All the 2025 California MICHELIN Bib Gourmands

"It may not look like much from the outside, but I understand why pho lovers flock to this unassuming strip-mall operation: the staff and ambience offer above-average charm, but it's the cooking—made with care and high-quality ingredients—that really sets it apart. Pho is the main event, available in a variety of sizes with chicken or beef broths long-simmered and deeply flavorful and topped with tender meats or house-made pork wontons; fried crab and cream cheese wontons are offered, though I steer diners toward fresh spring rolls such as the signature filled with crispy pork sausage and served with a tangy peanut dipping sauce." - The MICHELIN Guide US Editorial Team

Came in on Sunday night November 23, 2025 around 5:10pm. Placed my name on the waitlist at the door and waited about 35 minutes for a table. Service was fast and friendly. Food was pretty damn good as advertised. Tried the garlic noodles, sweet chili glaze fish sauce chicken wings, and the lean beef pho. Everything was delicious. We didn’t have anything left. The crowd in the restaurant was a mixed bag of all the different kind of people in the world. Highly recommend this place!

This was THE best spring roll I've ever had. I got the pork sausage with crispy layers, and I could make a meal of just that. The pho broth was a little fatty for my liking. The lean beef and meatballs were good.

Google
Great Pho restaurant for the Sacramento area! The broth is delicious, hearty, and balanced, the best I've had in the area. The chicken wings are also amazing, tender and crispy. We also had the crispy shrimp sausage spring rolls which were great. The servers are also very attentive and friendly.

We came around 5:30pm on a Friday and it only took a few minutes for us to be seated. The salt and pepper chicken wings were nicely fried but if you didn’t tell me that they were salt and pepper, I would just think they’re a nice plain fried chicken wing. The pho broth was delicious and well balanced. And had a good portion of meat

Stopped by on our way to Tahoe. Waited about 15 min, not too bad. We tried a variety of dishes including the Pho #2 flank, brisket..broth was solid, beef tender. Added won tons which were ok.. I like that you can get different sized bowls. The Soring rolls were good, riff of having a deep fried pork egg roll inside the spring roll. Also shared some garlic noodles which were under seasoned, kind of flat, could not taste the garlic. The noodles were cooked well though. Salt and pepper chicken wings were very good. All in all solid maybe not wait an hour good, but solid. I’m coming from San Jose, lots of pho down here.

Had to try out the IT spot and was pleasantly surprised. The wait on a Thursday evening was about 25 minutes, not too bad. The dining room is very small. Our waiter was very nice, accommodating, and also positively honest when we were asking too much. Lol The food...our table ordered about 6 appetizers and 2 entrees. We ate family style. There were mixed reviews on the Pho from spectacular to mid but the appetizers had the table a buzz.

Google
This was our first time visiting Pho Momma. The food was decent. The fried rice was dry and we to had add sauces, it might have been the time of day. The fried crab Rangoon was the best. Tender pillows fully stuffed crab and cream cheese seasoned filling. The spring rolls were lacking enough shrimp to even justify putting it in. The springs tops were full of fresh veggies, so that was a plus. The garlic noodles were recommended, but I should have had the shrimp pho instead. The garlic noodles were hot and you could tell that it was prepared to order. I added fried shrimp which helped a little. It was good, just not in my flavor profile. It was nice to try something on the off beaten path. You can tell that this family takes pride in the food and restaurant.

Yelp
I like to call myself a pho connoisseur and this spot is a must try for my pho people out there! You will not be disappointed. A cute spot in the wall with a huge surprise. I'm glad I stopped by! A friend and I got a shrimp pho, steak pho and shrimp spring rolls. 10/10

Yelp
I'm not sure what all the hype was about, but this place lacked flavor. My partner and I came because of the great reviews and its inclusion on the Michelin list. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon while waiting for our brakes to be done next door. The line was out the door with a 45-60 minute wait. We ordered pho, fried rice, crab rangoons, and steamed dumplings. Unfortunately, the pho and fried rice were bland. It was a busy afternoon, and they came by twice to ask if I wanted to order a drink while I was still deciding. After I told them I couldn't make up my mind and chose not to get a flavored drink, they took the menu and never came back to check on us after our food arrived. We ended up packing everything to go and had to add our own seasoning at home. On a positive note, my partner did enjoy the dumplings and crab rangoons.

