Los Tres Gallos

"This popular operation commands a corner of downtown Cabo San Lucas. The sprawling space is centered around a grand courtyard, and the setting, with its brick structure, paver stone patio, and wood furnishings, is brightened by pink and red painted stucco. A roof terrace is open during the evening.Los Tres Gallos serves a crowd-pleasing menu of generously portioned traditional Mexican cuisine like chile rellenos, enchiladas, and mole con pollo. The pozole is a vivid broth enriched with roasted chiles and tomatoes. Stocked with plump kernels of toothsome hominy alongside chunks of braised pork, it is served with a host of embellishments. The flan de casa is as big as a house, so plan on sharing dessert." - Michelin Inspector

Incredible dining experience! Our servers, Alan and José, provided top tier service including perfect food and tequila recommendations. The mole sauce was rich and complex (perfect on the enchiladas), the Carnitas had the right balance of tender and slightly crunchy, they make the Cesar Salad dressing FRESH AT YOUR TABLE, and the tequila selection was so good you'll wish you could stay and drink through all of it. Our table had the chocolate cake, flan, and churros for dessert and you won't go wrong with any of them (but the flan was my favourite!). There was live music, a guitar trio (well one was an upright bass), who played from table to table, taking requests. The music was fantastic and the whole atmosphere was cozy and fun. We HIGHLY recommend this experience. It may be the highlight of your trip, it certainly was for us!

Ate here while on vacation and it was great all around. The restaurant itself is decorated really unique and inviting. The staff were extremely nice and fast. The food came out extremely quick as well. We ordered a couple of appetizers and a main and shared. All the food was great and tasty. The tres leches cake and flan were also really really good. Alan and Victor were both great. Only thing, be prepared to have some sort of tip money available for the band that walks around and plays songs next to your table. They started playing a song for us while we were eating and then stood there for a tip. It was nice music, but we didn’t ask for it and we were eating.

Been going to this place for many years, during which time it has grown and expanded many times. The service is above and beyond, exceptional. The food is still good, but the prices have risen so much and the quality has dropped a little, so that the value for the $$$$ isn’t really there any more. Just not quite as good as it used to be and a little less attention to detail. Still worth a visit, though. We had the mixiote (good, but not what it used to be, both in flavor and presentation), carnitas (great flavor but overcooked and dry) and cochinita pibil (solid). For desert, you, definitely have to get the Pan de Elote, amazing!

It starts with the company you’re with, which was fantastic. The atmosphere here is fun and vibrantly colored. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The queso was particularly delicious. The salsas were fresh and intriguing. My enchiladas verdes were good and I heard no complaints from my friends who ordered the flank steak and the carnitas. Overall, it was a fun night.

Google
Fantastic experience. Food was lovely, great service from all the staff, highly recommended ! We came straight from the Cruise port, uber makes it easy to get here and it’s away from all the mayhem at the waterfront

I was in Cabo for a short holiday with guests. We decided to try a restaurant that I had not been to before, Los Tres Gallos. The first thing upon entry that I noticed was a wall portraying the pictures of the three Gallos (or roosters). The next thing was that the restaurant received a Michelin acknowledgement in 2024. This designation means something, aside from the food prices being a tad more expensive, it says they were recognized for food, service, etc. So, plan accordingly, you will spend ($$$) a little more per person, but the experience may be worth it and enjoy the moment. We arrived on Tuesday, Feb (24th), without reservations for our party of 7 people and were fortunate that we did not have to wait too long for a table. Our server, Jonathan, treated us really well. We ordered alcoholic drinks and water. One note here, instead of getting the bottled water for a price, just ask for the restaurant water. It is in an ice cold pitcher and is safe to drink. We listen to Jonathan tell us about the specials and ordered some appetizers, chips and salsa. Note, the salsas are not that hot, and you may need to ask for the habanero salsa (it is really spicy so be careful with how much you use). Our food arrived and it was all very good. Note, if you want borracho beans instead of refried beans, ask and do this at the time of your order. We finished with a few desserts, one of which was he bananas flambeau. They do take cash or credit card, and as I noted below, parking can be difficult to find. I hope it you decide to visit that your experience is as good as mine.

Wonderful meal in a festive relaxed setting. Better value than our old standbys by the beach. Local cuisine authentically prepared.

