Best Restaurant Dishes Eater NY Editors Ate This Week, September 2, 2025 | Eater NY

"On the massive veranda of Rocco DiSpirito’s seasonal pop-up, which runs through the end of September, crowds gather for rustic Italian fare built on local bounty, and the paccheri pesto rosso exemplifies why. The Gragnano pasta arrives perfectly firm and chewy, catching a sugo rich with local heirloom tomatoes, chunks of lobster, and wild Gulf shrimp; it’s fragrant with basil and crowned with Montauk’s sweet, wild royal red shrimp. At $38 for a generous portion, it felt like a relative bargain." - Nadia Chaudhury

12 Great Summer Dining Spots in the Hamptons

"Rocco DiSpirito is back, having joined forces with nightlife impresario Kyky Conille to take over Southampton’s former Blue Mar space in Southampton and to open a sister to the Little Italy’s flagship. Among standouts dishes are paccheri with pesto rosso, heirloom tomatoes and local royal red shrimp; Ora king salmon with cashew cream; and whole herb-roasted baby chicken. The back room lounge, Bijoux, revs up later in the evening." - Beth Landman

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ By Gaston 🐶 Every time I walk through the door, my tail can’t wag fast enough. Rocco always treats me like the little prince I am 👑. The food? Absolutely paw-licking amazing - perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and made with so much love I can taste it. The service? Let’s just say I get more head scratches and smiles here than anywhere else. If you’re looking for a place that makes both humans and pups feel special, this is it. Can’t wait to come back for my next feast!” 🐾🍝❤️

This is a beautiful spot right in town in Southampton. The restaurant offers spacious indoor and outdoor dining. I loved that the outdoor terrace was covered in beautiful hydrangeas. Service was excellent and the food was tasty! My friends and I ordered many of the dishes on the menu and were blown away by the flavors. Looking forward to going back for another visit to try the rest!

I went to pop up by Rocco with much anticipated excitement as I have been a huge fan of Rocco’s from Food Network for years and let me tell you his restaurant did not disappoint! First the staff was very friendly and thoughtful and did an exceptional job taking care of us. Next the food was beyond outstanding!! Using fresh local ingredients really makes the food shine. Rocco not only came to our table but took pictures with us and signed his cookbook for me (that’s the shortened version of the cookbook signing as Rocco went out of his way the next day to sign it) So personable and kind. I plan on going back one more time before it closes. Don’t hesitate to go as it’s a truly a memorable experience!!

So good! The Paccheri Pesto Rosso was one of the best I’ve ever had and the linguine was just as good! We had a salad and it was really nice. The olive bread was amazing! We also tried the lobster cocktail but we prefer it out of the shell. I enjoyed the wine selection as well!

Great venue, lively, pretty, just great. The food was really excellent. Every dish had a special take by the chef that made it outstanding. The care that was evident in every dish was wonderful. I loved it! Plus, Rocco visited our table and with great insight said I should run for NYC mayor. Thanks, but no thanks my friend. Just keep cooking and I'll keep eating.

My family and I were so excited to try this restaurant, however we were met with so much disappointment. The service here was beyond awful. When we first sat down, the bus boy brought us stale bread. We told him it was stale and he argued with me that it wasn’t. I pulled out another piece of bread to show him that I couldn’t even pull it apart it was so stale. He finally agreed that it was stale and said he would get us a different batch. Again it was stale. Our waiter took over 20 minutes to greet us and take our drink and appetizer orders. However, we waited patiently and the appetizer came out, but no drinks. The bottle of wine and sprite came out half way through eating our appetizer. The waiter never came back and we had to ask a bus boy to find him so we could put our dinner order in. We ordered our dinners and the waiter asked me if I wanted another sprite and I said I’d wait for my dinner. Once our dinner came out, we never saw our waiter throughout dinner, even after several requests to bus boys that we were looking for him because we wanted more drinks and another bottle of wine. We finally saw the waiter after our dinner plates and drink glasses were cleared. We ordered dessert and that was the last we saw of the waiter for the rest of the night. He didn’t even bring us our check or take it to run our credit cards. Someone else had to do it. Because of this horrible service, I will never come back here. This situation should be addressed. The food was fantastic and the decor was beautiful.

Tonight we were celebrating a birthday and without saying anything the staff made it soooo special with glasses of bubbly and a candled dessert. Besides the wonderful service, by Alex, the food was awesome!! Loved the tuna appetizer and pastas were excellent. I only wish the restaurant stays around for a long time! Thanks for a great dinner!

