"Prezza is a white-tablecloth, candle-lit restaurant on Fleet Street that provides the best fine-dining experience in the North End. When you get there, you might initially wonder why they decided to nearly ruin the atmosphere with a TV above the bar, but then you probably won’t care when the ricotta ravioli with roasted plum tomato, sausage, black olives, and parmesan comes." - dan secatore

"Prezza is far enough from Hanover Street that you won’t have to deal with packs of tourists, but close enough that you can make your way over there for an espresso and cannoli at the end of the night. For dinner, you’ll get respectfully done, old-school Italian food in a candlelit dining room that doesn’t force the ambiance with too much viola music. We recommend starting with the burrata and ending with the tagliatelle." - Dan Secatore

Google
Perfect spot for occasional dinner, great location near the center. Staff were very polite and service was top tier. Scallops and ravioli are delicious, as well as the desserts on the menu. Definitely recommend, make sure you book in advance on weekends it definitely gets crowded. Impressive selection of wine and liquor!

In Boston from Galveston, TX as we have done for 25+ years. The Dagny concierge Barry, who never steers us wrong, recommended Prezza and it was an outstanding choice. Off the beaten path, quiet place where you can talk, and the food and service were excellent. Just made our October visit with friends Martin & Pam & their family. 7 of us for dinner. We made a reservation through Barry, the concierge at Dagny, about 10 days ago. They took us promptly and we had the BEST table. Ron was our server and did a tremendous job; Paul also assisted during the meal. Food was awesome. The Pistachio Martini is my wife’s favorite for our Boston visit. The atmosphere was very nice; lively but still able to have a conversation. This was our 2nd visit but there will definitely be a next visit.

Google
I visited Prezza after considering several other restaurants in the North End. I was looking for a spot with plenty of positive reviews, but not overly touristy — and Prezza delivered exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone in our group loved their meals, and most of us even had leftovers to take home. So glad I found this gem!

Google
Excellent and fast service, very delicious food, solid drinks and wine menu, classy and clean atmosphere. It's more of a modern fine dining experience, and not a traditional Italian atmosphere. Located on a cozy street of North End Boston. Reservations are a must, this place fills up quickly. Only negatives: the high prices and small portions.

Google
Best halibut I've ever had. The fresh made pasta was outstanding! Tuna tartar was a really good start too. Best Italian we've experienced in Boston!

Google
Bostonians must be cracked, food is decent. Wine list is extensive. Came during carnivale and was pretty busy. Layout of the restaurant is cramped. Pasta came out in a reasonable amount of time. The tartare was good. Our server was friendly but not too keen on introducing specific dishes or pairings. The gnocchi was pretty tasteless to me where as the cacio de pepe was a lot more flavorful. The mushrooms were cooked well and the sauce a good consistency. For the price range the pasta should be of higher quality.

Google
Little Italy's highly recommended Prezza @prezzaboston for their Italian masterpiece of Gnocchi a la bolognese with a side of broccoli rabe. Followed with coffee and a shot nicely poured shot of amaretto for dessert because that's how us Italians do 🇮🇹

Google
The portions are massive, the food is great and service is excellent. The espresso martini is way too creamy, but I loved my pork chop and squash blossom.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this restaurant on a Saturday night in Boston, we had no reservation but managed to get a seat due to a last minute cancellation This restaurant is nestled on one of the side streets in North End. The ambiance is nice - dimly lit and it was packed. We are vegetarian and there were not a lot of veg options at the menu but our waiter said he could accommodate custom orders. We got a primavera rigatoni pasta with red sauce and a butternut squash ravioli. Both were INCREDIBLE. My primavera pasta was so tasty - the sauce was beautifully seasoned with tons of garlic. The butternut squash ravioli was decadent, sweet and salty all at the same time. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente. Absolute treat to come here - will be back next time I'm in Boston.

