Iconic Dishes in Philly | Eater Philly

"At Taste Cheesesteak Bar, this tasty dish features oxtail that’s marinated in a Haitian blend called epis (onions, scallions, garlic, parsley, bell peppers, and other spices), then layered with Philly-favorite Cooper Sharp cheese, and finally stuffed in a Liscio’s Bakery long roll that encapsulates its dynamic flavor." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme

In New Orleans for Sugar Bowl 2017? Here’s Where to Eat and Drink | Eater New Orleans

"Founded by Philly native Mike Casey, Liberty Cheesesteaks traces back to Casey's college days when he would fly from Philly to Tulane with an ice chest full of steaks, making cheesesteaks for friends in exchange for beer." - Eater Staff

Why the Oxtail Cheesesteak Is the Best Version of the Philly Classic | Eater Philly

"After seeing a viral Instagram reel (posted by Josh Moore) that convinced me to try it, I went to Taste Cheesesteak Bar in November and was immediately converted by their oxtail cheesesteak. The sandwich features slow-braised, boneless oxtail—more tender than the typical rib-eye—marinated in a Haitian epis (onions, scallions, garlic, parsley, bell peppers, and other spices), layered with Cooper Sharp cheese, and stuffed in a Liscio’s Bakery long roll that locks in the deep, savory flavors. Priced at $35, the lively Center City spot has no reservations and no delivery options. Owner Kevin Dolce says the idea comes from his Caribbean heritage and his mother’s Haitian oxtail marinade, a cultural twist that replaces the usual rib-eye while keeping the cheesesteak formula intact." - Ernest Owens

Taste Cheesesteak Bar - Review - Center City - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Opening a cheesesteak spot in a cheesesteak town is about as unnecessary as using a DVD rewinder. Especially if said cheesesteaks are totally fine, like they are at Taste in Center City. These sandwiches have the satisfying cheesy-mushy center of any decent cheesesteak you'll find at your neighborhood shop. The difference here is that you're going to have to wait far too long—we clocked 30 minutes for one cheesesteak—for what's ultimately a run-of-the-mill meal in Philly. So come if you’re a tourist who doesn’t know that Cleavers nearby has a larger menu with a shorter wait, or maybe to watch a game on one of Taste's big screens if everywhere else in the neighborhood is packed." - Candis R. Some friends and I went to the taste bar to order some steaks and fries. Ironically, we all order the same meal. We wanted to try the Oxtail Cheesesteak with the Salmon French Fries. I was not dissapointed with the quality and quantity of the food. The atmosphere was chill and laid back. The indoor dining area is a little tight as far as for room but there is also an outdoor seating area as well. Where we were seated became packed with people in less than 15 minutes. People were coming in by groups. The service was amazing our hostess name was Stephanie who guides us with all the answers we did have some questions since it was our first time there. Overall it was good. I would like to eat outside in the patio next time.

Google
Taste did not disappoint. We were less than impressed with the food in Philly until someone recommended Taste to us. The food was delicious! I highly recommend you try this place if you're ever in Philly. Uber drivers will refer you to other places, but this is a hidden gem you don't want to miss! 10/10

I’ve been to Taste over 20 times since they opened and it’s changed so much. You don’t have the option for sesame seed rolls anymore which was my favorite and now they are charging automatic gratuity on all checks. Not to mention there is not one single person behind the counter that knows how to make a drink! DO NOT ORDER ANY DRINKS, they are not proper bartenders and I’m speaking as a bartender myself. If you do order drinks, expect it to be sour tasting with no smooth flavor and no alcohol. I would recommend TAKE OUT ONLY, the Oxtail and the Salmon are my favorites but be aware of oxtail bone bits (I had an huge bone in my oxtail one time) and I also had a stem from the spinach or something brown in the salmon cheesesteak. I did receive a comp meal because that oxtail bone was huge and that was completely unacceptable. The Jerk Chicken is also good too. There is a lot of staff turnover so expect to see new people every time you dine in. Kai was the best server there but sadly he left. O was cool too but I haven’t seen him in a while. Ash has been there for a minute so she’s always there behind the bar.

Google
Best Chicken Cheese Steak I’ve had—East Coast to West Coast! Service was a little slow (our order got missed), but once it came out… Babeeee, worth every bite. I had the regular, hubby had the Jersey Chicken, granddaughter had the Beef. Big portions, big flavor—I wish I grabbed one to-go for my flight. The Jolly Rancher Cocktail? Perfection.

