Best Filipino Restaurants in Austin | Eater Austin

"If anyone introduces you to Filipino cuisine, let it be Little Mama’s. This strip mall spot might be unassuming but it serves as a delicious introduction to the diversity of Filipino cuisine. The menu serves as a comprehensive guide through the archipelagic country, with diner’s choice of adobo braised chicken or pork simmered in soy sauce and vinegar, or with Little Mama’s house marinated milkfish, a popular Southeast Asian fish similar to halibut, served with a side of spicy vinegar sauce and atchara (crunchy papaya pickles). Halo Halo, an overstuffed, frosty dessert delight, offers a sugary bang of an ending to the meal. With hearty portions and comforting tastes, there’s no wrong dish to choose. Grab a seat inside the bright yellow space or take it to go." - Clara Wang

Little Mama’s - Review - Round Rock - Austin - The Infatuation

"When you walk into Little Mama’s—one of the few Filipino spots in the Austin area—many Filipino customers will tell you that the food is made exactly how their mom used to do it. Filipino food tends to value function over form. If you think stir-fried ham and shrimp, dark-sauced pork stews, and unusually colored jelly desserts don't look appetizing, know that appearances can be deceiving. Order your chicken adobo, oxtail kare-kare, or ube cheesecake to go for a feast at home, or dine in the brightly colored, homey restaurant. Depending on the time (keep an eye on the hours, which can be irregular), the owner’s family and their cute babies often hang out in the corner." - Clara Wang

Best Snow Cones and Shave Ices in Austin | Eater Austin

"Round Rock residents have been enjoying Filipino fare at this joint for a while. The special halo-halo is chock-full of freshly shaved ice, condensed milk, green pandan jellies, red mung beans, jackfruit, caramelized sweet potato, leche flan, as well as ube and vanilla ice creams. Takeout orders can be placed in person or over the phone; there are indoor dine-in areas." - Darcie Duttweiler

Came in to pick up my order but ended up deciding to dine in. The food did take a little while, but it was clearly made with love because everything I had was delicious. The lechon (crispy roasted pork) had the perfect crackly skin, and the pancit (stir fried noodles) was full of flavor. For dessert, I tried the ube cheesecake and the halo-halo. The ube cheesecake had great texture, though I wish the ube flavor had been a little stronger. The halo-halo (a shaved ice dessert) was the highlight for me. It reminded me a bit of Vietnamese chè ba màu (three-color dessert), especially with the sweet mix of textures and the scoop of ice cream on top. I loved the bits of jello too. It was my first time trying halo-halo and I'll definitely be back for it. The experience is more self-service than full dine-in, but I didn't mind that. You place your order at the counter and there's only a few small tables to sit at. There's a separate table with to-go boxes, napkins, and utensils so you can help yourself when needed. The staff was really nice and I liked that it was quiet and peaceful when we visited around 2 PM on a weekday. There's plenty of parking in the lot, which is always a bonus.

What an absolute feast of goodness! First time trying authentic Filipino food, and wow, that first bite bought me in. Everything was exceptional! The way they cook the pork is such a delicacy. The sisig and lechon kawali (crispy pork) are simply addictive. We also tried the beef calderata, an incredibly soothing beef stew. The wait is a bit long as there’s only one cook, so it can get as long as 45 minutes. You can call ahead but the wait is worth it! Super recommend! Hope they can expand their business, because they got all the potential to do so!

Google
Tried Little Mama’s for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived around 12:50pm and didn’t realize they closed at 1:00pm. The lady was nice and said the kitchen could accommodate a lumpia order so we ordered 6 lumpia and they were delicious! Hot, fresh, crispy and generous lot filled with pork and veggies. Sad we didn’t have a chance to try the larger menu but we will be back earlier in the day next time!

