Nestled by the water in Boston's Seaport, Nautilus Pier 4 serves up an eclectic tapas menu featuring global flavors, from seafood staples to Peking duck, all in a vibrant setting with a fabulous outdoor patio.
"This is one of the top spots on Nantucket, and we’re thrilled it landed in the Seaport a couple of years ago. Nautilus Pier 4 is the kind of restaurant that does dishes from all over the place—New England, Latin America, the Mediterranean, and across Asia—but pretty much anything here is solid. Go for the crab fried rice and tempura oyster tacos that made the Nantucket location a hit, along with the tuna chips and dip, which is basically fancy tuna salad with crispy shrimp chips, and the Peking whole roasted duck with squishy little steamed buns, sushi rice, and smoky mayo. There are plenty of great patios around the Seaport, and Nautilus has a solid one where you’ll get a good view of the harbor. It’s also the ideal place to sip on their absurdly delicious cocktails like the Cruel Summer, made with coconut rum and Aztec chocolate bitters. " - tanya edwards
"This Boston iteration of a Nantucket island staple combines New England coastal cuisine and globally influenced street food for an eclectic menu of small plates, like blue crab fried rice, and table feasts, like a Peking-inspired whole roast duck. Complement the meal with a choice from the robust cocktail and sake menus." - Celina Colby, Eater Staff
"The sando, with its layers of crispy fried eggplant katsu and crunchy cabbage, piled high on soft, fluffy milk bread, was deeply, delightfully good." - Erika Adams
"One of the best Boston seafood restaurants (hit them up on Pier 4 in the Seaport) has a Nantucket outpost. The Nautilus, which originated in Nantucket, serves small seafood plates izakaya-style, including meaty crab fried rice, shrimp toast, oyster tacos, and a peking duck that you and your friends should order after a day out on a boat or the green. Expect the clubby space—we love taking over a spot on the tufted blue banquettes—to go all out for the season." - Tanya Edwards
"Ever since setting sail from Nantucket and dropping anchor in the Seaport in 2021, Nautilus Pier 4 has offered seafood-focused fare — plus a feast of whole roasted duck with warm buns, ginger scallion rice, and a host of accompaniments — right on the water. Now, its foliage-shrouded patio, called the “Nauti Garden,” is open for the warmer months." - Nathan Tavares
