"Let’s get one thing out of the way: Navio is not cheap. It’s in the Ritz-Carlton and they serve delicate cavatelli, wagyu, and a gilded lily of a lobster roll with beurre blanc and trout roe. But if you’re looking for somewhere that'll inspire you to renovate an old house on the coast and start dressing like the linen-clad lead of a Nancy Meyers film, make a reservation. At dinner, they offer seven- or three-course tastings for $195 and $155, respectively. At brunch, you can order any quantity of dishes from an a la carte menu within a two-hour period for $199 per adult (or $149 per child)." - Gabi Moskowitz

"Never least, south of town, the Ritz Carlton shines like a fine dining lighthouse with Navio, the seafood restaurant within the hotel. The restaurant recently reopened in August 2024 after extensive renovations, with beautiful views of the property and water from the dining room. There is a seven-course tasting menu ($195) and a three-course prix fixe menu ($155) available, depending on the size of your hunger. There is also an a la carte weekend brunch menu and a two-hour, unlimited a la carte experience including fresh seafood, brunch favorites and more (which goes for a cool $199 per person, or $149 per child). Reservations can be made here." - Dianne de Guzman, Momo Chang

This review is for weekend brunch for a party of 4 in May'25. I have been to Navio several times before and always remember the weekend brunch to be a buffet setting where you help yourself to unlimited savings.. but things have changed slightly now. It still is an AYCE but the food is served to you ala-carte style at your table. We enjoyed the following - Caviar sampler - Benedicts Traditional and Smoked Salmon - Bean Soup w/Bacon crumble - Cavatelli pasta - Wagyu beef slider - Lobster Roll - Beef Tenderloin - Lamb Chops Tea /Coffee / Fresh juices are included. The price per person is $199 plus taxes Valet parking (the only option) is $50 Overall, Navio is a place for special occasions..with the food , service and ambiance consistently maintaining it's standards over the years.

This is what the Ritz Carlton should be like. If you see my review of the sister restaurant in the hotel, the Conservatory, I am not afraid to mince words. However, this was an excellent experience. Blew the other restaurant in the hotel out of the water. Our waiter was excellent, attentive, very knowledgeable. The bartender was excellent, friendly and helped us to figure out great drinks. He even allowed us to sample a few Specials he made. Everyone at this restaurant clearly cared about what they were doing. It was expensive, but this was worth it. I would go back in a heartbeat. It would be a great place for a special occasion, such as an anniversary or your spouse’s birthday. Well Reem.

The 3-course prix-fixe was outstanding. Michelin should take note soon, consistency assumed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Navio. It was a memorable weekend with some of the best food I've had in a long time. I apologize for the delay in sharing my review as I initially lost, but later found the pictures from my visit. The service and beverages were exceptional. My only suggestion is that they should offer more French wine options, but it's not so much a complaint as it is a request. The food was part of a visiting Chef series, and during my visit, it was the 2023 Global Cuisine Series featuring Chef Miguel Navarro. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to returning to the restaurant in the future for more outstanding cuisine.

This is my third time dine here. Today, in a rainy day, I drive by with my spouse, wish to have an afternoon tea/ snack. It’s pretty empty spots as it’s in the afternoon time, they told me that we can’t seat in the dining area and had me to sit in a public area. We seat for 15 mins later, no one provides us the menu, later on we checked in with them again and learn that we need to get the menu ordered by the bar ourselves. Ordered some pizza and soup, and wait for 25 mins, finally serve to us. I don’t think I will want to come here ever again.

Our overall dining experience at Navio was just okay. The decor is heavy and outdated even though it looks like they may have done some “refresh.” Their service could certainly use improvements. For the price tag of their Prix Fixe menu, you’d expect high-quality service. Instead we got servers who didn’t show any genuine hospitality towards us. Very disappointed that this is the level of service at a Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay restaurant.

One of the most decadent brunch experiences I have ever had. All you can eat for $249/person within a 2-hour window, and you can order two items at a time from the menu. The service is surprisingly fast, and the staff was definitely very attentive to every need. Beautiful setting inside the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. Be sure to book ahead as reservations can be hard to come by.

Came to Navio for the first time to celebrate my birthday and the staff made it an amazing experience. We got a private room (for just the 6 of us) without even asking. Victoria one of the hostesses even wrote me a Birthday card in my native language. Cruz our server was super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I even received a birthday surprise and a birthday song from the staff. The food was excellent. It was all small portions but it was delicious and very filling. I can’t wait to come back again.

Yelp
Oh my goodness what a treat. You have to do this at least once. Holiday lunch buffet in December is so romantic and lovely. Service is excellent, they take care of you! Food is top notch. Loved almost every dish. I tried almost everything on the menu (minus benedict) Exceptional- Scallops Wagyu sliders Pumpkin soup When I left I was offered a hot cider to take with me to walk around the property. Gotta keep those cold hands warm. LOVE.

Yelp
Overall experience was 5/5, the "would definitely do again, but probably 1x a year" type of experience. Let me tell you why: The Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay is always a 5/5 experience no matter how the weather. The bagpipes, the coastline, the hot chocolate, the decor, the vibes, always an amazing experience. Navio: We were fortunate enough to get a reservation for New Years brunch. I believe the weekend brunch reservations go pretty quickly, so plan ahead and accordingly. The brunch was a "buffet style". All you can eat for 1.5 hours. No buffet line and you order with a server 2 dishes per person at a time. It was nice knowing that you don't have to pick food that could be contaminated by others. Food: Some of the food was super top notch 5/5. Other foods were hard passes. Some of the top favorties were: -Caviar plate (not the best caviar, but still very delicious) -Shrimp cocktail (the shrimp was maybe 3.5/5, but the cocktail sauce was excellent) -Fresh green salad -Truffle Scallop (definitely the best dish that day!) -Beef Wellington (a bit sweet, 4/5) -Lamb (5/5) -Dessert tower!! (4 different desserts!! 5/5) Some misses and would not order again: -Soup (was okay and worth the try, better for sharing) -Cavatelli (was just mid) Service: As expected from a Ritz Carlton restaurant, the staff was super attentive, polite, accommodating, and overall, extremely pleasant. Some of the best service around!

Yelp
Spending the day in Half Moon Bay turned out to be a fantastic choice. Once we got over the hill, it was all nice and foggy and cool. We had a super fancy brunch at Navio in the Ritz Carlton, and it was absolutely amazing! The weekend brunch menu had a bit of everything for both of us. What's even better, our favorite dishes were on there not just once, but twice! After filling our bellies, we took a leisurely walk around the grounds and checked out their famous golf course, all while enjoying the awesome views of the Pacific.

