very Chinese dishes like lo mein and bao buns. There are some Korean dishes too like kalbi (though not presented Korean style). In the end, it more more a fusion of flavors, rather than an attempt to be authentically Korean. You may like it; but to me and my family, it missed the mark. Portions were kind of small, prices were a bit high, and the taste was a little lacking. For example, the Korean fried wings used a honey garlic glaze. The popular KFC style produces a crispy wing. These were a bit soggy and the glaze lacked a nice soy accent. The pork belly was tender, but the portion size was small for its price. No complimentary banchan either, a hallmark of Korean restaurants. It's not a bad restaurant at all. I would, though, search elsewhere for my Korean cravings.

Yelp
A great neighborhood find! If you're looking for authentic and homey Asian food, this is your spot. Very small restaurant with one waitress and several tables inside (as well as an outside terrace), but the service is friendly. You can't go wrong with the shrimp dumplings as a starter, which are homemade, by the way. For an entree, the spicy chicken and bibimbap are some of my favs. The portions are also very generous!

Yelp
Good thing we made a reservation. We came around 7PM on a Tuesday. This small restaurant filled up quickly and a large group decided to be outside. Bibimbap was delicious. Served on a heavy heated stone bowl. We ordered too many pork belly buns and bulgogi buns. They were filling and delicious. It is not too easy finding a Korean restaurant near the hotels. Was glad to have found the restaurant walkable.

Yelp
Ordered take out from this Korean restaurant and while I found it to be a Chinese/korean food mix I thought it was delicious and the portions were huge! I got the spicy pork with rice and the black beans noodles which were more than enough food for two people. The black bean noodles were great with a thick sauce and plenty of chicken and vegetables. The spicy pork was my favorite it was a medium spice level but the pork was tender, juicy and the sauce was kind of sweet yet salty and paired perfectly with the unseasoned rice. It's right next to my house so I can't wait to come in for more and dine in next time!

Yelp
The atmosphere was really cool. I haven't been to Korea, but if I do, I expect the restaurants to be like this. Food was incredible and the waitress was really kind and highly recommended the Samgyeopsal

Yelp
Cute and cozy spot for some Korean fusion eats! Limited seating indoors but we were able to get seated immediately around 8pm on a Wednesday night. Friendly staff and good variety on the menu especially for vegan and vegetarian options. Unlike typical Korean restaurants they don't offer banchan for free. However portion were solid for the price, I loved the crispy rice on the bibimbap and the japchae actually exceeded my expectations. Definitely can skip out on the kimchi fried rice, a bit sour and there was no egg for some reason (we ordered this for take out).

Yelp
Very cozy neighborhood Korean restaurant! My second time visiting, with some Uber eats orders in between. I love love the tofu kimchi pot soup! It's a little spicy and also hearty. The bulgogi and bimpipap are also some of my favorites. There are only about 5 tables inside and one waitress who is knowledgeable, offering recommendations and good service overall. It's hard to come across good (not super expensive) Korean food in Miami, but this place delivers!
google avatar

Yelp
Super good Korean specialties in an intimate setting. Appreciated the quick and helpful service and help deciding which veggie orders to try. The vegan japchae and panjeon were both excellent - the former had a great bite, well cooked, generous mushroom and veggies (with tofu added) and the latter had a good scallion flavor though was slightly thick for my exact taste (and what the frozen Hmart versions have accustomed me to perhaps!). Food came fresh to order and without delay. Was grateful we could get a table for two as a walk in on a Thursday night at 8pm. My only wish is that they offered Impossible meat bulgogi in addition to the default option--I'd devour it!

Yelp
FUCHAI IS THE SPOT. My Korean friend told me this was the best place for Korean food so I obviously trusted her coming here. I am so glad I did. This place is authentic, tasty, full of flavor, and unforgettable. I absolutely loved the japchae noodles. They were so light yet so filling. The flavor was just what I needed it to be and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The sweet waitress asked me if I wanted to add tofu and (as a vegetarian) of course I did so yummy with the tofu. My hubby got the bibimbap and it was very good as well, especially with the added sauce Our waitress was very kind and attentive. She found us a table fast and helped us feel comfortable although it is a smaller place. I recommend getting here before the crazy dinner rush starts (before 7/8 pm). This place is great. I highly recommend trying it if you can get here.

Yelp
I recently dined at Fuchai, a Korean restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was exquisite, bursting with authentic flavors. The service was great; the staff was attentive, friendly. The restaurant's cleanliness was impressive, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Fuchai to anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine with exceptional service in a clean and inviting setting.

Yelp
Pretty good and authentic Korean restaurant Food is interesting. I enjoyed it. Bulgogy seemed a bit cheery but flavors were good Staff is very nice and accommodating Had some indigestion after eating which is odd because I like spicy food. Small place and cost. Good for lunch

Yelp
Ordered this on Fourth of July to IHG hotel and watch the firework , really hit the spot with the pork belly kimchie jiggae and steamed dumpling - very good kimchi , fresh and come in big portions. Wish they had more items like galbi tang
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered takeout and loved it! Tried the bibimbap, lo mein and bulgogi bao. I was sharing with one other person and the portion size did not dissapoint. We have so much leftover. Food was still hot when it arrived with was amazing! Used delivery through grubhub, driver was nice. Bibimbap was our favorite but they were all really tasty. Defiently ordering again!
google avatar

Yelp
This was an excellent restaurant! It's very small inside just a few tables but my family of 6 went at just the right time and sat right down. You can make reservations too. I had the sweet potato noodles with bulgogi and steamed dumplings. My granddaughter had the lo mein and both were delicious. I will go back again!