Google
This is the best Filipino food spot near Austin, in my opinion. Got here on Sunday around 11:15am. I ordered lumpia, pancit, and Filipino BBQ as well as the lechon. I had to look a little hard for this little gem of a hole in the wall. The service was amazing as I was greeted and told about the specials and the items on the menu. After ordering, it started getting busy, and more customers walked in, but the food was amazing! The lumpia was crispy and packed full of flavor, and they were stuffed. The pancit had a little vinegar after taste but seasoned well. Also, the BBQ had chicken and pork as it was tender and juicy with just the right amount of charcoal on it and that sauce. The lechon crispy and thick cuts as well the meat were tender and rich of flavors. Loved this place, and i am looking forward to exploring more of their menu next time.

Google
Taste and smells like home!! I cook Filipino food for my wife and kids but sometimes I want to take a break but I haven’t really found a spot that suffices in the Austin area…UNTIL NOW!! The Lechon Kawali, bangus and sisig were all on point. Little Mama’s has earned my business for life! Wife states my pancit and lumpia are better but we know there’s some bias there 😏 Maraming salamat sa staff, super welcoming and friendly!!

Google
Limited seats for dine in but the food is good especially fried pork and deep fried milk fish. Food are served in to-go boxes but they do use aluminium foil instead of placing the food directly inside the white-togo-box, good job!

Google
Best Lumpia and pancit in whole Teaxs, yes the whole state lol. Very welcoming staff and atmosphere as well. And I never have to wait too long for my food, which is always made FRESH. I recently moved and am still willing to travel over an hour away just for this amazing food.

Google
The most authentic Filipino food in the Austin area. I've had my order for take out only so I can't comment on the place. The ordering process was easy and staff on the phone was pleasant. The printed menu online has limited choices so make sure you check their Facebook page for the updated daily specials before you order. The food was flavourful and delicious- fatty, salty, rich, rustic like how Filipino food should be. Nothing fancy, just good humble cooking. My favorite was the dinuguan and grilled pork belly. A little pricier than usual but it's okay since I don't have to drive 2-4 hrs to satisfy my cravings. Servings were also generous. I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
You know you hit the best food when it is a hole in a wall cooked by mom. It seems like it's a mother and daughter team. So friendly. Joanna is the daughter and Nita is the mom. Comfort Filipino food. The sigsig is amazing! It is crispy pork belly, liver and fried egg. I love how they separate it from the rice. The pancit is delicious. The glass noodles are not clumped together which you know that's the best! We got the ube cheesecake as well and Halo Halo as desserts. Definitely coming back here.

Yelp
Great Lumpia! So glad this is here! The customer service was really excellent and we will come in earlier to get some noodles next time!

Yelp
Friday Lunch The restaurant can be hard to spot, just a tiny sign on the window in a strip mall. Food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait 25-45 minutes. Strongly recommend calling to order ahead for pickup. Inside dining has been reduced to 3 tables in a corner so it fills up quick, more of a takeout place now. Dessert case: Cheese Puto (savory muffin), $4.99 Ube Biko Dessert (purple yam+sweet sticky rice), $8ish Buko Pandan (jello salad), $5.99 Meals: 6 piece Lumpia, $8.79 Chicken Adobo, $12.69 Pinoy Chicken Curry, $10.99 Sisig (chopped crispy pork belly), $19.99 Mixed Pancit Noodles, $11.99 Garlic Rice x2 Steamed Rice x1 Total $95, enough to feed 6. BEST filipino food I've had in quite a while albeit heavy. CALL to order ahead!

Yelp
The sisig and pandan dessert were notably delicious. The fried rice got mixed reviews from my kids who eat a ton of fried rice. I was surprised that they couldn't make chicken fried rice, so I had to order chicken skewers with veggie fried rice. It's a small joint with a small staff so you will wait a while for your food, but I would definitely come back and try more things. The dessert case is loaded with goodies, so save room!

