"The figurative splash this Winter Park seafood house makes with its dedicated clientele now extends to the brunchtime hours where early risers revel in such dishes as wild-caught Mayport, Florida shrimp and grits and blue crab and sweet potato hash. BOGO brunch cocktails keep the gathered slaked as do other such morning potables as Bloody Marys, mimosas, sangrias, and tequila sunrises. Offered weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Faiyaz Kara

Blaine is the best waiter we've ever had anywhere. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The trout sandwich was very good. The fish portion was huge, and the batter was delicious. But the kitchen is very, very slow. We tried the carrot cake. It is made on site and comes to the table steaming. The cake is tasty but doesn't taste like carrot cake. It doesn't have many nuts either. It is great with coffee, but I missed the carrot flavor. The atmosphere is very nice and there is off street parking . On street parking is so difficult in that area it was terrific to park with ease. I suggest you go here for a nice meal. Ask for Blaine, you won't be disappointed.

Fresh delicious seafood served in many tempting offerings. We enjoyed calamari and fresh oysters for appetizers. Some of the calamari were tough but the majority were tender. The oysters were fresh and flavorful. Two of us had cod dinners which were excellently seasoned, sides had okra which I love served with the right amount of spice. The scallops and shrimp were perfectly cooked and delicious. The fish chowder was a red based one that really was a little bland. The service was great and the restaurant is definitely one I will return to and recommend. Key lime pie for dessert was a real treat

Google
Excellent service and chefs choice was OUTSTANDING!! Love the atmosphere and menu choices. Our bartender, Shianne, made the best espresso martini!!!

Google
My family and I were looking for fresh seafood in the area so I went on google and this gem popped up! The service was great, the food was amazing and the portions were perfect (just enough to take home). 🙌

Google
Very good food -- we ordered the fried tomatoes app (it was amazing), dozen oysters (definitely recommend) and the Grouper Ceviche (which was very good too)! I ordered the whole yellowtail at market price -- and it was very nicely done! It was battered and fried nicely and the inside was very tender. My husband ordered the fish BLT sandwich and was not impressed, but all of the other foods were yummy & the drinks were good, but nothing too surprising or stellar there. Service was attentive; but we were there early on a Friday just after they opened!

Google
It's a place that will probably become "Your" go to spot in Winter Park. Service was almost on point. (Really busy). You should have a reservation. Good feeling atmosphere.

Google
We really love this spot. The food is reliably great. I've been making it a point to eat here at least once every time I visit from out of town. The salmon is great. I've also enjoyed the whole fried snapper on a previous visit. The desserts are homemade and also fantastic, especially the key lime pie and carrot cake.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! I went with a friend after work and they have the best happy hour. My tab came out to $25 which is so hard to find after prices have gone up so much for eating out nowadays. That was for 2 drinks and my meal. Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere is very casual. They have a happy hour drinks and food menu which is actually pretty extensive. I ended up having the chicken sliders and the red sangria which I really enjoyed. The chicken sliders were a really good size too so I couldn't even finish my second one and had to take it to go. They had other incredible looking options on the menu so I will definitely be coming back to check out their other offerings.

Yelp
I've been visiting Reel Fish for quite some time now, from their happy hour specials to their dinner items! In this visit I wasn't suuuper hungry but... one look at their menu and I changed my mind I was pleased to know that they do a la cart oysters as apps! You can get as many or little as you like. I tried the baked oysters with Parmesan and they were gooood. We also tried their fried fish sandwhich and MAN was that a SANDWHICH. It was the perfect level of flakiness and paired with a delicious aioli

Yelp
My husband and I have been to this gem of a restaurant many times. We have never eaten at this quaint, cozy, restaurant and been disappointed. All this month (June 2024) on Wednesday, Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen is offering 50% off oysters. They offer 4 different types of oysters. The gulf oysters, which we chose were of a very nice size and sweet...very delicious, and is 50% off. Ask your server for details. Aside from the oysters that we throughly enjoyed, my husband chose the Lobster Roll, which was loaded with lobster meat, unlike many other restaurants. He also had their delicious coleslaw. Many restaurants DON'T know how to make delicious coleslaw. This place does. Besides my delicious oysters, I ordered the Oyster Po Boy, which made my tastes buds do a happy dance. Lightly battered oysters (about 8-10 oysters) on a French bread roll with lettuce and tomato Absolutely mouthwatering, and I also had their wonderful sweet coleslaw. If you have never been to this delightful restaurant before, you must treat yourself. You will definitely be returning for more.

