The Best Affordable Restaurants in Las Vegas for a Cheap Meal | Eater Vegas

"The Venezuelan arepas at Viva Las Arepas range from $5.50 to $9 and may be a best bet for an inexpensive handheld meal in Las Vegas. Order the reina pepieda arepa with chicken, avocado, and mayonnaise for $8.50, or smaller bites, like chicken empanadas and guava and cheese pastelitos, which run for $4.50 each and pack no less flavor." - Janna Karel

The Best Cheap Eats In Las Vegas 2024

"It’s getting closer to dinnertime but you’re realizing it’s probably worth bumping your reservation. That’s because everyone is still full from lunch at Viva Las Arepas. This Venezuelan restaurant downtown specializes in arepas (all of which are around $10), and we’re big fans of getting a few empanadas and, well, really anything with the shredded beef. And before you leave, ask for a guava and cheese pastelito to go, because if you’re already pushing dinner back, you might as well get a snack." - edward thompson, gabe bergado

Viva Las Arepas Review - The Strip - Las Vegas - The Infatuation

"It’s 5pm and every single person in your group has separately texted you asking about the dinner reservation. No, your friends haven’t suddenly become super time-conscious, they’re all just still full from lunch at Viva Las Arepas. This Venezuelan restaurant downtown specializes in arepas (all of which are under $8), but we’re big fans of getting a few empanadas as well. And before you leave, grab a guava and cheese pastelito to go because if you’re already pushing dinner back, you might as well get a snack." - Edward Thompson

Went back twice. I wish my hometown had a place like this. Better yet, I wish I could just teleport this restaurant home with me lol! Great food, service, clean restaurant. And great prices on top of all that! I had the gelato they offer and that was really tasty too

Matthew Anthony

Google
Best meal I have EVER had gluten free. They also have nice free dessert on top! The service was great! I will definitely come here EVERY time I’m in town!!!!!!!

We stopped in to try some authentic Venezuelan food and it did not disappoint. The arepa with shredded chicken was so tasty. It was stuffed to the brim and very filling for around $10. The salsa was also super delicious.

My wife and I keep coming back to Viva Las Arepas, and every time it somehow gets even better. Robert made sure we felt completely welcome, creating such an inclusive and warm environment from the moment we walked in. Naxon takes real pride in every part of the business. You can tell he puts his heart into it. he’s involved, attentive, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Seeing a family-owned business run this well is honestly inspiring, especially knowing how challenging it can be. Now the food: the ground beef and rice pastelito was fantastic, and the tequeño with cheese is easily my favorite item on the menu. I wish I could eat one every day. But the cachapa with cheese? That’s my new obsession. The sweet corn flavor paired with the buttery, toasty cheese is on another level. I couldn’t stop going in for more! Their salsas are a fantastic touch. The pastel de queso was perfectly savory with a hint of sweetness. And the parrilla mixta plate was next-level delicious. The wood-fired flavor on the meats gave it that comforting, home-cooked feel. Everything, from the beef to the chicken to the sausage, was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Authentic, flavorful, and made with love. We can’t wait to come back. Their freshly made drinks are always a hit! Please support local businesses like these who deserve all of their hard earned success.

Google
Great place for arepas and juice drinks. Pretty short walk to the arts district loved the food but the staff put it over the top. So nice and helpful helping us find best options. We were even given a free cheese stick. It’s a walk from the strip toward the strata, but it was more than worth it to get away from all the chains.

Google
I highly recommend this place! The cachapa and pabellón plate were absolutely delicious – full of flavor and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great food, great service!

Google
We got four different types of Arepas which included two chicken, one pork and a garlic shrimp one. All the four arepas were delicious. The Reina Pepiada (chicken with avocado and cilantro) Arepa was the standout for me. Even though the Arepas look small two Arepas can be really filling.

Google
Excellent hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Don't eat at the casinos on the strip unless you like getting ripped off. This place is cheaper with far better food and friendly service. The arepas are of course their signature meal and run around $10 to $12 each. There are other items available like empanadas, postres, pastelitos, and soups as well. I'd highly recommend this place, especially if you're staying in the area. It's walking distance from the Stratosphere.