Yelp
3 years later and Little Mamas' still as good as when I first had it, maybe even more so... As usual, had to order all the classic Filipino hits (Chicken Adobo, Lumpia, Garlic Rice, Spam Fried Rice, Skewers) and some new ones (Kare kare). Everything was spectacular, and not a single thing I would have gotten rid of or change. I had meals for days and not a single regret. The food is SOOOOOO good!! I've had the "classic hits" I've listed before, but the Kare Kare was a first. I was skeptical to try, as Kare kare typically has lord knows what (pig leg, tripe, etc), but Little Mama's uses Oxtail. Verdict? The Oxtail was incredibly tender to the bone and the stew was incredibly rich in flavor. With the addition of the Bagoong (the pink paste aka fermented shrimp), it added an extra layer of depth and flavor. WARNING: USE ONLY IN MICROSCOPIC SERVINGS If you're reading this before you come, don't be intimated or judgmental of the location or the aesthetics of the restaurant. This is the bare bones and actually reminded me of the local restaurants in Hawaii. You'll find a makeshift cashier counter made of folding tables and an old fridge, prohibited access to restrooms, and two tables with foldable chairs.

Yelp
Okay Lil mama. You are doing the damn thang! My partner, baby, and I made a trek up to round rock for this. It was busyyyy, we had an hour wait time after ordering so we whipped over to ikea to keep the baby entertained. the wait was so worth it. We ordered lechon, chicken bbq skewers, and a ginataan bilo bilo for dessert. All the seats were taken inside this cute and humble store. We decided to have a picnic in our minivan anyway bc the baby finally feel asleep. What a nice little treat everything was. The pork belly used for lechon had the perfect meat to fat ratio, it was marinated well, and fried to the best crispness. Comes with two sauces, vinegar and lechon sauce. The bbq chicken was sweet, savory, and had just a hint of char from the grill. There are 4 very generous sticks of meat. Both entrees came with regular white rice that was a good wet/dry level, (IYKYK) Everything was still good as leftovers the next day! I'll come everyday from drippin springs for that ginataan. It's delicious. My 9 month old would also agree.

Yelp
Everything from start to finish was delicious, with the exception of the lumpia, which is why I takeoff one star. It was decent, but we felt it was a bit dry. Also I didn't like the odd smell of the moist towelettes at the front stand.
google avatar

Yelp
Great cooking and nice staff. Plenty of authentic dishes to choose and each comes out on point. I am particular to basics like caldereta or pork chops. I've tried just about most things and can bet you will enjoy the food. Unfortunately, the operations haven't expanded with the popularity. The seating area condensed even more than pre-CVid. The wait can be longer than 5 star locations and no reservations. First come, first serve which is fine concept. However, I've come twice and each had an hour wait. The wait is a testament to the popularity and deliciousness, but they leave money on the table.

Yelp
Be aware that the food is really salty! We had always been wanting to try Little Mama for a few times, but couldn't make it due to their early closing hours. We were so excited to try Little Mama today, but left super disappointed. All the dishes sounded delicious on paper, but we decided to try their classic ones - lumpia, chicken adobo, and pancit bihon. Lumpia: Regular egg rolls with ground pork and carrots inside, nothing is different than a Chinese or Vietnamese egg rolls. Vietnamese egg rolls are more flavorful. These lumpia's are much bigger than the ones our Filipino friend made. It was served with sweet chili sauce. Lumpia was decent, nothing was special about it. Pancit bihon: SUPER SALTY. It was wayyy too salty that we couldn't eat after the first bite. It was stir-fried clear noodles with a few small pieces of cabbage and carrots. There was only a handful of chicken pieces buried on the bottom of the box. This dish was so salty that it was mind blowing. We had to tell the staff and asked if they could remake it. She happily took it back and remade for us, but the second round was not too much less. It was still salty. We felt bad throwing it, so we packed it home hoping we could fix it (not sure how), so we'll see what we can do with it. Chicken adobo: Braised chicken with onion and a piece of pickled pepper. This dish was also salty! However, it was more tolerable compared to the pancit because we ate it with rice. The pickled pepper added more salt and tanginess to the dish. However, rice or no rice, it shouldn't be that salty to start with. Tap water: Tasted a bit funny. There was no ice. There were many colorful desserts made with ube that we were curious to try. However, after the bad experience about the salty pancit and adobo, I didn't want to try anything else. The 3 dishes that we ordered were their classic ones. If they couldn't make their classic ones right, what about others? There was no signage in the front except the small sticker on the door, so it was very easy to miss. It was a very small restaurant with 2 tables - 4 chairs at each table. They could pull out more tables if we need to, but we would take up all the space. This place is not really designed for dine-in, but for takeout. Even though we dined in, food was served in plastic containers. We set up our own table with paper plates, plastic silverware, and plastic cups.