Yelp
We had a lunch break so we walked from the coffee house we were at to Reel Fish for what turned out to be some oysters and a burger (at least with me with a gluten-free bun). Located on Orange Avenue in Winter Park, they are known for their seafood.so we indulged in that. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We had our food and drinks fast upon order. My reel burger with gluten-free bun was great and satisfying. The fries were filling but there it is. Oysters were a mixed bag. The Gulf oysters were meaty and wonderful with great brine on the finish. While I enjoyed the meat on the Katoona Beach oysters from Massachusetts and Quonset Bay from Rhode Island, I found them quite flimsy. There wasn't a lot of meat to them, so that was a little disappointing. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the restaurant and would come back to try more items.

Yelp
Oh man this place bailed us out big time! We were in FL on vacation to visit the parks but I had to sneak in one day of fishing. We caught some nice snapper and a sea bass but we're staying in a hotel. I called several restaurants that couldn't help us out, the last call luckily was to Reel Fish (the name reminds me of the 90's ska band Reel Big Fish) and they said bring your catch on down! We had pecan crusted fish as an appetizer, then a grilled fish entree and even a deep fried whole fish entree. Everything was excellent, wish we lived closer so we could come back. Thanks to our server Skyler and the rest of the crew.

Jamel V.

Yelp
Came in for a casual lunch with a coworker. The service was top notch! And the food was pretty good. The apps weren't my most favorite but the lobster roll was very good and the fried shrimp and good crisp and flavor. It was fast and the outside tables although don't offer the best views or vibe did offer the opportunity for fresh air.

Yelp
Hands down the best happy hour I've been to in Orlando. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. Happy hour runs until 7pm. We had a big group and two babies with us so I was thrilled when they said happy hour extended beyond the bar area. They really went out of their way to accommodate the kids. My sons fish and chips came out so fast! They have juice boxes and covered cups of water. Their menu has a coloring page on the back and they provide wax toys at the table. I was amazed. I HIGHLY recommend if you have kids. We tried almost the entire happy hour menu only skipping the sliders and it was all very good. The firecracker shrimp were a table favorite and should not be missed. The peel and eat shrimp were huge and fresh and perfectly cooked. The fish tacos are a very generous portion . If you are going out on a budget those tacos (which come with rice) and their white sangria are a perfect meal. The clam strips were crispy and salty and a wonderful addition to happy hour. Their raw oysters were served with a marvelous fresh vinegar with cucumber that really stood out. Our server Roni was so great!!!! Seriously don't miss Thai happy hour. It's so fresh, so local, and so very enjoyable!!! I will be back 10/10

James G.

Yelp
$9 for a side of fries.....that were old. I have tried this place three times and I have always questioned whether I would return. This seals the deal. No. Fish tacos were average at best.

Jenn M.

Yelp
We made reservations at this Orange Ave., Fish place on a busy Saturday night, and we were really impressed with the level of service and speed of service. The food we ordered was good... Especially loved the Seafood Fritters and the Brussels. The Shrimp & Grits were good but a little lacking in flavor. The interior was bright and clean... not particularly romantic, but a cool vibe. The fish was fresh and we'll be back to try more.

Dee H.

Yelp
In town visiting friends and this was a last minute choice. From the apps to the main corpses, Reel Fish hit the mark. Our server, Nicole, was awesome. She knew the menu and was so engaging with us. We say outside but the umbrella was large enough to keep all six of us shaded. I would come back again

Gabe M.

