The 25 Best Restaurants In Charlotte 2024

"Shopping centers are usually filled with chain restaurants serving 2-for-$20 meals that taste fresh out of the microwave, but every once in a while, you find a gem like Prime Fish. The restaurant has only 20 seats, and you’ll want to take a date to the L-shaped sushi bar to watch the chefs prepare edomae-style sushi with yellowtail from Japan, salmon from Denmark, and tuna from Spain. You can’t go wrong with any of the sashimi and nigiri, but the special rolls are also so good and include Southern influences you won’t find elsewhere. Try the Crispy Umami, with tempura shrimp, avocado, eel sauce, and shoestring sweet potatoes, and pair it with something off their list of 70 sakes." - tess allen

18 Essential Restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina

"Charlotte has a serious sushi experience now, with Omakase in Cotswold. But if $300 for a 16-course tasting (or $150 for 10 courses at lunch) is a bit rich, consider Omakase’s little sister in Ballantyne. It’s small and classic, with a full offering of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, plus a great list of sakes." - Timothy DePeugh, Kathleen Purvis

8 Spots for Sushi in Charlotte, North Carolina

"After opening in 2020, Prime Fish rose to the top of Charlotte’s list of best new restaurants for a good reason — chef Robin Anthony offers Tokyo-style sushi and expert sake pairings. This place is overrated and overrated priced. I arrived at 825pm. They close at 9p. I ordered wine. A glass was $16 next option was $26. I thought it was half a bottle....nope....a 10oz pour. Not knowing the menu and portion size, I ordered spicy seared scallop. No spice and not a sear in site....raw. The scallop was flavorless. At least it wasn't fishy.see the picture for yourself. At 835 I order a spicy tuna thinking I will see if I am full. Nope, the server says last call. I reminded him they close at 9 and pointed to the crew showing they were closing up shop. I ordered a California roll. As I thought the portions were different and I ordered too much. The spicy tuna, not spicy. Not much flavor either. The California roll was really good because the avocado was so fresh. I normally don't order California roll but was forced to order so I picked something I could trust because I was pressured to choose. The atmosphere was not impressive. Most seating was around the sushi bar. The best part was how freaking cold it was in there. They had the door to the patio open and cold air was screaming in there. I never took off my puffy coat. At 849, the waiter turns all the lights off in the sake and wine cooler. It was my clue to get the heck out. Nothing like a $50 meal to be rushed out the door. Everybody cheerfully wished me a good night when I left at 849 because I was the last customer standing between them and leaving. I worked late tonight abd was hoping for a relaxed meal....nope. Stay away.

Google
Outstanding quality and service. Arguably the best sushi in Charlotte. The kitchen and sushi chefs are incredibly fast and the servers are polite and professional. Absolutely love the Salmon Belly Nigiri and yellowtail crudo!! The snow crab Rangoon is a delight.

Stephen Schwartz

Google
Awesome experience sitting at the sushi bar and eating excellent sushi. This is an expensive restaurant, so be prepared for that, but the food is top notch.

Lexi Bennett

Google
My mom and I enjoyed a great dinner here! I am very picky about my sushi and only like very fresh, high quality food- this was it! Very authentic and delicious. I wish there were a few more rolls to choose from, especially for someone like my mom that doesn’t typically go for more traditional rolls. Don’t come here unless you’re ready to eat real good authentic sushi!! Service was just okay, our waiter was kind but not very attentive or overly nice. Messed up my gluten allergy a couple of times that caused a lot of issues. We got our food in 11 minutes, but had to wait another 20 after that because of the mistake the waiter made. I understand allergies can be annoying but I made myself very clear. Vibe was super nice and chill, we LOVED the outdoor patio. Overall amazing experience! Def coming back

When I tell you I have tried every place in charlotte that sells sushi I mean it. No place can compete with the quality, taste, atmosphere, service of prime fish. The only thing they care for more than you is your food, delicious works of art. You have to go, no ifs ands or buts.

Google
Absolutely superb! The vibe with the new outdoor space is amazing! Literally the best place for fresh sushi and tapas. We love it here! Thank you so much for an incredible wedding anniversary dinner! Our server was also wonderful!

Best sushi in town by far! Michelle was great as our server.

