I’ve ordered the 6 meal plan twice now, but never will I patronize this business again. My first experience involved a slight hiccup regarding my scheduled pickup. They informed me that they could have everything that I ordered that same day (Sunday) except for the fish stew or I could postpone pickup until Tuesday in which case I would receive everything. In addition, the service rep offered me a free side dish, I chose plantains, for the inconvenience.
I opted to wait and pickup my food the following Tuesday. I was glad that I did because the fish stew turned out to be my favorite dish followed by the oxtails.
Satisfied overall with my first order, I decided to order a second time a couple weeks later. I placed my order 2/11/26, I received email confirmation that my order was received and confirmed on 2/14/26. The email stated that my order would be delivered sometime between 3-7pm on 2/15/26. Upon checking my email the afternoon of 2/15/26 I noticed a message from fufunsauce stating that I was the only order for that day, asking whether I would be ok with a Tuesday delivery instead. I promptly responded with “Tuesday is fine” and hit send at 1:37 pm.
At approx 6:42 pm on Sunday I received a text message stating that my order would be delivered by 8:30 pm. Surprised by the message because I wasn’t expecting delivery until Tuesday, I asked today or Tuesday? The business owner then stated that she assumed I wanted the order Sunday night because I had not responded to the message sent via email. I verified that I had in fact responded at 1:37 pm per the message in my sent folder. The owner simply responded. “Aww I did not see it. Sorry about that.”
Little did I know that before the night was over I’d be the one that was sorry. Not only did she not deliver my food until 9:50 pm, but it wasn’t even hot like one might have expected believing the food to have been prepared that night. I was tired by this time and simply placed the food in refrigerator because I had no plans of eating that late anyhow.
The following day at lunch, I quickly learned that the reason the food was not hot when delivered was because it was old. It looked like leftovers from someone’s fridge. I cannot believe that I paid nearly $150 for garbage. I can’t help but wonder what she was doing while she had me wasting my evening, waiting for this OLD food to be delivered.
Words cannot fully express how upset, disappointed, disgusted, and downright angry I am about this entire experience. I texted the owner expressing my dissatisfaction and she has not even had the courtesy to respond. Honestly, I can’t even say that I’m surprised. Her behavior is giving the same level of energy as the food she felt comfortable delivering to me after a long miserable day. Part of me wants to take it personal but I know I did nothing to warrant this treatment so I can only assume that this is how she regularly conducts business. Obviously her focus is on making money, not providing quality food, quality service or loyal customers.
This is quite literally the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