Yelp
We are not into seafood, but we've been here so many times I've lost count. Also, one of the best kept secret happy hours in town, with the right hours. We will keep coming back. One of our favorite drinks is the red sangria, because it has this nice spice to it that's really unique. You'd never think to order that at a seafood restaurant but just do it. You'll love it. You really can't go wrong with anything on this menu, except for MAYBE the cornbread. It has onions and things in it, but if you like that...you'll love it. I can't really describe any go-to items, but I love the gumbo, the pasta, the salmon, and my husband loves all the fish camp classics. I think they used to have a clam chowder but haven't seen it on the menu it a while. Finally you must must must try the fries. They will bring you back to that Happy Meal feeling you had as a kid, if you know what I mean. ;-) Check out Reel Fish if you haven't yet. Excellent service, and quite lively, with all the local Florida vibes. You'll feel like you're on the coast.

Shelby F.

Yelp
I've always seen the restaurant and it has always been busy but honestly it is not worth the hype. The service was very slow but besides that, the food was just weird. The deviled eggs were new on the menu but it had almost no flavor and a weird sweet jam which made the dish super confusing. The tacos smelled TERRIBLE when they came, I think because of the seasoning and the tacos were so insanely salty, even my boyfriend wouldn't eat my tacos.

Simran B.

Yelp
We visited Reel Fish on a Saturday night around 7pm. The place was packed, but we had a reservation so we were seated outside immediately. Our waitress was awesome (I think her name was Jasmine but I might be wrong). She gave excellent recommendations, and she checked in on us frequently. We started with some oysters. I love the selection of oysters here. They have a lot to choose from which isn't easy to do. We got a dozen and they came out pretty quick, and they were very fresh. They were served with cocktail sauce and horseradish as well as mignonette. I LOVED their mignonette sauce. Next, I got the pecan crusted rainbow trout and a side of fried okra. The fish was cooked nicely, and I really enjoyed the texture, but it was a little underseasoned. I had to add both salt and pepper, and I found myself wishing I had some paprika or something to add. The texture was very nice, but the taste was just lacking. The fried okra were so. Good. They were nice full pieces that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I'd definitely order those again. For drinks, we both had a couple of lightning bugs, which are a great drink. It's a balanced, refreshing drink served with one of those flowers that makes your mouth tingly. I'd definitely recommend trying to make the little flower last by eating a little at a time. The flavor of it enhances the entire drink. We finished up with a slice of key lime pie, which was Huge. The filling was delicious, tart and sweet. The crust was lovely. I have 0 regrets about that. Overall, it was an awesome meal with great service. I did dock a star because of the under seasoning of the fish, but I'd definitely return.

Destiny V.

Yelp
Always love to dine at the bar. The bartenders are super friendly and they have a really great Happy hour. Brenden is so delightful to talk to and he's very knowledgeable! Nice dim atmosphere great for date night. They have many choices in oysters

Natalie R.

Yelp
Maybe this restaurant is just for the looks of it. Everything about this place I couldn't exactly "get into". It's super busy on a Friday Night, which is always a great sign. Service was a little slow, despite it being busy. Took a while to get our drinks so we just went with water and made our order before that took up more hangry time lol. Our server was cool and chill and to the point and relatable, no complaint. Food was just decent. Spinach artichoke dip tasted like the earth. The cheese was hard as heck. My bf got pasta/soup. It was aight in flavor nothing I can't do at home. And the firecracker shrimp was prob my fave time that saved me omg. It was amazing. I got a side of Caesar it was aight. The seafood is fresh it's just all basic. I'll get the shrill Togo if anything but eh

Yelp
My husband booked a reservation here while in the area. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table for two, but a group of 5 came in with no reservation and was seated immediately. The place was super busy, and everyone around us seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Once we were seated the table was a little small but our waitress, Jasmine, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and was an all around great waitress. I had the PEI Mussels and my husband had the peel and eat shrimp, both were wonderful. I had the North Beach Salad with the Catch of the day, Red Fish. Let me tell you... I'm going to be dreaming about that salad for a long time! All of the flavors combined so well, it was light but filling. Seriously, I don't think I've had a better salad. Anywhere. My husband ordered the filet mignon, it was cooked perfectly, but definitely under seasoned. It came with a baked potato that was... let's say baked a little too much. The atmosphere, I liked the lighting and decor, but there needs to be some sort of soft material to lower the noise volume. The sounds from all of the tables were bouncing off of every surface and it was just loud! I'm a person who my voice carries, but my husband was having a hard time hearing me with the volume of the room. There was a couple who had a toddler with them that kept his ears covered because of the noise in the room. Honestly, this was the biggest draw back for me and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Toni D.