Google
UPDATE - STILL THE BEST SUSHI IN Charlotte! I've been reading some of the newest reviews, complaining about prices... Best thing is, they all rave about the quality of the fish, then say it's too expensive. Well... that's what good quality fish costs. Don't give a 2 star review, when you love the food. Yeesh. Smh When you love sushi and are always on the look out for a good place, you tend to eat at a plethora of Asian restaurants. We have eaten sushi from Florida to New York and I have to say, unless you're spending $500 plus on a dinner for 2, you won't find better fish ANYWHERE! The fish quality at Prime Fish is incredible! They aren't cheap and they aren't serving ridiculously small over priced meals. You'll spend a little more here but I guarantee, it's worth it! We haven't found another place with this level of quality. They may not be as amazing as Jiro Ono but damn close for a fraction of the cost! It's so good I haven't gotten to take photos before we dig in!

Yelp
Been here several times. Best Sushi and Sashimi in Charlotte - not only Charlotte, really top notch anywhere for the most sophisticated pallets. Highest quality, unique dishes, artfully prepared. Seating is limited, service has always been good. Not cheap, but worth it for excellent sushi and sashimi. Not the best if you have someone in the group that doesn't eat sushi - other options are limited.

Yelp
Prime fish is a quaint spot with great customer service. We started out with the truffle salmon which was really fresh and delicious. Then we had the hash brown crisp with spicy tuna which was a savory fusion dish, also very good. We got a total of 3 rolls. The 'No Name' was delicious, there was seared beef on top which gave the roll a warmness that I really enjoyed. Also, I couldn't get enough of the sweet potato crisps. The 'Sake Yaki' is their truffle roll and it was very flavorful and unique. I've never had truffle on a roll before and it did not disappoint. Lastly we had the 'Prime salmon' which was definitely salmon forward but yummy. I'd recommend this spot for sure. They give you fruit chews at the end, a delicious little treat.

Yelp
Prime Fish has a great menu. I liked their hashbrown bites, salmon roll, and some other rolls I split with my friends. We sat at the bar, and the seating was a little awkward. Someone spilled their water. Otherwise, the ambiance was cool. I liked the darker lighting for a Friday night out and thought the fish tasted fresh. I'll likely be back with friends or for a special occasion- it's a little pricey, so I'm not sure Prime Fish would be go to day-to-day.

Yelp
Well, so far this has been the best sushi we've had in either of the Carolinas. We've been here twice, and we LOVE sushi, but a lot of the stuff out there isn't great quality or it's a lot of fluff; this place is small, quaint, with fresh seafood, great customer service and a decent selection. They are a bit on the pricier side, they didn't have a few of the options that I wanted (that I saw on Yelp), and I wish they had more vegetarian options (tempura vegetables, sonomono salad, cucumber salad, etc) but we definitely like this spot and intend to return.

Yelp
Fresh sushi! A bit pricey but worth the fresh fish and cozy vibes. The restaurant is a bit small so plan ahead. Quick service and plenty of sake/wine to choose from. 10/10

Yelp
The hostess must have had a bad day. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 child and a baby that came in when there was no one else there. Though the place is super tiny (but empty), she gave attitude when trying to seat us. As if seating us was an impossible chore. I could see by the other server the embarrassment of the hostess's attitude as the server made up for it with the service. We'll probably come back. Hope the hostess is in a better mood. 5 stars for food and service. 3 stars based on our interaction with hostess when we walked in.

Mitt R.

Yelp
Sushi here is currently the best in Charlotte. Super fresh, wonderfully cut. If you prefer nigiri over rolls- this is a great spot. The tuna and salmon are buttery and the best quality I've seen in the area. The rolls looked good too and I've heard this place recommended several times before coming here. The interior isn't large and it doesn't have the best ambiance if you want a table, you will have the best experience if you eat at the sushi bar or just get it to go. The staff is nice, and service is really fast.

Yelp
We've live in the area for two years now and have struggled to find good sushi within reasonable distance of our house. PF is about 35 minutes and well worth it. Their fish is imported from Japan and the quality is there by my standards. The nigiri and sashimi portions are a bit on the small size, and the prices are on the high side. I think that's a result of logistics and lack of competition in the area. So be it. The selection of quality fish is excellent, and the presentations were fantastic. The absolute best part for me was the Japanese uni. It was totally on point for flavor and texture. I had uni negiri style with quail egg yolk tucked in there, all wrapped in a band of nori seaweed. Phenomenal! My wife loves salmon roe. We had this and it was on par. If you are into rolls, they have a very creative, delicious selection. We are going to try some of those next time through. Decent selection of sakis and Japanese beer. Small space inside with patio outside. Service was very good.