Yelp
My foodie friend made arrangements to come here for a joint birthday celebration. The restaurant is located in Ritz at half moon bay. They only do valet parking for about $35 during weekday. Okay priced. There are no restrooms inside the restaurant but there are a couple of options in hotel. It is in ritz so the decorations are top notched. Pretty throughout with a touch of holiday spirit. Their coat check is a bit casual. No tickets are given and it is stored in a closet close to the entryway. We were seated pretty quickly. Purse stool is available upon request. The lady forgot the purse stool for my friend at first but upon further request, the stool was brought over. Their chair is comfy and roomy and for my small clutch, we both fit in fine. We went with three course tasting menu. The meal started with a complimentary mushroom tempura along with a palate-cleansing drink. I find the tempura to be so so. Not much flavor and was not crispy (felt not so fresh). But the palate-cleansing drink was awesome. I had the wagyu carpaccio for the first course. The flavor combination with caviar and the crispy crostini was beautiful. The crostini was very delicate. Love it. The presentation with the smoke effect was fantastic. My monk fish was okay. The play with olive was refreshing. I personally preferred the green olive with monk fish. It was less tart and more nutty. Overall a solid dish. But my friend's lamb dish looked absolutely fantastic and a piece of art. Love the colors and treatment over the bone. Beautiful. I had the Black Forest for desert and realized that I prefer the chocolate without the cherry. It was good with the white chocolate wrap but I was craving more for a solid chocolate chocolate desert. My friends' apple and pumpkin deserts look fantastic. The apple desert looked wonderful... looking artsy! The birthday girl and birthday boy got an extra chocolate tasted desert that was lovely and fixed my chocolate cravings. The post meal sweet included a chocolate jelly ( a bit too sweet for me), a mint chocolate (okay... not a fan of mint chocolate) and a fig caramel (love it). The food portion here is on the small side. I am not a fan of bread but I found the need to eat the bread to keep myself full. Their bread offering here is sourdough. It was very crusty and has a good bite. Again, I am not a big fan of bread. I found it okay. Service here was overall very attentive and friendly. I heard from my friend that their afternoon tea is awesome too. Hoping to bring kiddos here for a try. The overall experience was great. When we got the coat, I need to tell them which coat was mine. So a little uncomfortable with their coat check process. Valet parking was great. Note for ladies wearing heels. Ritz here has cobblestone at the entry area. So please watch out. I am hoping to bring kiddos over for an afternoon tea experience. Good place to visit.

Yelp
This place is a spot that my dad wanted to go to for years. My sister and I wanted to take him there for his birthday on Saturday so here we are. The Navio brunch buffet is $199 a person not including tip and you also have to pay $50 for the valet parking, so I'm sure you have an idea of where I'm going here price wise. There's a 2 hr limit to the brunch buffet and each person is only allowed to order 2 items at a time. In remaining 30 minutes, the staff starts to introduce the desserts to the table. Regarding the quality of the food, it was immaculate. The highlights in my opinion were the lobster roll, oysters, and wagyu sliders. The service of course was excellent which is not surprising to me considering this is in the Ritz-Carlton hotel. Our servers/waitresses were very kind, attentive, and broke down the rules of the brunch buffet pretty well. The ambiance of the place is needless to say, just beautiful. The inside of the hotel/restaurant was grand. My family and I were seated near the window where we got a mesmerizing view of the ocean. All in all, a great experience! Although on the pricey side. This is a spot you definitely have to check out at least once in your lifetime. Try it out if you like. :)

Yelp
We had a lovely brunch here. It's no longer a buffet brunch. You are able to choose two items at a time from there large variety of dishes for about 1 1/2. The last half hour is for the desserts. They bring you a tower of desserts that consist of 4 desserts for each guest. The food was absolutely amazing. My favorites were the pan seared scallop, the wagyu beef slider and the beef tenderloin. There was so much to eat it impossible for us to try everything. The desserts were so delicious and beautifully made. We were seated right by the window so we can eat and enjoy the view of the ocean. Service was excellent. We were taken care of the moment we sat down until the time we left. This was a wonderful dining experience and a great way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you to the wonderful staff for bringing me a special dessert for my birthday. It was delicious.

Yelp
My oh my! Navio at the Ritz was sensational! Food-gasmic, tranquil, superb service, and oh so delicious! We didn't even need an ocean view reservation to be seated next to the window Saturday afternoon (normally charged extra). Valet only so be prepared to drop $50 in addition to your 2 hour AYCE $199pp weekend brunch. Once seated, attentive staff ask for water preference (house, bottled still, sparkling) and bring over a complimentary shot glass portion of the day's fresh juice. We had guava. Peruse the menu and choose 2 items each time your head waiter/waitress comes by. No need to choose dessert because everyone gets one of each. I'd like to commend the following wait staff: Nohemi for welcoming us, Martha for gracing us with warm smiles, Arturo for the top notch service in noting all our orders. *Eats: Bread Service + butter & sea salt -Pan Seared Scallop -Caviar Tasting (California Sturgeon, Spanish Smoked Trout, Chinese Paddlefish) -Wagyu Beef Slider -Lobster with Spanish Smoked Trout Caviar -Chocolate Chip Pancakes -Belgian Waffles + Berry Compote -Cauliflower Soup + Pork Belly Bits -Cavatelli Pasta -Lamb Rack -Beef Tenderloin -Grilled Seasonal Vegetables -Marin County Cheese Tasting *Dessert Quartet: -Pumpkin Chai Cheesecake -Apple Choux -Semolina Cake -Praline Our group of 5 all started with the scallop & caviar tasting. My favorites were: lobster, wagyu beef slider, cauliflower soup, beef tenderloin, and Belgian waffles. I got 2 portions of the lobster. One of my friends got caviar 4x! She and her husband were the ones recommending Navio and know which items to keep coming back for. Her husband? Lamb rack, at least 3 portions? Hehe. Lobster was absolutely succulent and I dived in after eating the pancakes (melty chocolatey chips, fresh whip cream, maple syrup) & crisp yet chewy golden Belgian waffles topped with warm berry compote and powdered sugar oh-em-gee! While the scallop was prepared immaculately with a bed of truffle polenta, it was actually too naturally sweet for me. Who knew cauliflower soup could be so good? Thin like creamy steamed milk but complimented by pork croutons & chive oil. Wagyu beef slider was amazing! I could've eaten three of these with fries and gone home happy. Tender beef, smoked pork belly, shiitake mushroom, and black garlic aioli mmm. I was already full by the time I cut into the beef tenderloin but oh man, that steak sliced like butter! Cooked medium rare? So smooth and buttery. I felt bad I couldn't finish it because dessert arrived. Lamb was seared & cooked well, accompanied by peas & mint. My friend tried the pumpkin cheesecake and it was the epitome of Fall. Pretty orange mirror-glazed spiced cream atop chai shortbread with candied ginger. She took a bite and claimed it tasted like Macy's LOL. Her hubs was all, what?! I tried it at home and my mom agreed. Remember the scent of stepping into men's Macy's with a masculine mix of autumn & wood? That's kind of how the experience was. The Apple choux dessert was my second favorite with honeycrisp apple jam, salted cinnamon mascarpone, and pastry shell. Semolina cake was refreshing with a vanilla cake & huckleberry compote layer, topped with caramelized popped sorghum/popcorn. Two of us were pleasantly surprised with mini birthday desserts: tropical mousse that looked like mochi ice cream from first glance. Each spoonful was so smooth and creamy like mango. Gorgeous ocean views and they were setting up a wedding during our visit. Make sure to walk around the grounds and trail right by the water. Watch out for golf carts! Pricey experience, but something to do at least once to treat yourself.