Google
Great Mexican food, service provided was very attentive, the atmosphere is warm and colorful. We tried multiple dishes and basically shared them all. Without exception, they were all flavorful and very well prepared. The drinks were inspired and balanced between good flavors and alcohol content. As it was the day of The Thrre Kings, the restaurant shared a tradition with its guests as part of dessert: kings' cake and Cafe de la Olla or hot chocolate. Definitely has become a new " cannot miss it" spot for us in Cabo.

Yelp
Came to this spot after so many recommendations online. Located a bit from the cruise terminal, but easily accessible through an uber. The inside was decorated so beautifully. It was a very clean restaurant. The service was top notch, and the food portions were absolutely huge. Definitely recommend this spot.

Yelp
The food was delicious and flavorful. I enjoyed the quesadillas, micheladas, and fajitas most. The restaurant is in an open air courtyard but you don't realize it at first because of the overhead decorations. The service could be a little better. I had to ask for a few things several times like extra limes several times. Overall, this place was worth the visit and I recommend it.

Yelp
According to my friend that made us a reservation here, This is a restaurant on the Michelin guide! The portion sizes are Huge here, definitely know what you can finish because most likely you're stopping by and unable to take leftovers. You may even be best to get several appetizers to try a little of everything if you are in a small group. If you are in a larger group you may want to consider sharing an entree with several appetizers. My husband and I split the mole enchiladas, and we were chips and salsa to even out as we weren't super hungry. Recommended to come here when the sun has set, as the restaurant is outdoors ambiance. However it was within reason that we ate here for early lunch in the winter. If you're coming from a cruise ship like we were, it was a decent walk and I wouldn't recommend walking to here in the summer from the marina. Pro tip: if you are an American and are paying with a credit card that has no foreign transaction fees, be sure to make sure they charge you in pesos rather than USD. You'll thank me later

Yelp
What wonderful place, people, location, and experience. This place was recommended to me by a friend, so we made reservations. Plus, it was a short walk from our hotel. The inside is beautifully decorated with all the bright colors you would expect in Mexico. I can't remember our servers name, but he was fast and funny. I suggest getting the spicy margarita with a dash of habanero. Yum! I ordered the chicken fajitas. Delicious. Everyone was very happy with their meals. We ended the night with their version of bananas foster. What a great show. Too good I forgot to video it. Next time. We were a party of 4 and we all enjoyed our meals and left happy and full.

Yelp
We came here because it was on the Michelin star guide but I'll be honest, it's a super over priced restaurant for mid food. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cute and the staff are super friendly. They offer bilingual menus so you don't have trouble ordering. But for the quality of the food, we spent 130 USD for food that should cost half of what it is if you eat elsewhere. The food was great but it didn't blow me away as expected if a Michelin guide.

Yelp
If you're seeking authentic Mexican food, this is not the place for you. It's clearly tailored to the taste buds of non-Hispanic diners. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, and they were incredibly disappointing--completely lacking in flavor and spice. The only reason why I give this place two stars is because the severs were very kind & helpful in every way.

Avina P.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Good food, good drinks and excellent service. I had the enchiladas de mole and it did not disappoint. The flavors and the taste were spot on. The flan is a must eat there but the portion is large so definitely shareable after a sumptuous meal. Our server Alan made some great recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Late night at Cabo and starving Found this place...nice open area concept, beautiful decorated. Great menu choices and drinks as well. I'm a fan of Cochita Pibil a dish from Yucatán. So I order that... I was disappointed when I got my plate because, it just didn't look like it supposed to nor tasted like it. After I guess not really eating it our waiter "Lara" super nice and professional, asked me if anything was wrong I honestly said it did not taste like it supposed to and that I thought the meat was not all pork, he insisted on changing my meal for whatever else, so i ordered the Mole chicken enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious He proceeded to send a dessert that was just amazing and the Chef ‍ Gaby came out to our table and was just lovely Guys go try this place !!!

Yelp
LTG is our must-stop location every time we go to Cabo! It has an incredible atmosphere, attentive staff, and great food and drinks. It is the perfect dinner to kick off any trip to Mexico. The portions are very generous and I recommend the ceviche and mole dishes especially. The table side ceasar salad is delicious and also a fun, interactive experience. Be sure to save room for some of their desserts! At dinner there is often a mariachi band playing table to table that will take your requests. They have a good wine list but their margaritas are delicious as well. The space feels like you are inside a courtyard with festive decorations and a lively environment. You often have between 2-3 staff members assisting at your table so you never have to wait long for anything. The price is very reasonable and it is a bit like dinner and a show. Make reservations in advance.

