It is, however, perfect for when you want to eat precise, luxurious French food under a chandelier in a chateau-like space in Soho. For your next milestone dinner, come with a date, and eat some tender chunks of lobster in a cognac cream and peppercorn sauce. The atmosphere is very upscale—tall candles, white tablecloths—but it’s not as buttoned-up as traditional fine dining, so you don’t have to get too dressed up.