Yelp
Nice happy hour from 4-7pm with several options for drinks and appetizers. My favorite was the bang bang shrimp. Check-in on Yelp and get a free fried okra.

Leang E.

Yelp
We came here for lunch upon recommendation and it has great ambiance going for it. There's a casual coastal open vibe to it. We shared the ceviche which was good. I don't know if I care for the chip choice as it was too thick for my taste as it was like a crispy fried wonton wrapper. I also went with the shrimp rigatoni with the option to be spicy. This was just ok for me. The sauce was an interesting consistency and more on the sweet side and not really spicy at all. It wasn't quite the seafood pasta I had in mind. I should have gotten some type of seafood sandwich. At this point though I don't think I could recommend or go back.

Tuong-Chi P.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 4 and were seated right away. Nicole, our server came to say hello and took our drink orders, a pilsner, 2 glasses of Riesling with a funky name Crazy Kungfu Girl, and a Sunset Sangria. All were excellent. We sampled a few appetizers with Rockerfeller Oysters, Grilled Otopus, and Shrimp Crackers (oh, the sauce is superb!). We shared the main courses with the Deep fried whole fish with okra, Sea Scallops, Linguistic Pasta with Sauce (we meant to order the Clams and should have asked Nicole). Even the french fries were made from scratch, never got harden after a while. Great seafood place, folks.

N W.

Yelp
Always excellent! The service, food and atmosphere never ever disappoints! I am always sure that I will leave with a happy smile and full tummy!

Jo D.

Yelp
I came here solely for their lobster roll! I was so happy to find out I came during their happy hour for drinks! I love how the restaurant has an open concept. The ambiance felt light, airy, and refreshing! They had seating inside and outside. Our server was incredibly sweet! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions I had. The lobster was very fresh! My only downside was that I wish it came with a garlic butter sauce. But overall the food was great and I will definitely come back!

Rosko L.

Yelp
PROS: This place is family owned and the family is there everyday. It is such a beautiful place with a great three room layout. The main bar area has dimmer lighting and makes you feel fancy. They sell fresh fish, oysters, and even little burgers during happy hour. Happy hour wines are $6 from the hours of 4-7pm. All deserts are homemade! Service: The service here was phenomenal. Roni(male) ran the bar while also serving. Never once missed a beat. Full glasses of water, extra sauces, and alcoholic beverages were common. Really great smiles from all staff. Makes you feel at home. FOOD: Pecan-crusted rainbow Trout was the most tasteful trout I have ever had. The burgers were delicious and juicy. Lastly, the salmon was the most rich in taste. The flavor was strong, yet subtle.

Tamiko F.

Yelp
We had a superb brunch at Reel Fish. Our server, Luis was delightful, ask for him. Seated oats I in a beautiful Saturday the BOGO sangria, mimosa, bloody Marys and tequila sunrise hit the spot. We had on the house muffins, ordered fried green tomato, burrata salad little honeys oysters and then entrees. For entrees 2 Fish Camp breakfast (add fried grouper) and shrimp and grits. Everybody's meal was perfect! The flavors were on point, the seafood was fresh and the service was amazing! It was my first time but not my last.

Ra S.

Yelp
Reel Fish is my go to in Orlando for Happy Hour! Don't get me wrong the food here is REALLY good; I have been for brunch and dinner but the happy hour is unmatched! Get all of it: the oyster shooter, raw or baked oysters, hand-battered clam strips, firecracker shrimp, and especially the peel and eat strip with Old Bay. The atmosphere is super chill with a Cape Cod kinda of vibe. I most enjoy dining al fresco her. Tuesday - Thursday you can probably slide in with no reservation but on Fridays do yourself a favor and plan ahead and they can easily accommodate groups if you call ahead.