Yelp
I have to say... the drive to the ritz Carlton HMB is absolutely terrible but the view and ambiance and the hotel made it better. My boyfriend made reservations for 11:30 am and we got seated earlier which was nice. The moment we sat down, we were greeted by our server, Maria, who explained how this brunch experience worked and brought us bread+ butter and a yummy juice shot. I have to say, Maria made this experience A+++++. She made suggestions on what w should share and get individually to maximize what we order and we couldn't have tried everything without her help. I think the only thing we skipped was the waffle and pancake. Star of the show: - scallops - beef tenderloin - oysters -pumpkin soup Even my bf was surprised how good the pumpkin soup was! 10/10 it was a great first time experience and I hope if you stay at this hotel, you try it out!

Yelp
We've dined here twice, and both times fell below our expectations. While the atmosphere and staff are wonderful, the food itself doesn't live up to the fine dining standards you'd expect at these prices. Unfortunately, it just wasn't worth it for us.

Ed K.

Yelp
Pricewise for the offering we thought it was about $50 too much at a whopping $199 per head. Perhaps it wasn't busy for this price point. I struggled to really get a variety that was comfortable and diverse that allowed me to explore with curiosity. Adventure is our middle name so We attempted to order everything on the menu. Caviar Oysters wagyu slider Lobster roll Cauliflower soup Organic Maitake mushroom Scallop with truffle polenta Rack of lamb A lot of the dishes were overseasoned. One dish was the organic maitake mushroom. Meat cannot be seasoned in the same way as vegetables. The sauce was very salty and mushrooms absorbed everything. My partner left the mushroom after two bites. Overall, I enjoyed the meat dishes which I thought were a bit overseasoned.

Jolens V.

Yelp
The food is excellent. All the best tastes in one table. The pan seared scallop was outstanding, the cocktail shrimps were fresh and tasty. The slider was perfect. The lamb rack was tender and really great with the fresh mint . The caviar and cheese tasting was amazing. The table setting was decadent. The service was A Class special mention to Mariano snd Arturo. Their hostess was so kind and sweet too . The attention given to the patrons is very commendable. The Ritz is a very nice place to visit. I did a TikTok while there and had so many viewers. People thought I was on vacation on some Exotic Island.Yes the price is not easily affordable but you really get what you pay for but in this instance it is worth it plus a whole lot more. Kudos to the place . It is an awesome and unique experience.

Daniel A.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The scallops were so good I ordered 3. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend this brunch. Only con is the parking is $50 bucks.

Jen H.

Yelp
Their Brunch buffet is pretty solid. I feel it is "worth" the money, considering how much everything else cost here. The scallop was my favorite! Definitely make reservations. They have specific time frame seating time for buffet. Overall a great experience and would recommend!

Alejandra D.

Yelp
My husband and I came for their weekend brunch AYCE $199/person. They really be trying to get you w/that additional $50/person window seating. I'd say if you reallyyyy wanna do that, it's only worth it if you're 2 people b/c the table is set-up so you're both facing the window. If you're more than 2 people, and the way they've set up the tables, it seems at least one of you will have your back to the window. As we observed, a couple people in a party had their backs to the window the whole time. it seemed like kind of a waste of $100? but that's just me. We lucked out b/c we were seated behind one of those window tables, but the table was empty so we didn't have anyone or anything blocking our view of the window during our meal :) We could still see the boats passing in the ocean. OH yeah, we came on a Saturday when it's less busy since they only have 2 seatings while Sunday they have 3 (according to one of the staff). Our reservation was at 11:15am and I liked where we sat. Navio seemed to be split in 2 rooms, we were in the farther one and it was more intimate and quiet which I liked! We were only 3 parties. The service from Dante and Maria and was excellent. They were a great team. Dante was on it w/taking our next orders, I think they got it timed like they know when to come back to you and Maria was on it too w/clearing our plates, refilling our waters and coffee. Maria was the sweetest as well. The brunch came with complimentary bread, a juice shot/smoothie, and 1 mimosa. There's so many yummy items to pick from. Our favorite dish of them all was hands down the pan seared scallop w/truffle polenta. We ordered that dish 6 TIMES, 3 for my husband and 3 for me. We just kept going back to that one. Absolutely delicious. I think my least favorites were: the Belgian waffle and the eggs benedict. Belgian waffle: The portion was quite big. I was expecting a bit of a crunchy exterior and soft inside, but it was kinda crunchy all the way through. felt like I was eating a cracker w/whipped cream. The whipped cream was good and the berry compote too. just wish the waffle was soft. hubby took a bite and agreed. Egg benedict: the english muffin was tough to cut into, that thing was hard. We didn't have breakfast that morning so we showed up w/an empty tummy. The 1.5 hours was plenty of time to eat and try everything we wanted. we got so full! then the last 30 minutes was for dessert. A tower of 4 desserts. you don't have to pick and get them all. My favorite was the macaron w/the peach fillling! my least favorite was the s'mores cake. I liked the Mexican chocolate mousse in it, but not the other s'mores components and I left it on the plate, which is a hard thing for me to do. It was my husband's favorite though and he'll tell you how great it was. However, he was so stuffed too that he didn't want mine! You will leave full. My husband also ordered the Bloody Mary package, $40. unlimited bloody mary's and your 3 choices: traditional, bacon, and spicy jalapeno. His favorite was the jalapeno which he ordered 2x. Areas of improvement: -For the price at $199/person, I think it could include coffee as well. Coffee was separate at $7/coffee and we ordered 2. -Valet $50. Again, I feel for the price it could be included or reduced since we're only there for 2 hours. We enjoyed our brunch and service was great, we would return.

Yelp
So I took my mom to what I considered a really nice Christmas buffet. While there she asked me if I had ever been to the brunch at Ritz Carlton Halfmoon Bay. She said, " I heard it's really nice?". Translation= " I want you to take me there!" I decided to take her for Easter Brunch. This was my only second time here and it's a lot different than my first experience. The first time I came for brunch 7 years ago, it was more of a " buffett" style where you went on your own to the tables and picked what you want to eat. This time around, you get to pick 2 items at a time and pretty much as many times as you want or your belly can fill up within 1.5 hours and leaving 30 minutes for dessert. The ambiance here was simply elegant and classy. Loved how they decorated the reataurant and hotel for Easter w/ flowers and eggs everywhere. A costumed bunny even walked around to say hello! Service: excellent! Food: Sweet like chocolate chip pancakes to savory pasta and lobster... Nice selection of items and well executed. My favorites that I ordered 2x were the pan seared scallop and the lobster w/ beure blanc sauce. I asked the server if the menu was different on a regular Sunday brunch. He told me not much since most of the core items will be there along with more seasonal items offered. There is a 50 dollar charge for parking. And the price per person for Easter was $255. Overall, my mom Loved it! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch here for special occasions. I hope to come back soon and hopefully before another 7 years goes by!

