Saigon Sisters Restaurant - Review - West Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Saigon Sisters is solid if you’re in the West Loop and the call of a lemongrass pork chop under some basket lights becomes too loud to ignore. The dishes served with rice are some of the best things here, whether you’re digging into that sweet-glazed pork chop alone at the bright bar or sharing tender bò lúc lắc bathed in savory oyster sauce with friends. We also like their eggrolls with crispy rice wrapper, and their durian ice cream that channels the fruit’s sweet and savory flavors without its pungent smell. Though their phở lacks some warming spice punch and the bánh mì bread-to-meat ratio leans bread-heavy, they’re both fine in a pinch." - John Ringor

The 18 Best Chicago Restaurant Week Deals - Chicago - The Infatuation

"There are so many excellent dishes on Saigon Sisters’ $60 three-course Restaurant Week dinner that you should consider visiting this West Loop spot several times. Or get extra strategic with your friends to try their duck baos, whole branzino, lamb luc lac, grilled prawns, and banana brown butter cake all at once." - adrian kane, veda kilaru, nick allen

Chicago’s Best Banh Mi | Eater Chicago

"Run by actual sisters Mary Nguyen Aregoni and Theresa Nguyen (alongside their mother, Mama Suu), Saigon Sisters opened in 2009 in the Chicago French Market, followed by locations in Northwestern Memorial Hospital and West Loop. The spicy-creamy Porky is a must, while the barbecue jackfruit version is a worthwhile vegetarian option." - Eater Staff

10 Warm Dishes To Order This Week Because It’s F*cking Cold - Chicago - The Infatuation

"The bún bò huế from Saigon Sisters in the West Loop is flavored with shrimp paste, fish sauce, lemongrass, and chili, which makes for a wonderfully spicy and pungent soup. Floating in that delicious broth you’ll find paper-thin slices of beef, both lean and fatty cuts of pork, sausage, and slippery udon noodles. And if that doesn’t sound like something you want when it’s nine degrees, we can’t help you." - adrian kane
