Oise Ristorante is absolutely incredible and I have to say I am completely blown away by this dining experience. The food is tantalizing and orgasmic, the vibe is laidback, and the service is superb. The execution, the thoughtfulness, and the attunement to Miami diners is extraordinary. Oise Ristorante in one menu and in one concept has literally solved 99% of the world's dining out problems. It's not too big, it's not too small, you don't have to be dressed to the nines, it's not astronomically priced, and there is literally something on this menu for everyone. From the most pretentious and refined eater that needs to be impressed to that adult that still only eats food items listed on a children's menu, you are covered and the food quality is exceptional from the Japanese imported raw fish to the meatball. The fact that you no longer have to choose between Japanese and Italian when dining out because you can literally have both at the same time phenomenally executed is just evolutionary - its mind-blowing.
The second I saw "Brad Kilgore, Japanese, Italian, and Pop Up", say no more, I was running out the door to arrive at 5:30 PM on Thursday for the opening. I was immediately greeted by co-owner and restaurateur, Andrew Mayer, the most down to earth and hospitable food enthusiast. He guided us through the menu and created our food journey and experience and paired it with the perfect sake. Many of our dishes were served by Chef Brad Kilgore himself. Every dish I ate at Oise Ristorante truly created such a memorable and unique experience which just further proves that Chef Brad Kilgore is one of the most talented chefs' in Miami.
The Miami food scene has truly boomed over the last several years, so have the prices, and the service, well it's still "Miami". Oise Ristorante - problem solved. You will be seated right away, given a menu, you will place your own order on your phone by using a QR code at the table and your food will arrive timely via a friendly food runner. No more wondering where your server is from the second you sit down until you pay the bill. You order on your own terms and exit on them as well. In between you are waited on by attentive food runners who will ensure you have everything you need as you devour some of the most delicious dishes you will have ever eaten in your lifetime.
WHAT TO ORDER:
Japanese AND Italian, at the same time, because you can, and both are exceptionally executed.
The progression of dishes we had truly took you on a journey though the minds of the creators. It was this beautiful paradox that just left you in complete awe and bliss from dish to dish.
Course 1: Kanpachi Sashimi
The plate is colorful and stunning with flavors to match. From the edible flowers to the perfect balance of flavors in each bite, it was such a vibrant way to begin the meal and evoke the palate.
Course 2: OISE Nigiri Platter
Each piece of nigiri is so perfectly executed and has its own personality. The quality of the fish is phenomenal. The toro, is the best toro I've ever had in my life. The marbling of the fat is gorgeous and the creaminess and oils of the fish will leave your mouth in complete and utter bliss.
Course 3: Caramelized Meatball
Let me just start off by saying that taking a bite of a the most delicious meatball I have ever had that melts in your mouth after eating the best toro is euphoric. This is the exact moment where I realized how brilliant and exciting this menu is. The umami flavors of this dish with the acidity and the creaminess of this meatball just left me in utter bliss from bite to bite. Oise Red Miso Tomato Sauce must be bottled and sold.
Course 4: Truffle Udon Carbonara
The creaminess with the umami notes with the saltiness from the pork drenched over the perfect noodle, your eyes will literally roll into the back of your head as you are in state a pure bliss. It's heaven on a plate. I was speechless and remained in a state of euphoria until there was nothing left in the bowl.
Course 5: Kakigori
This dessert will just blow your mind. The texture combination of the shaved ice atop creamy whipped cream and the perfect gelato with a sparkle of star sprinkles nostalgia on top is everything. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal.
Oise Ristorante is exceptional. It is also a pop-up so be sure to plan your blissful foodie experience before it's too late. This is one of best meals I have had in Miami in a very long time where truly from one dish to the next they were sheer bliss and euphoric. I will be back to try the rest of the menu soon. I am just salivating thinking about the pure deliciousness.