Yelp
Weekend brunch $199 per person. Window seating $50 per person Parking $50 Total meal for two : over $600 which includes tip This is the definition of a bougie brunch. Took my husband here for a birthday meal. Made reservations online via Tock. Restaurant opens up at 10am and you will have to pay extra to sit by the window to overlook the ocean. Comes with complimentary bread and butter (don't fill up on these ) Complimentary mimosa ( 1 glass each) and a small serving of a juice smoothie (1-2 oz) . All the items on the menu are all you can eat. Each person can order two dishes at a time. The server will serve all the dishes beautifully plated to you. I recommend each person order different dishes to be able to try the whole menu. There is a lot of stuff on there and it's tough to try everything. Our favorite bites : Scallop 10/10 hands down. Served with truffle polenta. This was very flavorful. Ordered two of these each person. Lobster - served with caviar. Also very tasty bite. Crab cake - delicious and plenty of crab Smoked salmon on potato pancake - also tasty topped with caviar and the crunch of potato pancake was similar to hash brown Benedict - the Benedict was very tasty Belgian waffle - served with homemade whipped cream. Cavatappi - truffle sauce pasta. Very flavorful. Caviar - you get a sample of three diff caviar with Bellini and creme fraiche.

Yelp
Got food poisoning from the thanksgiving menu, do not eat, this is not my body problem, friends who join this brunch was also food poisoned!! This is ridiculous, avg of $300 per person bunch can not guarantee food safety!

Yueming G.

Yelp
Been here already couple times, the main reason I selected this spot first is because it's quality of food and customer service, Second it's the atmosphere, however this time is very disappointed, they may have a big party however they should selected the private room instead of loudly in the whole dinning area. I talk with another table we have same point---- too noisy it seems like the whole dining room only have their own party . Nothing wrong with the food & service. Hope the manger can read this one

Yelp
Whatever happened to celebrating at Chuck E. Cheese's? This used to be what our two daughters would ask for on their birthdays, but things have drastically changed now that they are both adults... My wife made the Weekend Brunch reservation so off we went to Half Moon Bay. Food was topnotch and totally worthy of five stars, but having to pay an extra $50 for parking was immoral. For a window table, that's another $50. Even on a day when those tables were not reserved, they would not give customers a free upgrade. No worries, we got to enjoy the view from afar. Pan Seared Scallop - This was my hands-down favorite! It was beautifully plated resting on top of a truffle polenta and basil oil. It did not just look the part - it was very fresh and delicious, too! Lobster - Perfectly cooked and paired with a rich beurre blanc sauce. Nobody remembers second place, but this one I did. Blue Prawns - These three huge prawns were fantastic - plump, sweet, and juicy. Half Moon Bay Benedict - A picture paints a thousand words... especially with a runny egg in it! This was perfect with the Dungeness crab in the mix. Alaskan King Crab Legs - Another tasty dish, but this looked a bit underwhelming. They chose to serve two small pieces instead of showcasing how big a king crab leg is. We got everything we wanted to try in the allotted 1.5 hours for the savory menu and then we each reordered our winners. The final half hour was reserved for the dessert tower, which was average at best. This was an impressive brunch experience and we were treated to an excellent array of splendid food. Our birthday celebrants were very happy. Everything turned out well... except for the parking.

Yelp
I reserved Navio for my husbands birthday about a month in advance since he wanted some type of brunch buffet experience but he ended up having such a great time that we're looking forward to coming back again soon! We arrived a bit early for our reservation and they were able to seat us without a problem and gave us some complementary mimosas to start with along with a menu. There isn't a serve yourself station like other buffets, instead you order two items off the menu at a time and they will bring it to you. While you work on eating the current items, you can place in two more orders. We divvied up the menu so we were able to try everything on the menu at least once. My absolute favorite item was the scallops as they were seared perfectly and the truffle polenta with it was to die for! His favorite was the wagyu beef slider and I thought that was pretty decent too. Hard passes were the pumpkin soup as that was too salty and the beet risotto. After about two hours, they brought out the dessert tower and his birthday dessert. We were so full by then we opted to take it home but the apple tart that they gave us tasted amazing! We had a great time at this restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pretty mellow until they seated a table next to us that was pretty loud. We had a great view of the ocean and it was a perfect sunny day outside so we walked around after with our mimosas. We will definitely come back for their brunch again!

Yelp
Haiku: Navio Succulent scallops Seafood and coastal cuisine Gorgeous ocean views. --- Navio is famous for its ultra-luxe, 2-hour brunch at $199 per person. The hype is real and I get it. Focusing on seafood and coastal cuisine, almost every dish is outstanding. It's difficult to try every single item, but my girlfriends and I did our best to beast our way through the menu and share some items. Worthy dishes to eat: - Pan-seared Scallops: The star of this all-you-can-eat buffet is the succulent scallops. It has a perfectly pan-fried crust and a warm velvety center. I've had my fair share of scallop dishes, but Navio blows it out of the water. It's the best scallop I've ever had. I was relishing the scallops as I polished four orders of them. - Flavored Oysters: This trio of oysters is my next favorite dish. All three oysters were distinct in taste--a bloody mary, mild wasabi, and a sweet champagne foam. - Blue Prawns: Three giant-size prawns were perfectly cooked with a slight firm bite. They're deveined and dipped in cocktail sauce. - Caviar Tasting: I don't eat caviar often, so it was a treat to eat these little guys that were delectable with the creme fraiche and micro pancakes. It was a great balance of mild and fresh flavors. - Smoked Salmon: It's a great three-bite salmon. This beautiful bunch of smoked salmon sat on top of a hash brown and topped with caviar. I adored the crunch and the hash brown balanced the saltiness of the smoked salmon. - Glazed Salmon: The salmon was a substantial size and was delicately flaky and the ponzu glaze was a dream. I would order more of this dish. - Lamb Rack: A tender rack of lamb didn't taste gamey and the glaze was paired perfectly. Dishes worthy to share: - Wagyu Beef Slider: A juicy slider packed with flavors of umami mushrooms, smoked pork belly, and garlic. I made the mistake and ordered one for myself and that did me in. It was too rich and took up much precious stomach space. Do yourself and favor and split this with a buddy. - Grilled Seasonal Vegetables: A gorgeous assortment of freshly cooked vegetables like asparagus, grilled tomatoes, purple cauliflower, and squash--all topped with truffles--gave me some fiber and a break from all the seafood I was eating. - Chocolate Chip Pancakes: What's a brunch if there isn't something sweet? A Comforting sweet chocolate chip pancakes topped with ripe bananas and whipped cream made for a luscious pairing to all the savory dishes I was eating. Service was impeccable--friendly, attentive, and interactive. She even provided boxes for us to take home our dessert tower of mini rolls, tarts, and bars. We enjoyed our last dishes with tea and extra tea bags were provided too. I've been dreaming about those tender scallops and definitely will come back for this brunch. I hope to bring my family next time. This is a brunch experience I'd love for them to try.

Yelp
It was good but very pricey especially when you factor in drink costs, the $50 pp ocean view seating (not mandatory and would've been nice except the day we went was rainy so we could barely see anything), and the mandatory $50 valet weekend parking. The scallop was by far the best bite, we ran out of time to try the lamb rack and beef tenderloin but reviews on those were mid so not a loss i guess. Service was nice, Dante told us about the two golf courses on site and regularly came by to take our orders. I do wish they gave us a warning that our 90 minutes of ordering was almost up before they brought the dessert tower.

