The Best Restaurants in Little Havana | Eater Miami

"Palma offers a unique dining experience with a rotating nine-course tasting menu that rings in at an unheard-of (in Miami, at least) $85. Miami-born chef Juan Camilo Liscano’s attention to detail is evident in the meticulously prepared dishes that change monthly, such as a Colombian-inspired arepa de choclo with uni, caramelized onion, and egg yolk jam; a grilled fish with caramelized porcini sauce, jambon de Bayonne, espelette XO sauce, and asparagus; and anything-but-average ice cream sandwich made with 10-year aged port ice cream, sourdough miso and white chocolate cookies, puffed buckwheat, and maple syrup. Wine can be paired or ordered by the glass or bottle. The restaurant itself is tiny, beautiful, and charming, and often hosts pop-up collabs on Sundays, like a recent neo-bistro concept with Coral Gables bakery and cafe Façade." - Allison Ramirez

Hot Restaurant Trends in Florida

"Dressed head to toe in concrete and lit with candles, this narrow room in Little Havana is out to make a mark. The staff totals fewer than five, including Chef Juan Camilo Liscano (who received the Young Chef Award at the 2025 Florida MICHELIN Guide Ceremony) and his sous who cook, plate, and clear with impressive efficiency. The lean team, however, turns out a stylish and agreeably priced tasting menu that changes with great frequency. Grilled baby corn brushed in burnt eggplant aioli and wrapped in aged sirloin is a thrilling start, followed by delicately steamed flounder enrobed in a smooth sabayon made of mussels. Brioche made with roasted plantains is the only staple, and what a staple it is. Beautifully shaped, nicely crusted, and served hot with caramelized coconut butter, it is impossible to resist." - Nancy DePalma

12 Dimly Lit Restaurants For A Sexy Little Night Out - Miami - The Infatuation

"A tasting menu is usually the fastest way to turn a promising sexy night out into one filled with regret and Pepto Bismol. But not at Palma. This tasting-menu restaurant in Little Havana has all the things you need to set the mood: long taper candles in wine bottles flickering against smooth, bare walls, a quiet playlist that won’t force you to shout compliments between songs, and a dining room so dark you’ll feel like you’re in a cement cave (a sexy one). The seven to eight courses of light, seasonal dishes won’t ruin your tummy or the Settlers Of Catan game you’ve got scheduled tonight." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

38 Best Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"With a seven-course tasting menu priced at just $85, Palma offers an elevated dining experience that’s still affordable inside a pretty little hole-in-the-wall next to a bodega in Little Havana. Expect bite-size delicacies, such as a grilled oyster with Jimmy Nardello peppers or a melt-in-your-mouth Iberico pork presa with white asparagus and a roasted peanut sauce. Leave a little space for the sweet plantain brioche with coconut caramel and dried plantain leaf butter, which arrives about halfway through the meal. Desserts will take you through seven courses, featuring kiwi pate, kouign amann, and more." - Allison Ramirez

Juan Camilo Liscano of Palma is The MICHELIN Guide Florida 2025 Young Chef Award Winner

"Rooted in minimalism and what’s freshest from French Farms, this simple Little Havana space turns out attractive, creative plates with ambition and care, chosen specifically for its proximity to every major neighborhood in Miami. The menu shifts monthly to catch each ingredient at its peak, often guided by seasonal lists from Chris at French Farms. Waste is kept to a minimum—trimmings become sauces and juicing solids are fermented and cooked down—and the cooking skews light, with eclectic combinations that just work. A favorite constant is Bouquet, a one‑bite handheld that showcases the farm’s herbs. The team operates with transparency and kindness, setting aside ego for a playful, thoughtful culture that cooks from love." - The MICHELIN Guide