Yelp
Decent food, but way over hyped because of the Michelin guide. Better choices for Vietnamese food and dim sum in south sac/sacramento area. Went here because, just like majority of everyone that's trying this spot out, of the Michelin plate that was awarded to them. First off small restaurant. Normal typical ambiance. Good friendly service. Almost guaranteed a wait because of the hype.....but not the worth the wait. We waited an hour. Food we tried, #1 pho-good broth, but nothing out of the norm from other Pho restaurants. Salt and pepper wings w/ rice-ok, nice light batter but didn't really have the flavor of salt and pepper. Pork fried rice-average to below average flavor. Chili oil wonton-below average compared to other dim sum restaurants. Good sauce. Fried calamari-nice light batter, good flavor. Crab cheese wonton-good flavor Crispy rolled pork sausage spring roll-not bad/good, mainly because it's original/different. Bone marrow toast-majority not marrow. Mixture of meat off the bone and marrow. Shakes-Thai tea and Viet coffee coco shakes. Do not get the coco milk. Conclusion If there was no wait and live in the area, not a bad place for Vietnamese food. Food is not bad, just way overhyped because of the Michelin plate award. Definitely not worth waiting for. Plenty of better Vietnamese restaurants in our area with no wait. Dim sum too.

Yelp
I wouldn't call this my favorite pho spot, but it's definitely worth checking out! I loved all of their dishes they had that weren't pho. The crab wontons, in particular, was their standout item to me during our trip here. I liked that you could actually taste a bit of the crab in there-- a lot of restaurants skimp out and mostly fill it with the cream cheese mixture. The spring rolls honestly surprised me as well, and I'm glad that we ordered these! The sauce that comes with it pairs perfectly with it. The pho was good, just not my favorite. Even after adding condiments, I felt like the broth was still lacking in flavor. However, I enjoyed all the meats they provided in it. I'd recommend eating this right away, because once the noodles get too soft and mushy, it's not enjoyable anymore. The service here was amazing, considering we ordered these crab wontons based on our waiter's recommendation. There are a good amount of tables and seats, but because they're so busy, it can feel a bit cramped and stuffy at times. I would come early if you have a big party so they can get you situated.

Yelp
TLDR: Honestly, it is just an okay pho spot. Maybe their other dishes are better, so I may give them a try if in the area in the future as prices are somewhat reasonable. Came in on a Saturday evening with a friend to give this pho spot a try since it was featured on the Michelin Guide and it was freezing that night, which is great weather for a hot bowl of pho. Was somewhat excited, but disappointed in the end. There was a pretty long line around 7:20pm when we arrived. Roughly 10 groups ahead of us, but it did go by semi-quickly. Took maybe around 20-25mins for us to get a table. Service overall was decent and they were efficient! Prices are okay...comparatively to the Bay Area, they were decently priced. But maybe in Sac, it would be considered a bit high. Ambiance was overall clean, modern and simplistic. They have a few tables for 2 seats and a majority are for 4+ groups/families.There was seating on the inside for waiting as well. I ordered: 1) #1 Pho(Medium) - w/Rare Beef(6.6/10) - It was a decent bowl of pho. The beef was rare like I asked, but the soup was just warm when me and my friend received our bowls....a bit disappointing. This was before I threw in the garnishes of bean sprouts, basil, jalapenos. The soup was decent - it was clear broth with beef umami throughout, without being too oily or murky. The noodles were cooked perfectly. But overall, it didn't wow me....it was just a decent bowl of pho....just wish it came to us hot instead. The stainless steel bowls were cool...more of a gimmick I guess. There was a decent amount of beef toppings and garnishes. 2) Vietnamese Iced Coffee(Regular)(5.5/10) - A bit weaker than the usual Vietnamese iced coffee that I like. I liked that they used crushed iced instead of regular ice, which doesn't dilute the coffee as much. The evaporated milk was more forward in this drink for me. I would suggest adding a double shot if you like your coffee strong as well. Overall, feels a bit over-hyped. I would say it is a decent pho spot in the area, but I wouldn't make the drive here for the pho as there are better pho spots in the city.

Yelp
There's a reason why Pho Momma is a favorite to so many. This small restaurant offers delicious food with friendly and efficient service. It's located next so a small business plaza off of Folsom Boulevard, and can be very busy. When you walk in you can add your name and party size to the list and they seat people as tables open. There are a few seats to wait off to the side, but it is a very small space. Once you get a table you have a hard decision to make- what will you order? I ordered the small #1 ($13), and we ended up getting more items to share like the pork sausage with crispy layers spring rolls ($13), the crab cream cheese wontons ($9 for 8 pieces), and chili oil wontons ($9 for 8 pieces). All of the food was so flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell there's care put into each menu item, the ingredients, and the presentation. We ended up having a good amount of leftovers to bring home and were so happy and full when we left. It's a little out of the way for me, but well worth the drive for delicious food.

Yelp
The only thing bad about Pho Momma is the wait time. This unassuming restaurant in a La Riviera strip-mall won a nod from Michelin with a Bib Gourmand, which means great value and quality. And they deserve it. I've been here many times and am happy that they maintain the separate vegan menu (ask for it) which hits all the high notes: *Veggie Pho loaded with tofu and all of the fixings. A medium could easily serve two people *Vermicelli Bowls with several add-ins to choose from *Spring Rolls that are loaded with tofu and topped with peanut sauce and spicy mayo. Sounds strange, but the combo works. This place is no nonsense and packed with a line out the door every time I've stopped by. Hopefully they expand soon!