After many great reviews I've seen, I decided to try this place out 2weeks ago and I'm glad I did ! I ordered the oxtail cheesesteak with fries and it was really good! Honestly, this thing was big enough for 2 people so I shared half of it with my husband. Great customer service and great atmosphere! I'd highly recommend visiting here!

Google
My uber driver Kenneth recommend this place after I told him about an earlier (just ok)experience at another popular spot. Taste did not disappoint, my cheesesteak was cooked fresh, my rum punch was made fresh, the music was cool and college football was playing....it was a vibe for me, Lakia took great care of me, tell her Johnnie from Atlanta sent you!!!!

Google
I had a taste for a cheesesteak. I asked a reputable friend for his recommendations. This was #2 on his list and I see why. Absolute heaven on a roll. Excellent, friendly customer service. Cool vibes, we were watching the Coco versus Naomi tennis match. 10 out of 10 I recommend.

Google
This was our first stop after arriving in downtown Philly, and it was just a short walk from our hotel. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, and the chicken jerky fries — all of the food was amazing. The service was just as impressive. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We also had a few cocktails, and they were really well made. The vibe of the place was relaxed and chill — perfect for unwinding after traveling. Definitely a great first stop in the city

Yelp
Wow wow wow!!! This place is SOOO good! Went here recently to give my bf a tour of Philadelphia since he's never been. Wanted to try this place out for the first time and my goodness! I'm so glad I did!!! I got the chicken cheesesteak, he got the regular cheesesteak and my friend got a cheesesteak with oxtail. We also had a couple of drinks and they were so good! Can't remember the name of it though. The actual place is pretty small so NOT a place to bring a big group at all. I'd say about 4 friends max, it's mostly a bar area. Our server was extremely nice and greeted us immediately, the food also came out in around 15 minutes after we ordered so not bad. The chicken cheesesteak I had was so juicy and delish. I mean the amount of MEAT they give you is so generous. If you need a cheesesteak place to go to and your downtown look no further. THIS IS IT! I will defintely be back.

Yelp
We had lunch here before getting on the road to head back to DC. It's a very small cheesesteak spot with a modern twist. I liked that they had several TVs with various games showing, full bar, and a kiosk for ordering to go items. We chose to dine in, but were disappointed to learn that they could not accommodate four people at any table, except the one near the door they created by pushing two tables together. Larger tables were outside, but I'm not a fan of alfresco dining unless it's near something scenic. For a tiny spot, the food was well done. The cheesesteaks were flavorful, and no condiments were needed. We weren't a fan of being served our drinks in plastic cups, but it's more of a dive spot. Customer service was good, the music was nice, and we ultimately had a good time. I would definitely return for a cheesesteak when I'm back in Philly. I just don't suggest this spot for large groups.

Yelp
Very tasty cheesesteak and HUGE portion which was good because it was expensive. I got a chicken cheesesteak and we also got some fries which were nice and crispy and salty The inside of this place was insane. The door opened and we were blasted with music, literally like a club, it was so strange. Very prompt, we ordered to go and it was ready super fast which was nice.

Yelp
Okay, so my husband and I were in town for Nas, and after the concert, I was starving. And let's be honest who doesn't want a Philly cheesesteak when you're in my hometown of Philly? Now, I'm traditionally a chicken cheesesteak girly, but my husband convinced me to switch it up. I searched Yelp and TikTok to see what the hype was about, and that's how we landed at Taste Cheesesteak Bar. We tried the oxtail cheesesteak and baby it did not disappoint. I'm talking slap your momma good at 1:30 AM! The oxtail was tender, seasoned to perfection, and the meat-to-bread ratio? Impeccable. When we bit into it, we literally found ourselves savoring the flavor with our eyes closed. That's how good it was. Every bite was a moment. I highly recommend giving it a try. I'll definitely be back to taste the salmon and jerk cheesesteaks next time I'm in town. We were only in Philly for less than 24 hours, but this spot made the cut!