Yelp
Awesome outdoor dining. We loved the decor and the food was even better. Appetizers were very unique and very tasty. Even the chips and salsas were good! Main courses were all excellent, especially the Molcajete and the Totoaba which also had great presentation. Dessert complimented a fine meal and the service was attentive and great recommendations. Even the 3 piece band that moved to each table was a pleasant surprise and made the evening perfect.

Yelp
Ask for Edgar to be your server. Incredible service without being on top of you. The food is some of the best true Mexican food you will find in Cabo San Lucas! The carnitas is wonderful but bring your appetite! On another evening went with the enchiladas verdes. Also excellent. Gracias Edgar and tres Gallos! I will return on my next trip to Cabo.

Yelp
Amazing! Atmosphere was incredible! Just an all around great experience! Highly recommend for a nice date night!

Yelp
I want to go back!! Love, love this place. Their margaritas (especially the tamarind one-and I don't even like margaritas) were so delicious. We started with table side Caesar salad, queso flameado with chorizo and gorditas. Entrees were carnitas, cochinitas pibil and the molcajete. So much food!!! All four of us shared and the food was flavorful and service amazing. Loved the musicians that sang at tables too. Mostly outdoor setting but gorgeous in the evening. We were unable to get dessert. We will be back.

Yelp
Excellent lunch today! The food and service was great. We started with some appetizers and drinks then shared some entrees. I highly recommend the mole enchiladas. The queso with sausage was excellent. The pork shank was superb. Great stop! I'll be back! Your service personnel was so nice and attentive. I loved the friendly atmosphere, the great recommendations and attentiveness. They cleared the plates between apps and entrees and took pride to keep the table tidy and clean. Made us feel as though we were visiting a family.

Yelp
I came here based on eater.com and reviews on Yelp. I didn't do all-inclusive at the resort so that it'll give me an excuse to try different restaurants in town. I'm glad that i was able to dine here because the moment you stepped inside to the last second that you leave even after the check was paid... the service was incredible. Your water was always filled up, and if you have a droplet of water on the table that is wiped up. It was incredible. The food was great, too. For appetizers, the Ensaladas Cesars was prepared at the table. I had no idea that it was created in Mexico by a dude named Cesar. I was impressed by how it was prepared and took a video of it. From the wine list, I got a Mexican wine, which was recommended by the waiter. That was good as it wasn't dry but more on the sweeter side. They give you complimentary chips and salsa to start off with, and the salsa was delicious. For my main entree, I ordered the pescado and couldn't decide between the two dishes as it sounded so similar. So, they bring me what makes it so different, which was the sauce. I was so happy that I got to try the two different versions. Last but not least, the churros couldn't be missed. I say to everyone, give this restaurant a chance. The vibes are everything here.
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
Wasn't the cheapest option for good food, but I had the molcajete and it was awesome. The family had the chicken fajitas, also delicious. Great service and very friendly staff. Would definitely make this a must visit spot while in Cabo.

Yelp
Nice ambiance in an open courtyard decorated with festive flags. Service was courteous and attentive. House margarita is solid. Chips and salsa are comped. We got the table side caesar salad preparation which was a welcome change from the usual guacamole preparation often offered. I got the tacos del mar which was prepared well but no frills. My husband got the tampiquna (grilled beef) which was more substantial and came on a nicely presented platter. Churros were good but needed to come with more ice cream to make it a not-to-be missed dessert. We came for a special occasion, celebrating a birthday. The talented band came around to sing happy birthday which was a nice touch. Be sure to have cash on hand to tip the band. Price point is a bit high if you're just coming for a meal but I think it's worthwhile if it's a special occasion and there seemed to be quite a few tables celebrating something or another.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Great food! And even better drinks! Christopher and Hector gave us impeccable service from start to finish!
google avatar

Saahil V.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. The service was phenomenal. We also got a couple musicians play live music for my wife and I. We ordered guacamole for the table, mezcals and a couple entrees. For anyone coming to the Los Cabo's area, this place should be a high priority. Perfect date night spot or special event dine in experience.

