I’d never been to a POMO before, but made it to this location for a friend’s bday dinner. The pizza was absolutely yummy! Crispy crust, great flavors, and lots of options to choose from + plenty of desserts too! I was pleasantly surprised to see they even serve ice cream in a cone, which is unique for a restaurant! But what really stood out was the incredible service. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and welcoming. The bartender and servers went above and beyond, especially when my husband asked if they could switch the TV to a specific baseball game. They were super accommodating and genuinely happy to help. Honestly, one of the best interactions we’ve had with restaurant staff in a long time. We’ll definitely be back! Great food, great vibes, and even better people. Nice job, POMO!

The restaurant was nicely decorated with a wine bar vibe inside and a office happy hour vibe at the outside bar area. We loved the pizza and pasta dishes very much. I was very surprised to see cocktail cost very high.. 18.00 vs beer and wine costs around 6-8 dollars. Ve carful when ordering as a pizza and drinks could add up over the course of the night.

This is a great Italian restaurant in Scottsdale. The pizzas were delicious. The kids loved the gelato options and adults loved the martini drinks. The coffee martini was especially very good. Definitely give it a try if you are around the area.

We love the prickly pear pizza! Thank you to Nico for bringing it back this year. Your pizza dough is the best. Don't ever change the recipe. We dine at Pomo frequently and have always had amazing food and service. And special kudos to Bartolo for keeping the restaurant looking great. He is ALWAYS busy. It does not go unnoticed.

My Italian friend recommended us this restaurant and it’s really good!!! I think I had the best meatball ever here. And the seasonal truffle pizza is amazing. Their spicy Oliver oil is so unique, I loved it too. Also, our server Shantal was super friendly and helpful. Wonderful place. We’ll definitely come again and bring more friends here!

If you did not know better, you would think you were in Italy! Authentic, delicious neapolitan pizza, and friendly attentive staff. This place never disappoints. Bar area, diningroom, and patio seating. If you are really in the Italian mood, they also serve up gelato, and it is done right!

We hired the Pomo team for our backyard wedding for 100 guests, and I truly cannot express what a fantastic experience we had. From our very first phone call with Shawna, to our tasting with Bianca, to the late night champage toast with the entire Pomo wedding staff on our wedding night, we were treated with so much genuine kindness, care, and attention to detail. Shawna is amazing at what she does, and strikes the perfect balance of "we've done this a million times before and know exactly what we're doing" and "your wedding is the most important wedding in the world!", which can be a hard thing to do as a vendor. Pricing was clear from the get-go, and did not change, expect for a few add-ons we did. The tasting we did was so helpful - all the food was brought out exactly the way it would be presented at the wedding. And on the wedding day, the food was phenomenal, our guests keep commenting on it. We hired their APE pizza oven - it was amazing. Pomo created a custom gelato flavor for us and made us a heart shaped tiramisu cutting cake. We're still eating leftover lasagna and tiramisu from our freezer :) The entire Pomo team truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process (including when we had a late night plumbing issue in the kitchen) & we are insanely grateful. Thank you!!

We've been here a few times and it doesn't disappoint! The food and ambiance is always fantastic. The outdoor patio is perfect when the weather is nice. The handmade pastas are insanely good. I love their strozzapreti salsiccia and my husband will always go for the gnocchi. We also really like the lasagna and the napoletana pizzas. There's conveniently a gelato spot in the same building, so if you need a little sweet treat after you get your fill of authentic Italian food, you don't have to go far!

Pomo is one of my favorite spots in Scottsdale. It's something about the design of the restaurant with the bar area. When you go, it's always busy and bustling. You can tell people are having a great time, and the energy is great. Then there's the food - the food is constantly great. I've always had great service too. If you have a chance to sit at the bar, you will see that they have great bartenders too. Pomo is always a solid choice, and everyone knows it which is why I highly recommend reservations even though it is a casual spot.

