Oise Ristorante - Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Oishe comes from the team behind Mr. Omakase (who are very good at sushi) and MaryGold's (who are really good at pasta). The menu here tries to combine both those strengths in the form of Itameshi, a term for Japanese and Italian fusion. Menu highlights include a pretty exceptional meatball blanketed with a foamy fondue espuma that sits on red miso-tomato sauce. The Italian sausage gyoza comes with a pepperoni dashi that does, indeed, have a subtle pepperoni flavor. Udon noodles are made into the shape of pappardelle for the truffle udon carbonara, which is great if you don’t mind the flavor of truffle. The menu does take leaps that don’t stick the landing—the nigiri doesn’t really benefit from its Italian accessories like basil oil. But enough dishes pass the Itameshi assignment to make for a unique, enjoyable dinner. This place is inside The Oasis, next to its sister restaurant Miss Crispy Rice. It’s more formal than the other vendors inside The Oasis, but you still order off your phone and sit in a shared space that feels like a mini food hall, so expect a fairly casual experience." - Ryan Pfeffer

Oise By Brad Kilgore Opens in Wynwood - Eater Miami

"James Beard nominee and finalist Brad Kilgore has teamed up with Andrew Mayer of OG hospitality to bring Miami a mash-up of flavors it hasn’t exactly seen before at their new Wynwood pop-up, Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore. Dubbed ‘itameshi’ cuisine, it blends traditional Italian and Japanese cuisine elements to develop umami-filled dishes." - Olee Fowler

I can't wait to return to Oise—it's now one of my top two favorite restaurants in Miami, the other being Miss Crispy Rice. I made a reservation because Resy had a promotion while I was in town. My hostess, Alexis, was super nice and explained every dish perfectly. The restaurant shares its space with Miss Crispy Rice, and the chef, Barbara, is amazing—she even gave me a few complimentary rice pieces! I started with the Itameshe pizza, broccoli rabe, golden potatoes, and the highlight of the meal, the caramelized meatball. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Make sure to try the kakigori desert! The vibe inside is also fantastic, with a well-curated playlist that adds to the atmosphere without being too loud. I highly recommend Oise and will definitely be coming back!

We heard a lot of buzz about this restaurant around town because of the amazing chefs! I’m getting there we love the warm, hosting atmosphere, as they set us down and explained the best dishes to us and great detail. We patched together a few courses of food, and had a quick discussion with the chef as he had a moment to speak with us, Alex. He was a great guy, was able to break down each dish describing the intricacies of the ingredients and how they interacted with each other, as well as the flavor palette that we could expect. It’s like he painted us a picture in our heads of what to expect with each course.the meal ended with an amazing dessert. Probably going to come back very soon and definitely going to come back within the next few months regardless. 11 out of 10 would recommend. This is like a foodie paradise!

Google
Incredible unique flavors. We ordered almost every dish and each was better than the next. Top three mains were the Udon Noodles, Chicken Parm Katsu, and the meatball. The tuna and scallop nigiri were off the charts to start the meal.

Google
A fantastic little spot perfect for date night. This Italian and Japanese fusion spot features contactless ordering with an attention to detail that is hard to match. The caramelized meatball is crazy good and a must try! Looks like Wynwood has a new shinning foodie must visit.

Google
Agreed with the other 3 star review by Kai. It was in a hidden location in the back and it was part of a food hall, where there were other things like Poke and a bar. We had to order from our phones as we were told there are no servers. There was one guy who helped explain the menu and bring our food/drinks. As a Japanese person, the food was just okay, but didn’t really feel like it was worth it. The katsu sando was pretty much just a chicken parm in toast, and while it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t up to expectations especially for the price. The pasta was pretty good imo but others at the table had mixed opinions. There are many other good restaurants to try if you’re visiting Miami, but if you’re a local it may be worth trying. I think they raised the prices with the justification that it’s “Japanese”and “Italian”. Clearly other people thought this was amazing based on the reviews so take this review with a grain of salt.

Google
Every single dish- (and we tried many!) was delectable! So good. What a perfect melding of these cuisines. I was skeptical on the front end about how this would taste- but I was pleasantly surprised.

