"For the classic first date of a cocktail in a dark bar, look no further than this East Dallas bar. The drink menu, curated by owners and legendary Dallas bartenders Gabe Sanchez and Ryan Payne, does not disappoint (we’re particularly fond of the milk punch). It also serves light bites, and the olives stuffed with sausage from Jimmy’s Food Store down the street are especially noteworthy. Pull up to the bar, grab a tiny table for two on one end of the space, or a bigger booth if it’s a group hang — also, there are picnic tables outside when the weather accommodates. The superpowers of cocktail makers Gabe Sanchez and Ryan Payne, whose DNA is all over loads of bar menus in town, combined when they opened this spot. It’s got exceptional drinks, good vibes, and the perfect menu of bar food with some late-night only options. You’ll find people hanging out in the huge booths around the left side or gathered at the bar. When the weather is nice, the picnic tables outside are the place to be.
