Sorella is a cozy Clapham bistro serving up Amalfi-inspired Italian dishes crafted from local produce, perfect for everything from casual catch-ups to romantic dinners.
"Sorella is a romantic, rustic Italian spot off Clapham High Street that’s ideal for a first, second, or 304th date if you’re still counting. It’s lively but still has an intimate feel, has moody lighting that welcomes DMCs, and a menu with creamy arancini, earthy mushroom pastas, and hearty ragus. This is a restaurant that covers all the bases: a casual night out over malt and salted caramel tiramisu, or a low-key third date meal with someone you’re trying to impress. Book a table as it’s a popular dinner spot." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

"His years spent working on Italy’s Amalfi Coast inspired this operation from experienced London restaurateur Robin Gill. The menu is divided into the classic format of cicchetti, antipasti, primi and secondi, and the selection of dishes includes traditional heavy hitters like aubergine parmigiana, ossobuco and tiramisu. Make sure you kick off with some of the arancini though, as they're certainly a highlight. There's a great buzz to the place and the service is friendly." - Michelin Inspector

"Sorella replaced The Manor, a loved neighbourhood restaurant that found Clapham a tricky market, at the start of 2018. The snacks illustrate chef-co-owner Robin Gill’s wit and flavour: truffled arancini are easy and restorative, while monkfish crudo with magnolia radish is fresh and enlivening; the antipasti includes great nibbles such as fried olives and a semolina bread with superb olive oil. Two secondi dishes provide an option for those less inclined to share plates: butter poached pollock with almond, is fine; the barbecued pork presa is best paired with the crispiest of crispy potatoes." - Josh Barrie