Yelp
Had the greatest time celebrating my susprise engagement here with my family and fiancée! We couldn't have dined at a more perfect restaurant. It was a sunny day and the views were absolutely perfect Our reservation was in the afternoon which is after they do their buffet brunch. I'm glad that all 9 of us got to sit down at a large table and order with the servers regularly. This was perfect because the food was always warm, fresh, and surprisingly came out very fast. We loved everything on the menu especially the caviar and the lobster. It was definitely worth the price for celebrating such a special milestone in our lives. I can't wait to come back here again

Yelp
We booked the Ritz to celebrate our wedding anniversary weekend and made reservations for brunch ahead of time. We heard about this place, and it had quite a reputation. I think this is one of those things you would want to try at least once. The brunch is priced per person for two hours. The last half hour is for dessert. You order two items from the menu, per person. When your order comes, you can order two more items from the menu. You can try or not try as many dishes as you want from the menu. Drinks are not included, except for a complimentary mimosa. They do serve bread in the beginning of your dining experience. The bread was very fresh and so good. I didn't want to eat much of it but did want to try it. My husband and I did order our dishes at first, but around the third order, I thought we should order different items from the menu. This way we can share all the dishes and try everything we would like to try. There was over ten plus dishes on the menu. I just can't eat that much food to try everything. Everything was very delicious. We were glad we shared our dishes and got to try almost everything. I was so full by the time dessert came; I just couldn't eat another bite. We were given the option to take our desserts to go. The service was amazing. Dante worked there for over 20 yrs. He explained the menu and the how the brunch worked. He made our experience great.

Yelp
I'd heard about Navio previously, but until I saw a video about the weekend buffet, dining there was just a fleeting thought. Once I saw the buffet highlighted recently, I made it a priority to go there. The weekend buffet at Navio is definitely an indulgence at $199 per person, but for my foodie friend and I, it was worth it. Since we knew the format of the 2-hour buffet and that you could order two items at a time during the 1 1/2 hour savory portion of the meal, I had initial concerns the time would be too short, but that wasn't the case. We had time for six, count them 6 rounds of food within that time frame! Gabby and Pedro took great care of us and brought out food and beverages quickly without feeling rushed. We appreciated the complimentary mimosas and really enjoyed the quality of the food. Speaking of food, let's get to it. Oh wait, my friend has a slight dairy sensitivity, and she shared that with the hostess. Each time food was brought out, Pedro & Gabby made sure my friend's portion had limited dairy. Round 1: I started with the Caviar Tasting which came with Sturgen, Smoked Trout, and Paddlefish roe. I loved that smoked Trout roe! For my second item, I ordered the Pan Seared Scallop with Truffle Polenta w/Basil Oil. My friend started with Blue Prawns w/Cocktail Sauce & the Wagyu Beef Slider with Shiitake Mushrooms, Smoked Pork Belly, and Black Garlic Aioli. What a GREAT START for both of us! As soon as our first items were served, we ordered our second round. Round 2: For our second round, I had the Lobster w/Beurre Blanc & some of that yummy smoked trout caviar. I also ordered the Glazed Salmon w/Sweet Peas and Bok Choy, which was cooked perfectly. The salmon had crispy skin with perfectly moist flesh. My friend had the Scallop and a Chocolate Chip Pancake w/Banana, Maple Syrup, & Whipped Cream. Again, we were both thrilled with our selections. Round 3: This time I had the Blue Prawn Cocktail & Lamb Rack w/Sweet Peas & Fresh Mint. Oh man, that lamb chop was AWESOME! It was smoky, tender, and the sauce was delicious. My friend tried the Heirloom Tomato w/Nectarine & Roasted Sesame Vinaigrette and the Beef Tenderloin w/Port Wine Reduction (with shaved truffles, nonetheless). Another round of all winners. Round 4: For my next round, I got my own Wagyu Slider. I'm not usually a huge slider fan, but this was next-level crazy good! The meat was flavorful, cooked perfectly medium rare, had a thick slice of smoked pork belly, and delicious Shiitake mushrooms nestled in a soft bun. I also got my second order of a perfectly seared scallop w/a hint of truffle. My friend got her second round of pancakes. This time they gave her two of the mini pancakes w/crunchy spheres of chocolate, a slice of banana, whipped cream, and syrup. For her second item, she chose the Belgian Waffles. Round 5: This was the only round of disappointments for me. I had the Half Moon Bay Benedict (crab & spinach) and Rigatoni Carbonara Bacon Croutons & Parmesan Cheese. The rigatoni looked like it was topped with a bunch of country gravy but it was super light, like it was aerated in a siphon. The sauce was super black pepper heavy and the lardons were really hard to eat since they were so overcooked. Maybe it was intentional since the menu said they were bacon croutons, but I did not enjoy that dish at all. My friend had the Marin County Cheese Tasting w/fig jelly and dried fruit. For her second item, she got the Aquaponic Farm Leaves w/Purple Radish & Cherry Vinaigrette. Round 6: My friend was too full, but I wanted to make sure I got my money's worth, so I ordered a third scallop, a second lamb chop, and my friend squeezed in one last order of glazed salmon for me. We were both stuffed by the time our last half an hour and the dessert tower was served. It's okay because none of the desserts were that appealing to me. I mean, there was no chocolate dessert. How can you not have any chocolate option? Dessert aside, our brunch was outstanding. Yes, there were two items I wasn't fond of, but everything else was delicious and high quality. Service was excellent and we definitely got our money's worth. Don't be naive. Navio is in the Ritz-Carlton, so in addition to the $199, tax, and tip, you should also know there is a $50 valet fee. Each of us walked away paying $300, but we'd do it again and you should too.

Yelp
I treated my bf to Navio's Sunday brunch for his birthday and they did not disappoint!! Once we checked in for our reservation, the hostess seated us right away next to a huge window (per our request) and the view was divine! We were then immediately greeted by our server who handed us a glass of bubbly to start things off. For those who don't know, their brunch is a 2 hour, all you can eat experience unlike any other you've ever been to. All the dishes were made to order and the quality was impeccable. Our favorites were the seared scallop in a truffle polenta and chive oil, the caviar tasting and the lobster in a beurre blanc sauce garnished with some smoked trout caviar. Everything was cooked to perfection. The scallop and lobster were so sweet. They were definitely a repeat order. While everything was superb, the only dish we had an issue with was the pasta. For some reason it smelled and tasted like bleached dish soap. We let our server know and she offered to replace it but we declined. The memory was just too off putting. We wondered if it was the food or the plate. Regardless of the pasta, the meal was a dream and we will definitely be going again.

Yelp
My partner and I got violently sick after the weekend Thanksgiving brunch on Dec 1. Do not recommend until they take safety standards more seriously. The bare minimum for any restaurant is that the food is safely handled.

