"If Roman restaurants have become known for brusque, no-nonsense service, Hosteria Grappolo d’Oro did not get the message. Affable servers circulate through the dining rooms beneath exposed wooden beams, delivering pure versions of cucina romana classics like toothsome tonnarelli cacio e pepe and tender roasted suckling lamb. Best for: The 36 euro, four-course Roman tasting menu is one of Rome’s best deals." - Katie Parla

"Situated near Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori, this long-established restaurant has been run by five local business partners (one of whom is the chef) since 2000. Top-quality, classic and generous Roman cuisine is to the fore here, served in a simple, rustic-style dining room which is always busy (hardly surprising, given the location!). Dishes include pasta with the famous sauces of Rome (amatriciana, carbonara and cacio e pepe), as well as meatballs, puntarelle, and maritozzo with cream. We highly recommend the “Percorso Romano” tasting menu which includes four small courses for just over 30 euros." - Michelin Inspector

"Hosteria Grappolo d'Oro is recommended by The MICHELIN Guide as a place to try Roman specialties." - The MICHELIN Guide

"A restaurant in Rome where you can tuck into excellent pasta dishes." - The MICHELIN Guide
"“Another iconic Roman spot in the city center. It’s in between Piazza Navona. I grew up near here because my grandmother had a little apothecary, so I was working there after school. My first kiss was in one of those alleyways in Piazza Navona. It’s the heart of the working class of Rome. Great atmosphere and great food—super mammone. Again, very Roman. [My go-to order is] amatriciana. I love red sauces more than cheesy sauces. Between cacio e pepe and amatriciana, I’d always choose amatriciana. Start with a great glass of red wine. You’re set.” We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