Yelp
Friends recommendation. This place is located on the cross street of Las Vegas and Olympic. Next to a strip club. Parking is extremely limited. Place has outside and inside seating. This is known for variety of Venezuelan dishes. Chicken is wood fire so expect some char to it. Order #12 Pabellon Arepa and adding extras sides of black beans & rice. There's no combo prices if you are wondering. Everything is made to order so expect to wait. The Pabellon looks like a small sandwich with rice and beans and beef and cheese. It tastes good but if you are looking something hearty and more food, order additional sides if you are planning to be full. Overall, this is good and trying it out. It doesn't offer a lot of food for that price but it rewards in flavor and taste

Yelp
Came here after we watched a YouTube video on this location. The food was good, the only complaint was that the inside of the empanada was cold. The arepas were delicious. The coffee was good as well, usually drink with milk and sugar, but only added sugar. They only had powdered creamer which i do not enjoy. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Gone are the days of $4.99 Arepas. Inflationary costs on food prices are now reflected in the current menu prices. Arepas are now about $10 each on average. Still delicious like they were when I last had them in Las Vegas. Service still friendly and inviting unlike some other places in Las Vegas.

Yelp
I've always liked coming here but their price increases over the last couple years have been the reason why I may come less or stop coming altogether. I mean $11 for an arepa is crazy! They also nickel and dime you by charging 50 cents each for sauce to go while it's totally free when dining in. I also don't recommend coming too close to closing time because they will stop making certain foods, such as the woodfired chicken which is one of my favorite things here.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. Came here on a friends reccomendation. They continue to be friends. Lol. Great Venezuelian food. Tried 5 different dishes and all were great. The shredded beef black bean plantain and cheese Arepas was beyond delicious. The house cilantro sauce is the perfect accent to the food. Service was super great and on a personal note, Robert took the time to realky explain what each dish was my ignorent self. This place is a super gem in the city and we will aurely recomment it to all.

Yelp
The arepas were very good, they had a great variety and we were pleasantly surprised by how good they tasted. Glad they have arepas here, since there aren't many similar restaurants around. It's definitely worth a stop if you passing through Vegas. Plenty of seating inside and good and fast service.

Yelp
My fellow Elite Dennis T. turned me on to this place years ago, well before he made Sin City his home. Sooo glad he recommended Viva Las Arepas, I've been coming here ever since. I swear they opened another location, but I can't seem to find it. Hope I'm not going crazy, maybe it closed? Not sure why that would happen, these guys make some amazing Arepas. Actually, come to think of it, I haven't had anything bad here. So tasty...Sooo much flavor! Viva Las Arepas also expanded their venue as well. There was a Gelato store next door, looks like they acquired that space and created a cafe style interior with desserts. Not sure what the plans for the future are, but glad they are doing well. I've tried most items on the menu over the years, however they expanded the menu. Looks like they slowly added several items. OMG! The Green Sauce! Don't sleep on that one...got a nice kick to it. #Arepas & More: ~ 1. Wood Fried Beef - 4/5 ~ 3. Beef Shredded - 4.5/5 ~ 8. Garlic Shrimp - 5/5 ~ 7. Reina Pepida - 4.5/5 ~ 11. Perico - 4/5 ~ 12. Pabellon - 4.5/5 ~ Tequeñones - 3.5/5 They also serve Gelato now...I didn't get a chance to try that yet.

Yelp
I first developed an appreciation for Venezuelan food when I lived next to an Afro-Venezuelan restaurant in Philadelphia's Loft District. As a frequent diner at their restaurant, they provided me consistent five-star service, introduced me to arepas and Venezuelan hot chocolate, and told me the best stories to share their cultural insights about Venezuela. Viva Las Arepas is much more of a high-volume institution than a warm and cozy mom-and-pop restaurant, like the one I mentioned above. What Viva Las Arepas lacks in intimacy, it delivers in spades with solid customer service, mesmerizing aromas, and mouthwatering noshes of Venezuelan street food. The reina pepiada arepa (named after the first Venezuelan international beauty queen) is my all-time favorite and what I ordered the last time I visited Viva Las Arepas. I decided to branch out this time around, and I ordered the shrimp arepa (#8) with avocado and fried egg along with the pabellon arepa (#12) that came with beef, black beans, plantain, and cheese... OMG, I'm filing the shrimp arepa (with avocado and fried egg) under GREAT IDEAS WORTH CELEBRATING because it was absolutely divine!!! The arepa hit all the flavor and textural elements that I look for in a great sandwich--crunchy, garlicky, creamy, chewy, textural contrast, and harmonious flavors--and the fried egg and corn flavor of the arepa just took it to the next level. While the pabellon arepa was highly recommended in previous Yelp reviews and is listed as a chef's recommendation on the restaurant's menu, I much preferred the shrimp arepa. The reina pepiada arepa (my all-time favorite) is also now a distant second to the shrimp arepa. Nom nom. Note: For those with gluten allergies or gluten sensitivities, arepas are gluten free.