Google
a true masterclass in hospitality, as a food network fan I was so excited to go to Rocco DiSpirito's restaurant and he was beyond kind and attentive to our group, the wait staff was the same - it did not disappoint! Rocco personally checked in on us multiple times and the food was outstanding - truly highlighting the amazing local produce that the area has to offer. We went with what the chef recommended including the spaghetti pomodoro and the tuna crudo, both were simple but mind blowingly delicious. I can't rave enough about how great of an experience it was and surpassed my expectations. It is a must-visit this season in the Hamptons.

Yelp
Everything about our evening was outstanding. The food was creative, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive warm, professional, and perfectly paced. Zach Erdem, the owner of both 75 Main and Rocco's, is truly in a class of his own. He's mastered the art of hospitality, and it shows in every detail. From the menu to the atmosphere, you can feel his personal touch throughout the experience. It wasn't just dinner it was an experience. Classy, welcoming, and unforgettable. And it extended to 75 main after

Yelp
Made a reservation for Sunday evening at 6 pm as soon as the pop up was announced. My husband and I are huge food network and therefore huge Rocco fans and couldn't miss the chance to try his food. We drove about an hour to go. We were seated right away inside, which I requested, not knowing what August Summer heat might be. Our server was so sweet, patient, made great recommendations, all of which did not disappoint. We shared the Italian BLT salad and the tomato on Toast to start. The tomato on toast when it came out was a little under whelming, but it was beyond amazing. The tomato's tasted like they had no acid, and were picked straight off the vine out back. I had the ribeye which was perfectly medium rare, so tender, flavorful and a really generous portion. The potatoes were pure velvet, the smoothest and most delicious potato I've ever had. My husband had the past with shrimp and I think lobster? He loved it, was licking the plate clean. They also sent us out a dish of linguini with clams and again, my husband was licking the plate. The pace of all the food coming out was perfect, our server checked on us and the best part of the entire evening, was seeing Rocco! He went around to all the tables, ran food, talked to everyone. I'm not sure that he knew every table in the restaurant personally, but the way he was so kind and nice to everyone, I could assume he did. He smiled and said hello to us every time he passed us, it really made our entire evening. He even took photos with the table next to us when they asked, he could not have been a classier act. We finished with the lemon and hazelnut desserts, both were excellent and I would eat 100 times over. Overall- nothing we ate wasn't 10/10, as was the service. I only wish we lived closer to come back!

Yelp
This was the first time we had been to Rocco's and it didn't disappoint. Everything we ordered was amazing! Joseph was our server and he was busy but he was attentive and was able to get us whatever we needed. The dining experience feels like an intimate dinner party at someone's beautiful house. There is outdoor seating, but it had been raining all day so we sat inside by the fireplace. I would say anything you order will be amazing, try several apps and even if you hate Brussel sprouts try his. He converted my husband. Definitely take the time to eat here if you can, it's worth it, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great vibe, fabulous food! The halibut preparation is like nothing I've ever tasted, we keep coming back! It's addictive! The red shrimp paccheri is also other worldly! Don't miss the oysters, they don't get any better. Service was superb!

Yelp
Please make this a permanent restaurant in Southampton. We sat in the lovely patio area on a Wednesday night and it was picturesque and quiet enough that you could have a conversation without having to raise your voice. Our server Angeles was professional and very knowledgeable about recommendations which were all fantastic. Order the halibut and a pasta and save room for dessert. The food is really, really delicious and Rocco even came over to our table which made the night even more special. Beautiful restaurant with craft cocktails, wonderful service and food that is amazing

Yelp

Yelp
Went last night with a party of four. We started our night with some delicious house special cocktails. Next up was the appetizers. Our table shared five. The oysters, tuna and 1/2 lobster were our favorites! The Halibut main dish was not to be missed. Next up was the desserts. The cheesecake and the lemon dish were SO good. Overall, a 10 out of 10. This was our first time at the restaurant but it definitely won't be our last.

Yelp
Rocco DiSpirito has done it again! Flawlessly executed dishes with a mix of local ingredients and imported ingredients (the famously amazing red shrimp) make this a can't miss spot in the Hamptons this season.

Yelp
Some of the best food we had in the Hamptons this summer. Delicious BLT Salad and Flatbread. The complimentary olive bread was amazing too. The main dishes spaghetti and pasta with pesto Rosso lobster was amazing and we rounded it off with the burnt cheesecake. The red wine was a heavy pour as well. All were delicious and would recommend highly. Also Rocco stopping by our table was a great addition to the evening.