Google
Hand-down, the best local spot in Miami! Hidden in the oasis of Wynwood this menu created by one of the best chefs in Miami Brad Kilgore enthusing Japanese ingredients in Italian cuisine. It’s a casual dining spot that has extremely high-end products from their sake to their Sushi, to all their Italian pastas and ingredients. The place is super chill they play hip-hop you can go in shorts or in a suit. The sake selection is a quarter of the price you find the most high-end Japanese restaurants. The meatball is definitely the MVP here done with three types of meat, including Wagyu and pepperoni served in a 4to 5 cheese melted fondue on top. The thing is ridiculous. I also love the truffle udon carbonara. My wife loved the fettuccine pasta, the truffle parmesan in the golden potatoes, en brodo everything was extremely fresh. Even the Negiri sushi. as fish straight from from Japan like Japanese red snapper, scallop and Toro! They guided us on their ordering system an coursed everything beautifully. Come try this place!

Yelp
I had a great experience here from beginning to end. Since I learned about the itameshi concept I've been looking for an opportunity to try it, and I was looking forward to come back to the Miami area to stop by. I had been to Ms.Crispy Rice several times with my family and we love it. So, for my birthday we came here.. and it was great! We started with the ONE nigiri, followed by the handroll, the meatball and the carbonara. Everything was great. We tried the two deserts for my birthday and they are both outstanding. I would say the ice cream was the most memorable for sure. Service was excellent. Almost as if our needs were anticipated, recommendations were right on, and we felt the staff cared that we were there and contributed to a better experience. The place is nice, it has a good atmosphere. I think it is appropriate for any ocasión, whether it's a birthday, a casual romantic night or a family outing. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This restaurant is very unique. Pros : very good quality, amazing flavors, great wine , good service, great chefs ! Cons: it shares space with 2 other restaurants, in a cafeteria like setting. It was also very hard to find because it's in the back of stores that sit on the street. Our Uber dropped us off about 2 blocks away. I felt unsafe walking around trying to find it! If you're a true foodie, it's worth it because the flavors and unique blends of Italian + Japanese flavors will keep your taste buds tingling with delight !

Yelp
Oise Ristorante is absolutely incredible and I have to say I am completely blown away by this dining experience. The food is tantalizing and orgasmic, the vibe is laidback, and the service is superb. The execution, the thoughtfulness, and the attunement to Miami diners is extraordinary. Oise Ristorante in one menu and in one concept has literally solved 99% of the world's dining out problems. It's not too big, it's not too small, you don't have to be dressed to the nines, it's not astronomically priced, and there is literally something on this menu for everyone. From the most pretentious and refined eater that needs to be impressed to that adult that still only eats food items listed on a children's menu, you are covered and the food quality is exceptional from the Japanese imported raw fish to the meatball. The fact that you no longer have to choose between Japanese and Italian when dining out because you can literally have both at the same time phenomenally executed is just evolutionary - its mind-blowing. The second I saw "Brad Kilgore, Japanese, Italian, and Pop Up", say no more, I was running out the door to arrive at 5:30 PM on Thursday for the opening. I was immediately greeted by co-owner and restaurateur, Andrew Mayer, the most down to earth and hospitable food enthusiast. He guided us through the menu and created our food journey and experience and paired it with the perfect sake. Many of our dishes were served by Chef Brad Kilgore himself. Every dish I ate at Oise Ristorante truly created such a memorable and unique experience which just further proves that Chef Brad Kilgore is one of the most talented chefs' in Miami. The Miami food scene has truly boomed over the last several years, so have the prices, and the service, well it's still "Miami". Oise Ristorante - problem solved. You will be seated right away, given a menu, you will place your own order on your phone by using a QR code at the table and your food will arrive timely via a friendly food runner. No more wondering where your server is from the second you sit down until you pay the bill. You order on your own terms and exit on them as well. In between you are waited on by attentive food runners who will ensure you have everything you need as you devour some of the most delicious dishes you will have ever eaten in your lifetime. WHAT TO ORDER: Japanese AND Italian, at the same time, because you can, and both are exceptionally executed. The progression of dishes we had truly took you on a journey though the minds of the creators. It was this beautiful paradox that just left you in complete awe and bliss from dish to dish. Course 1: Kanpachi Sashimi The plate is colorful and stunning with flavors to match. From the edible flowers to the perfect balance of flavors in each bite, it was such a vibrant way to begin the meal and evoke the palate. Course 2: OISE Nigiri Platter Each piece of nigiri is so perfectly executed and has its own personality. The quality of the fish is phenomenal. The toro, is the best toro I've ever had in my life. The marbling of the fat is gorgeous and the creaminess and oils of the fish will leave your mouth in complete and utter bliss. Course 3: Caramelized Meatball Let me just start off by saying that taking a bite of a the most delicious meatball I have ever had that melts in your mouth after eating the best toro is euphoric. This is the exact moment where I realized how brilliant and exciting this menu is. The umami flavors of this dish with the acidity and the creaminess of this meatball just left me in utter bliss from bite to bite. Oise Red Miso Tomato Sauce must be bottled and sold. Course 4: Truffle Udon Carbonara The creaminess with the umami notes with the saltiness from the pork drenched over the perfect noodle, your eyes will literally roll into the back of your head as you are in state a pure bliss. It's heaven on a plate. I was speechless and remained in a state of euphoria until there was nothing left in the bowl. Course 5: Kakigori This dessert will just blow your mind. The texture combination of the shaved ice atop creamy whipped cream and the perfect gelato with a sparkle of star sprinkles nostalgia on top is everything. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. Oise Ristorante is exceptional. It is also a pop-up so be sure to plan your blissful foodie experience before it's too late. This is one of best meals I have had in Miami in a very long time where truly from one dish to the next they were sheer bliss and euphoric. I will be back to try the rest of the menu soon. I am just salivating thinking about the pure deliciousness.