Yelp
Sarap! That pretty much sums it up! So happy I found this place!! Moved here 8 months ago and finally got my Filipino food fix The food, everything, was just so flavorful! Not salty but flavorful. It reminded me of my dads home cooking. It's that legit! It's that good! Even the sisig and bisteak meats were tender. My kids even ate, and they're picky! They usually stick to the pancit lumpia and adobo but here they tried and loved everything. The service was good. They were punctual polite and efficient. The place may be tiny with minimal seating, but it's clean and organized. Everything was in stock except for the cassava cake and that's only because they sold out. Definitely will be coming here again and I encourage all to come check this place out. Definitely worth the trip

Yelp
While in Austin, we had to try them out due to good reviews. Located in a small strip mall, but hard to find because the only sign they have is on their door. Lots of parking. When you come in there are only 2 tables for two and one table for 4 but a few chairs on the side to sit. They prefer for you to pay cash but if paying with credit card there is i believe a 2% fee. Husband ordered Adobo and I ordered BBQ pork on a stick. Both was good but while eating my BBQ half of the stick was uncooked. Informed the cashier and they recooked it for me and gave me two pieces of lechon kawali. Filipinos should support this place and while in Little Rock or Austin, a must try! Great people!

Yelp
Their food is so comforting to me. My family loves Filipino food, and we would eat it all the time when living overseas. The Pancit is on point, and I could eat lumpia all day ! The Adobo was a little salty and not very much portion, the Cheesecake was good not to sweet though (like traditional cheesecake) if that is what you are looking for which is what I prefer. Overall, we do enjoy food from here!

Yelp
Ordered whole fried pompano (my favorite!!!) Guinataang kalabasa with shrimp and 2 chicken BBQ skewers. Everything was AMAZING!! I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a Filipino spot in Texas... but I was SO impressed by how tasty everything was. Tasted like home!! Give this place a try and lookout for their Facebook specials!
google avatar

Yelp
Hidden Gem! Everything about this place is excellent. The food is amazing, portions are very generous, service is great! Everything was fresh and hot and it tasted amazing.

Yelp
I ate at Little Mama's years ago when I lived in Austin and never used to leave reviews for restaurants at the time but now that I live in Vegas I am better about it. Till this day I think about the food I ate here! There is no Filipino restaurant in Vegas that could compare. I love a good home cooked meal and I almost forgot I wasn't at my parents table lol I would recommend snacking on their garlic lemon pepper wings while you wait for your food cause it was so delicious. As for the other dishes everything was spot on!

Yelp
Bomb! Loving my Filipino food! Got Lechon Kawali with Garlic rice which is hiding behind the foil. But it's was so goooood. I dip my Lechon with Mang Thomas or the vinegar. Just perfect! Also got Pampano fried fish. I like the achara but I love it more with the soy sauce dip. Sooooo good!!! This is what I call finger licking good ^_^!
google avatar

Terrance J.