Yelp
With the recent awards they've gotten, you can tell why this hole in the wall is always busy! There was a self sign up sheet to check in while you wait, which for us was about 20 minutes. The tables for 2 people do tend to be smaller, so if you're looking to order a lot of food you may want to ask for a bigger table. The pho was amazing, and perfect for the colder weather. They have various sizes to choose from, and they bring all the additional sauces or add ons you may need. If you're someone who doesnt want pho, they have a variety of other options from noodles to meat based dishes.

Yelp
This is the best pho I've had in sac. It beats Pho City, Pho Xe Lau, Saigon Alley, Hanoi, and everywhere else I've tried. Went at 3pm on a Saturday and there was a line! Always a great sign. Small little place with a more urban vibe. Service was okay they didn't check in much but I don't care at all I'm there for the food Food did NOT disappoint. I got a large number one and added meat balls, everything was great. Ratings: Large number 1: 9.2/10 Fish sauce chicken wings: 8.7/10 Pork egg rolls: 9.8/10 Vietnamese coffee latte 6.5/10 Get the egg rolls and wings no matter what. Can skip the coffee. Wings were crispy but had a sweet glaze. Egg rolls were freakin amazing... I'd order 6 next time CAs they're a little small. Had some nice pickled veggies with it and cilantro but no lettuce wrap. All the meat in the pho was the best part along with the clean broth. Noodles were the only thing I thought was just okay. Next time gonna try the garlic noodles, maybe the fried calimari, and spring rolls.

Yelp
After all the hype on social media, I had to visit this place! I've been there twice and both times there has been a line. You write your name on a list and they will call you when the table is ready. The second time I went (on a Thursday evening) we had to wait outside as the restaurant has limited waiting area. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The service was okay the first time and better the second time. The second time we went out Pho took a very long time to come out. The Pho was good. I really like that they have different size options, starting with an x-small, which is plenty for me! My favorite appetizer was the shrimp Egg roll. Overall it's a solid place, not sure if it's substantially better than other pho restaurants I frequent.

Yelp
PHO MOMMA- the only pho place I will go to! Offering dishes what feels like straight from mommas kitchen at home this place serves the most delicious, mouth watering dishes that always leaves me in anticipation for the next trip! I find myself even just craving something as simple as their broth... THEIR BROTH PEOPLE! You can literally taste everything element of seasoning that was layered in! No dish will steer you wrong and don't forget about their variety of boba drinks! The service is amazing! Trinh is our girl everytime we go in! Always giving the best suggestions and striking up great conversation with us! The ambiance inside is beautiful- even the bathroom is so cute and well thought out! You can absolutely see why they are Michelin recognized! They absolutely deserve it! Now I just need Momma to do some private cooking lessons!

Yelp
You might notice a long line out the door for this nondescript pho spot on Folsom Boulevard and wonder if this is just another trendy restaurant brought to you by the algorithm and/or Michelin guide. Buy into the trend and brave the line because this restaurant might be serving the most delicious bowl of pho in the area. Before highlighting the best dish of the night I feel it's worthwhile to say a few nice words about the appetizers. The pork sausage with crispy layer was crunchy and the sauce was perfect for dipping because it added a savory and salty addition to the bite. The crunch on the salt and pepper wings reminded me of the Popeye's extra crispy chicken and the jalapeños gave it some heat. I skipped the dipping sauce for this one because I didn't want anything messing with my crunch. The star of the night was the pho. It was flavorful and the sweetness from the star anise was well balanced with the aromatics and savory broth. I did very little to change the flavor of the broth. A few sprigs of basil and some pickled jalapeños did the trick for me. A hearty meal fit for rainy weather. Trust the hype for this one and keep your place in line. The end result is worth it.

Yelp
3/5 Overhyped. My first impression at the door was...small place with only a few tables. No wonder there was a line of people. Also, the staff was just standing around at the front with a packed restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes since there was three parties ahead of us and it was a packed house so we waited outside. Once we got seated, the menu was pretty straight forward. Everyone in our party knew we were going to get Pho since it's part of the name, we just have to tried the pho. There's different size, depending on how hungry you are. I personally ordered #1 size Medium with everything. Pho - Our order came out pretty quick with the amount of guests in the restaurant, which was great for services. However, when I taste the broth, it wasn't piping hot like how other pho places in Sac. It was just hot-warm. You know if a pho is hot, when it can cook the veggies. When it doesn't cook your veggies, then it's not hot enough, but that's my preferences. Also, the broth was flavorful salty, and didn't have much bone flavor that typically in pho. When I say the pho is flavorful, it is flavorful but not from the beef bones. Overall, it was too salty for me and didn't live up the hype or the drive/wait for this bowl of pho. I didn't try their other dishes, which seems like a go to for the customers like their wings. I mainly went to Pho Momma for their pho, which I was disappointed in. I probably will stick with the pho places in Laguna or Stockton blvd. for pho.