Yelp
Ate here for our first night of our honeymoon! What a great start! We came around sunset on a Monday and there were a few tables taken but plenty of room for walk-ins. The margaritas were my favorite of our trip and the food was outstanding! There was a strings band that came and sang and took request, for a tip of course, but they were wonderful! The only reason I give the atmosphere 4 stars is because of the flys everywhere but the employees try and counter that by burning sage and rosemary through the restaurant and at your table. I don't mind the smell so I still loveeeeeed my time there. We finished with their coffee with is just fantastic and paired it with the trace Leche. Amazing start and end to the first night of our honeymoon

Martin V.

Yelp
The best Mexican food in Cabo San Lucas. We had the Molcajete which comes with shrimp, steak, sausage, nopales, panela cheese and black beans. With home made tortillas. When we checked in the hostess asked if we were celebrating any special occasion so we told her yes. Our love of 38 years. So they brought us dessert with "felicidades" written with chocolate on the plate. Jonathan and Miguel Angel were absolutely attentive and courteous. I highly recommend it for the high quality food, excellent service and a nice ambiance.
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Ok. Walked in and noticed everyone was a tourist. Not a great early sign for a restaurant back off the main street. The service was attentive but they upsell you literally at every step. We didn't confirm the price of a "sampler" appetizer plate which in actuality meant buying every appetizer I believe in the menu or close to it. Salsa was good and spicy, shrimp dishes were good but not great. Avoid steak at all cost, it's literally rubber and both are boys may have TMJ. 4 stars for fun atmosphere (great musicians) and beverages (though not strong). 1 star for value, it was unbelievably expensive for the quality. I would not return.
google avatar

Dang L.

Yelp
Overall it was a great experience. People are welcoming. Service was a little on the slow side but they were very busy. There was live music. A trio of gentlemen playing string instruments and quite well. They stop at each table to sing. First song for tips, second song for cash $12USD. Did an awesome Hotel California. They have complimentary chips and salsa. Molcajete: 4 stars. Plenty of seafood, chorizo, steak. Wish they had more cactus slices. The cheese was pretty good in a bean sauce. Tacos Del Mar:4 stars. 3 tacos of fish, lobster, and shrimp. Seafood was good but I keep feeling it was missing some flavors. Only came with 3 tortillas but you have to save the waiter down to ask for more. Got talked into the caramel flan:4.5 stars. Texture is interesting because it was not smooth but it was great cuz it wasn't too sweet. It's huge. So literally could probably be eaten/share between 4-5 people.

Yelp
**Vegetarian Friendly** Contemplating coming into the city? This place is absolutely worth stepping out of your resort for. We loved that majority of the menu has a vegetarian alternative. Appetizers (1) Gorditas - definitely not like the gorditas you get at taco bell, but well worth it! (2) Tostaditas de la plaza - similar filling to the gorditas, so I recommend one or the other Entree: (1) Enchiladas de Mole - you can taste the authentic mole sauce, if you're like me and don't like a red sauce, I still recommend tasting it! Dessert: (1) Churros - don't skip on these! Perfectly crisp, doughy, and the best way to finish your meal PS: Make a reservation, it gets packed!

Yelp
Had a lovely time here. The food was great. The mariachis were a very welcomed touch. I would come back again!
google avatar

Beth S.

Yelp
This restaurant was a delight. Our server was attentive and professional. We had a jalapeno margarita, some wine, a most scrumptious pozole soup, lamb shank and a pork shank. The two salsas that were served with chips were simply perfect. My very favorite part had to be the pozole. Had I known how delicious it was going to be, I would have just ordered a large one for my entree. It was perfection! The open air courtyard where we ate was most beautiful and colorful. Our waiter brought a dish with dried rosemary to burn in order to fend off the bugs. It sure did work!