Yelp
First time having Filipino food and was not disappointed! The lady behind the counter was nice, made two suggestions, I chose one of them the "Beef Mechado" and I upgraded to Garlic rice, worth it! I will be back to try other stuff for sure!!!
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
I came in today to get my fried fish fix! I have come into this location before so I knew what to expect. I came in and ordered the fried Tilapia that came with a side of rice. As this location is providing service using active COVID protocols, (consumers are required to wear a mask as well place orders over the phone or in person with a mask and after ordering wait outside), I placed the order for my food inside with a mask on and waited in my car for the order. When I received my fish, it was fried to perfection. #supportlocal

Yelp
Ma sarap! Good Filipino food is hard to find in Austin and I always leave places feeling like I spent too much for what I got or maybe got something too Americanized. However, Little Mama's broke that trend. Their two-person team is hospitable and takes time to make great and enjoyable food. Their menu is more broad then most Filipino restaurants I've been to in town. We got lumpia, kare kare (with oxtail!), pork rib sinigang, shrimp laing, tortang talong, and beef caldareta were all well made. My favorites were the sinigang (great level of tart) and shrimp laing. Although slightly different from my grandma's and dad's dishes (which tends to be the barometer for Pinoys), the food remained true to authentic Filipino taste. The halo halo was fragrant and hit the spot though I do prefer halo halo with more macupuno strings and coconut gel. Taking into account authenticity, taste, serving portions, and price, Little Mama's is the best Filipino food in the Austin area.
google avatar

Becky G.

Yelp
Oh my goodness this place was delicious and great service! Everyone that came in kept talking about the people who recommended them to go there! The lady who took my order was friendly and sharing all of her childhood favorites. The menu had lots of variety with lots of Filipino dishes I had never heard of. My family loved the lumpia I brought home! I'm not a huge cheesecake fan in general but this ube cheesecake was a solid winner! I loved seeing all the desserts displayed in the case and want to try them all!
google avatar

Yelp
While staying in Round Rock, I searched on Yelp for Filipino food. It was a little hard to find it because they only had a tiny sign outside the door. Anyway, the food was really good . We ordered half and half barbecue, pork adobo, grilled liempo and spicy pork Bicol express. We waited for 20-25 mins. It was worth the wait. Tasted like home cooked meals! We also ordered Sapin Sapin for dessert . So good!! Kids loved it too! Thank you Little Mama's for satisfying my cravings .
google avatar

Yelp
Their food is delicious!! This has become one of my favorite places to visit when I am craving Filipino food. It is definitely worth checking out. So many authentic options to choose from. Their Adobo & Pancit Bihon is exceptional. Definitely one of my favorites and a must-have. Many locals also recommend trying LM's signature lumpia and Sisig. Large portion sizes, with plenty of leftovers to spare. I'd also recommend trying their traditional deserts! Bibingka was great. Located across the street from Kerbey Cafe, in Sundial Plaza. Salamat! Magandang Gabi!
google avatar

Yelp
Masarap, nagimas, delicioso, and just really good Filipino food! I'm glad they're close by because when I'm not able to cook my own food, I'll order from them. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu or the desserts. Pro-tip is to call ahead and see what specials of the day they have. Great customer service and just a heads up it's mostly takeout. My go-to items are palabok, bicol express, and house marinated milkfish. If you want to stay in a comfort zone order the lumpia and Filipino bbq. If you want to live a little try something else you won't be disappointed. They do have veggie options which is great! Locating the entrance can be difficult for first timers as there is no obvious sign outside. Overall masarap and I will be back!

Yelp
I have gone here enough times to say this: their food is extremely SALTY. Their selections are classic Filipino food but who ever is in that kitchen, has a heavy hand when pouring salt. ALL food in the menu are EXTREMELY salty. It is all up to you to try it, and the saltiness might just be right for you, but from my experience, it's hard to eat even with a load of rice. I am aware that there are very few selection of restaurants in the area for Filipino cuisine, but this place is not worth an order (with the exception of the Ube cheesecake, it has no salt). The inside is a true definition of a hole in the wall moms and pops store. I have no problem with that. Been going here for a year when I need that Filipino fix, and I can tell you they make no effort to make improvements in the looks of the inside. What makes you think they will make improvements of the food. It will still be SALTY. Oh yes, false info as well. It says on Yelp that masks are required and workers wear masks. That's not true. Need to change that info and be truthful (though I could care less about the mask mandates you just have to be current and truthful with the information given to the public).