Yelp
tiny restaurant with big flavors! stopped in here for lunch, definitely worth coming back for! The drink are some of the best i've had around here. Their fried appetizers have the literal perfect crunch. yumbo x 1000. It's a longer wait so keep this in mind!

Yelp
What appears to be a hole in the wall, actually is one of those secret want to be places located in one of the strangest parts of Sacramento. In this unassuming restaurant that doesn't take reservations, you'll find some delicious eats! Diners Tip: go with an odd hour, but regardless of when you go, be prepared to wait for a table. Large of the group the longer the wait. There's a sign in sheet when you walk in. We ordered what felt like everything on the menu, and we would definitely do it again. Service is rather spotty, but it's because the places really small inside and most of the staff seems to be working in the kitchen with only one or two people on the floor. Just go with it. Spring rolls: they are fresh, they are tasty, they just need to come with more dipping sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary just a tasty bite. Egg rolls: perfectly crispy, perfectly delicious, and filled with tasty meat and veggies. I could make these into a meal just by themselves. Chili wontons: yes please! These wontons are incredibly perfect. They are light, filled with a perfect amount of meat, and the chili sauce was so tasty. How is it possible to have yet? Another tasty bite at the same restaurant?! It's possible!! You want these! Chicken wings: these make me wanna cry. The fry on these were light and crispy, the meat just like the outer part of the chicken, nicely seasoned, I absolutely will be going back to have these all over again. The pho: the reason why everyone stands in line. I love the fact that the bowl was filled with so many wonderful different ingredients. This is my least favorite dish. I didn't really care for the broth. It wasn't as deep and rich as I wanted it to be, and I just needed to have frankly more flavor. This is one of those places in Sacramento that absolutely is worth the drive and standing in line for. This will hit all of your yum spots!

Yelp
Came with my friend who's been wanting to try this place since I rave about the fish sauce chicken wings so much. We came and got a few appetizers: Fish Sauce Chicken Wings, still a 10/10. Bone Marrow Toast 6/10, I've had this before and remember it being really good but this time wasn't the same as the last. The beef spring rolls, 6.5/10 Will definitely be back for the fish sauce wings again.

Yelp
It's been a long time since the first time we tried this place! Now they are michelin guide and we were so excited. When we arrived closer to 5pm on a Saturday, it was busy but we were seated relatively quick. However after ordering. our food took a bit of time to came. We tried the bone marrow toast and it was ok- nothing special. Our food came and to our surprise we found a piece of hair in the soup, we informed the staff and they replaced the soup. Came back with a bowl that had less food contents. Overall, we were a bit disappointed this time around and unfortunately would not return. The service wasn't as attentive as it once was either. People were hovering over our table because we were seated by the door, you would think the staff ask the people waiting to be seated to not block the door upon entering and exiting too.

Yelp
I am glad I got to try pho momma before it was michelin recognized. Even before it was recognized they had very limited hours. The soup tastes more fresh and unique. All soups and dishes were superb. My favorite was the wontons with cream cheese.. Surprising, but it is an example of how well things are done. These were thin wrappers with warm cream cheese that was evenly cooked. The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious with small ice pieces that meld well into the extra flavorful coffee after a nice meal of fresh Vietnamese food. Be mindful that nowadays there is a slight wait to get in.

Yelp
Was pretty busy when I arrived for a late lunch. Its first come first serve. I didn't wait too long. I knew I just wanted to try their pho. I got a medium pho with all the meats. The food came out pretty quick and piping hot. The broth was flavorful and smelled good. There was a good amount of meat. Its a pretty good pho but it didn't wow me. I came to check it out since it received a Michelin recognition. The other foods seemed good so I will probably have to try them next time.

Yelp
2025 was Michelin Guide good to #sacramento, especially a hidden, unassuming strip-mall pho spot on Folsom Boulevard. For those that aren't up on their food game, being recognized on the Michelin Guide is a really great honor, only rivaling receiving a star (or three). It's like a pre-star, another way to recognize them for serving good food with quality ingredients. Prior to this rating, I'd drive by and always say I wanted to stop here, solely on the name alone. Now, it was just a waiting game as they slowed down from their Michelin popularity, which I think is still going. Word is, they are expanding... As a ramen girlie, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the broth! I ordered an XS #3 bowl, since we also ordered: 1 Fresh Spring Roll, Pork Sausage w/ Crispy Layers 2 Fresh Spring Roll, Sizzling Butter Beef 3 Crab Cream Cheese Wontons The CCC wontons were my fave out of the three. I was really hoping for more with the spring rolls. The pork sausage reminded me of a hot dog, so I couldn't eat but one piece. However, I loved the crispy layers. Both spring rolls had a tough rice paper exterior, I prefer it easier to chew. The sizzling butter beef didn't have as much flavor as I thought it, per the seevers description. Overall, and as it should be, pho was the main event! The pork fried rice smelled amazing and there are many other items I'd like to try in the future. I absolutely love seeing one of our ethnic restaurants on Folsom Boulevard being recognized for their quality ingredients and food! There are so many other good ones down this street too! Seems like a catch 22 to get on the MIchelin Guide, but I'm happy to have had a taste!