Yelp
Super fresh, super delicious Sushi paired with great friendly service here. Their selections of Sushi is very incredible with various kind of fishes you will not see at other Sushi restaurants. The place is quite small. The Sushi bar dominated the center of the restaurant with very few tables inside and a very casual outdoor tables on the front. There is no cocktails, just beers and Sakes but a very impressive selection of Sake. The Ambience here is more of a neighborhood Sushi restaurant not an upscale vibe like Baku in Southpark but the prices are higher than Baku and I can't say that the Sushi that we had were more superior. You can go here without having to dress up so super casual. If you want a special occasion romantic outing, this is not the place. Overall, if you are close to here and would like to sample super fresh Sushi not available at other places in Charlotte , money is no object and you just want to wear tea shirt and jeans, give this place a try.

Yelp
Prime Fish is my ride or die sushi spot. They have the BEST sushi in Charlotte in my opinion. Everything is crafted perfectly. The restaurant itself is a bit small but nice. They've added a bunch of patio seating this year. Service is always fantastic and sit at the bar for an even closer look at the sushi preparation. Ask for the uni spoons if they have them. One if my favorites is the salmon belly nigiri. 10/10 every time!

Yelp
Delicious sushi Umami crunch roll! I loved the taste of the Umami crunch sushi and the sweet potato crunch on top was fantastic. I also liked their appetizers, we tried the shrimp dumplings and the crab Rangoon appetizers which came with sweet sauce. We sat at the bar and had excellent service.

Yelp
This is without a doubt the best sushi in charlotte! Every time I have come here it has been top quality and I highly recommend anything with truffle on it.

Yelp
What can I say about Prime Fish that hasn't already been said? Outstanding sushi and excellent service in a bustling restaurant. It may not be the biggest spot but it was full and had a steady stream of takeout orders the entire time I was there. Best sushi I've had in Charlotte and it's not even close. I dined solo this evening and ordered the nigiri tasting, a couple of the prime nigiri selections, and some salmon belly nigiri. As all sushi lovers know...there are different levels of sushi restaurants around town and when you think about all of the top tier sushi joints in CLT...I rank Prime Fish above them in the ELITE category. It can get pricey depending on what you order but I can assure you it's more than worth it especially if you love and appreciate sushi. I was totally blown away. Also shout out to Andy my server who was very friendly and attentive while managing multiple tables and the sushi bar. Just an all around excellent experience...can't wait to come back.

Dustin F.

Yelp
Ate there last night first thing when you walk in not children friendly they do not have booster seats or High chairs ordered appetizers very basic not very tasty. I asked them to make a roll the way I would like they are not deviate from their menu even though they're making it from scratch anyway. Had sashimi have eaten all around the country i've never seen a piece of fish so small. Definitely not returning don't recommend. Ended up going to Burger King after.

Marco G.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Very tasty and the fish is super fresh. Staff is also very kind and polite. Also a great atmosphere . Definitely recommend coming here.

Yelp
Great lunch deals and attentive staff. We always get the chefs special! Highly recommend for quality sushi

Yelp
I have been craving this pls w for a year now. Since I have been here they has added on an enclosure outside so it is more spacious for all year dining. They have also started using regular utensils and plates. My server was excellent and I enjoyed talking with her. I had the sashimi tasting plate, again. Words just can't describe the way this food melts in your mouth. It's is unreal. I could eat this every single day the rest of my life and not get sick of it.
google avatar

Val T.

Yelp
I've visited a couple of times while in town and am always impressed with how fresh and delicious their food is. Despite its location in an unassuming shopping plaza, the food is astounding. I did try a sushi roll last time I was there and while it was good I'd say their shining star is the sashimi/nigiri uncooked items. I'm so glad I found this spot. Service is good as well, they're attentive and quick.

Yelp
First time here and really enjoyed the variety. We ordered ours to-go but it wasn't that busy, wish we had eaten at the restaurant. Inside small and nothing exciting but good outdoor seating. Food was good. Definitely recommend the crispy spicy tuna for appetizer with sweet thai chili sauce (sauce not included, I had it at home, but it's bomb). The rainbow roll was also good. Calamari was meh, greasy and cold but again, it was take-out, you can expect cold food. Osaki roll was my husbands favorite. Salmon Avocado Roll was pretty average. Naruto roll lacked flavor but cucumber wraps normally do that. All the fish was fresh. Only sushi spot in Charlotte that hasn't upset my stomach. #win I'll definitely be back to try more creations. Also, it's a tad on the expensive side but the freshness is worth is.

