On our way to Tokyo, a friend told us about this amazing all-female-run Kaiseki restaurant, which was absolutely delightful and delicious. But don't let that fool you. You will certainly get more than the usual all-boys club-style kaiseki.
They explained the origin of every single dish they served us with skilled details and enthusiasm. for example, our chef server Mayu explained the history of soba noodles and how she started making noodles with her mom at a very young age.
They were definitely different; they were not just skilled at their crafts, they were engaging, and funny.