Yelp
I had a friend who was in town from The Czech Republic and he stayed downtown. I decided to try this place out because I heard so much about it. Parking: street but you won't find any or you may get lucky! Atmosphere: VERY VERY VERY LOUD! We could hardly hear each other or the server. We went for happy hour. The drinks were good. They have a DJ I believe on Wednesday and Friday? The music was good, but that volume. It's very small in there and when it started to get crowded, people had to squeeze by our high top table so we had to make sure that they didn't knock our drinks over. You can walk up and order at a kiosk to take out. Food: my friend had a beef cheesesteak. He enjoyed it but wanted a toasted roll. I had the "oxtail cheesesteak" it wasn't oxtail. It tasted like roast beef. The meat was tender. It was bland. They did not have oxtail sauce. The price is too much. I would suggest sharing this if you want to try it. The people behind us were raving about it but after talking to them they never had oxtails, so they don't know. Service: wasn't too bad. Overall i wasn't impressed. It's not worth the parking and headache to get a mediocre cheesesteak.

Yelp
Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Jeremih all got cheesesteaks from here this weekend! I was in good company. This place's gets super crowded on the weekends. Came after Eagles training camp. Must try the jerk chicken cheesesteak. Better than I could have imagined. The salmon cheesesteak was okay to me. But that jerk chicken had all the flavor. Terrence was a great server. Great place to take friends you haven't seen in a while. They have a bar and have hh specials. I hear they also have a DJ sometimes too.

Yelp
Great Drinks and Delicious Cheesesteak Stopped by Taste Cheesesteak Bar with a friend and we had a great time. My friend ordered the classic Philly cheesesteak, which was hot, flavorful, and well-seasoned, along with a drink from the happy hour menu for $11 that was similar to a Long Island iced tea. I had a classic margarita for $7, and both drinks were well made and a great value. The place was busy with good energy, and everything we tried was tasty. Definitely worth a visit for both the food and the drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Good drinks, good music, cheese steaks on point. Service is alright depending on the time you go . Gotta get some cold holding/storage for the meat if they aren't cooking it, but I guess it's the authenticity of it all and they run through so much.

Yelp
My son found this place on yelp and had to try it since they had Jamaican style cheese steaks. The service was quick and the food came out fast. We got two regular cheese steaks, one oxtail cheese steak and one jerk chicken cheese steak and some fries. We love Jamaican food and will definitely come back for another oxtail and Jerel cheese steak, our only suggestion is if you want more of the flavor then ask for no cheese. The vibes were good and had TV's with sports playing and they serve drinks as well. Great experience and nice alternative if you want a change from the traditional cheese steak.

Yelp
We arrived around 4pm on a Saturday, and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get seats at the bar right away. LeKia was our server/bartender and she was wonderful! We started with the Taste Me Margarita and Hennything is Possible to drink and both were awesome! For food, we decided to get a beef cheesesteak and a jerk chicken cheesesteak and split half and half so we could taste both. My boyfriend gave the beef 9/10 and I gave the chicken 10/10. I liked the beef, but much preferred the chicken. The service was definitely 10/10. It was crazy busy with takeout orders at one point , but we never felt completely ignored. The grills were being cleaned periodically - love to see that ! We parked 1 street over and had no problem swinging in to street parking. The music was also nice!

Yelp
There was a-lot hype from my friends raving how great the cheesesteaks were. The bar had multiple seats at the bar and several tables with even more seats nearby. The bar was packed and I was barely able to squeeze in. After a fews of reviewing the short menu, I ordered the jerk chicken cheesesteak. In a few minutes, I got steaming hot, heavily packed cheesesteak. Each bite was difficult to contain due to how overloaded it was, making the meal messy and fantastic. The flavors were wonderful but not the best I've tasted in Philly (ie. Little Sicily 2 ftw ). Still had great food and a wonderful experience.
google avatar

Sita P.

Yelp
Worth the hype! I'm not a fan of traditional cheesesteaks, I tried a few of the popular spots and was not impressed. Taste popped up on my IG feed and the oxtail cheesesteak immediately caught my attention. Worth the price, huge portion, very tasty. Can't wait to go back and try the other unique menu offerings. The kiosk ordering was quick and easy, food took about 10-15 mins to come out (on a Sunday afternoon).

Yelp
First time trying Taste Cheesesteak Bar and it was delicious. Quality meat, good roll, good cheese, flavorful, nice slight heat, and good portion. Will go back!

