Sobretablas - Review - El Porvenir - Seville - The Infatuation

"At Sobretablas, prepare for a total sensory experience with foams, elixirs, and delicate purees, and a casual-elegant, plant-filled space. The hake in pil pil sauce with chard will make even the most stoic diners moan. And the dish of roasted scallions with an Iberian ham emulsion, cured pork cheek, and egg yolk is almost too beautiful to eat. The eight uncommon wine pairings from lesser-known regions of Europe are a journey that’llleave you tipsy yet enlightened. We recommend the ten-course tasting menu for the full Sobretablas experience, but most everything can be ordered a la carte. This is the place you go to impress, celebrate, or treat yourself to a night of decadence." - Aileen Weintraub

13 Best Restaurants in Seville, From High-Level Gastronomy Spots to Romantic Holes-in-the-Wall | Condé Nast Traveler

"Near María Luisa Park, I appreciated this Bib Gourmand plant‑filled restaurant where chef Camila Ferraro reimagines Andalusian classics—salmorejo with figs and smoked eel, stewed chickpeas and spinach in a samosa, mackerel in a whiskey sauce and ajo blanco with tuna belly—supported by a drinks list of over 150 wines." - Agnish Ray, Adam Turner

"The culinary interest in this restaurant is on the up thanks to the fact that the young couple here (Camila Ferraro is in charge of the kitchen, with her partner acting as sommelier and running the front of house) met while working at the legendary El Celler de Can Roca. The chef’s humble, consistent approach is evident in her modern cooking with clear regional and traditional influences, to which she adds her own distinctive personality to cuisine that includes options for sharing and the Sobretablas Deluxe tasting menu (with an added wine pairing). On the latter, we particularly enjoyed the delicious velouté of chickpeas and red prawns. This attractive restaurant takes its name from a specific stage of sherry production, after which the sherry-master decides if a wine should become a fino or oloroso." - Michelin Inspector

The 20 Best Restaurants in Seville, Spain | Eater

"After stints at some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in the country, chef Camila Ferraro and sommelier Robert Tetas opened up their now award-winning restaurant in a 1920s-style building originally constructed for the Ibero-American Exposition. Let Tetas guide you through the alluring wine list, which focuses primarily on Andalusian varieties and unique sherries, a far cry from your grandmother’s syrupy aperitivo. Then dive into Ferraro’s seasonal tasting menu; her devotion to seasonality and respect for local ingredients continues to bring her national accolades." - Megan Lloyd

Hits all the 5* ! What a great find. Superb food, wine ( including quality by the glass options) Lovely service from knowledgeable staff. Special thanks to Antonio. And they have vegetarian and vegan options. Highlight of our Spain trip on the culinary front. Worth a BIG detour

The food was outstanding, the onions were incredible, the hake with chards was impeccable. For dessert we decided on a cherry sorbet with an arroz con leche sauce not only looked beautiful, it tasted great.

What a "hidden" gem out of the busy streets of the old town. 10/10. We were not the biggest eaters, but they seperates our shared dishes on the table so it looked like we both had a full plate. The food was excellent. We really really loved the food in the pictures. Tomato with tuna and the dessert of meringue an tonka.

I have eaten well in many cities around the world and I can happily say this is amongst the best meals, if not *the* best meal, I have eaten. With my fiancée celebrating the end of a birthday trip to Seville and on recommendation from a Catalan work colleague, we were not disappointed. We opted for the tasting menu with pairings and the extra lamb course. Spectacular. Service from Antonio with Sommelier Robert made us feel welcome. Not rushed, yet attentive service. Atmosphere light and airy with a handful of covers ensuring you feel like a select few. Highly recommend

One of the better meals I had in Sevilla, but not sure if the overall experience is worth the relatively high price. Tried the large tasting meny. The dishes were all good and nicely presented, but none of them were «memorable» for me. The squid, hake and chocolate ganache are worth a mention. Service was professional, but bordering on too formal.

We had a fantastic evening towards the end of September. We regularly visit Sevilla and were excited to discover this really cool neighbourhood spot. A plesant 20 minute walk out of the centre, lovely welcome, lovely space and great service. Set menus perfectly paced and measured. Interesting and thought about wine list. We loved our evening, thank you team. We will return.
