Smokin Yard's BBQ

It's so good to be back in Denver after living 3 years in Bristol TN. Bristol has nothing on BBQ compared to The Smokin Yard's BBQ! My smoked hot wings & mac n cheese were savory & delicious. Although they were extremely busy, service was fast & friendly.

I really enjoyed our dinner here! The meat was cooked and smoked well. Not in my top BBQ places nationwide or in Denver. But here me out. First of all the meat is smoked pretty much all most on point. Nothing was dried out or over smoked. What disappointed me was they claimed a dry rub on the ribs which is what got me! I love a good dry rub rib but the dry rub was lacking on both the Baby Backs and St Louis. I like eating half my ribs without sauce if properly seasoned. This was not. It tasted like meat and just smoke. If that is your thing you'll love this place. Didn't give me the KC or St Louis BBQ taste I was hoping to find. The sides were pretty much perfect. The fried okra was perfect! The fries were over seasoned but fresh and made to order. My wife felt the same about her brisket! Perfectly cooked just lacking a good dry rub. Possibly an off night but for that mean options I'm assuming they are just really light on their meat seasoning. Totally would try this place again but they got the cooking down which is something a lot of BBQ in Denver doesn't but I really hope I get some more flavor next time. Not quite

Stopped in their Denver location. Big establishment and nice atmosphere. Food was amazing as usual. Spicy Green Beans were delicious. I got their Brisket and Smoked Sausage combo. Tender and full of flavor. Tried to Hot Clucker sauce which is spicy. The service is great and staff cracks me off! Definitely will be back!

I feel like in Colorado you really have to know a good spot for good BBQ and this place is definitely it. Everything there has so much flavorrr and if you can handle spices than you will love the food. It’s definitely more on the expensive side, but for how the food quality is I say it’s valid. Overall I would keep coming back whenever I’m in the mood for some good Brisket or a good old fashioned pulled pork sandwich!

Everything here is just meh or straight up bad. The brisket is easily the worst thing. Way overcooked and dry with hardly and bark on it. The cookies are outsourced so you might as well just go to the store. The fried pickles are okay. Hot links were the best that we tried. Baked beans are probably out of a can with an the fake smoke that's in it. All the sides are very small and just mediocre and lacking flavor. The baby back ribs are dry and chewy and they're also pre-sliced which sucks the moisture out of the already dry ribs. I can make better chicken than what they serve. The food they serve I could honestly have made it myself and saved money with it tasting 10X better. I spent $97 for 4 meats, rack of ribs, 4 sides, a cookie, fried pickles, a slice of pecan pie, and some boiled peanuts, which is just way too high for this garbage. I'm sorry but this is just awful, I'm wondering if we came on a bad night. But if it's this bad on a Friday night then how bad is a Monday or Tuesday?

So the guys at my job invited me to this BBQ spot and man did it taste GREAT. Me and a few of my buddies got the chicken wings and they came out perfect. The fries were delicious too. I plan to come here more often.

Ordered the three-meat combo with brisket, ribs and pulled pork; sides fries and spicy coleslaw. Pulled pork was tough, brisket was fine and the ribs were enjoyable. Overall it was fine but not enough to make me want to return. I have to imagine there is much better bbq in Denver, right?

A great spot for some excellent BBQ. Lean, moist meats served up in a nice portion with a large variety of sides. Loved the sweet potato fries. Some good beers on tap also. All at a decent price!