Yelp
5 stars for one reason and one reason only: THE SALMON CHEESESTEAK. You can get a cheesesteak on damn near every block in Philly. There's signs and ads everywhere letting you know that. But a good salmon cheesesteak? That's a whole different story. And Taste Cheesesteak Bar has it on lock. The salmon steak was fire , ya hear me--perfectly seasoned, juicy, packed with flavor, and the roll was soft but sturdy enough to handle all that deliciousness. It honestly felt like a PA state treasure! We must protect the salmon steak at all costs so everybody can try it at least once lol. I don't even eat cheesesteaks like that anymore, but baby this one might have just pulled me back in. If you're in Philly and want something that hits different from the usual, get the salmon. You won't regret it. You might also enjoy eating it right at the bar. There is seating indoors and outdoors at the Cheesesteak Bar and you've got a view of them cooking your food so you know it's gonna come out just right. It's got cute decor inside with a sweet bartender and some good drinks. I had the 1990 and it was perfection. I promise they got all the vibes and service to match the good food. Overall, I had a nice experience so I'll be back.

Yelp
The Oxtail Cheesesteak is an absolute must! I ordered mine to go and it was piping hot, a hefty size, and loaded with oxtail meat. So tender with such a fluffy roll, yet super filling. I might have to make this a regular stop on my Philly trips! The restaurant looks cool inside and I do wish I got to stick around to enjoy the cheesesteak at a table or bar, but ordering to go is super easy with their kiosk system. Didn't take too long to get my order and be on my way!
google avatar

Yelp
Sooo taste is in a great spot downtown. It's got fast service, despite being pretty crowded. There is only one veggie option and it's a vegan cheesesteak with mushrooms and cauliflower. It wasn't the most ideal combo but I thought I'd give it a shot. The cheesesteak itself was just okay. I have had better vegan cheesesteaks but also I have had worse , so this fell somewhere in between. If you are craving a sub with lots of veggies then you might love this! it was so so full of veggies it was very messy to eat. My boyfriend loved his Philly cheesesteak though with regular meat. So I'm sure the regular ones taste great. I just wish they had an impossible or beyond meat option for some variety for us vegetarians!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. Right outside of Suburban Station. Came in for lunch and dined in. Great quality food with one of best tasing cheesesteaks I've had in life. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Oxtail cheesesteak caught my eye. But I'm not ready to come off $35 for it. Music was very loud in the afternoon, as if we were at a club But overall very good & I'd come back
google avatar

Yelp
Good food - nice variety of cheesesteaks. I had the jerk chicken cheesesteak and tasted the salmon cheesesteak. Both were delicious and flavorful. The jerk chicken had the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Looking forward to coming back to try the oxtail. Good service - O at the bar made sure he took care of us. The drinks were good.

Yelp
Jerk chicken was delicious I could only eat half It's located in a nice area too I would return to try something different

Yelp
Bomb! My good girlfriend told me about this place, and since I'm here for a bachelorette, I decided to hit it up. The place has tv's up for sports, great music playing in the background and the cooks and servers were so nice. Our waitress name was Stephanie, and she was so sweet! We ordered: * Beef Cheesesteaks - BOMB * Fries - very good * Drinks - pretty good I may have to double back to this spot before heading home!

Yelp
Taste Cheesesteak Bar definitely came with the Taste!! Here in Philly got a conference and my colleagues were telling me about Taste so I had to stop by. The service was phenomenal! Welcomed my friends and I with love. We sat outside which was a great vibe. The cheesesteak options were eye catching and I never in my life knew you could have cheesesteak with oxtails, Salmon or Chicken I always thought beef. I decided to get the Salmon Cheesesteak...listen THEE BEST CHEESESTEAK IN MY LIFE YOU HEAR ME!! I had cheese fries and they were great too! Whenever I come back to Philly I will definitely be coming back to Taste! Thank you all so much for the great food and service. 5 stars isn't enough yall deserve 10 out of 10!!

Yelp
A bar specializing in cheesesteaks, in Philly, seems like a no brainer. I was looking forward to trying Taste Cheesesteak Bar after a rough day at the office. I met up with a friend for Happy Hour. When we arrived we were greeted warmly, but then completely ignored for what felt like a long time. There was other staff working at the time, so we really shouldn't have had to sit there for so long being ignored. It was a hot day and some water would have gone a long way. It turns out we arrived when it was time for a shift change, so we had to wait for one bartender to close out and for another bartender to start. I was tempted to just leave since it took me a while to realize what was going on, but we stayed and the bartender taking over was very nice and did provide good service. I enjoyed the Drop Your Location cocktail she made me. It's a vodka based cocktail with lemonade. It is a cheesesteak bar, so the most important thing is the cheesesteak. They have a variety of them, but I stuck with the basic beef cheesesteak. It was huge. It's so filled with steak that it's hard to bite it. And there is something mixed in the meat or a spice on the meat that gives it a spicy kick. It is a legit Philly cheesesteak, but the spicy kick is unnecessary. And It's so hard to get that perfect bite because it's overstuffed. It on a Liscio's roll, which is one of the best rolls for a cheesesteak. The cheesesteaks here are best shared between two people. Definitely come to Taste hungry. If I come back, I hope it won't be during a shift change.
google avatar

