"We aren’t putting spots that strictly do tacos on this guide. And La Pasadita also has tostadas, chile relleno, quesadillas, chilaquiles, and more. But we also won’t lie: we come here for the best tacos in the county. The tripe is charred until crispy and crackly, but still juicy. Their tender lengua and al pastor tacos are great too. The handmade corn tortillas are fluffy, yet impressively sturdy given how much meat they hold. If you’re in the mood for a massive burrito, order the asada. They’ve got a drive-thru too." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer
"It’s not on the menu, but order the tripa tacos here, and when they ask if you want it grilled, nod your head like a garage band drummer. These tripe tacos are the best tacos we’ve had in the county. They’re charred until crispy and crackly, but still juicy. We could eat these all day, but then we’d miss out on the tender lengua or al pastor. The corn tortillas are made in-house too. They’re fluffy yet impressively sturdy given how much meat they hold. There’s also a little condiment bar, so you’re in control of the amount of onions, cilantro, and sauces. And if you’re in the mood for a massive burrito, order the asada. It all comes out so fast that you'll be out of the drive-thru too in a matter of one song." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer
"This small shack in Homestead packs a big flavor in its Mexican dishes. Though not an upscale establishment, La Pasadita’s unpretentious charm is part of the appeal and continues to attract a loyal clientele. The house favorites include burritos and tacos, generously filled with options such as carne asada, chicken, carnitas, al pastor, and tongue. The tacos can also be enjoyed with chorizo, chicharron, and barbacoa." - Stacy Moya
"Our favorite taco spot in the county also has excellent burritos. They’re incredibly heavy and packed with so much meat, you could use it to do bicep curls. Plus, you can choose from rare burrito options like lengua or tripe. We like the massive asada burrito that comes with melted cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and not too much rice. There’s so much steak in this that you could use all the meat that falls out to make yourself a smaller burrito. La Pasadita also has a drive-thru. But we do recommend pulling over—this burrito demands your full attention and two hands. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"La Pasadita has the best tacos in Miami-Dade County. Don’t expect cheffy tacos with pickled beets or balsamic drizzles. These are classic Mexican tacos like asada, al pastor, and some off-menu options like beef tongue and the crackliest, juiciest tripe tacos we’ve ever had. The corn tortillas are soft and fluffy, but strong enough to hold all the meat they pile into them. Plus, there's a little sauce bar where you can customize your toppings of cilantro, onions, sauces, and peppers. There’s also an asada burrito the size of a rolled-up sleeping bag. La Pasadita is tiny with just a few tables inside and four outside. But it has a drive-thru, in case you just waited three hours in line at Knaus Berry and refuse to get out of the car.
