Tiny spot with a menu of creative Pan-Asian dishes plus wine, sake & a selection of bubble teas.
"Kimchi and Korean fried chicken are cooked at the table in this minimalist space, which serves big helpings of thrilling pan-Asian food. The Korean-style short rib is marinated in garlic soy sauce and grilled, and the Korean tofu stew blends sausage and pork belly with a poached egg. Don’t miss the bubble tea — a mouth-cooling foil to spicy food." - Juliana Accioly
"We don’t encounter boba ventanitas very often. But this is Miami (actually Kendall). And Lan Pan-Asian’s boba tea window is the perfect pitstop for Metrorail commuters, but you can also go inside and have a full meal. Just make sure you order a red sea roll if you do. Remember this place the next time you’re rushing to Michaels to buy styrofoam balls for your kid’s solar system project that’s due tomorrow. Order a Thai milk tea with tapioca—it’ll give you the energy of a thousand suns. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"The moment you hop off the Metrorail, you’re in Kendall’s Dadeland Station—a convenient stop with a Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods in case you need new towels or a fishing rod for some reason. Also in Dadeland Station: Lan Pan-Asian Cafe, a small restaurant on the ground floor of the shopping center that’s been serving East Asian and Southeast Asian food since 1999. Pop in for lunch or dinner and order a delicious red sea roll with fried shrimp and spicy tuna, or order a bubble tea at their takeout window and cool down on a hot day." - Virginia Otazo, Ryan Pfeffer
"You can get everything you need at Dadeland Station: knitting yarn, bedsheets, kettlebells, and delicious sushi rolls. For the latter, go to Lan Pan-Asian, a small restaurant on the ground floor of the shopping center that’s been serving East Asian and Southeast Asian food since 1999. One of our favorite dishes here is the red sea roll—fried shrimp with cream cheese and asparagus that’s topped with spicy tuna and wonton crisps. It’s basically a cross between a dragon roll and spicy tuna roll that makes us want to switch Targets so we can eat it more often. Their sister restaurant is Su-Shin Izakaya in Coral Gables, so it’s no surprise the Japanese food here is good. But they also have tender Mongolian beef and slippery flat noodles on the menu. Plus, a little window where you can order bubble tea on the go." - Virginia Otazo