Annemarie B.

Yelp
We tried some new food during this visit to Reel Fish and it wasn't seafood. My rating stays at 5 stars but I do prefer the seafood. Unfortunately the medium burger was super rare and my husband only ate the outsides of it. He refuses to send his food back so they didn't have a chance to make it right and I know they would have. The manager (maybe owner) is constantly walking around and checking in on tables. I enjoyed the salad and fresh avocado and even had enough to bring half home and the drinks are always perfect! The service is outstanding at Reel Fish. We've eaten here for years and never had a bad server! You really feel welcome and comfortable. We also mixed it up and ate inside this time. The bar is a fun place to sit and as a more formal option you can request the main dining room. Both are lovely!

Melinda S.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot for a while, and my bf and I had a weekday off together and decided to check them out for lunch. The inside was welcoming with cool decor and ample dining space. They also have outdoor seating available. Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly. I took advantage of the Yelp check in offer for free fried okra. It was a huge serving for a complimentary item! The okra was lightly breaded and not greasy, but not a lot of seasoning in the batter itself. The horseradish sauce was really good though. For our entrees, I chose the baja style tacos with blackened fish. My bf ordered the fish camp classic meal with fried clam strips. The food was well presented, but I honestly wasn't wowed by it. The fish portion in my tacos was on the small side and even with blackened seasoning didn't have a lot of flavor. The jalapeño lime mayo also lacked flavor. The rice was pretty good. My boyfriend liked his clam strips, but again a kind of skimpy portion. The basket was mostly fries. For the prices, I was just expecting a bit more and we both found everything fairly average. We liked the look of their brunch menu and may return at some point to try one of those items to give them another try.

Maha K.

Yelp
The restaurant has a casual and nice seafood ambiance. One of the first things I noticed while walking up to the entrance was their black board listing their daily specials. Thought that was a nice touch! For a seafood restaurant, I would recommend it in the general Orlando area. They cover your basics like creamy grits, raw oysters, and fried fish and fries. The highlight during dinner was when one of the chefs brought out the carrot cake fresh from the oven. Perfect temperature, texture, and flavor(also not too sweet)! Notes: Parking can be limited. There's a small lot in the back or street parking. Would recommend making reservations The bathroom is a one stall ( expect to wait)

Mansi P.

Yelp
Their oysters were good, slightly fishy to me but my friend liked them. Their shrimp and grits were delicious, full of flavor! The gumbo was super spicy. I don't mind some soice but wish they had options to reduce the heat a bit (mild/medium options would've been great). Will be back to try to the items on their menu. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Tim M.

Yelp
It's a very popular place so wait times are common, even with a reservation. Pros: the ceviche and raw oysters are well done. Two thumbs up! Entrees we had were the very popular Pecan encrusted trout and the Red Fish (catch of the day special) blackened. Pecan on trout overpowered what is already a very mild fish. Dry in your mouth and all you taste is the breading. The blackened red fish was just a lackluster. Would not recommend either. As for ambiance it's a cute place but the noise level is such that you will have a hard time hearing from across the table.

Shannon T.

Yelp
I love crab cakes, but I wasn't a fan of this one. It looked really good, but didn't taste very fresh

Sasha P.

Yelp
This was a fun dinner! I'd never been here before but it was convenient and pretty tasty. We sat outside to take advantage of the good weather and had a nice dinner. This is a casual spot with a nice atmosphere - an easy place to eat. I have a shellfish allergy so I was a bit limited with menu options, but the spinach artichoke dip and burger were awesome. My dad had a TON of oysters and was living his best life feasting - apparently they were good! Our server checked on us regularly and the food and drinks came out timely. Overall a good experience!

Apryl C.