Yelp
$5 for one empanada is insane in my opinion however that empanada crust was quite literally the best I've ever had. I would definitely come back and try more items. The service was pretty fast and they were a little busy but they had plenty of seating available.

Yelp
The only thing I'm mad about is that I never found out about Viva Las Arepas until recently. I visit Vegas about once/twice a year from California and I saw this place mentioned in a YouTube video. Its is walking distance from the strat and Sahara and it HITS. I had it delivered the first night I was staying in Vegas because I wasn't feeling well. It instantly cured me and I knew I had to get it again! I got the 1) wood fire beef and 2)roasted pork butt. Wow, it was still hot and the flavor just all melts together perfectly On that same trip, I went back in the morning for the pabellon and chicken. I did love the marinated chicken and roasted pork butt but the smokiness from the wood fire beef can't be beat. I almost went back AGAIN for a third time but knew I should try to explore new places lol. Fyi- they accept cash for orders less than $10 (or credit card charge if less) so make sure you get everything you want in one order

Yelp
So grateful to have found a delicious and culturally authentic place like this! We loved everything we had, especially the cachapa! I had the Reina Pepiada Arepa and while it was delightful, I felt like the filling would've been better had it been warm. Nonetheless, the arepa maize patty was amazing! The staff was happy to help and they were doing a fantastic job keeping the place clean and comfortable!

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised by the food here. It does not look like much but it was packed with flavors similar but unique at the same time. The portions are bigger too than what you see. I thought these were small tapas size bites but I was barely able to finish 2 sandwiches. We ordered 4 Arepas and shared. Straight from the top of the menu we ordered #1 thru #4. #1 Carne Asada was ok but it was great with the two sauces they give you. #2 Wood fired shredded Chicken reminded me of a pulled chicken sandwich was also better with the two sauces. #3 Pulled Pork Butt reminded me of the BBQ pulled pork sandwich but had its own unique flavors. It really did not need the sauces. #4 Shredded Beef is like pot roast on a sandwich but had it own flavor profile which was unique to me. It was packed with flavor the two sauces really enhanced the taste Our favorite was the #3 Pork Butt. It was similar to the American Pulled Pork Sandwich but really different at the same time. Our ranking for the 4 Arepas: #4 Pork Butt #3 Shredded Beef #2. Shredded Chicken #1 Carne Asada We will be back to try the other items on the menu!

Yelp
$4.25 Empanadas batter are dairy free!! $9ish Arepa are heft cornmeal savory sandwiches. $9.75 Beef Arepa (with no beans/I can't digest it) was delicious and filling!! Takes credit card. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are helpful and nice. Popular Arepa (savory cornmeal cakes) includes #3, and staff's top favorites -- Shredded beef, #7 Chicken, #12 Beef. We got $9.75 for #12 beef, Beans, Plantain without cheese. $4.50 Passion fruit is sweet but nice on a hot day. There is ac in the restaurant with lots of seating. Parking: On the side and the back. From the back, you can enter through their back door. Restrooms need a code.

Yelp
very disappointed. ordered basic half chicken plate. fries were co d. chicken tasted like it was prepared many hours earlier and was not that moist. which makes me wonder why it took so long to get my order. won't being going back for sure

Yelp
Sercice was ok, lines were short, and prices were cheap! Never had Venezualean food before but it was delicous! Have picky eaters in your family? Have no fear; they have french fries and some other options for you! Located on the strip within walking distance of The Strat. What are arepas you ask? Gyro, burrito, torta, thingy? Delicous is what it was.