Yelp
A friend and I had a late brunch here recently and it totally beat my expectations. So much yummy food with only a few missteps. The weekend buffet at Navio is definitely an indulgence at $199 per person but its worth it. Youare allowed to order two items at a time during the 1 1/2 hour savory portion of the meal, the 30 minutes for dessert. Gabby and Pedro were great servers and took good care of us. Round 1: I started with the Blue Prawns w/Cocktail Sauce & the Wagyu Beef Slider with Shiitake Mushrooms, Smoked Pork Belly, and Black Garlic Aioli. The slider was my favorite item of the whole meal. So tasty - great bacon and mushrooms on it. The prawns were nicely cooked and had good flavor. Round 2: I had the Scallop and a Chocolate Chip Pancake w/Banana, Maple Syrup, & Whipped Cream. I had told the waiter I need to watch my dairy intake so he brought the pancake without the frosting on top. I really liked that. Later on, I had the pancakes again with the frosting and did not really like it. Scallop was perfectly cooked. Round 3: I had the Heirloom Tomato w/Nectarine & Roasted Sesame Vinaigrette and the Beef Tenderloin w/Port Wine Reduction. The salad was one misstep. There were so many untoasted sesame seeds on the salad, it ruined the flavor of the salad. All I could taste was sesame seeds. The beef tenderloin was delicious. Beautifully cooked, very tender, so tasty. Round 4: I got my second round of pancakes. This time they gave me two of the mini pancakes w/crunchy spheres of chocolate, a slice of banana, whipped cream, and syrup. As I said previously, I did not like the frosting on top. My second item was the Belgian Waffles. These were tasty and I liked the fruit on top. Round 5: I had the Marin County Cheese Tasting w/fig jelly and dried fruit. For my second item, she got the Aquaponic Farm Leaves w/Purple Radish & Cherry Vinaigrette. Both dishes were super yummy. Loved the different cheese options they gave me. My friend and I were both stuffed by the time our last half an hour and the dessert tower was served. I ate a couple of the desserts and took the rest home. Service was excellent and we definitely got our money's worth. Note that you also have to pay a $50 valet fee. But its worth it. Read less

Yelp
I saw this on youtube from one of the vloggers I follow. It looked amazing so I knew we had to try it. It is inside the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. They server a special brunch buffet on Sundays. You have to get a reservation. It isn't a regular buffet. They have a Michelin star so I really wanted to try it. You sit down and they bring you two items at a time with a 2 hour time limit. I made reservations for 11AM right when they opened. The place is to the right of the main restaurant. It is sperated into two dining areas. I think you could do a al la cart brunch on the other side. The furthest dining room is for the special buffet. We were seated in the last table in the back next to the window. It was a great view. Our server was Dante who has been working here over 20 years the other lady said. He was very nice. He came over and explained the buffet. He gave us menus and we started looking it over to see what we wanted. He brought out mimosas . My wife had a non alcoholic one since she doesn't drink. It was pretty good. So there were 19 items and 4 desserts. By the time we were done we ate all but four of the items. They were so delicious and yummy. At least most of them. I didn't care for the Scallop but I don't really like scallops. The wagyu slider was really salty and just ok. The glazed salmon was over cooked and thus not for me. My favorites were, in real order : caviar tasting. I really liked the trout eggs (orange) they gave a pop of flavor when you bit into them. I got these twice. Flavored oysters, were really unique. The foam was different but the wasabi cream was really good. Smoked salmon was so tasty and flavorful. Loved the Belgian waffle, it was so yummy and the fruit was nice. The benedict with the crab was really nice . Crab so fresh. The rigatoni carbonara was really good but I think we should of shared this one to save space in the tum tum. So we could eat more. I loved the rack of lamb. Cooked so well. And lets not forget the vegetable. We wanted a break from all the seafood and meat and wow. The grilled seasons vegetables were really amazing. The desserts were just ok. I think I liked the black Forrest the best. Oh I forgot they gave us an Anniversary desert which was a mango mousse thingy. Yummy. This brunch was so special and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was fun and Dante and the staff were so amazing. I really recommend this place to try.

Yelp
On our way to enjoy this grandiose feast filled with different culinary cuisines. Soon! Got to get the right reservation and timing! Always booked and busy! I've heard great things about and I'm ready!

Yelp
Venturing to Half Moon Bay, I embarked on the renowned two-hour brunch experience at Navio, nestled in the illustrious Ritz Carlton hotel. Valet parking is the sole option, priced at $70, or alternatively, one can opt for an Uber due to the absence of self-parking. Upon arrival, a warm host guided us to our seats, kickstarting the culinary journey with a complimentary mimosa - a delightful bubbly treat. Skipping the menu, the brunch featured a selection of appetizers and main entrees, allowing each person to order two items per round. The variety was extensive, ensuring a taste of everything before proceeding to the next rotation. I began with a cheese selection and a decent yet unremarkable caviar. The standout was a pumpkin soup with nuts, delivering warmth and comfort. Moving on to made-to-order main entrees, the lobster and scallop stole the show, albeit leaning towards the saltier side. The filet mignon with a sauce and lamb chop were satisfactory, with each serving being a delectable bite. After three rounds, satisfaction mingled with fullness. Dessert options were generously presented, and any unconquered delights could be conveniently packed for later. The impeccable service featured attentive waitstaff, consistently clearing plates, and ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Attentive servers that make you feel welcomed and guide you through your gourmet experience. Although AYCE, you can order a max of 2 items at a time. I worked my way down the menu and then still had time to go back to the dishes I enjoyed. The scallops, shrimp, and lobster were definitely a hit for me. Beef tenderloin and lamb were a little heavy on the salt, however, cooked perfectly. Sitting at an ocean view table enhanced the experience but the extra cost is a little steep. The non-ocean view spots could still see the ocean. Ambience is definitely upscale and proper but staff are super attentive and friendly. Definitely a nice way to spend a special occasion or indulge.

Yelp
Hmmm... We came here for a weekend getaway (without children!) with my mother-in-law for an anniversary + early mother's day celebratory dinner. First, the view itself is an experience. Sunset sets at 8 pm for us and that was impeccable. One side of the estate has wrap-around, unobstructed views of the ocean. The service was good. Nothing to complain about, nothing to write home about. Now the food. I'm sure the lunch and dinner is different so I only speak for the dinner experience: the food was okay. We went with the three-course selection (you're able to choose from three offerings per your appetizer, entree, and dessert). I would say from the offering that were available in early May 2023, the artichoke appetizer, cod entree was the best. Dessert you can go any way. Overall impression/memory was that it was salty. Still worth a visit for the jaw-dropping view. And I heard their brunch was better?

Chris H.

Yelp
When you first realize how much the AYCE brunch costs at Navio, your first thought is "How could this possibly be worth it?" However, after trying nearly all of their offerings, I can confidently say YES it's worth it - IF your order strategically. Upon first being seated, they will offer you a refreshing smoothie shot along with lovely looking bread and butter. Take the shot but the leave the bread and butter until the end, it's a trap! Instead, go straight to ordering as you only get two orders per person per round. The items we ordered were as follows (remember, you want to minimize carbs while maximizing the caviar and other pricey items). Flavored Oysters (4/5): The oysters themselves were fresh and sweet, personally I did not think they needed any toppings or flavoring as some of them were overwhelming. Blue Prawns (5/5): Quite possibly some of the largest, juiciest prawns I have ever eaten. This is served shrimp cocktail style which really help-ed highlight their natural flavor. Caviar (4/5): This would have been a perfect dish had they just included the sturgeon caviar instead of the other fish roe, but understandably that would've been too costly for the restaurant. Grilled Scallop (6/5): No seriously, this was easily the best dish - it would have been worth it had we just ordered this. The scallop is massive, perfectly grilled on one side, and juicy on the inside. It sat on a luxurious bed of creamed polenta that was dressed with truffle oil. This dish alone could have cost $30 alone at a restaurant. Lobster (5/5): Another hit that I just kept on ordering. The lobster is delicate, not overcooked, and paired well with the beurre blanc sauce and smoked trout caviar with just a hint of natural sweetness! Rack of Lamb (4/5): A bit on the fattier side which I like, but understandably isn't for everyone. The lamb rack was perfectly cooked like everything else and was served with mint which helped cut some of the fattiness. Filet Mignon (4/5): I would have preferred the preparation to be a bit more medium rare, but the filet remained so tender that it could be pulled apart with a fork! I'm sure they take doneness requests as well! The service here is amazing and all the wait staff were incredibly friendly. The 100th dish (yes we ordered that much), tasted just as good as the 1st and not once did they rush us - in fact our waiter even reminded us that we only needed a few more dishes to break the record :) We will definitely be back and hungrier than ever before!