Yelp
Went here yesterday with my friend. Amazing Chicken Barbecue! Smokey and tender with fresh steamed rice. My friend got mild curry and really enjoyed it. The lumpia was larger than I expected but they were crunchy and delicious. The server was very friendly and attentive to our needs while eating indoors. Glad to have randomly found this place on Yelp while around town.

Yelp
Really good authentic food! For full transparency, on my first visit and first time ever trying Filipino food, I did find a beautiful long hair in my food when I got home and was a few bites in. (Gross, but I've worked in restaurants so I understand. Things happen.) I immediately called and let them know my situation and they offered to remake it for me. I went back the next day and my dish was even better than the first! Great customer service. I had the Panchit, lumpia, and bbq chicken skewers. So for the skewers... AMAZING. So delicious, juicy, and flavorful. I loveee the charred bits. And they fill the entire skewer. Panchit was pretty good. I did find myself wanting for a sauce. So I would suggest serving/eating it with lime**, sriracha, and a fried egg. it enhances the flavors for sure. I wish I was more impressed with the lumpia as it is the main reason I found the restaurant in the first place. I think the wrapping was too thick as the very inner layer was not fried. It also was not as crispy as it could have been. No crunch when I bit in. Maybe it just wasn't a good day. I'd be willing to try it again. Last note: there isn't really a sign out front and the only reason I was able to find it was because some people were eating out front as they are not doing dine-in. So hopefully they get some signage soon.

Yelp
Love doesn't have to be only in your dreams. Filipino food makes it happen easily. How? Like any true to the heart chef does it. It's made like at home fulfilling, wholeheartedly satisfying with an "mmmmm", and flavorful. We love the noodles used in their palabok. They're chunky thick and perfectly sauced. The daily specials make us want 'em all! It's a process tryna decide. As soon as they open, you gotta order for pick up righta way or your fave might be gone. They're a shining star. The only Filipino restaurant worth a drive. Super happy they're around! "Hoy, kain na kayo!"

Yelp
Closed for maintenance Sunday, December 3rd. Due to reopen on Monday, December 4th. I'm looking forward to it!

Yelp
First time trying, After craving lumpia and searching "best lumpia" I came across this place as the second listed and nearest to my home. I ordered over the Phone so I wouldn't have to wait upon arrival. The staff is so polite and helpful. I ordered only lumpia and chili sauce and I was pretty disappointed. I did not like the filling at all, the meat has an off taste and is not seasoned well, there are few if any vegetables a few carrots from what I could see. I also expected the sauce to be Mae ploy like and it's much different. Overall I didn't enjoy this and spent over 20$. I would not recommend the lumpia.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Most authentic tasting lumpia and sauce I've had since living in the Bay Area. An additional positive note - they're about double the size of traditional lumpia. The pork skewers and lechon are amazing as well. Everything is fresh to order. I only recommend this place for takeout as there is no seating inside. There are two tables outside, but you and I both know how hot it is here. I love that I can order any amount of lumpia I want. So if I want a quick snack, I can just order one and be on my way.

Nisha A.

Yelp
The hours posted says it closes at 5:30. When I arrived at 5:15 no one was available and I had to call them while waiting at the registered. When they came out the only items offered were white rice and lumpia. Very frustrating after sitting 5 pm traffic to get there. Not good customer service. So bummed
google avatar

Kaitlyn R.

Yelp
It's been hard finding a good Filipino spot! At this one we enjoyed the Pork Kawali and Lumpia to take home which came with a side of rice. Ordered on Sunday, and they were very busy so order ahead. Plus, their hours are limited (11-1:30p). Overall not too bad, and would come back to try more items on the menu. (Especially the Halo-Halo)

Aggie P.