Yelp
Viva Las Arepas was sooooo good! It is located downtown but does have a parking lot (and it's free) Right away we saw they have a big outdoor patio with lots of seating. The inside also has a lot of seating, tv's and also noticed that it's connected to a gelato shop. They have 2 menus - one in English and one in Spanish. Everything looked so good but thanks to Roberto's recommendations it made it easier to order. We went with 2 arepas - Roasted Pork Butt & Reina Pepiada which is chicken. We also ordered a side of fried plantains. That was the perfect amount of food for 2 and it's was about $25. Both arepas were delicious! The meats were full of flavor. Make sure to grab a bottle of the 2 different salsas for even more flavor! The fried plantains were so good. Warm, crispy and had both sweet and savory. Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Ever since I had my first arepa, this has been one of my favorite Latin American dishes. The restaurant interior is colorful but relatively basic, not a fancy place for sure. You order at the counter and wait for pickup and bus your own table. We ordered a single arepa to share and it was everything I remembered, from the tender and juicy pulled beef, the sweet caramelized plantains, the rich and savory black beans, and the salty crumbly cheese. Also, the light green sauce completes the flavor ensemble with its sweet floral creaminess. The arepa itself was soft and tender on the outside, I would've liked mine just a little more crisp on the exterior. I cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
Best Arepas ever!!!!!!!! I come from Orange just to eat here. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time we are visiting friends we come to eat here.

Yelp
Mood - Those moments when you ask why haven't you done this sooner I do my best to live my life as authentically as possible. Intentional living is in my core. I don't want the late night what ifs or the coulda, shoulda, woulda thoughts. Being in Vegas we have so many restaurants that have been established for years, along with all the newcomers and so little time. This was on my list that should have been crossed off years ago. Upon entering, there was the hustle and bustle of everything going on. Lines were formed. And the aromas were present. Of course opted for those Guava Empanadas, Reina Pepiada, Flan, and Carne Mechada. Don't let these pictures fool you. These delectable goodies are quite filling. I didn't know at first and over bought. Which proved well for me as I took them home for the family to devour. All of the flavors were wonderful. Interior is a good size, there are several seating arrangements along with outdoor seating as well. Music was playing in the background. Would most def recommend- prices were very reasonable. The customer service was very courteous and hospitable. Location is Las Vegas Blvd/Oakey- there is a small parking lot that gets very congested

Yelp
Viva Las Arepas has been a local gem of Vegas for a long awhile, and my husband and I only recently finally tried it. We loved it! First of all, the service is so friendly and nice. To top it off, the food is delicious with reasonable prices. We tried an assortment of arepas - carne asada, pollo asado mechado, pork butt. The best was carne asada by far, and I liked that it came with tomato and lettuce. The chicken was not as flavorful as the carne asada. We also tried carne asada and pollo empanadas. I wasn't in love with them, and we probably wouldn't get them again. Overall, if I wanted a snack, I'd come back for a carne asada arepa. Very family friendly place!

Yelp
Here's your note: When I was in Vegas a couple of months ago, my vegetarian friend suggested Viva Las Arepas. I knew it would offer both amazing meat and veggie options. When we arrived, the place was almost empty, but after we started ordering, it quickly filled up. I can see why--it was fantastic! The options were incredible, and I hadn't experienced this type of cuisine in sandwich form before. Everything was hot, fresh, and made to order. The staff was super helpful in guiding me through the menu. I ordered a beef sandwich with amazing bread and mouthwatering sauces--cooling ranch with a slight kick. I also tried something unfamiliar, which turned out to be a giant mozzarella stick, but different in texture and taste. They also served fresh juices and fruited ice cream, which were a refreshing touch. I loved the experience--if you're in Vegas, you've got to check them out!

M P.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Easy 10 or 15-min Uber ride to get there from our stay at the Cosmo (tell your driver to take Industrial Road as ours did, much faster than Las Vegas Blvd and all that traffic). Very friendly, efficient ordering at the counter. Nice options, good flavor. Note: Very, very bright in there. If I ran it I'd switch to some lower wattage or add a dimmer switch.