Yelp
I like buffets. AYCE makes me happy. This is probably one of the fanciest brunch and AYCE places you can find. It isn't a traditional buffet style where you get your own food. You get 2 hours to order off their set menu where everything is freshly prepared to order. Some of the notable items include, caviar, scallops, prawns, beef tenderloin, lobster, and lamb chops. My favorites were definitely the prawns and scallops. When they say prawns - they mean prawns. Each prawn was the size of half my fist and took me 3 bites to finish. They were the plumpest, juicest, snappiest shellfish I've had. The star of the show has to be the scallops. I got 6 of them. Each scallop had a nice sear on the outside, while firm and succulent on the inside. It's complimented over super creamy truffle polenta. Can eat 20 of these. Is it worth the 200 price tag? I would easily come for a special occasion especially with the ocean views. Although you can only order 2 dishes per person each time, the food comes out relatively quick. I was able to order about 10 rounds and 22 dishes plus a dessert tower at the end. Worth.

Yeonhwa S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and amazing service! Be ready to go home stuffed with fancy, delicate course meals. We had a big group so we got to sit in a private room which was extra nice. We had a great view of the ocean while it got dark. Only thing that got me was that they asked what tea we wanted with dessert but then charged us quite a bit extra for each glass.

Hannah S.

Yelp
We came here for the Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! Super delicious and worth the trip! The service was great and the view was amazing! Complimentary mimosas, delicious warm bread, spectacular coffee and menu options were fantastic! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This brunch spot offers stunning ocean views and a fantastic seafood-focused menu. The smoked salmon eggs benedict was a highlight. Packed with flavor and the hollandaise was perfect. Don't miss their signature brunch cocktail--it's a perfect pairing! With attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere, this place is a must try for any seafood lover. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Lets start with the end in mind. The universe must love you to take you to this place and put enough money in your pocket to afford it. The meal was $150+$30 tip+ $15 for tax+ $75 (per person) for wine+ $38 for valet (divided by 2 since two of us in the car) = $308. That is of course for one person. But the saga goes that a great thing surpasses the money you spent and only the memory of experience remains. This was a great experience. 1-Taste - 5+ Amazing, the steak was fantastic, the breads were great, etc. etc. 2-Presentation- 5+ the presentation was again amazing 3-Aroma- 5 4-Quality- 5+ 5-Quantity- 5 reasonable portion 6-Service- 5+ all foods came out at the same time, the staff was great, we had a sommelier who helped with the wine, etc. 7-Parking- 4 - had to valet 8-Atmosphere- 5 great views, quite, the tables and everything was very well through out 9-Wine/beers- 5+ they had an encyclopedia of wines - again money could not be a barrier, but they had reasonable wines 10-desert- 5 very nice deserts. They even had vegan ice cream. great presentation - see picture. 11-Selection- 5 it is a menu fix, but they also had a vegetarian menu and there was fish, rack of lamb or tenderloin. 12-Hors D'oeuvres (including salad)- 5+ they brought out a cheese dish with sourdough bread and then orange Brioche. Like I wrote earlier, the universe must love you to let you afford to eat at this place. 13-Value- 5+ again, very expensive, but a life experience. The views, the food, the whole package made it worth while. Need to have more special occasions at this place. I had business lunches and their brunches here, but had forgotten how good the place is. The trout side sauce was very good, the carpaccio had a dry ice mustard sauce that made it like Adam Family dinner.

Yelp
The opulent buffet pre-pandemic has now changed to an all-you-can-eat, dishes served tableside, experience. In addition to changing due to COVID-19, this new format works better for the hotel economics. The previous setup had an unbelievable display of cheeses, breads, hot dishes, raw bar, and cold cuts. But the staff told us that it wasn't sustainable: it took 5 days to prep and the restaurant was losing money each service. So here we are with this new format, so yes skip if you want the experience of a buffet. However, the dishes here are well done and delicious. Some better than others and you can get your money's worth ($200 for adults) if you eat strategically, order the next dishes when your first dishes arrive, and skip the fillers/carbs. The restaurant still has the great ocean views and friendly staff. Highlights for me were the scallops, trout, and beef tenderloin. The toppings on the oysters were okay: the wasabi cream was the standout while I'd skip the others. Caviar get it to make sure you get your money's worth, but note that only 1 of the 3 caviar is sturgeon. The wagyu slider was decadent, but lacked the salt/umami. It's also quite rich, so eating one of those may set you back a bit. Lamb chops were cooked well but slightly under seasoned. Note that hot coffee/tea/water (yes, water) is extra, along with the other fun bevies.

Yelp
Navio has been on my bucket list for over the past year and I've been following the chefs work via instagram and always admire their work. As true magic is created by using various ingredients to create magic. Honestly, I always joke around that chefs are the real wizards in this world. As they skillfully do create real magic with their creations. A simple bite from a dish, can give you flashbacks of distant memory long forgotten. Navio was this moment for me.... Upon arriving, the hostess immediately welcomed me with a warm smile and was open to small talk. As she checked me in her questions felt genuine and not robotic or preprogrammed. I'd mentioned to her my excitement to be at Navio and was excited to try the chefs menu. Which isn't cheap folks, I had solo date night and cost was $345 including tip. I honestly saved up for this foodie journey and my god it was worth every penny. The hostess showed me to my ocean view table, but given that I was having dinner and it was storming outside, I'd ask the hostess to switch my seat to face the kitchen. As I wanted to be present in the moment and lowkey watch the kitchen operate....luckily a book was in the table which was honestly fun to read while the kitchen staff started casting their spells.... Each course came out prefectly and feel terrible for not recalling the names of each dish, but the winner for me was the slow cooked egg. Which is the 7th photo, first bite really casted a spell on me as immediately said out loud 'OMG!' Their was a slight sweetness to the dish and my palette and mind was flood with memories of a candy I loved from See's Candy. I can't recall which candy it is specifically , but the memories of having a box of See's candy around the house during the holidays came to mind...As it is tradition to start the holidays with lb of See's candy on the coffee table for everyone to enjoy. The spell was casted and each tasting brought back happy memories growing up. I literately licked the plate clean Each dish after came out prefectly and timed appropriately. As I got a chance to read a few pages from the book at the table. The real treat came at the end of the diner service as Chef Xisco invited me to meet the staff. Which gave me the opportunity to thank the staff for their magic and was truely cherry on top of the night. Is the cost with it...HELL YA! I truely thank the staff for ending the year prefectly for me and looking forward to visiting again...keep casting those spells chefs!