Yelp
Had lunch at 1pm on a Thursday with a friend and it was lovely. The place was not that busy at all which was nice for us as we felt like we had our server CeCe all to ourselves. However I'm certain even if they were packed she would provide amazing service. The inside of the restaurant is clean and spacious. We tried the fish dip - fresh and clearly smoked in house as there were good pieces of meat in the dip. We also had the peel and eat shrimp which were good but a smidge overcooked which made them hard to peal. We also had a pick two platter with shrimp and scallops. Both were well cooked but the portion seemed small for the price (3 shrimp and 3 scallops) the fries that came with the platter were cold when it came out but the hushpuppies were perfectly crisp and has a great flavor. We also had a Caesar salad which was honestly just a salad. It wasn't bad but also had nothing that made me remember it. I would absolutely go back to this space for that fish dip and the cocktails! Overall a great experience. Sadly we scarfed down all our food while gossiping and I failed to take photos!

Milt K.

Yelp
The service sucks! It does not take all damn day to receive appetizers (dozen of oysters) or beer. I mean come on. I should just walk the fuuc out! You make reservations and you still get fuuc! I do not recommend this place for dining... I have previously dined at your restaurant on three occasions and never had a problem at your restaurant. Your food is great. But this past Friday (January 12), the service was terrible. First, your hostess appeared agitated as my spouse asked could we seat in a different area. Your hostess response was--"oh, I have to ask the manager." Our server, Louis, did his job--he greeted us in a timely manner, asked and provided us for drinks and checked on us throughout our stay, even when we did not receive our appetizer (a dozen oysters). It started to seem suspicious when other tables around us were receiving oysters and we did not receive our order. You never came to see me. I spoke with a lady at the front desk because she came to our table. My spouse waved her over. Unfortunately, she took the brunt of my complaint. And yes, she provided my spouse with a $40 gift card for future use. And yes, things do happen, but you as the owner, you never spoke to me as you reference in this response. Let me make a few suggestions-as the owner/manager/leader, you should have done a few things: 1) admit you screwed up and provide customers with options so you can keep him/her coming back to your restaurant, 2) talk with the customer and see what you can do to "right" the situation. Sometimes this may mean paying the customer bill in its entirety. It is not my fault that you do not have adequate staff, trained personnel, an engaged kitchen manager who knows what is going on, and so on. Again, I am not recommending anyone to visit your restaurant to include myself. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Chase C.

Yelp
Started with a dozen oysters Rockefeller they were huge! all together they cost $48. The low country boil was actually pretty good everything had flavor and was tender. The finish was key lime I've had better in Oklahoma idly. I'll keep searching for the best!

DeeAnn G.

Yelp
We have been here about 4 times now because it is always so good! Never had a bad meal here! We recently came here for Bite 30 and again were NOT disappointed! Everything was outstanding! Great cocktails and large wine selection. Try the Lightning Bug drink with the buzz bud, it's quite fun and interesting! The portion sizes are quite generous, and Simone is our fave server! Our favorite dishes are the pecan crusted trout and the smoked fish dip appetizer. The fried green tomatoes are so yummy, but huge. The coconut cake is to die for! We will continue to come back here often!

Tyler T.

Yelp
Really happy Reel Fish exists. Tried it for the first time 10.11 and loved it. I wanted to order everything on the menu and was torn between the low country boil and the swordfish, finally decided on the swordfish. The fish was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Drinks were solid. Our server was very warm and knew her stuff, great service. Overall very fresh, well prepared fish for a good price. I will be back. Most importantly- get the corn bread. This thing is delicious. May need a nap after eating. Very memorable.

Joelle S.

Yelp
We came for Bite30 and we all enjoyed our food and appreciated the large portions. We especially liked the carrot cake.

Erin S.

Yelp
We love coming to reel fish! The ambiance inside paired with the the Happy hour food and drink menu T-Fri 4-7 is the best! we got the oysters peel and eat shrimp and the firecracker shrimp! We are usually full enough then split a main to share and tonight we got that red snapper that was coconut crusted. Drinks on the happy hour menu range from beers to wine to sangria and wells. Loved the service tonight as our waiter was attentive to ask us if we needed anything before happy hour ended at 7. We prefer to sit inside since the restaurants located on the street and the ambiance inside is perfect! Also would recommend to ask the fish specials as they are all local catch and fresh. this menu is featured on the board when you walk in!