Yelp
Pho Momma is worth the hype! We came on a Thursday night around 6. We put our name on the list with our party number and because there was small waiting area with limited seats inside, we waited outside until our names were called (little less than 30 min.). Because of our wait and the menu posted on the outside window, we were ready to order soon after we sat down. The restaurant is fairly small, but not too cramped. Now my thoughts on what we ordered: - Chili-Oil Wontons: beautiful presentation, delicious filling, great texture, and not too spicy - Momma's Garlic Noodles w/ Chicken: noodles are thick with a great texture, sauce coated them well; bold flavor and the chicken complimented it well - #4 Lean Beef Pho (small): love the cut size of the meat and there was plenty of it, the noodles were plentiful even for the small size, the broth was flavorful, however I wish it was hotter when it came to my table- it was only warm - Pork Eggrolls: delicious, crispy, no complaints - Brown sugar vanilla swirl & Sunrise lemonade tea: Brown sugar was sweet but not too sweet, super tasty. I loved the Sunrise tea it was sweet and the jelly at the bottom made it so good Excited to return to try more and get another bowl of pho!

Yelp
This place really exceeded my expectations! An unassuming spot on a strip mall in a suburban neighborhood has some of the best pho that I've ever had! It was packed when we arrived a little after opening on a Saturday and we were not able to be in the first seating. The staff were working hard here and did their best to manage the crowd. There are only 10-15 tables overall and a small indoor waiting area. I really love that they have a size XSmall when it comes to pho bowl sizes. It really allowed us to order more things! Offerings: - Bone Marrow Toast: Great flavor and texture but the visual was a little off putting. Serving it on sliced white bread is a choice. And the meat could almost be mistaken for pulled pork. But close your eyes and it's a treat! - Pho with Flank Steak: the meat and noodles were pretty par for the course but the broth was very good. I think it may lean slightly saltier than usual but sooo delicious. Served with all the regular accoutrements. My partner did add chili oil that was available on the table and it was pretty good too! - Garlic noodles: these were fine. Great texture and plenty of chopped garlic. Creamy sauce. There is a 15% automatic charge for large parties so look out for that!

Yelp
Pho Momma is a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized restaurant in the Sacramento area specializing in pho. On my visit, I ordered the #4 (lean beef) and added beef balls along with the chili oil wontons. While the restaurant has a strong reputation, I found the pho solid but not particularly memorable. The broth was hearty, though a bit sweet for my taste. Similarly, the chili oil wontons leaned more toward sweet than spicy, which left me slightly disappointed. It's possible I visited on an off day, but I've had better pho elsewhere in the city. That said, the restaurant remains popular, so plan to arrive early or expect about a 30-minute wait, as the space is small though turnover is fairly quick. In addition, I did encounter a minor billing error, which the staff initially dismissed until I clarified it with our server. While not ideal, it was resolved. Despite these hiccups, I'd consider returning to try the restaurant's other specialties, such as the garlic noodles, and to give their award-winning pho another chance.

Yelp
This place is okay. Not worth the Michelin hype. We both got the #1 pho (pho dac biet) and chilled shrimp spring rolls. The vermicelli was very al dente. Broth was ok. We got a little bit of thai basil just before they ran out fairly early into dinner service. The spring rolls again were alright. I've had better viet food off Stockton Blvd. I would give one more star if service was better. Right after sitting down, we were approached by 4 different servers asking if we were ready to order within 2 minutes of being sat. We felt very rushed. I understand there's lots of people waiting to be seated, but we had just been sat. Overall, this place is alright. Just not what we were expecting.

Yelp
I've been to Pho Momma HOW many times and haven't left a review?! And now they're on the Michelin guide! One of my favorite spots for a comforting bowl of pho. This was originally recommended to me by my friend from Vietnam, so I knew it had to be good! The space is pretty small, but they do turnover very efficiently. If it's full inside, there's a sheet for you to write your name on the waitlist. Menu is packed with classic favorites and exciting new items. They have teas, boba, and coffee, and all sorts of delicious Vietnamese dishes! I always get their #1 with everything and their fish sauce chicken wings- my favorite! Service is super sweet and they use the good pebble ice in their water. I recommend going just before opening if you don't want to wait! Plenty of parking in the parking lot.