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. So glad we made reservations as we had read about it prior to dinner. This is a very short walk from the marina and is located in the heart of Cabo. The ambience is absolutely spectacular from the decor to the bricks to the furniture as well as the layout of the entire place. I did not take pictures of the restroom. However, the restroom are also super clean and modern The food was absolutely impeccable and amazing. Prices are fair, considering that this is a very nice restaurant. Obviously lots of tourists here and most seemed to be on very good behavior. Every night they do have live music from her own mariachi band who will come around to your table asking if you wanna song and obviously, if you do say yes, be ready to tip them. But they are very talented. The menu choices are quite expensive and represent local authentic Mexican cuisine. Nothing disappointed. Note that the kitchen is semi open and you can even View and depending where you're seated in the restaurant. It's a details about this place that really get to me. The service was absolutely on point and super attentive. In fact, we had two people specifically waiting on our table. Further, because there are a lot of flies, they actually have their own concoction of rosemary and some other branches, plus some oil that they put at your table to ward away the flies. Further, they even have a purse holder, which is fantastic especially if there are no extra seats available. They also use eco-friendly packages for packing extra food to go, which is really unique to see in Cabo I would definitely have to come back here again as this place is impressive very tasty, authentic and worth every peso!!

Yelp
Overall: 3.5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Food: 3/5 Dessert: 2/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 There are many things about this place that I loved including the service, vibe and ambiance, drinks and part of the food we tried. I was really looking forward to trying a more traditional restaurant in Cabo and this places delivered. The drinks and margarita choices they have is great. The bone marrow on the main menu is great. I tried some of the sea food options too, like the tostadas but it was too fishy and kinda smelly which I didn't like. The only very disappointing part was the dessert. The churros were very soft and not fresh. Probably the worst I had on this trip: tres leches was good and the chocolate taco was meh: the pistachio ice cream had a fake pistachio flavoring to it. Overall I think 3.5 is a fair rating for this place. I will go back for the food, drinks and the ambiance for sure and I recommend you give it a try as well.

Yelp
If I could leave a Zero star - I would. My boyfriend and I came here on October 6th, 2023 during our trip to Cabo with our friends at 8:45pm as our reservation was at 9PM. When we arrived to the restaurant - we were greeted by a host. I noticed behind the host that the currency exchange rate is $16.00. We got seated right in front of the outdoor kitchen where we see the cooks cooking everyone's food. Our waiter was super nice and spoke English. Two of our friends are Mexican whereas myself, my boyfriend, and 1 of our friend are Asian. Our waiter provided us an English Menu which was super nice. We're all enjoying ourselves - listening to some live music while looking over the menu. We were liking the vibe here. When our waiter came back to see if we're ready to order - my boyfriend had asked him if they had a steak and lobster combo since we did not see it in the menu BUT in the google review shows a picture of it. He stated yes and told us it's $150 USD for a 16 oz steak, 4 lobster tails, 4 jump shrimp, and grilled fish. The waiter also stated they had a special deal on Margarita drinks at the moment for $10.00 USD. So we all thought wow lets do it. My boyfriend and I shared the Steak and lobster combo and 1 Margarita drink Our friend with his significant other also got the Steak and lobster combo, cheese with tortilla on the side, & 2 Margarita drinks (1 of the Margarita drink - they server brought an extra one even though we only ordered 3) Our other friend ordered 3 lobster tails. We also ordered 3 Sparkling waters and 2 regular waters. Everything was all good when we got the food. HOWEVER, my friend who ordered the 3 lobster tails DID NOT received his food on a timely manner. He waited a good 20 - 30 mins before his food arrives. This is when things went downhill for us. When our friend got his food - he ONLY received 2 lobster tails. The waiter not only DIDN'T apologize for giving his food late. He told our friend that they accidently gave his food to the wrong table. Someone from the other table ATE one of his lobster tails and they STILL charge him FULL PRICE FOR IT. When we were done eating - we asked 3 different waiters (none of them were our original waiter) for our check as our original waiter was too busy talking to people at a different table - or at least in our eyes Flirting with 2 ladies who were sitting across from us. We waited for about 20 mins for it. We expected our bill to be roughly $400-$450 USD base on the prices the waiter told us. Let me tell you something - when we FINALLY got the bill; we were totally off. The bill came out to be $623.75 USD. We all were scratching our heads and super confused to why it was so high. The restaurant was about to be close and we didn't want it to seem as if we can't pay our bill. So we paid the $623.75 plus $26.25 for tip. As we're outside waiting for our ride - our waiter ran out after us and asked us to pay MORE for tip. My friend who got only 2 lobster tails told him no we're ok with the amount we gave you guys for tip. The guy looked super shocked and left. When we got back to our AirBnb - we fully looked at the receipt again and saw that he lied to us about the steak and lobster combo - they charged us $200 USD each for it instead of $150.00 USD and the margaritas was NOT $10 USD each - instead it was $25 USD each and one of the drinks was $29 USD. Don't get me wrong - the food and drinks were AMAZING and the services at first were great but after we got our food - the services went down hill. It took us forever to ask for to go boxes and our check. They definitely knew that we're tourist and took advantage of that and overcharged us. and to top it off - ran after us and asked for more tip. If we visit Cabo again - we will not be returning to this place. Our waiter name is Jonathan.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The ambience is beautiful and the wait staff is impeccable. We had the Tacos Del Mar and Fajitas. Those were the best seafood tacos I've had in Cabo. The Fajitas were very flavorful. I highly recommend the Flan and Churros. The drinks were tasty and complemented the meal. You won't be disappointed...