Yelp
Liz was our Barmaid/waitress. Very personable And efficient. Sat at bar on a Sat nite around 5 pm. Perfect time to get a seat ...we had reservations at 530 but rather sit at bar if possible. It's where all the action is along with a few TVs to watch the Sox game. Apps were meatballs in a very good marinara sauce along with mussels in a spicy marinara sauce laced with chorizo. Yum. The soft chunks of bread cane with and olive oil dip with actual green olives in it. I personally like butter. Entrees were a huge thick portion of chicken Parm on homemade pasta with a great marinara .... I got the shrimp Fra diavolo. Awesome over homemade pasta and a very good tasting marinara . The girls split a tenderloin with mashed and say it was delish. Overall a good experience on Fleet st. We like trying different places in North end and this one ranks up as one of the top of my list .

Yelp
I feel like you can't get bad Italian food in Boston north end. Just try to make reservations. Food was good. Our waiter was a little checked out, but service was okay. He didn't listen well to our drink order. We didn't need anything otherwise tho. A good viable option.

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food a lot but the overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. First of all, both the squid and octopus and the tuna tartare were delicious. Overpriced but anywhere that has not fried squid in the US is great. Large portion of tuna tartare without. A bunch of filler or sauce added. Hot and dirty martini was not good. It was neither hot nor dirty. The decor was fine, pretty minimalist. Our waiter was good but all the staff asked 5-10 times to take our plates while we were still eating which makes you feel like I'd rushed. Overall enjoyed it but not wowed. Definitely cost more than it should have.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing dining experience. We came here hoping for good food for a nice date night on a Saturday night. First of all, the service was horrific. We were sat at a table up against a wall in the corner of the restaurant with barely enough room to move your arms without hitting the other table. The waiter didn't even attempt to make any suggestions (except to say that the short rib is his favorite appetizer, after we had already ordered). He said the bread would be coming out and we had to ask him again for it after our appetizers already arrived. For the food: Appetizers: Braised short rib - 5/5 Crispy shrimp - 2/5. Lacks flavor and is just crunchy Entrees Shrimp Fra diavolo. This one grew on me as I ate it. It started at a 2/5, but the flavor grew as I ate it. The shrimp and the pasta themselves were ok, but the sauce ended up being a 4/5 Meatballs - 2/5. Comes with a few meatballs, a random rib, and a piece of sausage. Overall very simple and not much flavor. We also did a half bottle of wine, which was fine, but definitely marked up more than normally would be at a restaurant of this quality. Overall, I definitely would not recommend coming here for a date night. The ambiance is definitely not good for that. If you are looking for an extremely overpriced meal with a group of people with mediocre food, this is your place.

Yelp
Favorite Italian high end bar and restaurant in the North End! The Ravioli di Uovo appetizer was so incredible that I ended up going a second time to order this! The beef tartare was one of the better ones I've had. The martini's were smooth and perfectly balanced...I highly recommend the pistachio martini which is served with pistachio ice cream in the center! The only critique I had was the gnocchi was quite tiny and not as fresh as the other restaurants I dined at in the North End. Overall, the bar tenders provide high quality service, and if you are looking for a classy bar this place is for you!

Pat S.

Yelp
We had a delicious dinner. Very fun place. We ended up sitting at the bar and enjoyed chatting with those around us.

Yelp
Last night, went to Prezza for the first time. Was excited because I love its sister restaurants,Tonno Gloucester and Tonno Wakefield. Short walk from North Station and the Garden! Beautiful restaurant! The staff are superb! Polite and friendly and on point! We had the meatballs, tuna crudo, and crispy shrimp for appetizers. Fabulous! No pictures. We ate them too quickly. For dinner, we ordered crispy pork, tomahawk veal chop and tagliatelle Bolognese. So good! For desserts we had flourless chocolate cake and a special bread pudding in whiskey sauce! Great restaurant for a date or a chance to catch up. Tables are not on Top of each other and restaurant is quiet compared to other great North End spots!

Gabrielle K.