Pomo has hands down the best pizza and espresso martinis I've had in all of Scottsdale. Yes, that's a bold statement and yes that's the truth! I went into Pomo recently with my family and really enjoyed every part of it! The pizzas here are made fresh when you order. You even see them throw them in the oven with the open concept the restaurant has, which I love. I saw a few people drinking espresso martinis, so I figured I'd give them a shot (but I'm very picky with espresso martinis as I'm not a fan of too much cream and really prefer a high quality espresso forward cocktail). Wow! These were literally the best espresso martinis I've had in all of Scottsdale and I've tried them in pretty much every restaurant that offers them haha Service was great as well and very accomodating. They also sell sauces, pastas and more for you to take home. All in all Pomo took my breath way. Go here, get the pizza and an espresso martini and have one of the most delightful restaurant experiences you've had in years.

Double zero flour makes the best pizza dough! Chewy, light, perfectly blistered, great flavor. Excellent service in a great atmosphere. Watched the couple next to us lose their mind and become aggressive with staff, then passive aggressive, then finally just flat out complain about their server who apparently didn't serve the food in order? Whatever. Staff didn't respond to their juvenile emotional outbursts but rather worked with them to calm them and rectify the situation... which the customers could have simply done themselves but could not bring themselves to abandon their moral high ground. Hats off to the staff who handled everything with aplomb, which is probably a really big word for the people who complained but it essentially means class which they lacked but the staff had. Great entertainment to accompany our great food and amazing dessert. Check out the multiple espresso martinis to round out the night! Lastly cool little store next to the gelateria. Great spot!

Totally different than the biltmore location! They have ironed out all the kinks to give a perfect experience. Upon entering, you are greeted and seated right away. The ambiance is fun and lively, the perfect place to take young kids while on a vacation, yet the perfect place for date night. Somehow they have perfected both options! The wine options are awesome, and the pizza is both upscale and homey. I would recommend this to locals and to people who are traveling, which is hard to do!! It's the perfect restaurant in the perfect location.

Martini Tuesdays? Say less!!! Everything that we got was fresh and delicious. The martinis are strong and their Pomo one is lemon berry flavored which was right up my alley. I got the bolognese and the noodles are house made and they weren't over cooked. The pizzas are thin and the perfect size for one to two people. The restaurant itself was pretty clean, the bathroom needed attention.... And our server wasn't super friendly but she got our food out in a timely fashion and was pleasant. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Had a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night and when we arrived were directed to sit outside. We declined and asked to sit inside and the host acted all put-out and annoyed with us. The server was prompt in approaching our table and very friendly . We all ordered our own pizzas - mine had vegan cheese and it was fantastic . My husband had a GF crust and he said it was just ok.

Fantastico, this is one of the best all around pizzerias near me! Our server Gina was great, giving us time to enjoy our appetizers and cocktails before even ordering our entrees. The menu had a lot of great pizza options along with pasta and salad choices. There are also some pretty interesting cocktail concoctions on the drink menu . A little tip.. Tuesday , they have $10 martinis ! Ok now "Come Dolce " everything looks amazing, just stopping in for dessert could be a option. Nice little gelateria counter inside too. We tried the cannolis, scrumptious! Overall it was a great meal.

I've been here on several occasions during the day for lunch as the atmosphere serves itself for professional quick business meetings. After visiting some friends nearby & dropping off some deliveries, we decided to try out for dinner. Kept it somewhat simple on the entrees but decided to grab the "Italious Margarita" which was a special as I had not seen previously. It was good to help ease into my night... so I had 2. For dinner, we went with the Gnocchi Sorrentina, the Toto Sapore pizza (one of my favorites) as it has prosciutto cotto, sausage, salami & a nice spread of basil to finish it off. Also had the Principe pizza which was heavy on the arugula, had prosciutto, shaved parmigiano & of course basil. This one didn't captivate as expected and left what I would call a "bit of emptiness feeling". The price point is much higher than other fire oven places and the atmosphere in the evening was louder than expected. I'll stick to coming for lunch. ‍

When we lived in Phoenix, we went to Pomo in downtown Phoenix quite often. When we moved to Scottsdale, we did not come here for food for many years. We did stop by a few times for gelato. Finally we made it back here during one of the busiest weekend. Luckily the bar seating is open on first-come first-served basis. We got the good spot to watch the sport games and enjoy bartender making all wonderful looking (and of course delicious) drinks. The pasta here is the best! Taste like freshly homemade pasta from their family kitchen. The food came out fast and tasty. The dessert options are huge and the gelato are exceptionally good.