Yelp
A deservedly very popular restaurant serving authentic Mexican cuisine in a fun and festive atmosphere in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The food and service are excellent and the large space virtually insures you'll be able to snag a table quickly. Once seated, service is brisk, thorough and attentive. Tip-seeking roving mariachis will come up to your table and start playing--whether you want them to or not....it can be a bit annoying, but worth indulging them for one song. Drinks are generous and so are the portions. Prices are reasonable, so have a good time. Taxi stand outside.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with family per recommendation by a local. We didnt want to do all inclusive this time as we want to explore outside the hotel to eat. I made sure we stop by here before leaving Mexico. Anyways, we were so satisfied with the service, food, and ambiance. Service was fast too. The decorations in the resto will make you feel like you are in a plaza. With regards to the food, wait times was short and the taste was amazing. Though it was alil difficult for me to order fast without pics but our server was very helpful. The stop here made my trip complete- the chance to taste authentic Mexican dishes.

Yelp
Zero stars if I could - the service was fine but the food was absolutely terrible, I think this might be my first review. Genuinely terrible experience... don't go. Absolute trash.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Service is also excellent. Gotta try the Caesar Salad and Tampinquana, both excellent dishes and well prepared.

Yelp
Amazing service and food quality! Although it was more expensive, the ambiance is worth it. Loved the Cochinita Pibil and it's great with the complimentary chips.

Yelp
Not all that... Somewhat flavorless, lamb dish, kinda dry. Salsa is low on flavor and interest. Service is friendly but a bit totally in the drinks.. be prepared for Mariachi's... Not worth the price

Yelp
Although the ambience is quite beautiful, the mariachis tell you after they play your song that it's $12 a song we end up spending $25 for two songs. The margaritas were small and the food was fair. However, the price is astronomical.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and skip reservations at Tres Sirenas and Edith's. Come straight here !! Our Tres Sirenas dinner was over $700 dollars and food was just ok and margs were blah. I first came to Tres Gallos in Dec 2021 and they are the reason I came back June 2022! The mole OMG the mole!!! I have been thinking about this dish since my first trip in 12/2021! I will not eat mole in the states . Tres gallos gets it right. Not too sweet and chicken(u get 2 options with type of chicken u want- breast or darker meat) is tender and full of flavor. Great blue corn tortillas and side of rice and beans comes with meal. Tamarindo Margs - I will compare all future tamarind margs to Tres gallos . Pls order these ! Inside decor and set up is beautiful ! Great for big parties and Romantic dinner. I told myself I would be back to celebrate my bday with friends and it happened! The ambiance and customer service were 10stars!

Yelp
The place has a beautiful ambiance with live music. The service is also great (if you order the caesar salad, they make it right in front of you and its actually pretty good). You must try the flan if you go, I am still thinking about it to this day.

Yelp
We had high hopes for Los Tres Gallos, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. We were a group of 10 guys, and every single one of us agreed--this place is a 1/10 at best. The food was terrible. Bland, poorly cooked, and nowhere near what you'd expect from a place that's supposed to serve authentic Mexican cuisine. It was almost inedible. The only positive was that none of us got sick from it, but that's about the best I can say. The service was just as bad as the food. The staff were rude and unfriendly, acting as if we were an inconvenience from the moment we walked in. It seemed like they didn't care at all about customer experience. Getting basic things like water or refills felt like pulling teeth. We tried to make the best of it, but the entire atmosphere and attitude of the place ruined the evening. There are so many great places to eat in Cabo--Los Tres Gallos is not one of them. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Not worth your time or money.