Yelp
I've never had a cheesesteak before this one since I don't eat beef. But let me tell you, this salmon cheesesteak was phenomenal. I think about it all the time. I split the large size with my friend and it was more than sufficient for the both of us. Thirty of us came in at once, and The people working behind the bar were so nice and quick with the food. There's ample seating and it is really cute in there. I love when you can see them cooking the food. I will be back once I'm in Philly for sure
google avatar

Cynthia A.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to try the oxtail cheesesteak and it was delicious ! The regular cheesesteak is also tasty. The cheesesteaks are big enough to share - especially if you're not willing to spend $35 for multiple orders of the oxtail cheesesteaks. They have a full bar but i opted for a Shirley temple. The decor is modern. They had great music playing. I wish they provided hot sauce, as the cheesesteak would have been perfect with some spice . Parking is also tough in the area
google avatar

Yelp
Omg I absolutely loved taste cheesesteak Bar! I got the Salmon cheesesteak with cheese fries and a ginger ale and when I say it was the bomb.com I mean it. The cheese steaks was huge! Our server was sweet and holding it down. The place was not too big and she was assisting many of the tables. She provided solid advise on the menu items and even though she doesn't eat fish she told me all the great things she heard about the salmon cheesesteak which helped make my selection. I wish I got our servers name but Kudos to her for her service. The restroom was super cute and the pics on the wall gave me a good laugh. I'm glad this place is not in my backyard because my waist line couldn't take it lol. If you're in the area stop by and give that SALMON CHEESESTEAK a TASTE!
google avatar

Yelp
Probably the best cheesesteaks I've ever had! Everything there is great! They also give you a very generous amount of meat. You will not leave hungry!!
google avatar

Jamaal M.

Yelp
Everything here was so good! The flavors were amazing, there were live music and large TVs to watch sports on. Kind of a small place but it makes up for it with their cheesesteaks! No ketchup needed! You better come hungry!
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
This might be the best cheesesteak I've had in years! Juicy & very flavorful! No wiz... They used another cheese that had a bit of zest to it. It was very delicious! The service was slow because they were very busy on a Friday night, but our server was so nice and friendly! The fries were basic and my margarita was sweeter than I usual like. But overall this was a great experience. There was a DJ spinning great music and there was a bit of a club vibe. The music was very loud... but I got used to it. There were big screens with basketball playing, perfect if you're trying to see a game. I definitely recommend this place for delicious steaks and friendly service! FYI they have oxtail, chicken and salmon cheesesteaks. Very unique... I might try them in the future! I got the beef this time.

Yelp
~ This review won't be long (pause).... All imma say is, this is the best steak & cheese ever !! Go to Philly immediately. The flavor is unmatched. I had the beef cheesesteak at the bar & took an oxtail cheesesteak home. Simply amazing! Long Islands are $22.00 when it's not happy hour. Definitely a stretch, but it is what it is. They have wings and spring rolls on the menu, but I think she said you can only get those on weekends or in the evenings. One of them. I forgot. The service was great. The bartenders love to have fun and are very respectful. Fire bathroom too. Gotta take a selfie in it. Lol, Hope you enjoy it. #TeamDiesel4Evaaa

Yelp
This place was packed when we went on a Saturday night. We were told it would be a 90 minute wait so we went to misconduct bar which was basically next door. Luckily we didn't have to wait 90 mins and it was only like a 30 minute wait we had. This place is black owned and is known for their interesting cheesesteaks. They have an oxtail and jerk chicken on the menu. The bathroom had an interesting vibe. There was a sign that said "taste me" but was surrounded by a fake plant wall. The bathroom definately felt like a new age interior decorator decked it out. I ended up getting a jerk chicken with mushrooms. I really loved the cheesesteak. They had cooper sharp cheese which was really good. They cooked the meat, peppers, and onions perfectly. The meat was marinated perfectly as well. The fries that my friends and I split were pretty tasty as well. I don't really like fries but these were amazing. They had cheese on them that just melted in your mouth. The drinks at this place were pretty strong as well. It was interesting that they put a cute light in it. The only thing I didn't like about this place was how loud the music was. It was a couple decibels louder than I would have liked it. Regardless this place had amazing cheesesteaks and that's all that matters!