I think I've found my new go-to pizza spot in the Scottsdale area It gets busy quickly so have a reservation ready or come early. I came across this spot primarily looking for their espresso martinis and they did not disappoint. The cannoli espresso martini was probably one of my favorite martinis that I've had, plus it comes with a whole cannoli so it's got a dessert built in! I do like fruit on my pizza so I had to go for their Nirvana Pizza, which I believe is a seasonal offering. It's topped with burrata, peaches, and prosciutto, which surprisingly all went together very well The staff were super friendly and offered good insight on their favorite choices if you are feeling indecisive. They've got nice seating indoor and outdoor available. Whether it's for the pizza or the martinis, I'll be finding my way back here asap

I really enjoy the pizzas here! I came after placing an online order to pick up. My kid had just fallen asleep in the car and I didn't think he would wake up by the time we got here. Of course, he woke ip as soon as we pulled in the parking lot. There weren't any reservations anyway (this place gets super busy), but I thought it was really nice that the waitress let me eat my takeout pizzas with my family at the restaurant. We ordered a Pomo and a Bufala Verace pizza as well as a Porcini pizza from the Rimini pizza menu. I appreciated the thin crispy crust of the Rimini pizza but thought that the other (Napoletana) pizzas were as good as what you would order at any of my other favorite pizza places in town. The nice thing too is that they have a fantastic gelato place right at the pick up area where you can pick up a sweet treat before you go home.

I was at Pomo years ago and went back last night with friends who like it a lot. I wanted to like it a lot too. The place was jammed. Good sign. Wait staff lovely. Good sign. Food on tables looked yummy. Good sign. Menu plentiful. Good sign. Chopped salad, tasteless. Not a good sign. Thin crusted salsiccia fungi pizza was flavorless. Not good. Bufala Verace pizza, also very bland. Not a good sign. Scottsdale/Phoenix pizza is very good. I won't be going back to Pomo but obviously others don't feel the same.

I received a busn card for this place from my gym which stated to present this card at Pomo to receive a FREE margherita pizza. There is no expiration listed. I presented the card and ordered the pizza. When the bill arrived, the manager said sorry, we are not honoring this anymore and it will be full price, but we will throw in a dessert if you want. In my opininion, this is consumer fraud... To advertise a promotion and not honor it. Pizza was good, but undercooked which made the crust was really soft. Service was good otherwise.

We've been hearing about this place for gluten-free pizza for me. It's hard to find something decent but I would definitely recommend. The ambience was great. The bar was hopping and our server did a great job. I'm sure the non-gluten free pizza is phenomenal. I would say to try this restaurant for sure.

Came in on a night off for a quick dinner, couldn't have gone better. Got seated at the beautiful outside bar, and was immediately waited on by the helpful staff. Great recommendations from the staff and from friendly people at the bar who visit Pomo all the time (says something!) The pasta was cooked perfectly and think Italy not Olive Garden. Smaller portions - so don't complain when you aren't stuffed sick afterwards - it's the perfect amount! So, try one of the tasty appetizers, share a wood fired pizza - crust is superb, then share some pasta. Perfect! Drinks were well made and good variety in the wine list as well. A wonderful little spot to stop in or to leisurely enjoy dinner.

In error I left a review for the wrong Pomo location. This is actually the very first location in which I had my first experience with Pomo about 13 years ago and many times after. The entire organization strives for excellence , after my review I had received an email from the manager of this location even though I had visited another location she went above and beyond to help me . I can honestly say this has been the best experience I have ever had as far as a business trying overcome just even the smallest of issues . We will continue to patronize all locations and it is a family favorite for special occasions. World class customer service.

The pizza is absolutely amazing here and it will definitely keep me coming back. However we almost walked out of the restaurant after waiting at the host stand for 10+ minutes without being even acknowledged. I don't know where the host was, but there were also servers who could have acknowledged us by letting us know someone was coming. The host eventually came and seemed very grumpy, no apology that we were kept waiting, and not even greeted with a smile. It just felt very inhospitable. I honestly wanted to leave but was starving so we stayed. We ended up just taking a seat at the bar and the bartender was very kind and provided excellent service. The food here is beyond excellent. I hope management can work on the service here so that it matches the level of quality of the food. I hope for better service next time.