Yelp
Prezza is a place that feels very much like somewhere you don't find but someone recommends. Just one street off the congested north end path it feels a little hidden. You step inside to a very sleek restaurant with a wonderful collection of different artistic pieces. I'd made a reservation the day before but even being a Monday they were filled. Our server, Nicholas, had that very Bostonian charm and definitely gave me a few laughs throughout my meal. He recommended a riesling and chardonnay for me and my friend that we really enjoyed. We had complimentary ciabatta bread with vinegar filled with olives which was good. We also got this unique shrimp dish with beautiful plating and a great crunch texture from the toppings wrapped around it. My favorite dish was definitely the corn raviolini. It's funny because it's what my friend ordered and I had hesitated getting it because I was sure about it. Another guest in the restaurant even commented on how delicious the dish was as they had ordered it as. The menu doesn't just have pasta but also seafood and meat so there's something for everyone. This would be the place to have a fancy dinner or have a nice work dinner. I cannot wait to visit again!

Kann T.

Yelp
The place is very clean and dimly lit. Great place for a date/gathering with friends. The service was great they keep checking up on you. The food is okay, tried the crispy shrimp, mushroom risotto, grilled octopus and Sunday special. The crispy shrimp was good. The mushroom risotto and Sunday special was okay. Nothing exceptional. The portion size is very big.

Michael W.

Yelp
Outstanding food in this North End restaurant. Started with the meatballs and the grilled clams. Excellent on both counts, I especially enjoyed the clams which was a large order of grilled clams with sausage in a tomato ragu. Don't sleep on the meatballs either, they were also excellent with good garlic flavor and perfect texture! For my entree I had the scallops which were about as close to perfect as I've ever had. They were served with chopped cauliflower over a silky smooth cauliflower puree. My gf had the gemelli pasta cacio e pepe. She loved her meal but I was a little surprised to see prosciutto and mushroom in a cacio e pepe. Not to nitpick but that was not an authentic cacio. Her son had the gnocchi bolognese. That was a spectacular dish! For dessert he had the canolli and cookie dessert, he loved it. The restaurant is super busy and loud but to me it adds to the vibe. It's a great place to enjoy outstanding food.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
Great recommendations from server. All around approval from everyone at the table. Ordered burrata, octopus, ravioli, seafood stew, and scallops

George P.

Yelp
The restaurant has valet across the street. So if you're driving a Ferrari or exotic car you can park it yourself. Now the gate closes after 12 AM. So going for a drink later you're going to be locked in there. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The prices a logical now a days. The appetizers are the best thing on the menu. But the main courses we got the branzino and spaghetti clams. Was not impressed or wowed. They state the make fresh pasta home made. Let me tell you how my spaghetti was. It was premade refrigerated and then boiled up for a few seconds to re heat and put on my plate. And it was all sticky together and not loose. The branzino did not seem fresh. Was not flaky and tasty. Most likely frozen and it was filet. Not whole. The expresso martini was not good at all, do not recommend. To sweet. Service though was excellent and extensive wine list. This is a great place to go after work and sit at the bar and grab appetizers. That's what I recommend. I will not be going back here. They get 3 stars and not 2. Because it was not that bad the food. But not what I expected a restaurant off Hanover street to be. Usually those ones in north end they blow your mind away with mom and grandmas in the kitchen. This doesn't. Me saying if I will go back or not says allot. That's how I review i restaurant. Will not be going back.

Steve C.

Yelp
It was good, but there are better Italians/gourmet options. Cocktails were on point. Chicken park was a little burn though. The steaks were nicely prepared. Ambience was laidback but not stuffy. I would not consider this place for "fun" or for smaller children.

Jazlyn S.

Yelp
This happy hour is the reason to come! $1 oysters from 4-5pm every day. The service was incredible, the staff was very attentive and on top of everything. We ordered drinks and received them within a few minutes and same for our order of 24 oysters! I loved my experience here and will have to go back to check out their actual menu items. The happy hour experience was wonderful and I will go back for an actual dining experience soon.

David B.

Yelp
I would like to thank the staff at Prezza for a great evening . A special shout out to Marisa and associates for going above and beyond for trying to find my lost cell phone. You are now my go to restaurant when I visit Boston.

Emily D.

Yelp
Our meal was so disappointing. The garlic bread was burnt. I can't believe they served it. We were hungry, so we ate around the burn on the other pieces. But, the whole basket was like that. The gnocchi bolognese was tasteless, and my husbands steak was tasteless. Honestly, we aren't picky or hard to please. Just yuck Our waiter was attentive, and very nice. The rest of our party was delayed at the airport, and the hostess was lovely about the change in our reservation. I did try to call ahead to inform them, but only got a recording. Sadly, I would not return

Jennifer T.