Yelp
I'm speechless. I heard they changed the format for the buffet at Navio. I actually LOVE this new format. It's literally fine dining buffet style. Every single dish is great! You have your choice to your hearts desire. They even have caviar and truffle! What?? Endless caviar? I'm sold! It is so worth it! Pro tip: make sure to order your next dishes before you even eat the dish you have This is if you want to make to through these entire menu. Definitely definitely worth it!!

Yelp
My wife and I made our reservations at Navio before booking our weekend at the hotel. We weren't going to stay the weekend without ensuring we'd be able to have brunch here. This place has been reviewed all over social media and we had super high expectations. We were not disappointed at all. The wait staff were both friendly and attentive. Plenty of spacing between tables, and a spectacular view of the ocean. There's a two-hour window for brunch and can order two items at a time (per person). As dishes were brought, we ordered our next selection. Not sure if a single person can order every item, but between my wife and me, we were able to taste all the offerings! The highlights: Raw Oysters (5/5 stars): Each of the 3 oysters had a unique topping, and all were fantastic and platted beautifully. Seared Scallops (5/5): Perfectly seared and flavored. Ordered this multiple times! Rigatoni Carbonara (5/5): We ordered with little expectations, and were pleasantly surprised by the rich and savory taste. Lobster (5/5): Naturally flavorful and prepared perfectly to ensure fantastic taste and tenderness. Glazed Salmon (4/5): Nicely prepared and a delicate glaze that doesn't over power the fish. Lamb Rack (3/5): Good quality, nicely charred, but a bit too salty. Hopefully just a one-off occurrence. Beef tenderloin (3/5): Good quality and very tender. Not enough sauce. Beef tenderloin is generally a bit bland and really needs that extra flavoring. Wagyu Sliders (2/5): With a slice of pork belly, how can this go wrong? The beef was overcooked (super well done). Hopefully just a one-off occurrence. Some notes on reservations: This is handled by Tock and required a $50 deposit per person and a $2.50 fee. The deposit is not deducted from your bill. Instead, the entire amount (deposit and fee) is returned to the credit card once you check in for your reservation. I got an email notification during our brunch. A thought on dessert: The dessert tower is quite delicious! However, you may not have enough room to finish them. The restaurant can have them packaged for you to take away. Very thoughtful of them!

Yelp
Worth. Every. Single. Penny. The brunch is spectacular, there's really no other way to explain it. Food, service, ambience and views. Yes, it's not inexpensive, but they could realistically charge more for the level of quality provided. Is this the best brunch in California? Entirely possible, and I'd like to have a debate about anything else that might be in contention.

Aiza C.

Yelp
Super yummy!! everything was great!! the service is good as well. The vibes are amazing! The food was amazing!

Yelp
I visited the Ritz Carlton twenty years ago for a friend's wedding reception and remembered how tender and amazing the sea bass was along with the spectacular views of the California coast and nearby golf course. Surprisingly, my wife picked Navio for a birthday celebration and we came back here so many years later. Their AYCE brunch is very unique in that it's not self-service but rather you continuous order 2 items at a time for each guest for 1 1/2 hours and then have 30 minutes at the end for a dessert tower. The quality of food is definitely a huge step above a regular brunch. Before coming here, I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the menu so you can order two more items while eating the items that already arrived. The menu changes seasonally too. Bread 3/5 - colorful but just regular bread (skip) Oyster 5/5 - three different sauces and sweet. Really good. Shrimp 4/5 - gigantic shrimp with sweet cocktail sauce. Good! Tenderloin 4/5 - delicious sauce and cream. The meat itself was ok. I prefer ribeye, prime rib, or Japanese wagyu so oh well Roasted Vegetables 4/5 - Decent but I wouldn't get more than one order. Nice for sharing. Scallop 5/5 - very tender and nicely caramelized Caviar 3/5 - yeah it's caviar but they do provide some caviar on top of other items too (smoked salmon and lobster) Smoked salmon 3/5 - it's alright Lobster 6/5 - omg I could keep eating this forever. Half Moon Bay Benedict 5/5 - so creamy and delicious Beet risotto 3/5 - good risotto but personally didn't like blue cheese as much Rigatoni 3/5 - done well but nothing spectacular. Glazed salmon 3/5 - nothing special Rack of lamb 4/5 - tender and meat wise better than tenderloin but a bit salty Wagyu Slider 2/5 - meat is dry even when we asked for medium rare. I'd skip it next time. Tomato soup 2/5 - Panera is better Cheese board 3/5 - nothing special Aquaponic farm leaves 4/5 - very fresh and good for sharing Belgium waffles 5/5 - fluffy and right amount of sweetness with berries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream... but I'd just get one Chocolate pancakes 4/5 - decent but I'd just get one also Overall, the seafood items shine the most... lobster, oyster, crab benedict, and shrimp. If you're able to skip eating until later in the day, might be worthwhile to come at a later seating (1 pm) so it's less crowded and have a better chance at a window table along with faster service.

Yelp
The Navio brunch is one of the best brunch buffets in the Bay Area! It's on the pricier side but it's definitely worth it for the high class experience and the amazing food. Each dish is individually plated and you order a la carte, so it doesn't feel like a regular buffet experience and more like a fine dining one. Definitely focus on the seafood dishes when you're here. The meat dishes are alright but I found that a lot of their beef dishes were pretty dry. The seafood, on the other hand, is fresh and sweet with different sauces and flavors complementing it. Some of my favorite dishes were the Alaskan King Crab Legs, the Mount Lassen Trout, the Pan Seared Scallop, and the Black Bass. The menu rotates pretty frequently depending on holidays and seasons but if you find any of those dishes, make sure to try them! I've never been here for dinner service so I can't speak towards that, but if you're in the area and want a fantastic brunch, I highly recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
As a long-time customer of Ritz in Half Moon Bay, I was very excited to go to Sunday brunch buffet today since I haven't had their Sunday brunch since Covid started. I have to say I was quite disappointed. We got there 10 minutes before our reservation time. I checked in with the hostess. She told me to wait until 1:45 which was my reservation. Fine, so I waited outside, Even though the restaurant was empty. 10 mins AFTER my reservation time, no one came by and acknowledged me. So I had to find another hostess to remind her that I am still waiting for my table. Eventually the original girl (long hair) came back and took me to the table. While waking to the table, she said" You should have checked in again at 145" Even Though I was literally sitting right outside where she saw me, I even made eye contact with her several times. I couldn't believe her customer service at the Ritz. Fine, we got to the table, and saw the new menu. Oh boy, was I disappointed, Not only the selection of the buffet brunch is so limited now, I can only order two items at a time, I couldn't order until i finished the current course. (Remember this is Ritz, everything comes in a tiny portion) . Long story short, I was not happy with the food selection at all. Can you believe there are only 5 desserts to choose from? Consider I am paying $260 (with tax and tip) pp! It doesn't even come with sparkling water or coffee/ tea anymore. This was all included before Covid! This is clearly not up the Ritz standard I am used to. I have stayed at this hotel before, and went to the Sunday brunch many times before covid... Don't get me wrong, the dishes were excellent. The seafood was fresh, the service was great. I gave 20 % tip to reflected my appreciation. So here's my verdict, for a buffet at this price, it's not worth it. I am a big foodie when it comes to high end cuisine, and I am not recommending it. Save your money and go somewhere else if you looking for varieties from a high end buffet