Yelp
Outdoor dining area. Wind blows hard in June, it's a factor to consider for a dinner date. Panoply of 6 service people attend the table. I lost track of who was who after the 1st meal course. All helpful if a bit abrupt. Be aware that they will be persistent to upsell you throughout the meal. Food is tasty. Looks good on the plate. Generous portions. Gringo taste buds friendly, nothing has hot chilies. I asked for spicy salsa with the chips. Heat rating was 2 / 10. Tourists level expensive. Our dinner (Cesar salad, two of the least expensive main plates, dessert, 4 glasses of Mexican wine, 2 cups coffee = $180 USD with tax and tip.) Plus $5 for the orchestra when they serenaded us. Nice experience if a bit too pricey. Would happily return if you are paying.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this but last time I ventured here it was not open. Was able to snag a reservation for a Thursday night. Beautiful ambience with colorful streamers and lighting that makes it feel very celebratory. First off, everyone was very very nice! From the host to the waiter and I think it was the manager that came by checking several times to make sure things were good. I had a non alcoholic frozen mangk slushie, the bone marrow and steak tostada for appetizer and tried the cochinita for main entree. The bone marrow dish was much larger than I expected, good flavor, served with tortilla, all for ~ $15. The entree was recommended by the waiter, a flavorful pork stew with beans, rice, pickled onions, and served with corn tortilla. The pork itself was a bit dry and maybe from being over cooked despite being served in a stew. That was about $28. Despite a nicer place, I think the prices were pretty reasonable considering that everything in cabo is quite expensive nowadays.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant, really great ambience and excellent service. Our waiter (I believe his name was Jonathon) was amazing and the food was so delicious! I am vegan and I felt they had great vegan/vegetarian options and could easily make other items on the menu plant based as well. The menu clearly defined vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc. which was wonderful. We also had a large group (11 people) and they were able to accommodate our reservation on a couple hours notice. I would absolutely recommend this place, especially if people in your group have different dietary restrictions!

Yelp
We ate there twice the first time was awesome. The second was a disaster. There was a level of smoke from the kitchen that permeated the entire restaurant. We both had the Ceasar Salad and got FOOD POISONING and had fluid coming out of us from every orifice. My wife got sick and immediately threw up in the bathroom there as well as having the runs. The same happened to me the following day. I did notice one of the guys making a Ceasar Salad dropped his glove on the ground. He just picked it up and put it on. I think the egg for the dressing was past its due date or the lettuce was not washed properly. It took over 4 days for my wife and I to recover from the FOOD POISONING. We will not go there again. We strongly urge you to find a better place to eat.

Yelp
Had Los Tres Gallos the first night in Los Cabos last week. They have great options for vegetarians. We got quesadillas, mushroom gorditas, and fajitas. The corn tortillas came out fresh and tasted comforting and paired nicely with the flavorful meal. I also loved the pickled onions, salty and sour. The portion sizes were great, and we felt satisfied after a long day of traveling. What I loved the most was the restaurants ambience. Papel picado adorned the ceilings and lights were strung throughout the dining area. It was a great way to start the vacation!

Yelp
My group of five went for a Saturday night dinner after making reservations a day earlier. They gave us complimentary salsa. We split empanadas (friend got the pazole), the tableside caesar salad, and we got our entrees. Based on some of the photos, I got the langosta and my friends got a mix of the meat dishes (such as carnitas). We then ended on some mexican coffee service. I really liked that there was a mariachi band, and they went around asking different tables what they wanted (and they sang happy birthday to individuals who had birthdays). I would not get the lobster. By the time I got my food, the lobster was cold, melted butter was almost room temperatured. The best thing on my plate was the mashed potatoes--they were warm and delicious. If I were to go back, I would get the empanadas, tableside caesar salad, a meat entree, and the mexican coffee service (it comes with a show).

Yelp
Food and drinks were fine. Ambiance was nice. Was visited by an outside mariachi vendor that played table side. But when the bill arrived, I was shocked to find that the water they had been pouring for my party all night was a charge of a 100 pesos a bottle for still water. Without any explanation of charges or warnings, this seems to be an excessive scam as we would have all rather drank more alcohol than pay $50 USD for what we assumed was filtered tap water put into bottles. Then after feeling exploited, the waiter chased us outside of the restaurant to ask for a bigger tip when I had already reluctantly left a tip despite feeling ripped off already. So please beware of an obvious scam for visitors as this is not explained nor on the menu.