Yelp
They used too much salt....even though you tell them to use small amounts ,the food still salty.
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
I really enjoy this place. I loved running in before covid. Everyone was super friendly and the food was really good. But now they only allow seating for 2/3 ppl or take out service. The food is still delicious but it can be difficult to get a hold of them on the phone to pre-order. I often come here when they have Kare Kare on the menu as it is my favorite Filipino dish and they do it well! Can't go wrong with their pancit, lumpia, or bbq either. If you're interested in dessert, obviously Halo Halo is great but sapin sapin is also a must try.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Everyone knows (maybe) chicken adobo and traditional pancit. If not, that's for another day, but Palabok is a noodle dish with shrimp sauce topped with pork, crushed chicharon, tinapa flakes, scallions, and fried garlic. I wanted something that I thought his momma would make him and I think I found it. At Little Mama's, they make it with pollee noodles which are the size and slippery texture of udon with a bite. The chicharron was my favorite thing. It added a crunch on top of the savory gravy sauce. Because the pollee noodles were thick but cut short, it grasp the sauce in every bite⁣ Little Mama's herself is an establishment I enjoy going to because the definition of family run business. Like literally, the family's children are there and the family friend is running the front. Daughter and chef takes your order. Something about the chef making your recommendations and cooking it up AND bringing it out makes you feel like a sister or brother. Admittedly, one day I want to have a group to try that Halo Halo.

Yelp
Food was really gross. It tasted really bad the staff was very unprofessional. Do not waste your money!

Growing up eating Filipino food has really spoiled me, so finding a good Filipino restaurant in central Texas was going to be a challenge when I moved here. Let me just say, Little Mamas does not disappoint. Their lumpia is on point and their pancit is amazing. Reminds me of my childhood. I also love their spam fried rice. The rice is cooked perfectly and isn't any of that Instant rice junk that other restaurants serve. The food is so good that my parents will drive an hour and a half just to go eat here, and then come visit me. The added bonus is the staff is super nice, and even when they are overwhelmed with orders, they still save some energy for a smile and a thank you. This place may be small in the inside, but they are big on taste. Try this place, and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is definitely unassuming. There is a sign in the parking lot, but it's not easy to see the actual restaurant. Inside there are 3 tables and a bench for seating. The food is fresh and has great flavor! Our meal was prepared quickly during lunch hours. I like the variety of desserts.

Yelp
Super nice people and great tasty Filipino food. Palabok is my fav dish and glad they had it. The flavor was on point and delicious. The lechon was also great and filling as it was a big portion.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch, it's been awhile since I've had the Filipino food here. This time we opted to try the lechon with white rice and the fried fish with garlic rice. We also ordered a six piece lumpia appetizer. The fried fish was cooked well, the garlic rice was disappointing. The garlic in the rice was burnt so u got a little bitter taste because of it. The lechon was very delicious, dipped in the garlic vinegar sauce. I really loved how crunchy the skin was. The lumpia was on the salty side, but the dipping sauce it came with definitely helped with that. The food here is made to order, so service is a little slow but the food was fresh. Luckily, we were not in a rush.

Yelp
Overall, I definitely have some favorites that you need to try. First the lumpia, so crisp and delicious!! Perfect appetizer to share. Next the bbq pork skewers were perfectly cooked, I loved the sauce and the pork was super tender and juicy. Finally the halo halo was such a delicious dessert with the egg custard, sweet potato and ube ice cream. I would highly recommend you try these three. There were also some entrees that were just alright. The lechon kawali was just a bit too oily and fatty for my taste, and the skin was a bit too crunchy. After two pieces I felt pretty heavy. The palabok was an interesting noodle dish, the lemon citrus taste threw me off at first but I enjoyed it the more I ate it. Finally the tortang talong was just a bit too charred on the outside. I had to take off the eggplant skin because it was too black but the rest was very good! I wonder if it is normally like this or if we just got it too late at night. They were just about to close so maybe it wasn't the best batch. I definitely recommend some dishes and some others I would pass on. I still really enjoyed the food overall, and would love to try more dishes next time.

