"Tree-lined Laurier Street East in the heart of the Plateau is full of independent shops, cafés, and restaurants—it’s a classic-looking Montreal neighborhood with winding outdoor staircases and a very French identity. For almost 15 years, Rhubarbe has been a destination for those nearby and coming from afar, with viennoiseries featuring local fruits and berries in the display cases. Mini-loaf cakes are a big draw here, alongside Basque cheesecake and pavlovas.