Yelp
Nestled on the old town end of the strip, Viva Las Arepas is a little treasure situated on a visible corner lot next to a small strip and conveniently across from the tattoo parlor we had just visited to celebrate my daughter's first tattoo! The moment we walked in, the owner/night manager made us feel like we were visiting our favorite abuelo's house for lunch. We arrived just before closing and snagged his last four arepas (sorry to the guy who came in right after us!). Despite the late hour, the owner didn't rush us and even gave us his top recommendations for the best arepas. He is AMAZING! Here are our selections: Shredded Chicken (Pollo Asado): Tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It was like a hug from the inside. Roasted Pork (Pernil): Juicy, succulent, and bursting with super rich and Porky goodness. This one is a must-try! Black Beans and Cheese (Frijoles Negros con Queso): Creamy, cheesy, and oh-so-satisfying. This one make the perfect late night comfort food. The only thing missing would be a good cerveza! Garlic Shrimp (Ajo Mariscos): My absolute favorite! The shrimp were cooked to Tender perfection, and that garlic sauce? I wanted to BATHE in it! The arepas themselves were the best I've had! The corn was super fine, and they were toasted on the griddle to perfection. Each one was stuffed to bursting with meat and fillings galore. You are also able to customize your arepas to your own flavorful picture of perfection. Add things like avocado, lettuce, tomate, etc... Just ask what's available! While waiting for our food, the owner let us try some drinks from the fountain on the house. The sugarcane and lime drink? OMG, it is FANTASMIC!!! I usually stick to water, but this drink is AMAZING. I wish I could find it where I'm at! IDK how much sugar is actually in it but it didn't affect me the way sugar drinks normally do and I would LOVE to have more please!! Oh!!! I almost forgot about the Yucca Frittes!! These little babies are like fries on STEROIDS I LOVE the crisp, slightly salty golden nuggies. They have always been one of my Fave starchy snacks. So of course I had to get an order!! YUM!! Viva Las Arepas is a fantastic spot on the old town end of the Las Vegas strip. The homey vibe, welcoming owner and staff, and phenomenal food make it a must-visit. Whether you're an arepas aficionado or a first-timer, this place will blow you away. Don't miss out!
google avatar

Charmaine D.

Yelp
The food here is wonderful! The service was also amazing , Roberto recommended a few item. We went with #7,#12, flan and the lime and sugarcane Fresca. You have to try the flan! It's silky and creamy, not too sweet We also had military discount which was nice of them. Overall experience was amazing, definitely coming back here!
google avatar

Ayesha A.

Yelp
Great place to get Arepas. Arepas are a soft, fluffy bread filled with warm meat. This is on the strip near by the STRAT, and its kind of in a sketch part of the strip, but def worth going to try this place out! It has plenty of seats inside and quick service.
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
This was my first time trying out Venezuelan food and wow I was super impressed. There was so much flavor in all of the dishes. Really loved the variety of Arepas. Their sauce was also on point. The wait is not too bad, and theres even ice cream right next to the cashier on the right. Put this on your list to try!
google avatar

Lorri P.

Yelp
Thr good was good but after I got home, I didn't have plantains as ordered and I was charged in my vegetarian arepas so that was really a bummer. The service was good, it was to go. It's clean but you may want to double check your food.
google avatar

Brent F.

Yelp
This place was great. The moment you walk in you can smell the food and it's one of those smells where you know it's gonna be good. I tried a few Arepas, some rice and beans and the sugar cane drink and everything was great. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely go back. It's easy to drive by this place and not expect it to be what it is but it's a gem so definitely give them a try if you are in the area or looking for good Venezuelan or latin food. Lots of parking on site and it's also right beside the number 2 bus stop if you want to get there by bus. They also sell flan, ice cream and other desserts and coffee and I hope to go back and try those some day.
google avatar

Yesenia A.

Yelp
My family and I love this place. The arepas are fresh type of sandwich made with corn masa that when cooked is textured on the outside and soft on the inside stuffed with your preferred protein options. An absolute favorite side - is a fried yoga.-similar to steak fries, they are super crunchy and delicious. Also, absolutely make sure that you try their creamy green salsa to top everything.
google avatar

Kirsten F.

Yelp
Whenever I need a quick vegetarian snack (their meat options are tasty too) I head here! I get the vegetarian option with the black beans. Usually the service is super quick and the price is reasonable! The sauces are all delicious and I love eating in the restaurant, so I can have unlimited sauce ! There's not a ton of parking, but I usually find a spot! The staff is sweet and attentive. Can be a little bit inside during the summer though!
google avatar

Jerniel D.

Yelp
The hype is real. My first time ever trying an arepa, and it did not disappoint. Robert recommended the #1, #7 and #12. At first I got one, but after trying it, had to get the other recommendations. All delicious in their own way. Excited to try the other menu items as well. Plenty of seating, fast, friendly service. Will be coming back again soon.

Yelp
We love Viva Las Arepas .... Best food best service - friendly service. Clean place. Food is top notch. The fried yuca is better than any French fry you could order anywhere. If you've not been here & you live in vegas ... COME. If you are from out of town .... Come here! We live on other side of town and the drive is worth it!!!
google avatar

Jerome C.