Yelp
I was visiting Philadelphia from out of town and wanted to have a classic Philly cheesesteak, since it was my first time in the area. The hotel directed me to this spot and I'm so glad they did! The cheese fries were probably the best I've ever had - both the fries and the cheese sauce were perfection. One thing that sets this place apart from your classic hole in the wall cheesesteak places is that, first, it takes credit cards (which is a must for me), and second, it had a variety of options, in case your group is split about the desire for Philly cheesesteak. The waitress said the salmon and chicken jerk are the most popular items on the menu. Now, obviously, the salmon did not have the same fixings as the beef - that would be an odd pairing, but it did have a chili sauce that was nice. The beef cheesesteak was my favorite, though - it was so good with the onions and peppers.... I would definitely go back to this spot in downtown Philly!

Yelp
This place is lively and full of fun energy even at 2pm! The food is delicious, fresh, and made to order. Servers were friendly and fast! And they made sure I didn't get cheese...I know I know...dairy allergy. But damnit was a good steak sandwich!! Yes. I ate the whole thing.
google avatar

Quita M.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my visit! The place is small with a bar and a few high top tables. I sat at the bar across from grill, if I had somewhere to go afterwards, I would definitely sit by the door to avoid your clothes smelling like food haha I got a jerk chicken cheesesteak and it was AMAZING! Best chicken cheesesteak I've ever had! I got margarita, which is expensive outside of happy hour. It's $22 but $11 after happy hour discount. It was really cute with a flashing light inside for aesthetics. I had two servers that helped me out and everything went really fast. I'd def recommend this place! Can't wait to go again!!

Yelp
I ended up going to this place on a whim and let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere was lit, the Eagles were playing, it was nothing but Eagles fans in there, and everybody was lit. Every touchdown everyone got a free shot. But let's get back to this food. This oxtail cheesesteak was the juiciest, heaviest, seasoned cheesesteak that I've ever had. Normally, I have to ask for extra cheese with the cheesesteak, but you didn't have to do that with this. It was cheesy to perfection! And the bread was super soft. Everything pretty much just melted in your mouth. And the cheese fries are super underrated. These were some of the best cheese fries I've ever had in Philly, no cap. If you haven't been to display yet, I suggest you go, preferably during an Eagles game so you can experience the same vibe that I did.

Yelp
Its a YES for me! The best Jerk Chicken philly in town! I am loving the whole vibe! We ordered the jerk chicken philly, the jolly rancher cocktail and a margarita and everything was poppin! The service was great and the vibe was lit, good music and Philadelphia. has the best people around! This place is definitely a HIT!

Yelp
Vibes are great in the evening, we came in on a weekday evening, on a Wednesday. Food was a bit pricey but very tastey, if I remember correctly, the oxtail cheesesteak goes for $35. Staff was nice, bartenders were nice, I'd recommend coming here and sitting inside to fully soak up the vibes

Yelp
The best Cheesesteak in Philadelphia by far, I ordered 3 Jerk chicken cheesesteaks to take home to Florida. The next time I go I want to try the famous oxtail cheesesteak.

Yelp
This place is poppin! It's a great place for a date night. They have indoor seating for tables of two, maybe three and seating at the bar. It appears they will have outdoor seating also when the weather permits. They offer a selection a chef created cheesesteaks, fries, pizzas and sides. We ordered the jerk chicken cheesesteaks and chicken cheeseste fries with peppers and onions. This food was really delicious . Just enough jerk seasoning and spice with the cheese!!! The rolls were soft and tasted fresh baked. They offer alcoholic beverages and beer. We had Modelos. Expect to wait!!!, as the food is prepared to order. The earlier you come the better if you're trying to get a table. They also have happy hour throughout the week. Watch the short video posted. Black owned restaurant that's seems to be doing well and servicing the community with great food. We will definitely be coming back to try some different cheesesteaks.

