Where To Eat Outside In Williamsburg

"Like both of the Manhattan locations of The Butcher’s Daughter, the all-day cafe in Williamsburg is offering patio seating every day from 8am-10pm. You can reserve a table ahead of time through their website, or walk-in whenever you’re in the mood for a latte and cold-pressed juice, or glass of wine and spicy kale caesar." - matt tervooren

Crown Shy in Financial District Scores Its First Positive Review - Eater NY

"Williamsburg vegan cafe the Butcher's Daughter has added a bakery and market next door, at the corner of Metropolitan and Driggs Avenue. The space has a 17-foot long communal table, where diners can have coffee from popular Colombian roaster Devocion, juices, and organic smoothies. Plus, executive pastry chef Perry Ledesma is rolling out an artisanal bread program featuring an extra sour sourdough and gluten-free ciabatta; vegan pastries like a huckleberry-ginger muffin are also planned. The market portion of the space will sell to-go foods like avocado toast as well as retail items like spa products." - Carla Vianna

I spoiled my vegetarian friend by bringing her here before she traveled back to CA. She enjoyed the food so much and she help me pick what good as I'm not a vegan. We order... - 2 booster shots: our server forgot the order, so we got them at the end. I had this kind of shot before, but their shots were very good. 10/10 - Daily Soup: came in big bowl so we just share it 8/10 - Gem Salad: interesting taste 8/10 - Spicy Kale Caesar: crunchy and delicious 9/10 Funny story about how I know this restaurant. I live in the neighborhood, and I always walk my dog around the area. I saw this restaurant had open space and seats on the sidewalk with very natural tree and plants decorated all around. I just loved it and one time I was hanging out with another group of friends that weren't vegan. We were hungry and want to eat somewhere and I brought them here :) After my non vegan friend saw the menu in front of the restaurant, she made fun of me then we went somewhere else. I still wanted to try the food here but didn't have chance to come since ppl around me only eat meat. So, this was a great time because I had a vegetarian friend came visited and I DID IT!

The place is simply magnificent. I took a shot of espresso as soon as we sat down and I think it was the strongest one I’ve ever tried. My mind was simply going bzzzzzzzzzoom 👽🛸👾 food came, and it was delicious! Service was kind, very very kind! Cool vibe too!

One of my favorite spots in Williasmburg. The food is always fresh and creative—my last meal included the cauliflower cacio e pepe and zucchini carbonara, both were so good. I also had one of their tiny martinis (they’re $10 on Tuesdays!) and it was perfect. It’s the kind of place that works for any occasion—brunch with friends, a solo coffee, or dinner and drinks. The space is beautiful without trying too hard, and the staff is always kind. If you’re local, you probably already know this place is solid. And if you’re visiting, it’s a great mix of good design, great food, and a chill vibe.

Great place for both having a nice brunch in the area int he morning and grabbing some wine and tapas in the evening. For the brunch menu they have amazing tofu shakshuka which is difficult to find, so the place is very VG friendly. On Wednesdays they have 1/2 price for all the wines which makes experience even nicer (wine and tapas are great).

The Butcher’s Daughter: A Vegetarian Gem in Williamsburg Despite its name, The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based paradise catering to vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners. Nestled in Williamsburg, it offers a perfect mix of rustic charm, hipster vibes, and fresh, inventive flavors. Ambiance & Service With industrial accents, wooden decor, exposed brick, and lush greenery, the space is effortlessly stylish yet welcoming. Whether you grab a spot at the communal tables, cozy bar, or outdoor patio, the atmosphere is perfect for brunch or a casual night out. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring a smooth dining experience even during busy hours. The Menu: Plant-Based Perfection The menu is packed with creative, fresh, and flavorful dishes. Avocado Toast – Thick sourdough or gluten-free bread topped with smashed avocado, heirloom tomatoes, pickled onions, and chili flakes. Dragon Fruit Bowl – A colorful mix of pitaya, coconut, granola, and fresh fruit. Butcher’s Pancakes – Gluten-free, fluffy, and topped with maple syrup and coconut whipped cream. Spicy Kale Caesar – Massaged kale, toasted chickpeas, cashew Parmesan, and creamy vegan dressing. Veggie Burger – A house-made lentil-mushroom-walnut patty on a gluten-free bun with sweet potato fries. Drinks & Pricing From cold-pressed juices and superfood lattes to organic wines and craft cocktails, there’s something for every mood. Highlights include the Golden Latte (turmeric, coconut milk, cinnamon) and the Mezcal Mule. Prices are reasonable, with entrees around 15 to 22 dollars and drinks between 6 to 12 dollars—well worth it for the quality. Final Verdict The Butcher’s Daughter is a must-visit for plant-based food lovers. With its beautiful ambiance, warm service, and delicious menu, it’s easily one of the best vegetarian spots in Williamsburg. Rating: 5/5. Would I go back? Absolutely.

Went for brunch and the food was delicious as were the drinks. Service could’ve been better as it was hard to get the server’s attention even after the rush had died down. Definitely will be back for dinner.

Carbonara was delightful. Vegan bechamel was delicious and savory, but still light. The zucchini noodles had a great texture to them, perfectly cooked. The only thing I’m knocking them for is the portion size! I expected a bit more for the price, but alas - I am eating in Williamsburg.