Yelp
We were trying to get a reservation for 2 on a Wednesday but it was a 1.5 hour wait at Carmelina's so a guy in line ahead of us told us to check this place out. Down the street and to the right in a small alley/street. Nice ambiance, not too noisy to chat with others. Our server was so thoughtful and split our apps (octopus and soft shell crab), tuna tartare, and was super attentive. I would highly recommend. I usually go to Giacomo's but this will be in my regulars.

Natalie Y.

Yelp
Came here based on the rave reviews online for a special occasion, and my date and I were disappointed by the experience. The food was good, but not great, and definitely not worth the price. We ordered: garlic bread (which came out warm and crispy) "Ravioli di Uovo"- the pasta was hard and the butter sauce and overall dish lacked flavor tuna tartare- bland and not great quality fish branzino- very generous portion but extremely oily homemade meatballs- huge dish and nothing special

Lindsay S.

Yelp
This is/was my 1st time in Boston and my fellow Facebook friends recommended this restaurant. I'm so glad they did! The food was absolutely outstanding (and I'm a huge foodie!) the service was too-notch (we sat at the bar) and the ambiance is very nice. Small but quaint. Definitely recommend if you find yourself in the Boston area. Make reservations!

Doug S.

Yelp
fantastic; food, service, ambience, great wine list. a wonderful experience! i would highly recommend.

Scott S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Caleigh was great - went above and beyond! She made our evening! We had a great experience overall and would definitely come back every time in Boston.

Jonathan G.

Yelp
Bruh. Gyyattt damn this place is the tits. From the duck prosciutto to the venison loin.....you just can't miss. One of the north end's best.

Tony N.

Yelp
We went to Prezza last night and it was amazing. We started with the meatball appetizer. Wow! Our entrees choices were the halibut and the swordfish. Our new favorites. The purée around the halibut just made the dish amazing. The smokeyness from the wood fire grill in the swordfish was out of this world. The bread pudding dessert is epic! The part that made the night come together was not the amazing wine list, but the knowledge, Ryan our server had of the wine list. He picked the most perfect bottle in the price range we wanted and the flavor profile that went along with our dinner.

Mohamed B.

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks would recommend it to anybody that's looking for delicious Italian food

Danielle S.

Yelp
Cute spot. Great service. Overall good food. Here's the food review: Arugula salad- awesome. Just as expected. Shrimp- I wouldn't have described as shrimp but rather as jumbo prawns. Probably because not what we were expecting, so meh. Garlic bread- my companions loved it. I thought it was good. Gnocchi- wonderful! The gnocchi itself v the serving was smaller than expected but imo made it better. Chestnut ravioli with pulled duck - different and delicious Sirloin and filets- cooked perfectly

Bill F.

Yelp
Incredible food, great wine selection, and the service is the best! Order multiple meatball appetizers - best ever!

Abe B.

Yelp
My girlfriend went to dinner with two friends to Prezza, on the recommendation of a friend. Since I wasn't there, she wanted to bring me back something. So she got an order of ravioli, which *did* specify that it was exactly one piece. OK, fine: some places do this, and it works. My girlfriend thought it would be quite a sizable piece, given that it cost eighteen dollars. Allow me to repeat this: the piece of ravioli was eighteen dollars. When I opened the container she brought back, I thought there had been a mix-up -- but, no. What I had before me was a sad, dun blob of a thing about half the size of my hand. I was going to throw it away out of spite, but I did bother to take a couple of bites, just to see if there was anything redeeming. It was, without exaggeration, the blandest piece of ravioli I've had in my life, tasting nothing more and nothing less like a grim chunk of wheat-meal with a bit of astringency. Oh, and the interior was a raw egg. How generous! I had thought that ~Fancy~ restaurants had outgrown pulling stunts like this, but Prezza shows that such pretentious practices are alive and well.

Sammie C.

