I couldn't tell you how the food is, but the service was subpar. You walk into, essentially, the middle of the restaurant. There is no vestibule to receive you, which is what is normal for a restaurant that requires pants and closed toe shoes. We stood there, waiting, all guests staring at us, no one approached or even looked at us. Finally, as I said, "I think i am just gonna leave," a waiter came up and said "the manager will be with you in a second." Strange that the manager has to seat you...
Several minutes later, the manager, who was wearing a gaudy, tailored suit, approaches us and told we could sit outside, in the heat. I said that there were plenty of EMPTY tables inside, and we would like to sit inside. He said we could not because my sons and husband were wearing shorts (dressy shorts) and sandals. I was appalled. Embarrassed. And upset. He rudely shooed us away in front of everyone, in the middle of the restaurant, since they don't even have a reception area.
It is Miami, it is hot, and this restaurant does NOT rise to the elegance and quality of restaurants that merit dress codes, like Fiola, et al. Look elsewhere. You'll blink and this one will be gone. Pig with lipstick. Typical, Miami, wanna be, but doesn't measure up.
Check out long-standing Bugatti down the street, where we ended up going. I'll never come back to this "establishment."