Indera H.

Yelp
I would rate my experience 3.5. There were hits and misses, but for the most part we landed right in the middle with the food. We came here on a Friday night for magical dining. I checked in on Yelp and received a free fried okra appetizer. I love fried okra, but not a fan of theirs, it lacked seasoning and the batter fell right off, at the end I ended up with a plate of batter. Our friends were very excited to try the fried green tomatoes and I had the spinach/artichoke dip, which was good. As for the fried green tomatoes, they were a miss for everyone at the table. The sauce on the plate was not appetizing and the tomatoes were fried in the same batter as the okra, no seasoning. The entrees chosen were the pecan crusted rainbow trout and the shrimp rigatoni. I enjoyed the rigatoni and everyone else really liked the trout but the green bean side dish was too salty to eat. No complaints about the desserts, we had the brownie and carrot cake, our friend loved his brownie, my carrot cake tasted more like a spice cake, very delicious, warm and loved the cream on top. Service was great and we like the decor of the restaurant. There was ample outdoor seating as well. If I'm in the neighborhood, I will definitely give this another try.

Yelp
Food is good. Service is insanely slow & unresponsive at the bar. It was like pulling teeth to get an order for a drink & then we said we were having dinner at the bar....had to ask for a menu....had to ask if they would take our order, then one of the three items was forgotten.....it's not just me, everyone around us was having the same exact experience. I can't figure out what the issue is, but this isn't the first time we have had extremely slow service at this bar. I want it to be good enough to add it to our "go to" places...but....there are other places I would recommend over here.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming here. The vibes/decor are a bit stuffy but overall a really good neighborhood spot with fresh seafood and a really great happy hour! They have an extensive list of oysters which was super impressive. I've had the Shrimp po'boys, bang bang shrimp, key lime pie, all really good! Service was great! Everyone is friendly and the manager is always around. My server was Cici* she was awesome, gave us really good recommendations and was beyond attentive. Definitely going back for brunch!

Yelp
After our first experience this was not a place we "Reely" considered trying again. However, we found ourselves in Winter Park wanting fish. It was great from host to bartender. We sat at the bar. Food quality was great and service attentive. Be prepared for lots of fried fish options.

Yelp
We've been to Reel Fish a number of times since that first review (incl. a NYE dinner). This latest round, we came with friends, ostensibly to take advantage of Bite 30. But once we realized that there's a HH menu, and perused it, we can kiss ideas of B30 goodbye. First and foremost are the $9 oysters (6 pc) - if you've priced oysters lately, you can't even buy them yourself at that price, let alone have them shucked served on ice, and presented with mignonette and other accoutrements. At Cap Grille, those same oysters would be $42 for the dozen rather than $18. We also ordered fish and shrimp tacos, and a clam strip app (all at $10 each). Tacos were fresh and a pretty generous duo, served with a large scoop of rice, lest you go hungry. The clam strips were sub-par - properly fried, but neither the batter nor the clam itself had much taste to it. Several selections of wines at $6, and draughts at $5 (along with well drinks). Service was a little slow at times and because they were so busy on a Friday evening. Noise level on the bar side, especially, was sky-high, given the enclosure of brick walls (we asked to be moved). Even by the time we left (past HH), there was a line out the door. In these days of chains and independent after independent fail in this crazy resto business (time to watch Big Night Out again, perhaps), it was heart-warming to see Fred and Reel Fish doing so well.