Yelp
Semi hidden from the main streets of the north end, prob the reason why we were able to get a table on a Sunday night when there was a 1-2 hour wait everywhere else we tried. Service was good, food was great.

Kim L.

Yelp
We journeyed into Boston for dinner, planning to spend the night so that Wayne could catch an early morning flight. Part of the plan was to experience a wonderful dinner in the North End, something we've missed during Covid. We ended up at Prezza and had a fabulous dinner with awesome service. We arrived and were escorted to our seats and kind of left alone for awhile - seems there was some miscommunication which they quickly addressed and profusely apologized for. We had wonderful martinis Wayne's was filled with a giant stuffed olive - that went very well with the crunchy shrimp with cherry pepper aioli appetizer. I had halibut with chive risotto - to die for! Wayne had pea ravioli full of English peas, Jones ham, mascarpone, Pecorino. It was a wonderful dinner and I cannot wait to retur

Nancy S.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place for dinner keep walking. We had reservations. Arrived on time. Seated then totally ignored. Waiters etc walked by our table many many times and acted as were invisible. We tried to flag down anyone only to have the waiters not even make eye contact. After waiting 20 minutes for even some water we walked out. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! There are plenty of super friendly Italian restaurants in Boston. This one is not.

Anisa A.

Yelp
Five stars for excellent food, great experience- thank you, Amy! And the beautiful wine selection!

Sophia L.

Yelp
An excellent choice, with food that almost takes me back to Italy. Fantastic service, with comfortable seating that felt spacious despite being in the North End, and overall perfect for conversations over a great meal. We got the Mushroom Risotto for starters, and I was impressed by how quickly this was served. It was cooked just right and the umami flavor in each bite was so satisfying. The Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli is delightful, with the entire dish combining very well together, even with the rabbit! Their Truffle Tagliatelle special was yummy too. I'd definitely recommend this place for Italian food. Bonus tip for skipping street meter parking: there's an outdoor lot a 3 minute walk away that was $16. Find "286 Commercial St Parking".

Elena M.

Yelp
Atmosphere was very nice, waitstaff were busy but fine, and the bathrooms were clean. Some of my party 2/5 people enjoyed their food. I got the ravioli which I found to be disappointing, the waiter described it as one large ravioli, and it was one ravioli, however I can't imagine it was more than 200 or 300 calories, and it was very small. The pasta around the ravioli was underdone, by even my standards, and I prefer aldente pasta. The egg yolk inside of the ravioli however was cooked fine, and maybe a little overdone. I've attached a photo of the ravioli, you can see that it's not cooked. I'm not one to complain, but if you're looking for a nice place to eat there are plenty of nice places on that block, and I would try one of those.

Jeannine M.

Yelp
The food was very good. The mushroom risotto was excellent. The scallops were excellent. The rigatoni was very good . The salmon was good. Also good cocktails.

Kelly R.

Yelp
LOVED Prezza-- may be my new favorite restaurant in the North End. My favorite thing we ate was the oyster app... couldn't even tell you what it was, but it was amazing. Our service was amazing, the restaurant is comfortable and big, and the food is amazing. HIGHLY recommend the bread pudding. I'm not a bread pudding gal, but that stuff is addicting.

R M.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant for 20+ years. Never fails to impress. Service food ambiance spot on.

Lisa T.

Yelp
One of my favorites for the past 15 years when I'm in Boston. Big beautiful cocktails, delicious food, and warm wonderful people. Enough said.

Kim T.

Yelp
I recently dined at Prezza in Boston and was a bit disappointed with the experience. While my first visit to the restaurant was good, my second visit was not as enjoyable. The service was lacking and I didn't feel particularly welcomed when I walked in. In terms of the food, we ordered a few pastas and main dishes to share, but they were just okay - nothing particularly special. Overall, Prezza seems to be a hit or miss and unfortunately my experience was on the not-so-great side.

Anthony S.

Yelp
What a fantastic place! The food reminds me of Italy, just as good! I had some spectacular gnocchi (best I've had) and my girlfriend had the raviolini and ricotta ravioli. The waiter was fantastic and brought my girlfriend two dishes for her birthday. The pistachio dessert was also fantastic. This dinner made our trip to Boston. Highly recommend. A bit noisy but that's too be understood as it was completely full. You need to reserve in advance for a table.