Yelp
A charming little spot that will soon be de hung breakfast as well! My friend and I ordered the pork bao buns, lovely, and we also shared the Bibimbap. The server mixes it for you and all. It was delicious. We went a little after lunch rush hour, so we had the place to ourselves, but we were also in a bit of a hurry. Would love to come back and try more! The food was delicious and the service perfect. I do feel is an authentic spot. Parking on the street, we didn't have a problem finding any. The coffee was also good!

Yelp
Not home made Korean but ok food a little bit oily and missing punch The service is ok. The ambience Is your typical Asian restaurant with TV broadcasting Asian series....
google avatar

Yelp
This is an amazing Korean spot between Edgewater and Wynwood! The food is delicious and authentic. The veggie japjae is our favorite along with the shrimp dumplings, fried. We can share a dish between three of us and it's filling with hearty portions for the prices listed. Parking should be down the road near a pay by phone zone. Try it out!

Yelp
Wow what a nice surprise! Such a cute and absolutely delicious little hole in the wall near our midtown apartment! We ordered for pick up and the lady was so helpful on the phone and suggested popular items that were all WINS! Their spicy Korean bbq wings, Vegetable Pajeon, Kimchi are all delicious appetizers and immediate go to's for our future orders. The Deji Bulgogi (spicy pork) & the Jajang Myeon with added beef were the entrees we ordered - although we were stuffed by this point both of them are authentic tasting and a perfect mix of savory & spicy. Easily on our favorites list & will be returning again soon!!

Yelp
An awesome Korean restaurant with a wide selection of dishes! We ordered all the dishes below as well as the pork and shrimp dumplings and the Bao bun pork belly (not pictured). There was nothing bad to be said about any of the dishes they all had amazing flavor! Side note, restaurant is tucked away on the street and is small for indoor dining, but we all know, those are the best restaurants!

Ivan R.

Yelp
Cozy yummy and relaxed, more for take away but they do have a small dine in area if you want to stay in
google avatar

Harrison C.

Yelp
This place is great! It looks very small and unassuming, but this is incredible food for a decent price. My dad and I got the bibimbap and the black bean wheat noodles. Both were exceptionally good. And it was so much food I took home nearly 3/4ths of the black bean noodles and had them for lunch the next day. Definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the Wynwood area.
google avatar

Frieda S.

Yelp
The service was great, however, I was a little disappointed in the food. The cucumber kimchi lacked flavor, needed salt, spice, and that umami taste. Vegetable/ tofu stir fry was good but being vegetarian, $20 was quite pricey for some rice and veggies.
google avatar

Juan G.

Yelp
Amazing food discrete environment great value for your money, unpretentious Korean home cooking that never fails to awake your taste buds. I wish they had Korean beer as well, but no loss in merit!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Bulgogi spot. Love the ambiance nice and cozy . Place is small so usually one server but service is usually prompt and have good recommendations.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
I recently moved and haven't had the opportunity to come to this place..but.. honestly the ambiance is very welcoming, the music was very vibey, the food was delicious and the owner was so sweet. 10/10...would recommend

Yelp
Ordered the spicy chicken gui! At first sight the portion looks super small but as you start eating you realize it's actually a lot of food which is always fantastic. Only reason for the 4 stars is bc it wasn't really spicy but it was delicious nonetheless! my friends were also very satisfied with all of their orders here :) (bibimbap, bulgogi, and the vegetarian noodle dish)

Yelp
We were looking for a good meal last minute on a Friday night around Wynwood/Midtown. I thought this place was going to be packed but there was plenty of room. Fuchai has both an outdoor patio and a small dining area which is very cozy. The service was very attentive. I ordered the spicy chicken gui and it was one of the best chicken dishes that I have ever had. The portion was big and delicious, and the food came out fairly quickly. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Miami and I will be back.

Yelp
Delicious, understated, great vegetarian options. Best Korean food in Miami. Vegetable Bibimbap was delicious

Yelp
So happy to have discovered this little gem! It's a great date spot or if you're looking to eat some dank comfort food. My s.o. and i went there on a Friday night around 7pm and we were seated super quick- no wait at all. The food was SO good- we first started with the fried chicken wings w/ Korean BBQ sauce. Finger licking good!!! Then we ordered the dolsot bibimba and the bulgogi with lettuce. These two dishes are a must if you're dining at this spot. The service was also really good- our server was super friendly. I will definitely come back to Fuchai to get my Korean food fix.

Luis C.