Yelp
I googled "best restaurants in Winter Park" and Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen & Bar was in the top ten, so I decided to check them out since it looked more laid back atmosphere, I mean, I didn't want to overdress for Winter Park's casual scene, you know? To start, I ordered a refreshing Seaside Margarita, which was infused with fresh pineapple and brown sugar. It was ok, but I couldn't find the salt on the rim of the glass, Maybe they forgot to go to the beach? The decor was on point, with hanging portraits on the ceiling that had various fishing themes. It made me feel like I was at the beach, even though Winter Park is a little landlocked. For happy hour, I ordered 6 oysters for $9, which was a steal. They were plump, juicy, and fresh, just the way I like them. I also tried the fish tacos with cilantro rice, which were blackened with pineapple salsa and jalapeño lime mayo. They had a ton of flavor, but they came out cold. And let's talk about the firecracker shrimp - they were fried Florida shrimp coated in a zesty aioli that had a nice crunch, spicy, and zesty flavor. Jumbo shrimp, jumbo taste! I was feeling adventurous, so I ordered the fried okra. It was cornmeal battered and served with a horseradish dipping sauce. The portion was decent, but the taste was a bit greasy and not like the cuter, smaller pieces at Cracker Barrel. Service was ok, but nothing to write home about. Overall, Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen & Bar is worth a visit, especially for happy hour oysters and firecracker shrimp that will blow your mind (and maybe your tastebuds).

Yelp
Great Brunch. The food and drink were phenomenal and the prices were reasonable. Exceptional service and fantastic ambiance.

Yelp
Our first time here and we were seated promptly. They first chose a table for four, but we preferred a booth--a good choice since the noise level escalated as the night went on. We enjoyed the Happy Hour drink discounts--wine for $6 and beer for $5. A bonus was the Yelp Check-in offer of Fried Okra. It was fried with a light batter, whole, with a sour cream dip. Excellent. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Corn Chowder with a tinge of heat--so good! We shared the low-country boil with clams, crab, corn, andouille sausage, shrimp and okra. Our guests had the fried shrimp basket and the Happy Hour fried clams basket with cheese grits. It was all very good. Our only negative was the slow service and the noise factor. Parking was limited as well. But we will definitely return! The food was that good! Maybe we'll come on a week night instead of a busy Friday.

Yelp
I've been to Reel Fish about five times, including lunch, happy hour, and dinner. While their happy hour is a good deal, I wasn't very excited by the quality of the oysters or peel-and-eat shrimp for some reason, and normally I'm a fan of Mayport shrimp. The oysters are gulf oysters, but I prefer something a bit more flavorful. That said, the mignonette was yummy! For lunch, I ordered their Oyster Po' Boy and wouldn't order it again. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a bit plain and basic. The surprising stand outs at Reel Fish are the desserts! I was with a large group and we spontaneously decided to go all-in and try three: the key lime pie, the carrot cake, and the bread pudding. My personal favorite was definitely the carrot cake. I can honestly say it's one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had, with a touch of orange and spices. I would go back just for that! Others in our group loved the key lime pie the most, and I'll admit, it was excellent. The bread pudding was very good too, but the stand outs were clearly the carrot cake and key lime pie. The service is pretty good, and I think it's rare to find a nice and open dining room plus outdoor seating. As for parking, there is a small lot behind the restaurant, street parking, or at select times, valet as well. I may not be in a rush to return to Reel Fish, but it is somewhere to keep in mind. Who knows, maybe you'll find their other hidden gems on the menu!

Yelp
I was on the hunt for something local (Orlando) that made me want to write home (DFW) about, so I tried this spot I found online. The decor was excellent and so was the service... but let's get down to the nitty gritty! Started out with the firecracker shrimp which indeed had a kick to it and very flavorful. Crispy too. 6.9 out of 10 I ordered the Pecan crusted rainbow trout with grits instead of green beans - had pork in there so passed on those- along with seasoned potatoes. The trout was good, not amazing. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked well. The grits ,on the other hand, were runny and supposedly had cheese in there. Yes, another establishment struggling in the cheese grits department. Trout 7 out 10. Potatoes 7.2 out of 10. Grits 1.5 out of 10. The server replaced the grits with a tasty salad ... which was much better. I then ordered the carrot cake for dessert and well... the end or butt of the cake was very good along with the icing. The majority of the cake was a bit too moist which seemed to mask the flavor. Perhaps if the cake was baked a little longer, would've been a better cake all around. 2.9 out of 10. I liked how the server was attentive and swapped silverware and napkins between the courses. Overall still looking for a spot here in Orlando that is straight This one... 6 out of 10.
