All the New Restaurants in the Hamptons | Eater NY

"James Beard Award winning TV personality Rocco DiSpirito is bringing his coastal Italian favorites to this Southampton space with soaring ceilings and a large veranda. Among the standouts are impossibly thin pane carasau topped with rosemary and stracchino; paccheri pesto with shrimp; and nut-crusted halibut." - Beth Landman

12 Great Summer Dining Spots in the Hamptons

"Rocco DiSpirito is back, having joined forces with nightlife impresario Kyky Conille to take over Southampton’s former Blue Mar space in Southampton and to open a sister to the Little Italy’s flagship. Among standouts dishes are paccheri with pesto rosso, heirloom tomatoes and local royal red shrimp; Ora king salmon with cashew cream; and whole herb-roasted baby chicken. The back room lounge, Bijoux, revs up later in the evening." - Beth Landman

This is a beautiful spot right in town in Southampton. The restaurant offers spacious indoor and outdoor dining. I loved that the outdoor terrace was covered in beautiful hydrangeas. Service was excellent and the food was tasty! My friends and I ordered many of the dishes on the menu and were blown away by the flavors. Looking forward to going back for another visit to try the rest!

My family and I were so excited to try this restaurant, however we were met with so much disappointment. The service here was beyond awful. When we first sat down, the bus boy brought us stale bread. We told him it was stale and he argued with me that it wasn’t. I pulled out another piece of bread to show him that I couldn’t even pull it apart it was so stale. He finally agreed that it was stale and said he would get us a different batch. Again it was stale. Our waiter took over 20 minutes to greet us and take our drink and appetizer orders. However, we waited patiently and the appetizer came out, but no drinks. The bottle of wine and sprite came out half way through eating our appetizer. The waiter never came back and we had to ask a bus boy to find him so we could put our dinner order in. We ordered our dinners and the waiter asked me if I wanted another sprite and I said I’d wait for my dinner. Once our dinner came out, we never saw our waiter throughout dinner, even after several requests to bus boys that we were looking for him because we wanted more drinks and another bottle of wine. We finally saw the waiter after our dinner plates and drink glasses were cleared. We ordered dessert and that was the last we saw of the waiter for the rest of the night. He didn’t even bring us our check or take it to run our credit cards. Someone else had to do it. Because of this horrible service, I will never come back here. This situation should be addressed. The food was fantastic and the decor was beautiful.

Tonight we were celebrating a birthday and without saying anything the staff made it soooo special with glasses of bubbly and a candled dessert. Besides the wonderful service, by Alex, the food was awesome!! Loved the tuna appetizer and pastas were excellent. I only wish the restaurant stays around for a long time! Thanks for a great dinner!

Unfortunately, the service wasn't good. This was my second visit and it didn't compare. I asked for a simple substitution on pasta. I was told the kitchen doesn't understand English! My dish came out cold but the waiter never came back to check on us. I also tried to get a later reservation and couldn't. Very odd since there were many open tables. Too bad, I loved my first experience.

Google
a true masterclass in hospitality, as a food network fan I was so excited to go to Rocco DiSpirito's restaurant and he was beyond kind and attentive to our group, the wait staff was the same - it did not disappoint! Rocco personally checked in on us multiple times and the food was outstanding - truly highlighting the amazing local produce that the area has to offer. We went with what the chef recommended including the spaghetti pomodoro and the tuna crudo, both were simple but mind blowingly delicious. I can't rave enough about how great of an experience it was and surpassed my expectations. It is a must-visit this season in the Hamptons.

Rocco Despirito does it again! This was some of the best tasting, expertly-prepared fare to be had on the East end of LI. The halibut is not to be missed…that is, if you have room after an appie course which could suffice on its own. Thanks to a wonderful chef and host!

The food, drinks, and atmosphere were phenomenal. We arrived early to our reservation and they were very accommodating. Also, we were celebrating birthday and they brought over complimentary champagne which was a very nice touch.

Since the hours here are limited to the evening on only 4 days of the week, and I was in Southampton on a Sunday at dusk, I decided to try this new establishment. I came here hungry, so I ordered a lot of food. The setting is fabulous, with hydrangeas adorning the pale, chic decor. I started with Sardinian olive oil and cheese-covered pane carasau, which was super yummy. Service was somewhat choppy, with a large gap between the appetizer and main course. However, the wait was definitely worth it, and the paccheri and Brussels sprouts were absolutely worth the splurge. I dream of this meal every day! If you’re here on an evening in Southampton (not Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday), come here! Worth the high price point and hype.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Sunday evening at 6 pm as soon as the pop up was announced. My husband and I are huge food network and therefore huge Rocco fans and couldn't miss the chance to try his food. We drove about an hour to go. We were seated right away inside, which I requested, not knowing what August Summer heat might be. Our server was so sweet, patient, made great recommendations, all of which did not disappoint. We shared the Italian BLT salad and the tomato on Toast to start. The tomato on toast when it came out was a little under whelming, but it was beyond amazing. The tomato's tasted like they had no acid, and were picked straight off the vine out back. I had the ribeye which was perfectly medium rare, so tender, flavorful and a really generous portion. The potatoes were pure velvet, the smoothest and most delicious potato I've ever had. My husband had the past with shrimp and I think lobster? He loved it, was licking the plate clean. They also sent us out a dish of linguini with clams and again, my husband was licking the plate. The pace of all the food coming out was perfect, our server checked on us and the best part of the entire evening, was seeing Rocco! He went around to all the tables, ran food, talked to everyone. I'm not sure that he knew every table in the restaurant personally, but the way he was so kind and nice to everyone, I could assume he did. He smiled and said hello to us every time he passed us, it really made our entire evening. He even took photos with the table next to us when they asked, he could not have been a classier act. We finished with the lemon and hazelnut desserts, both were excellent and I would eat 100 times over. Overall- nothing we ate wasn't 10/10, as was the service. I only wish we lived closer to come back!

Yelp
Great vibe, fabulous food! The halibut preparation is like nothing I've ever tasted, we keep coming back! It's addictive! The red shrimp paccheri is also other worldly! Don't miss the oysters, they don't get any better. Service was superb!

Yelp
Please make this a permanent restaurant in Southampton. We sat in the lovely patio area on a Wednesday night and it was picturesque and quiet enough that you could have a conversation without having to raise your voice. Our server Angeles was professional and very knowledgeable about recommendations which were all fantastic. Order the halibut and a pasta and save room for dessert. The food is really, really delicious and Rocco even came over to our table which made the night even more special. Beautiful restaurant with craft cocktails, wonderful service and food that is amazing

Yelp
Some of the best food we had in the Hamptons this summer. Delicious BLT Salad and Flatbread. The complimentary olive bread was amazing too. The main dishes spaghetti and pasta with pesto Rosso lobster was amazing and we rounded it off with the burnt cheesecake. The red wine was a heavy pour as well. All were delicious and would recommend highly. Also Rocco stopping by our table was a great addition to the evening.

Yelp
Rocco DiSpirito has done it again! Flawlessly executed dishes with a mix of local ingredients and imported ingredients (the famously amazing red shrimp) make this a can't miss spot in the Hamptons this season.