Yelp
The food looked good, but how to get it? I stood for over 10 minutes waiting to be seated. There were 2 empty tables and open seats at the bar. 3 times an employee walked past me and I smiled each time. Twice she looked me in the eyes and looked away and walked off. She came over and spoke with a customer that she seemed familiar with who was standing right next to me. I would have rather had bad service than to be SO BLATANTLY IGNORED. I walked out and enjoyed sushi next door.

Yelp
First time visiting and it was amazing! The take out line was crazy long so we decided to eat in. The service, food and drinks were great! Our waitress was hilarious and definitely made our night...will absolutely be going back!

Yelp
Philly Cheesesteaks. Visited on a Friday night. They have a kiosk to order on for takeout. I decided to get the Oxtail cheesesteak (I added ketchup when I got home). They were sold out of the seeded bread roll so I had to get the plain roll and it did not disappoint. I want to try the salmon cheesesteak next. Also, I tried the jerk chicken fries and I was in shocked on how cheesy and flavorful they were (might've been better than the cheesesteak ). The spot is kind of small but they make it work if you want to dine in. Go support & check them out for yourself.

Yelp
Taste was recommended to us by a Philadelphian. We enjoyed the beef cheesesteak and drinks here. It was close by and we thought we should try it out.

Yelp
It was my first time in Philly, so of course I had to get a Philly cheesesteak! I was recommended to Tasty by my hairstylist and I'm so glad I tried this place! After looking through yelp reviews to decide what to order I landed on the beef cheesesteak with cheese fried and a margarita! The food is cooked right in front of you and everything came out hot and fresh! Plus, the margarita did the job so well that I ordered a second one! I was on a solo trip and the friendly staff got me seated right at the bar. My total for a beef cheesesteak, cheese fries and two margaritas came to $38 which is great in my eyes! I'm from Atlanta and I feel like this would cost me $50 back at home. The ambiance was nice -- they have the TVs going and great music playing (not too loud either!) Overall I was pleased with my experience and definitely recommend!

Yelp
Went to this spot about an hour after they opened coincidentally. I was expecting the restaurant to be busy seeing as people were filling the tables out on the patio. However, upon walking in with a calm ambiance and blue lighting spreading throughout the atmosphere, there were only a handful of people at tables including at the bar. I ordered the Salmon cheese steak and my friend ordered the Oxtail cheese steak along with cheese fries. This was my first time having a salmon cheesesteak and I have always never cared much for cheese steaks but I finished the first half of mine in less than 5 minutes. The server asked me if I wanted the sweet chili sauce on my cheesesteak but I opted to have it on the side not knowing if it would be spicy or not. The sweet chili sauce went great with the cheese fries and I regretted not adding the sauce in my cheesesteak. We didn't get any drinks but was told by my friend their drinks are just as good as the food. The server was friendly and engaging. Overall, this place has a simple menu, which is very welcoming for a place which known by their cheesesteaks. Food was flavorful and not overwhelming. I'll be returning to try their drinks when I'm in Philly again.

Yelp
This is tough because : FOOD TASTE = 100% 5 stars! SERVICE = 100% 0 stars! BAR = 100% 1 star! This place just needs Robert Irvine from Food Network to show them how to run their service and bar because it's literally the worst I've ever experienced in YEARS! But the food needs not a single thing taste wise to make it better. Nothing! Portion wise for fries, definitely fill the plate. Oh and they ran out of all things OXTAIL ... like how sway? When it's featured as the star on the already limited menu. We literally waited over an hour and a half for our $22 each drinks; and when they finally came, straight SYRUP! We politely returned them and requested they be taken off he check. They need to get their act together SOON! Because the potential for SUCCESS and for FAILURE is neck and neck!

Yelp
Food was great! I ordered the vegitarian cheesesteak with mushroom's and cauliflower and I was HUGE and filing! Service was quicker and friendly (I went on a Sunday night) . Ambiance was a bit of a night club vibe with food. I sat at the bar but lighting is dim with a pink over hue and r&b music is playing.

Yelp
The oxtail cheesesteak was amazing, plus happy hour drinks and kind service. Can't wait to try the salmon option!

Yelp
If you want cheesesteak and do not want the craziness that comes with pat's and geno's, this is your place. Cool, mellow bar environment with knowledgeable staff and good food. The variety of cheesesteaks is sure to suit any appetite. I was able to get mine without a bun and on top of fries, due to an allergy.