Yelp
I little difficult to find but the food was creative and excellent. It is basically a food hall so not fine dining - but the creativity and flavors make up for the casual feel.

Yelp
Came here for my employee party with the staff , let me start by telling you the service was amazing , quick ,coordinated & very polite . Every dish was truly spectacular each dish was something unique from the chicken parm Sando's to the dumplings and broccolini my favorite dish would have to be the carbonara incredible. Yelp
Great fusion restaurant (Italian x Japanese). The restaurant is tiny -- shared space with two other restaurants. You place your order on your phone and then the food is delivered to your table. Some of the dishes are overpriced, but the food was great. I recommend the Tuna Nigiri, Chicken Parm Katsu Sando and Truffle Udon Carbonara. I will be back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Cute little place hidden in The Oasis in Midtown. The service was very good, giving us some excellent suggestions. Everything we had was delicious, combining Japanese and Italian dishes to create some interesting flavors. The truffle pasta and burrata were amazing.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dining experience at Oise last night. Each food dish we tried was phenomenal. Some of the best food I've had in Miami. The service was friendly and helpful. The only thing I'd recommend is to immediately serve the table with water (something all Miami restaurants could take a note on). I was really parched and there was a long dialogue / wait before we were finally served. That said, this is one of our new favorite restaurants and we are already planning to come back with friends. Thank you for the lovely dinner!

Yelp
I was taken aback by how mesmerizing the food was, never expected it to be this good. My first encounter with Japanese/Italian fusion cuisine was in Rome, Italy about 3 months ago so when I heard about this new restaurant my instinct was to go and try it. Not a huge menu but everything was great. Started with the Brad Kilgore Handroll (pork belly melted in my mouth), Gyoza en Brodo (interesting piece since its stuffed with Italian sausage instead and sitting in a broth), Cameralized Meatball (the meatball is good but just a meatball...the star of this plate is the "fondue espuma", which is a foam layer made of parmigiani-riggiano cheese), Truffle Udon Carbonara (great interesting combination of flavors but we were too full by then so didn't enjoy it as much as the rest). To close it off, we got the Kakigori dessert which was so flavorful and refreshing. If you like tart and something different then this dessert is for you. Service was amazing, they explained every dish as it was brought to the table.

Yelp
If you haven't been here yet RUN- don't walk! I know this is a very aggressive statement but I think this is my favorite Brad Kilgore concept yet!!!! Perfect blend and balance of dishes that you could never dream of having a Japanese/Italian mashup! Stat with the Japanese traditional Tuna Nigiri and dip it with the special Chef Brad ponzu with the crispy garlic. I am glad my dad and my aunt don't read my Yelo review because their life mission is to make the perfect meatball and OISE definitely has them beat with the dreamiest, fluffy and delicious Caramelized Meatbal. It's not super dense or super heavy I promise!! Even if you're not a meatball lover, I promise you will love this meatball!! The next favorite dish is the Truffle Udon Carbonara. Absolutely brilliant dish and nothing like you have ever had before. Mind blowing. Obviously the the Cacio e Pepe Breadsticks by Pizza Freak Co is special! The peppercorn miso Alfredo dipping sauce is unreal. And last but not least, for dessert you must save room for the dark cherry Kakigori with pistachio gelato! If you can't tell, I CANNOT WAIT to go back. Make reservations now. They are open on weekends only and as word gets out this place will be slammed.

Christina B.

Yelp
Fantastic and sooooooo unique! Already dreaming about my return and the delicious meatball!