So Google recommended this place as one of the must eat stops if I'm going to Scottsdale so of course I had to try it out for lunch . The GRAMIGNA BOSCAIOLA tasted like a hamburger helpers meal. Bland. The pizza was not even cooked all the way, it was still a little doughy. The toppings started to fall off as soon as I picked up a slice. the alcoholic drink i ordered just tasted like juice the only thing that was actually enjoyable was the crudo fig honey..but even then..the bread was over cooked and it turned out very hard. I will not be coming

First time there. Pizza was light and flavorful. We ordered the Margherite. Also , pasta with shrimp in vodka sauce. Pasta is homemade. Again, cooked perfectly. Portions were large enough to split both with a friend. I will definitely be back and hopefully, save room for dessert.

So, I love this fully authentic Italian restaurant. I have tried almost every dish without disappointment. And this time I ordered off the menu, cacio e pepe ( cheese and pepper) a four ingredient dish, yet difficult to master. The grated cheese must be added to a cup of the pasta water which has cooled to 150 degrees. If not, the mixture will become stringy. Also, black pepper corns. Some chefs will pan fry the pepper corns and then grind them. Others just grind them. I am the former. My dish at Pomo was...fair. Truly. No or little black pepper and the cheese was in little balls and not at all a creamy cheese sauce. I did not send it back as I am sure the cooks are trained on the menu dishes and they do those extremely well. I had the zuppa ai funghi, delicious, creamy and the aroma of the mushrooms and earth. I also enjoyed their meatballs and eggplant parmigiana. All delicious. Please enjoy your lunch or dinner time in the ambience of the Pomo establishment. I know you will.

This is the best Italian food around. We make sure to go early and have reservations. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lasagne is always ordered and they have vegan dishes too. Service has always been top notch. This is on our regular rotation!

We were with a large party (14?) so getting seated took a minute but they made sure to get the apps out quickly and I would have been totally happy with those for dinner. The Antipasto Italiano and Arancini Siciliani were both amazing. We had a bruschetta that seems to have been also a bit off menu but delicious. My partner got a Quattro Formaggi pizza and I got the Gramigna Boscaiola pasta, both were good but I would say unremarkable. I would try to explain specifically but it might just be personal preference and I can't wait to go back and try something else. Four stars may be revised after that.

I can happily now give a 5 star review for Pomo! I've been here every other Friday for the past few months and have even brought guests visiting from out of town. Their food is just so good! The service is phenomenal even when the wait is long. I love the pasta options, salads are great and the pizzas are even better!! If you enjoy cocktails they have great options as well. A little gelato shop is located inside if you want a sweet treat after a nice meal.

I've been there twice and it was excellent both times. We brought friends . Everyone raved about the food! Modern casual, family friendly. You could also bring a date. I'd be comfortable going in alone. Really fresh High quality ingredients Affordable staff is on point The food came hot and delicious! The salad was especially lovely. Pizzas were enjoyable! We have been here several times and almost always sit at the bar. Every bartender is super friendly and does a good job of checking back, even when they are slammed. And they all make great cocktails! Both the gluten free and regular (gluten-FULL) pizzas are delicious. As is the beet salad. The caprese is pretty good as well. Ambiance is casual but classy. Definitely recommend this place! If visiting during the cooler weather...make reservations, as they get busy!

After a long day of hiking, the family was looking for a great pizza. Wow some of the best pizza I have ever had. Misha was great. Always checking on us and had a great attitude. We will be back here for sure and will ask for her.

This was my 2nd time at this Pomo location. Service was fully on point and phenomenal by Keeley. This time I tried their world renowned pasta dishes which exceeded expectations. Some of the best I ever had and I've been to 100s of Italian restaurants. The bread olive oil on side was also great. Ambience is world class with alot of VIPS but a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The place was hopping even on a Wednesday, so I suggest make reservations, even the bar was packed. They also have great gelato treats at the adjacent Luna. Unbelievably, I've been to their Biltmore and Scottsdale places but not downtown yet, so that's a must do. Highly recommended and gets my vote for best upscale Italian restaurant in Scottsdale.