Yelp
Had to check out the Michelin pho spot to see if it lived up to the hype. They're only open certain days of the week and recently changed their hours to open at 11 instead of 11:30. Came about a half hour early on a Saturday, were the first ones there but shortly after there was a line. Got seated in the first wave and service was pretty quick. Ordered the fried rice, shrimp eggrolls and bone marrow toast as appetizers but wasn't impressed. However, the beef stew pho was delicious. I would come again just for that.

Yelp
Would like to emphasize that there is a wait time for this place. Probably waited 30 min to get seated for dinner. There is a sign in list but it's a very popular place. Once we get seated our food came pretty quick. We ordered pho and their famous spring rolls. They also have fun drinks to try so we tried the tropical mango sweet tea and Thai tea swirl. Both were really good. The pho however we were a bit disappointed. Broth was kinda bland. Spring rolls were good though! Maybe we will try this place earlier in the day and see if that changes things.

Yelp
Pretty good pho! I really enjoyed the beef marrow toast, it would have been better if the toast were crispy but the flavor of the beef was delicious! Service came fast and they were accommodating with our group of 8. Ambience was simple, casual, clean. Plenty of parking. Prices were reasonable for the area. Glad we stopped in!

Yelp
We didn't think there'd be a line at 10:50 AM, but I'm glad we came early since the restaurant was fully seated by 11:07. Service was quick, attentive, and super friendly. We ordered: * Iced Vietnamese coffee: A bit on the sweeter side (we usually take ours black), but still tasty. Most people would love it! * Half & half wontons (crab cream cheese + creamy jalapeño artichoke): Crunchy, creamy, and delicious. We actually preferred the jalapeño artichoke ones--they were different and SO good! * Pork sausage with crispy layers: Heads up--this dish comes with peanuts, so my fiancé couldn't really eat it (but that's our bad for not mentioning the allergy). I still thought it had a great balance of textures, freshness, and flavor. * Lean beef pho: The broth was light, yet rich with a lovely blend of beef, fat, and spices. It had a silky mouthfeel and was served at the perfect temperature. The meat was soft and melty but still held its texture-- this dish is definitely something I'll crave after a night out or on a rainy day. I used to think I had to head to the Bay for good pho, but it's nice to know there's fantastic options closer to home. We'll be back soon to explore the rest of the menu. Congrats on the Michelin Bib--it's well deserved!

Yelp
We were excited to come to this location and try it out from all of the hype we've heard about it. The food was decent, but was much more expensive than what you typically pay at pho restaurants. The wait does get long and the restaurant is fairly small so I'd recommend showing up 10 minutes before opening to be seated in the first wave. The biggest complaint I have is that they auto charged 15% service and accepted an additional 20% on top because I didn't realize we were already charged a service fee. I do recognize that it's my fault for not seeing it on the bill, but it just feels a bit shady to me that they really accepted another 20% on top of what they auto charged at a pho restaurant where our server didn't even come check on us or refill our water. When I noticed that evening, I tried calling the restaurant the next day, but they don't answer their phone so you can't get ahold of them. Other reviewers have also mentioned that they do not pick up their phone.

Yelp
So glad I was finally able to try this place! We arrived around 1:30 on a Sunday. The wait for a table for 2 was about 40-45 mins, not too bad. We ordered the 1/2 portion each of Pork and Shrimp Eggrolls. Both really good, lots of filing in the Egg Roll. Chili Wontons were good. Not too spicy. Chicken Wings w/salt and pepper. They were good, nice and crispy with every bite. The sautéed onions on top was a nice touch for added flavor. I ordered the Medium sized bowl of Pho with Flank Brisket and Meatball. Soooo good. The noodles were cooked to perfection. The noodles were on the thinner side which i loved. The broth was amazing. This place was worth the wait. The service was great for being as busy as they were. Restrooms were clean! Would definitely return! We also ordered Momma's Garlic Noodles w/chicken and Momma's fried rice to go. Can't wait to try it!

Yelp
Just discovered this place while watching YouTube. My wife and I just went for our 1st visit. I wanted to try the Pho, but decided to try something else, my wife ordered the lemongrass vermicelli, I ordered the curry vermicelli, both with chicken. We also ordered a 12 piece hot oil wonton. All the food was good, but we're older and I'm always shocked by the price of things ( EVERYWHERE) I also ordered a vietnamese coffee, I expected hot coffee but received ice coffee... it was good, but it was also $6.00. Total meal was $53.00 before tip. I will go back and try the Pho, and I liked the wonton's very much and will order them again. It is a busy place and we waited about half an hour before being seated. Again, the food was good, just seems really expensive when you consider the ingredients are not expensive, but i will go again.

