"In December the company is unveiling its second neighborhood butcher shop in a 1,400-square-foot space at 283 Hamilton Row in Birmingham. The shop includes a retail butcher counter selling aged steaks, deli meats, a selection of wine and gourmet sundries, the shop's line of packaged sausages, limited café seating, and a breakfast and lunch menu of hot sandwiches like meatball subs, banh mi-style veggie sandwiches, a seasonal selection of salads, soups, and other savory snacks designed by executive chef and partner Sarah Welch. In a news release issued Thursday, November 7, CEO and founder Ping Ho said that her team has been popping up at the Birmingham Farmer’s Market each Sunday and added: "We aim to be a neighborhood staple where people can enjoy a delicious meal and conveniently shop for high-quality, locally sourced meats, with the same quality of our flagship Detroit location." Coinciding with the opening, customers can pick up take-home Thanksgiving orders at both this Birmingham location and the original West Village spot on November 26 and 27; customers can place online orders for locally-raised organic turkey, glazed ham, standing rib roast, Sabbath Farm Beijing duck, plus all the fixings and sides." - Serena Maria Daniels
