Here thrives Itto’s Vino, a new bar and bottleshop that’s already gained a steady fanbase thanks to bold and bright wines that capture their home region. Carefully curated by sommelier Maxwell Mccaulou, the selection leans heavily on Spain and Portugal, with occasional additions from Morocco and other western Meditterranean countries. The small bites are meanwhile equally adventurous (try the lamb meshwi!) and carefully crafted around the rotating wine offerings. "West Seattle mainstay Itto’s Tapas has turned the space next door into an easygoing wine bar. There’s only a barn door separating this mint-walled area from the tapas restaurant, but it still feels like its own private nook where couples on early dates and friends sharing a bottle can feel comfortable. A short list of glass pours highlights wines from Spain and Portugal, including several refreshing natural options. They go down smoothly with the Basque cheese platter or a tomato and strawberry salad that looks pretty and tastes like the fruit was plucked off the vine that day.