Yelp
Before blowing up on social media I stumbled across this place and boy did I feel like I struck gold. Everything here has been 10/10 amazing. All of the appetizers, their iced coffee, and I've tried their pho & beef soup. It is a more intimate space and they do get busy but it is well worth the wait. The staff are kind and really pay attention to all of their customers even if the space is packed. When in need of some Vietnamese food this place definitely has my loyalty

Yelp
I have seen this place posted a lot of places ever since it made it into the Michelin Guide, so I had to take my parents for my dad's birthday! For appetizers, we ordered the fish sauce chicken wings as well as the shrimp and pork egg roll platter. For pho, I ordered the #1 which came with Lean Beef, flank, brisket, fat brickiest, tripe, and tendon. For my drink, I ordered the Tropical mango tea. Everything we ordered was impressive! The pho was probably some of the best pho I've eaten while being in the Sacramento area. You could tell the broth was very flavorful and portion size was great. The only thing I didn't like was my noodles clumped together. I would definitely recommend coming early for dinner or expecting a wait, as my family JUST beat the rush. Overall, solid spot!

Yelp
I had heard so many great things about this place from local relatives and happy to say it did not disappoint! We showed up right at open on a Sunday morning, and had to wait about an hour to be seated. With the recent win of a Michelin Star, we were expecting a wait and we also had a large group of 9 people. Once seated, they were quick to take our order and get our food out! The food came out fairly quick! We ordered a variety of appetizers with the Crab Rangoons and Pork Sausage Crispy Rolls being our favorites! As for entrees, majority of us ordered variations of the pho, which was delicious! One of my favorites i've had. a few of us got the garlic noodles and fried rice, and the garlic noodles were a huge hit amongst our group! Overall this place is very good! I'm not sure if I would wait an hour to eat here again, but will definitely come back once the hype and traffic calms down.

Yelp
My friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was already a line outside likely because it was just labeled as a Michelin star spot. After waiting about an hour, we were finally seated. The space was clean and had the usual decor you'd expect at a pho place. I ordered the garlic noodles and the spicy beef stew pho. The garlic noodles were creamy and buttery, but I couldn't really taste the garlic. As for the pho, it was okay definitely could have used more spice. I was originally craving Bun Bo Hue, but they didn't have it, so I settled for the stew. Overall, it's worth trying once, but I personally wouldn't wait an hour for it again.

Yelp
First time I've seen so many portion options for pho and love the idea: XS-S-M-L. At other pho restaurants, I rarely finish a small bowl. I ordered a small pho ga, but was given (and charged) a medium and I was able to eat it all. The broth was delicious, but sadly the chicken was chewy, dry and overcooked. I didn't have many noodles in there either. My friend ordered an XS, her husband ordered a L, and although the three bowls were different sizes, it seemed we had relatively similar portions of meat (good amount) and noodles: the difference being the amount of broth. The bone marrow toast was disappointing. A scant amount of braised, shredded beef sat atop a triangular toast. Whatever bone marrow might have been in there was scant and probably melded into the shredded beef. Would not recommend this one.

Yelp
Small gem of a spot, but worth it! I've had various items on their menu and nothing disappoints! The service is fast and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is small, so sometimes there's a few people waiting to be sat (although this has never happened to me - yet). The parking isn't great, but I have found somewhere to park each time. Sometimes the restaurant looks closed, when it's actually open -- so I do think that it doesn't look super exciting to visit - but oh it is!! The ambiance is super cute too!

Yelp
Apparently, everyone in Sacramento wants to eat piping hot pho at 2 PM, even in 100° heat. The mile-long, but fast-moving waitlist can confirm. Dropped by last Saturday on the way home from Tahoe to eat my favorite cuisine, (Vietnamese) with one of my coolest friends (also Vietnamese). Broth is sensational, noodles are the perfect texture, and the cuts of meat are generous. Best bowl of pho I have had in this area!

Yelp
The chicken phở and the salt and pepper wings are phenomenal but every other food item we've tried has been a huge disappointment, especially considering this place is a 30-min minimum wait for a table. The grilled pork sausage spring rolls and chili oil fried wontons were disappointing. The spring roll vegetables were on their way to being wilted and had parts that were mushy and unpleasant to eat. The wontons were not crispy at all, not sure if they were fried earlier in the day and left to get soggy. The chili oil lacked depth of flavor, was not particularly fragrant, and had too much oil and not enough paste to make the wontons enjoyable. The wontons themselves did not have a great flavor. The lemongrass vermicelli with chicken had minimal lemongrass flavor. Service is wonderful, and the ambiance is... crowded.