John W.

Yelp
Everything I had was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. If you're looking for a good sushi place... this is it!
google avatar

Nina Q.

Yelp
If you're looking for fresh fish, great rice ratio and solid service, this is the place! Some of the freshest sushi I've had in the area, and at a pretty typical price. Everything was so delicious I forgot to take photos of half of it, but I highly recommend! Can be hard to get a table, so come early!

Lindsay B.

Yelp
This was the quality of the tuna tataki we were served. Over cooked, fatty, and mushy. IOur first and last time coming here.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Just wished they were closer to where I live! But that doesn't stop me from going ;) Prime Fish is a super un-assuming place, but their sushi is FANTASTIC. First started doing take out from them during pandemic times, but every time I'm in the area, I find an excuse to stop in or get take out. Staff is always great, especially in a time where shortages and the demand for food services is very challenging. I've never had a bad experience. Ordering ahead is key for me and they are spot on with the pickup time and text updates every time I've ordered ahead. To be completely honest, I only heard about this place after I was given a gift card from someone that looked up the place and couldn't be happier. Given the high praise and reviews, Prime Fish has lived up to the hype.

Edman S.

Yelp
Second time to Prime Fish, took the whole family this time. Amazing!!!!! Wish it were closer to us. Will be back!

Yelp
Ever drive by a restaurant several, several times and then one day you decide to try it, only to learn that the food is incredible and you've been missing out? That just happened to me. Of all the sushi I've had in my life (which is a decent amount) this is in my top five for taste, freshness and variety! It was fantastic. The different types of fish was impressive considering the restaurant isn't on the coast. As per usual, since this was our first time eating here, we wanted to try a variety of things. Miso and edamame are always a must as they are staples at any sushi restaurant. I have to say that the Miso was fine but not great. It tasted like it was too diluted. The truffle edamame was very good! It was simple, no sauces or the like, and it let the salt and edamame speak for itself. We also started with the crispy calamari and that was amazing. The rings were cooked totally on point and they had just the right amount of light batter so they weren't too crunchy to tear up my mouth, I hate that. My hubby got the 8 piece Chef Choice nigiri and loved it so much he ordered another one! Look at the price and that tells you all you need to know. I tasted a few of the second order and they were heavenly. The light dusting of lemon with the tiniest bit of spice, oh my gosh. Having to pick one favorite, his was the salmon belly and mine was the red snapper but seriously, all of them were incredible. He had the rainbow roll as well and I had Naruto (fantastic!) and Crispy Umami. I wouldn't get the Crispy again, only because with all the cold, freshness of everything else I had, the crispy shrimp, tempura flakes, rice and crispy sweet potato strings felt really heavy. But if you are a person who is new to sushi or it's not really your thing and you get dragged there kicking and screaming, then it's a great introductory roll. The room is small so at a busy time you may have a wait. We went on a Sunday afternoon though, and sat right away. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'm not well versed in sake but the selection seemed decent. Be prepared to spend a little bit more than at other sushi restaurants but in my opinion, it's worth every penny.
google avatar

Maddie W.

Yelp
This was the best sushi I have had in Charlotte! The sake yaki and the prime salmon role were our two favorites. The staff was very friendly and gave great suggestions.
google avatar

Jody S.

Yelp
A mall place with a big bite. A great date night affair with a small seating area but the best fish I have ever had. I could not stop eating and every order came out super fast and was better than the last. We started with beef carpaccio and black truffle salmon. Next we devoured as much sashimi and rolls as humanly possible. EVERYTHING was super fresh and tasted great. I cannot make a single recommendation over another because everything was excellent. PS - best hand rolls I have ever had.
google avatar

Angry J.

Yelp
The sushi was barely edible. Old stale fish. Tiny pieces of fish mixed with the oddest combinations like celery and giant chunks of jalapeño. Way overpriced for lousy food.
google avatar

Thom W.

