Had an amazing lunch at Marrow! I ordered the Reuben sandwich and my friend ordered the salad with steak tips. Both meals were amazing, it was their second day open and the staff were absolutely on top of it. The food was delicious, it’s the best Reuben I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and try the smash burger and the breakfast sandwich! They have a pretty large selection of meats at the butcher counter and pre-packaged foods available as well. I grabbed some farm fresh eggs, dog bones, and wine on my way out the door. The wine selection is really great with a good range of pricing, and they order it from full body to lighter so it’s easier to make a selection. I highly recommend this spot for lunch and/or to grab groceries, meat, wine, etc after work! Looking forward to being a regular!

Awesome addition to downtown Birmingham. Cafe / small high-end market (meat / steaks, loaves of bread, misc groceries). On the cafe side, it’s a small made-to-order menu and everything I’ve had has been excellent - breakfast sandwich, barbacoa torta, and veggie burger.

I stopped by Marrow Birmingham shortly after it opened and loved it. It’s a great spot for quality meats, which is getting harder to find these days, and really good sandwiches. The staff were super friendly considering how busy the place was. The sandwiches are a standout. It’s definitely worth a visit!

I stopped by Marrow Birmingham a few days after it opened and had the turkey sandwich with some friends—it was so good, I ended up ordering another one to take to a friend! As a resident of Detroit I frequent the restaurant and butcher and really love what they created in Birmingham. Their wine selection in particular is great, with helpful labels that guide you on what pairs well with different foods - it actually inspired me to make a few dishes! The shop itself is friendly, bright, clean and has a nice mix of sandwiches, meats, and other goods. It’s the kind of place the area really needed—a great spot for lunch and also for picking up locally sourced goods. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Atmosphere was super nice. My wife and I ordered the Bahn mi and Rueban, however both were disappointing for the price point. The Bahn mi, for starters, did not come on Bahn mi bread and was more of a panini which added to our dissapointment. Both the Reauban and Bahn mi were extremely salty, could have been a one off but sadly we could not finish our sandwiches because of this. The place has potential but I think some adjustments could be made. For instance, we originally wanted the burger but unfortunately could not because they ground beef and pork together to make the patties and we, like many other people in the are cant eat pork. I think this could turn a lot of people away given the location it is in. The service was not friendly as you would expect for a new restaurant that just opened and building a reputation for itself. I think this place has a lot of potential but don't think I will be back.

Every time I come here, there’s an issue. The first time, everything was sold out. The second time, I came for a breakfast sandwich at 3 PM, and they said it’s only served until 11. On top of that, they’re extremely overpriced for average meat selection. I’m done—definitely not coming back.

I am a big fan and regular patron of the Marrow location on Kercheval and was extremely excited to see them open the Birmingham location. Excited to have another pasture raised butcher shop in the area. Had the Smoked Ham sandwich that had a great mix of flavors. The Smashed Burger was also very tasty. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. All the meats cuts look good with great marbling. Looking forward to grabbing some next weekend! Good luck on your new location!

Pretty exciting to see Marrow in the burbs! Though not in its full glory, it's still titillating to see them slang their infamous smash burgers and plenty of intriguing creations in their more casual vibe new digs. Gotta, gotta, gotta have their double smash burger, no questions asked. Fantastically melt in your mouth, though the seasoned griddles over at the OG Marrow in the West Village definitely leave a tastier imprint on their delectable custom blend of beef. Cant wait to try some new new next time!

Ordered the breakfast sandwich and it is worth the hype!! The sandwich is $10 and is $4 to add sausage. Not totally clear from the picture but it was a gigantic piece of sausage. I would not think to include pimento cheese on a breakfast sandwich but it's a perfect match. They also have a cute little bar seating area at the front and some tables in the back if you want to eat there!