Yelp
I love little places like this!! I love hole in the wall mom n pop places this is a cute little gem you need to keep your eyes open for The sign can get lost on the building if u don't stop and look Food is excellent,.. there is a bit of a wait , they cook what you order when you order it so very FRESH Prices are reasonable; wish lumpia was a bit cheaper but I will live seating area is small: 8 ppl at max at a table They have some booths They have a specials board Customer service: wasn't fantastic, it was my first time so I kind of was expecting a bit more of guidance , I felt kind of rushed, wasn't welcomed, or shown specials (they weren't that busy but I'm assuming they were helping in the back?) But will be back food was really tasty -Lumpia: please get you won't retreat -Chicken adobo; fresh and full of flavor -Garlic rice; really good a bit salty but paired well with bbq Chicken

Yelp
To go only right now. Their halo halo is fantastic. Best in Austin. Their dessert is definitely worth going for. Not cheap, but nothing is in Austin these days

Yelp
The food is good but they dont allow customers to use the bathrooms. They saying that the bathrooms are only for the employees. I've never heard of this! Will report this to the proper agency.

Yelp
There's a saying in the Filipino community - if you want great Filipino food, you eat in a Filipino home or you have a Filipino bring you the food. I grew up in the Philippines and have found this to be true for the most part, with the exemption of a handful of Filipino restaurants. Unfortunately, that adage has never been more true than at Little Mama's. The food was just so...subpar. Other than the fried fish (come on, no one can possibly go wrong with fried fish - you're literally just frying it) and the desserts, everything tasted so off. The pancit was too oily and salty. Pinakbet had little to no flavor (How? I see the bagoong but don't taste the bagoong). The coconut milk vegetable stew was okay. The ube cheesecake was more like ube slime with graham crust. The service was okay, which explains the 2 stars, but this was an utterly disappointing meal.

Yelp
Food was really good. Second best in the area I hae found, but it is on the pricier side.

Yelp
I couldn't believe there is a Filipino Restaurant in Round Rock! Of course we had to try it! They close at 5:30 pm (which is a bit odd), so make sure you make your order ahead of time and be there before they close! We ordered fried milk fish, bbq pork skewers and pancit bihon. I thought the pancit bihon is a bit too vinegary, but everything else came out great! The papaya salad that came with the fish order was delicious too!

Yelp
Ive lived near this restaurant for years and didn't know it was here - Impossible to see from the street. SO GLAD a friend was visiting and found them online. Went twice in one week after that! Delicious food and desserts. Service is friendly and I can tell they work really hard to serve this community. Such a gem for Round Rock.

Yelp
This LIttle Mama's place was unknown to me until today, 2018. It's a hidden little Filipino joint in an obscure little strip mall in little ole Round Rock, TX. Okay, no more using "little". It's on North Mays Street just across from Kerby Lane Cafe. Good place. My friend took us here after mentioning he's never had a bad experience. He's only been twice, but still a good sign. We ordered Pancit Canton, Beef Steak, and Sizzling Sisig. Not bad, I must say. The Sisig had liver, which I wasn't accustomed to so that wasn't my favorite. Hmmm, I wonder if they can make this without the liver. Anyway, it came out on a sizzling platter. I really liked their Beef Steak. Their Pancit (Filipino Chow Mein) was decent, but it was a bit watery. Not bad though. I'll be sure to return and try out their other dishes the next time I'm in the neighborhood. As far as ambiance, it's a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy. They have just a small dining area no bigger than an average home living room. Hardly anything for decor, but that's not why you come here to eat. You come for the food. Give em a try!

Yelp
Everything was super yummy and the owner was welcoming and made our first visit definitely not our last. The lumpia was so hot and crispy and we didn't care that we were burning our mouths to shove in that yummy goodness. All of the entrees were perfect, can't wait for my next visit.