The focaccia bread was probably the best I've ever had. And the espresso martinis are top notch. Calamari was very lightly breaded and fried up. The burratela pizza was excellent. The chili gave it a the right amount of spice while the honey kept it from being overpowering.

We brought some friends who were visiting from Chicago. They loved the vibe and the food. The service was good (it usually is) and the food is top notch. We like the quatro stagioni (we asked for it mixed- they'll know what you mean). And you can't leave without trying the passion fruit gelato.

My wife, Rebekah, and I enjoyed a fine-dining experience to celebrate her 27th birthday. Food, yes (I'll get to that), ambiance, beautiful!! But we lend our 5-stars 1000% to our bartender Kori. HUGE shoutout to her! We felt so tended to and we could not stop talking about how great her service was through and through. Ask for her whenever you're at the bar and ask her for her favorite red wine.. so good! We got the carbonara and pepino pizza - absolutely delicious. We consider ourselves pizza connoisseurs and their dough was to die for. Carbonara tasted amazing and authentic (no bacon or cream substitute) with farm fresh yolk, pancetta, and pecorino. Pasta came a little clumped together and could've been a bit creamier, but the flavor was on point! All in all, Kori is the highlight for both of us. Thank you for making Rebekah's 27th birthday so special!!

I love Pomo!! Their gluten free pizza has the best chewy texture. The pizza is so large I have half of leftover for the next day, which is a bonus. I've had their beet salad too and the goat cheese with the dressing.. chef's kiss. My dad was not a fan of their gluten free pasta however - he does like their pizza. Sort of Up scale family vibes, it's nice!

We had an awesome time at Pomo! Julia was our waitress & she has a super bubbly personality & was very knowledgeable about the restaurant! The atmosphere & food were good too, but I definitely think Julia helped make our experience as good as it was!

Visiting family up north we went to one of their favorite spots Pomo on north scottsdale road In a very busy outdoor mall at Gainey Ranch . We ate family style with a couple very good pasta dishes and two tasty pizzas . All very good on a Wednesday early evening . With reservations we were seated on time with friendly services from many staff and our server Dene . The pizza oven was impressive as was the Italian Ape three wheeler with a pizza oven on the back just arrived December 2022. Next door is a gelato desert side with many tasty choices . The bar area was hopping on arrival and later told 4$ beer specials and more 4-6 pm . The parking was packed for the whole mall area with people waiting for us to leave to get a parking spot. Casual fun friendly & home made Italian food packs them in at Pomo !

Can't say enough about it the food the atmosphere at this eatery. Great flat bread pizzas, the Buratella and Pomo was delicious. The pasta, Tagliatelle Bolognese and Gnocchi Sorrentina are amazing. Wine and drinks are great. Plus they have Gelato.

First, I like Pomo. I like the bar area and the vibe. The bartenders are always helpful and friendly. The pasta is very good and my wife loves the salads. So why the two stars? It's the pizza. Pomo has a high end pizza oven but after several visits, it's clear they don't know how to cook pizza. The crust is a soggy mess. Even if you order it "extra crispy", they just cannot make a crust that can hold up. It is impossible to eat a slice with your hands and we had to reach for our knives and forks to eat it. Why is this?? We were told that it's a 900 degree oven and the top would burn as the crust got crispy. Then we were told that it is a wood burning oven and they can't control the temperature. Uh?? How about putting in less wood! There are a lot of places in the valley that have mastered this technique. I'm talking about Craft 64 and Pizzeria Bianco for a few examples. We want Pomo to be awesome and as I said earlier, we really like going there but their pizza really needs a lot of work. Get to work guys!!

Continued on my forever craving of neapolitan pizza. Step one is always looking inside the restaurant for the oven. Step two is the pictures for the charred crust. We ordered the Principe and Boscaiola. While waiting for the pies, we decided to go with the creamy mushroom soup. You can't really go wrong with creamy soup. The only downside was how filling the soup is! We got seats to watch the kitchen action. The pies were a tad more doughy but the texture was there. Chewy. Light. Flavorful. Craving fulfilled. Calories worth it. Motivated me to make creamy mushroom soup which was successful.