Yelp
The location is north of the strip but nice. Self service where you pick up your food at the counter. The have great empanadas, that's what I'm coming back for. The steak arepas was just ok for me.

Gil G.

Yelp
Incredible food. Family owned, really good atmosphere, my go to place to eat any time I'm in Vegas. Great service, very friendly, been going for years and it's always a great experience and the food quality has never dipped. The whole menu is great! A must go to when in Vegas.

Yelp
Amazing food, will make u dream about arepas your whole life . Service was amazing, very chill place with sports on and outdoor seating feels so nice and calming with the lights. Cute date night 10/10

Yelp
First night in vegas & this place hits the spot! We stopped here twice on our time visiting. Their arepas are big & stuffed. I got the reina Pepiada [avocado chicken salad] the first night [not pictured]. The following day we stopped by again & got breakfast. The food was fresh & came out pretty fast. Their tequenos are huge. They are worth a visit for a big breakfast or a late dinner. They do close at 10pm so just late enough to get the good times rolling at the strat or towards Freemont.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Viva Las Arepas is my favorite Venezuelan restaurant in Las Vegas. The arepas are always served hot and fresh. They use fresh ingredients and make the arepas right in the kitchen. The ambiance is very causal and a perfect spot for lunch with friends, family, coworkers and so on. I've been here several times and always return excited for more! If you're looking for hot, fresh food and a good price you should definitely check them out!

Ryna D.

Yelp
Delicious arepas! We were thrilled to come across this place as we haven't had excellent arepas like these since moving out to CA. I ordered my usual go-to arepa combination - the pabellón. It was delicious! Would definitely come back again if we're in Vegas.

Yelp
We got 3 different arepas, number 1, 2 and 3. My favorite was number 2 which is the chicken one, it was so juicy and had so much flavor! The service was good and the owner of the restaurant was friendly. PS: 1 arepa looks small but it's so packed with meat that it might fill you up on its own.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant based on positive reviews from YouTube. The Youtubers were correct. This is a gem. The owner was working the counter last night, and was happy, positive, and entertaining. He offered to let us try the shredded carne, which was AMAZING. My daughter tries a sample of the chicken and guac, and was delighted. All the food was exceptional. The cinnamon rolls were delicious. Since I'm a visitor from DC, my biggest wish is that they would open up a franchise and move east. I highly recommended this place.

Yelp
As far as arepas go, I don't think they can be made better anywhere else. They take so much pride in creating amazing flavors here, the food quality is outstanding. I got the "Vegetariana" which has black beans, tomato and avocado in it. It was so savory and perfectly seasoned.. My daughter got the pollo (chicken) and it was excellent. They use some kind of mesquite wood chips to grill the chicken and it's infused with a smokey flavor. I was really impressed at the effort they put in to deliver exceptional food. I need to go back and try all the other things on the menu! They recently renovated too so the ambiance inside is a lot better and the outdoor seating is also nice.

Yelp
I recently visited Viva Las Arepas restaurant and had a delightful experience. The cashier, a friendly young guy, recommended the popular number seven, a chicken and sauce combination. I loved the crunchy yet soft texture of the Arepa, and the flavors were fantastic. Additionally, they have an amazing indoor dining area with large windows. The outdoor seating area is equally as nice. My only concern was the pricing; at $8 to $10 per Arepa, it can get a bit expensive, especially considering I'd need 2 to 3 for a satisfying meal.

Yelp
Went and had lunch at this place and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. It felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
The tequeños weren't good, the cachapa was chewy, las sopa de res was ok! The service was ok.

Yelp
Had lunch for 2 at Viva Las Arepas. We are visiting Vegas and wanted to head to the Arts district - so we started out search by limiting it to that area and found this gem. It is Peruvian food. Tried the Pabellon and the roasted pork butt arepas and the 1/2 chicken from the grill menu. I was surprised that only one arepa would have been enough - but my taste buds thanked me for ordering 2 arepas - they were both delicious, flavors I've never experienced before. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was tasty and tender. The prices were good for Vegas! The staff was helpful and put up with all our ordering questions.

Yelp
Can't say I have tried a restaurant in Vegas I like more than Viva Las Arepas. Seriously can't recommend this place enough. They have the tastiest flakiest dough for the empanadas and all of the meat is cooked to perfection. Also the owner is the nicest guy, made us a special drink and remembered us on the second visit we made. 10/10 don't sleep on this place