Melanie W.

Yelp
Made a reservation at 4:30 when just they opened, so the place empty. Food was great especially the crispy shrimp. Spaghetti with clam was tasty but wish the pasta was more soft. Fish stew was alittle salty but the seafood was fresh. Creme brulee and tiramisu parfait was delicious, not too sweet.

Mykela F.

Yelp
I came here with friends for a dinner and was very impressed! We got the white truffle pasta special which was absolutely delicious but a bit of a splurge at $60 a plate and split the scallops. They divided the scallops to separate plates which was a very nice touch. We ended the meal with complimentary desert and limoncello!

Jim S.

Yelp
We stopped in here to see if we could get a table. The hostess basically laughed at us for even considering it. It was loud and crowded. The atmosphere was not at all Italian and we were told we could wait "if we wanted" for a seat at the bar but that there were a line of people waiting for this. It didn't look comfortable. Not sure about the food. We quickly made our way to another more friendly place down the street.

Jessica A.

Yelp
Ravioli Di Uovo appetizer and Corn Raviolini were really good, Lobster Fra Diavolo, not so much. Margarita was not good, had to send back. Atmosphere is businesslike. Overall ok experience, certain dishes are a win.

Michael C.

Yelp
Incredible dining experience in historic north end of Boston. Upscale Italian, great ambiance and not to cramped. The wine list offered great varietals, accurate vintages, and appropriate pricing. We enjoyed a beautiful Barolo. Efrain, our server, was on point throughout evening. I had the filet, perfectly done. We shared a few appetizers (octopus was amazing) and also got to try some of their chestnut ravioli and scallops. Everything was amazing. Definitely our new spot when coming back to Boston from Providence. Great job to the staff.

Summer S.

Yelp
After a day of touring Boston, we looked for a quiet place to sit down and enjoy dinner. Prezza is located off the main street, in a quiet section of the Italian district. We had the tuna tartare, mushroom risotto, the pork chop, meatballs, and gnocchi. Excellent service, excellent dinner, Very pleased we found them and saving for future visits to Boston.

Daryl P.

Yelp
Stopping in for dollar oysters, my group of 5 came in and were ready to get down for these well cleaned, easy to eat raw oysters. We ended up getting 6 dozen oysters; 3 dozen for the 2 orders on a cool iced plate with cocktail sauce and a cucumber vinaigrette that cleansed our palate. With our beer and heavier food that we had earlier in the day this quick meal really opened our stomach ups and made the rest of the day a little more comfortable and we were amazed that they were cleaned so well besides a few bites with shells but were clean off the shell that they just slide right off into our mouths. The atmosphere is very date like with low lighting and small 2 person tables but for us and the bar top enjoying a soccer game we were ready to party with sports or with oysters. I prefer the oysters!

Julia Z.

Yelp
This place is unassuming from the front but expands to a much bigger space in the back. Everything was great but the pork chops were the highlight of our meal. Prezza has been added to our rotation of musts for our Boston trips.

Doug M.

Yelp
Simply fantastic. Relaxing, refined but not stuffy, comfortable space. Service was excellent. As for the food, I'll just focus on the two entrees. The wife's free range boneless half chicken was possibly the best chicken we have had in a restaurant. Tender, moist, well-seasoned meat under a highly-flavorful, crispy but not tough skin. They must dry-rub and brine/soak that meat overnight or something similar to infuse that flavor. My fish stew (lobster, swordfish, shrimp, clams, mussels, squid with toasted bread and saffron aioli), was similarly excellent. When they said stew, they meant it. The broth was filled with the seafood. Much was still in the shell, so I took it all out. And it filled the bowl. The swordfish was a large filet piece, and the shrimp were three (I think) large shrimp. I ate those separately, wanting to savor the bites. As with the chicken, this was well seasoned and extremely savory. The broth was really a buttery, tomato-ish concoction, but oh so good. I really wanted to turn up the bowl and drink all there was, but managed to resist.
