"For the classic first date of a cocktail in a dark bar, look no further than this East Dallas bar. The drink menu, curated by owners and legendary Dallas bartenders Gabe Sanchez and Ryan Payne, does not disappoint (we’re particularly fond of the milk punch). It also serves light bites, and the olives stuffed with sausage from Jimmy’s Food Store down the street are especially noteworthy. Pull up to the bar, grab a tiny table for two on one end of the space, or a bigger booth if it’s a group hang — also, there are picnic tables outside when the weather accommodates. The music is always at a reasonable volume, so having a chat to feel the date out is easy. There’s a lot with plenty of free parking behind the bar." - Rachel Pinn