Yelp

Yelp
This used to be a spot we had to come to when we dropped down in MIA. After tonight's experience, I can't see us coming back. Food was ok, not great. But the service was poor, I've never been to a restaurant that charged the client for the kitchens mistake. They also added an auto 18% gratuity. Hard pass.
google avatar

Lenny C.

Yelp
Excellent Thai place in Wynwood neighborhood of Miami. We sat in the back courtyard of the restaurant, which very pleasant and curiously entered from the side street. Spectacular service from a super friendly waiter. I had the bulgogi, which comes with a side of rice. Somewhat smallish portions but delicious.
google avatar

Alexis Andrea N.

Yelp
What? Great Korean food in Miami? Scratch that, there is great Asian food in Miami?! As a native of NJ, and a stepdaughter of a Beijing native, I'm a pain in the a$$ with how picky I am with Asian food. Basically I have a stubborn philosophy of not eating Asian food in Miami. So was super surprised to stumble upon this gem! So much of a hole in the wall that you could miss it, cozy, chill and delicious. I got the soju, wings, tofu soup, and beef bulgogi. Everything had delicate but hard hitting combinations of flavor. Definitely recommend! The Korean movies were a great touch :-)

Sherry Z.

Yelp
Best Korean restaurant in Miami! I am from LA and this restaurant is totally up to the "Los Angeles " standard for Asian food. Very authentic. Have been ordering from this place two days in a row. Will definitely eat here more.
google avatar

Donut D.

Yelp
First meal after landed in Miami, very disappointed. We knew ahead of time that it's fusion but did not expect that the taste to nowhere near Korean foods. The black bean noodles were too salty that we couldn't finish. I have never had a black bean noodles that the meat is not minced but in dried strips. When we asked for Korean side dishes, the server brought us empty bowls.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
I've only gotten take out since I live close by but it has always been great! They have a great selection of authentic Korean food and other Asian items. I usually get the Dolsot Bibimbap. Always a very generous portion with quality ingredients. Sometimes I can make two meals out of the portion. Even though I get it to go they make sure there's some crispy rice, just how this dish is supposed to be. The egg is cooked perfectly too, I get over easy. The food is always ready fast, packed well with almost anything you could need for your meal. A couple side notes during the pandemic. This location is open for delivery or to go only. They so a good job of cleaning the door and any surface you touch including your signature pen. This is a very local business and not a chain. I encourage you to order from them and consider not using a third party app unless you have to. Prices on those third party apps are more than the restaurant menu price. If you order directly from the business they are doing 20% OFF! Just another reason to order some great food for your upcoming meal!

Ron L.

Yelp
Food was really good here however I think this restaurant is way overpriced for what it was. I can't believe they do not offer banchan with their dishes. You have to pay for each side you order. $9 dollars for kim chi anyone? The waitress was really friendly which was nice however an automatic 20% gratuity is steep. If you want really good Korean food, this place offers it however I find it hard to believe there isn't another really good Korean place for cheaper.
google avatar

Marina M.

Yelp
Bao bun is the best! Champ Champ! definitely eat more! Love their dessert s'more. Food coma after dinner. I've gained some weights. Enjoy!

Yelp
Where do I began? Fuchai. Definitely a hidden gem of midtown/Wynwood Miami. It's a small quaint restaurant located in a plaza area. It has a cute outside setup behind the building. I went here with a group of colleagues and the food was so good. I ordered the dumplings and the Korean pork ribs. Both dishes get two thumbs up. Ribs were tasteful and tender. I came with white rice and slaw. The dumplings--I tried the fried and steamed but I liked the fried better though both were good. As far as drinks they have limited choices, some beers and few wines but enough to be content. The overall price was great especially for the amount of food. Overall, I recommend to others and will definitely be back!

Julio R.

Yelp
Love this place good service, great food my third time. it's cozy and the waiters are very friendly.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Came for a work lunch and was blown away by the flavors! The noodles were AMAZING and enough to feed four people! Food was quick and delicious and exactly what your looking for on lunch break!
google avatar

Jubey D.

Yelp
Oh my, oh my. This place was so good! I've been day dreaming about eating here again, my bf and I decided to make it tradition to come once a month to try the whole menu. The spot is small but clean and cute. Service was exceptional. I got the bimbap bowl and he got noodles, both dishes were great and servings were giant. Wish I took pictures.
google avatar

Noreinys L.

Yelp
I like going here ONLY for the jajangmyeon, if it weren't for how good the jajangmyeon was I would not be going here because it is incredibly overpriced and every time I come back the prices just keep going up. The other food isn't that pleasant, I definitely reccomend the jajangmyeon though.
google avatar

Arlene L.

Yelp
So delicious. Was craving KBBQ and this hit the spot. Can't go wrong with bulgogi anything and the kimchi is homemade it's such a cute small spot. Staff is great and the service was fast. You'll pay ~$20 for a meal but the portions are generous. definitely coming back!
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Not sure about the four stars and amazing reviews. I've eaten here twice and both meals were just okay. The ribs are tender and somewhat flavorful. But they just didn't do it for me. I think they should be marinated much longer. The pork fried rice was bland, too greasy, and included just about every vegetable you could imagine. Additionally the sliced pork was dry and overcooked. Just not much to enthusiastically recommend.