Yelp
I'm not sure what to write about for this place. Everything was good but not great. It's not cheap but not outrageous. Inside is small and hard to get a table. Once seated service was outstanding. Sashimi slices were cut too thin for my liking. It was more like a carpaccio or tiradito. The specialty nigiri was really good. I probably would try something else next time I'm in town. I was super excited to come here, but was a little let down with the experience.

Josh C.

Yelp
This place is truly fantastic. Somewhat of a small and intimate interior, extremely friendly and attentive staff. The food speaks for itself with the quality of the fish and the careful presentation that every dish is served with. They have great sake and wine selections. Myself or a member of my family is in here weekly and if I want to impress someone this is my go to spot. I don't say this lightly but this is the best sushi spot in clt, it puts Baku, Yama, DOZO, Kuya, CO all in the gutter.
google avatar

Rick T.

Yelp
Excellent lunch definitely high end prices but it was well worth it for the experience. Japanese beers no one else seems to have in their restaurant. Go for everything on menu !!!
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
Prime fish was absolutely delicious! The chefs at the sushi bar were very friendly and made the vibe super welcoming. Try the hamachi kama appetizer, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Valarie J.

Yelp
We wanted sushi on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try Prime Fish. We were seated right away but I would say it is incredibly small and there is very limited seating. We sat outside on the patio. The staff was excellent. They were very attentive to our needs and paid extra attention to our need for GF options. They were so accommodating which really made the experience. I ordered Snow Crab Rangoon and the B Town roll. We got the Rainbow and Prime Tuna rolls as well. Everything was delicious and came out really fast. We enjoyed it. It is a little pricey with limited seating but the service was A+ so will be back for sure!
google avatar

Beverly W.

Yelp
Too bad. I so hoped it would be a close go-to place but unfortunately first-n-last try. Would not recommend even tho the counter seat area looked bustling with customers. One, there seem to be only three indoor tables n we were seated in the tiny hall leading to the restroom. Maybe if they camouflaged the restroom door? I don't know but maybe psychologically my problem but would you love to face it? And, the table was wobbly. Two, understandably wait ppl earn their tips but ours sort of overwhelmed us with "honey" this n "honey" that. Third, sushi rice preparation is what makes great sushi, and sadly no professionally trained sushi chef there. Sushi rice is an art, not slapped together n squeezed. Fourth, sashimi sampler platter was disappointingly not fresh n not cut properly or even thickly but thinly. For $42 we expected at least fresh sashimi pieces. Quite a few pieces were mushy, not in fresh flesh form. The fried calamari appetizer was okay but its mayo-ketchup sauce was too ordinary. The kitchen chef needs to up his/her game. The tea bag tea was served in a generous sized mug. Just leave the carafe of hot water with us instead of breaking our conversation with so many "honey...?"
google avatar

Bernard G.

Yelp
Fantastic find in Charlotte. I visit my son here, traveling from the west coast. The fish is of the highest quality, and only is the freshest and most in season fish served. Clearly the owner and chefs here know a lot about sushi. If you like mayonnaise rolls with fried tidbits floating in eel sauce then stay away, but if you appreciate the best fish, served in perfect bite sized portions then run here! Service is excellent, the wait staff take a lot of pride in this restaurant, I can tell.
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
I said it before, and I'll say it again - Prime Fish has the best quality fish in Charlotte! We sat outside for an early Valentines Day dinner, and it was perfect. Started with the beef carpaccio and hamachi. Delicious. Next, the sashimi tasting, which is a must (we got it last time as well). Ended with the Truffle Crab roll, which was one of the best rolls I've ever had.
google avatar

Matthew D.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Prime Fish. The food was delicious and the server was very helpful with recommendations and guiding us through an experience. The atmosphere is simple, but appropriate. If you're looking for an intimate date experience, this might not be the one. We went on a Wednesday evening and while it was pretty full, were able to be seated in only a couple of minutes. The time from ordering to eating was also quite fast for how busy it was.

Kirsten R.

Yelp
The tuna rolls had a fishy taste unlike others I've had before. Calamari was super chewy. Won't go back. Waiter was super nice.

Tim B.

Yelp
We test several kinds, very tasty sushi, nice decorated and served restaurant itself pleasant , friendly stuff. Could pay more attention to cleanliness of restrooms
google avatar

Marie D.