Yelp
Waited in line outside this Michelin Guide restaurant and it was worth it! We looked at the menu and mouthwatering photos on the windows outside while we waited. In about 30 minutes, there we were, excited for our name to finally be called. Upon entering, the diverse people and the packed restaurant spoke volumes for the love for and popularity of Pho Momma that drew us here in the first place. Social media fandom doesn't lie! Michelin Guide doesn't lie! I have a Bay Area palate, and have Vietnamese friends, so I know what pho is supposed to look and taste. I had yet to find a pho spot that hit the spot, until now! FINALLY! With my first taste of my beef and chicken pho broth, I closed my eyes and soaked in the perfect flavors and thought where have you been all my life in Sac? I told "Mr. Pho Momma", who kept checking on us, that I'm from the Bay and I am so happy to have finally found where to go for how pho is supposed to taste! He said we had a nice spread. We were blown away by the flavor explosion of all the food we ordered! The garlic noodles were packed with scrumptious ingredients and paired well with the chicken wings with sweet garlic fish sauce that we saw from the poster outside and made sure to order. The chili oil wontons were absolute perfection that even though I was full from our grub fest, I found myself wanting to eat more! I can't wait to return to Pho Momma to try their other menu items like Momma's pork fried rice and delicious drinks. What a gem in the Sac region!! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Pho Momma and thank you to your team who give such excellent customer service and food and drinks that make our bellies and hearts happy!

Yelp
First time here. It's a bit further from where I live but glad I stopped in. Pho is super tasty. I didn't even have to add any sauce . Love the crispy shrimp roll. Garlic noodles were good too. Love the decor. They open at 11a & there was already a wait by 11:15a. I came in on a Friday at 11ish. We were seated quickly after we put our name down. Staff were friendly. We ordered the following items: Pho #7 Beef Stew Half and Half Egg Rolls (6Pcs) Garlic Noodles (w/ Chicken) Pho #1 6 Meat Combo

Yelp
This was my first time trying pho and I was not disappointed! Upon arrival I noticed the Michelin award so I knew I was in for a treat! We got seated in the front which can be kind of cold during the nights so wear your jackets! lol. Everything we got was perfection! They deserve to be packed every day!

Yelp
This was my third attempt to have lunch here. The first time, back in March, they were unexpectedly closed. The second time, on June 29th, they were on vacation. Today, I finally got in--but just barely. A sign on the door announced that starting July 28, they'll no longer be open on Tuesdays, so I lucked out! There was a wait--about 25 minutes with roughly 10 people ahead of me on the list to be seated. I'd been especially curious to try this place because of the Michelin recognition, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. The brisket tasted more like thinly sliced cheesesteak meat than something deeply marinated or slow-cooked, and the broth lacked the richness I've come to expect from standout pho--especially compared to spots I've tried in the Bay Area, Manhattan and most recently in Elk Grove, Ca of all places!

Yelp
The food was average, not bad but also not outstanding. I got the #1 and the meat was very tender but the tendon was still too tough. Unfortunately, the mango coco beverage was not what I expected. It was coconut milk with mango sweetener and it was too sugary. My partner got the Thai tea and it was overly sweet as well, all I could taste was the sweetened condensed milk. The service could have been better, the staff were miserable and inattentive (besides one of the workers, she was great). We had a hard time getting a table due to how busy it was, but what made it more unbearable was watching customer after customer go ahead of our group. Even though we had gotten there beforehand. I don't think they wanted to accommodate to a bigger group, which is ok....but would have rather been told that than get mistreated.

Yelp
Okay you should believe the Hype. Pho Momma is Sacramento's best bowl of pho. It would stand up right at the top with some of the best pho in the Bay as well. This place lives up to the buzz, the Bee write-ups, the Michelin nods, and then some. The pho broth: nearly perfection. Rich, deep, aromatic, every spoonful layers umami, star anise, and long-simmered love. It's so flavorful, I caught myself sipping the entire bowl up. If I had one tiny wish, it would be just a bit less grease on the lips but it's barely a complaint when the flavor shows up this hard. The noodles are silky and springy, never overdone. The beef? Top quality, tender, and please order rare. I know it's a recession but I appreciate the portion sizing? Realistic and refreshing. If you want a mini you can go mini, it's not all massive. I usually don't order this because it's rare it's good but our table neighbor suggested the shrimp egg rolls. Do not skip. These are not your standard issue cha gio, these things are crispy, really crispy, golden, and bursting with a flavor that I thought might be noodles soaked in beef broth. 5/5

Yelp
Came here during dinner and was NOT expecting a wait for pho! I think the pho was not bad, just a little too salty for my liking. The small is pretty small, just FYI, so I can't imagine how tiny the x-small would be. Also tried the spring rolls which were good but it dried out too quickly. Wish they didn't cut it up into pieces. They were trying to turn tables too quickly. I found it rude that they already handed us the check shortly after receiving our food. Then, one of the servers came over to ask if we want a box to pack the spring rolls while we were still eating it and had barely gotten started. The service was not appreciated.