Yelp
I don't consider myself to be a sushi snob lol but living in LA I have been to many different sushi places. This place definitely has the quality and freshness for Nc. I was really surprised when I went here the plating and quality of the fish was just amazing. It is a bit pricey but well worth the quality of the sushi. I would pay up for good quality sushi/nigiri any day. The service was great of course. The food came out in a timely manner. We sat at the bar and were able to watch the sushi chef make everything. The restaurant is a bit tiny and far from where we lived but it was well worth the drive. I can't wait to come back and try some more sushi/sashimi when I go back to NC.

Adam S.

Yelp
Mediocre food with a high price tag. For the price of the menu I expect to be wow'd, at a minimum high caliber fresh seafood. Calamari was heavily breaded and rubbery, specialty roll was dry and lacked flavor, nigiri was "ok". The place came off more of a gimmick to fleece people looking to flex a la caviar, truffles, and wagyu. The epitome of this concept is when you order a water, they open a $4 smart water bottle. There's much better places to go in the area if you want a premium sushi experience or much cheaper places if you want a mediocre experience.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! From the sake selection (biggest I've seen in Charlotte) to the attentive staff, the whole dinner experience was wonderful. The restaurant is on the smaller side, with majority outdoor or bar seating, so plan ahead and get there early (first come first serve). I recommend sitting at the bar, because it's an awesome experience to watch them prepare everything in front of you, and the chefs are super informative if you engage them! We tried calamari, crispy tuna appetizer, truffle salmon, and the snow crab rangoons. NOTHING disappointed. Each app comes with approximately 4 pieces or on a small plate.. good for sharing. For dinner, the table split umi spoons (sea urchin) and the nigiri tasting. These were both new to me, but everything was fresh as could be and tasted phenomenal! I'm a big sauce girl, but even the nigiri was exceptional without. For special rolls, we had the prime salmon, prime tuna, and sake yake. Each one was a great portion and didn't dissapoint taste-wise. My favorites for the night were the crispy tuna, the calamari, nigiri tasting, and sake yake roll
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
The sushi was incredible! The Prime Tuna roll was perfectly prepared and delicious on every bite. The ginger salad was great too. Prime sushi is pricey but it's definitely quality. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Do you like sushi? Like, really like it? Go to Prime Fish. It is an intimate space with solid service and fresh sushi. I go for lunch and always enjoy myself. The chefs know what they are doing and it's fun to watch if you're sitting at the bar. On my most recent visit, I tried the Rainbow, Dragon, and Squidward rolls. All were thoughtfully prepared and presented. If you're interested, there are also lunch specials and sake. I'll have to come back for both. So far, I've just been trying to work my way through all of the specialty rolls and I have yet to be disappointed. So if you like real sushi, please check them out! See you there!

Yelp
Easily one of my top sushi restaurants in Charlotte! Small and low key, service and sushi are always on point! The fish is super fresh. The appetiser and drink selections are also great. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to satisfy their sushi cravings.

Yelp
Services are quick. Ingredients are really fresh. The menu is shorter, but the selections are quite representative that you should find the pieces you would want.

Yelp
Solid option for fresh fish in Charlotte! We are moving here soon, so it has already put our minds at ease that we'll have a sushi hookup. We like our sushi with simple ingredients and not reliant on sauce. Every roll was so refreshing. Black truffle salmon: 8/10, each salmon sashimi has shavings of truffle on top making it the perfect bites...hot tip, save the truffle oil and use it with traditional rolls Salmon prime roll: 9/10, our favorite roll...simple ingredients but a kick of spice from the aioli Hamagi roll: 8/10 Naruto roll: 7/10 Salmon roll: 8/10, a great amount of fish to rice ratio and very fresh Tuna roll: 8/10, same here...fish to rice ratio was awesome and super fresh It's pretty expensive and the service wasn't great (at least when we went...around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday), but the food was so good that we will certainly be back when we want to splurge.

Yelp
We came here on a Wednesday for lunch with our daughter. While it is compact the seating area outside when Charlotte weather cooperates it could be a nice afternoon delight. We started with miso soup's and a seaweed salad. Both were very nice treat and Prepared us for upcoming rolls. As far as our roles ago we went with a California roll and a dragon roll I thoroughly enjoyed the dragon roll and my wife enjoyed her California roll. They were able to sub the smoked salmon for raw salmon in the California roll which was a nice surprise. The staff was extremely courteous the food came out in a very timely manner and everything was on par. Please be aware the sodas are bottled and all of the plating is disposable. Not that this is a complaint but just an editors footnote.
