Highlights include the larb, a dish of minced pork or chicken with fish sauce, lime juice, fresh herbs, and roasted ground rice, as well as the grilled chicken. The restaurant's name is a take on the Northern Thai dish kai yang : skin-on thigh meat marinated in coconut milk, then rubbed with spices, garlic, and lemongrass. But the Red Sea noodle soup tends to steal the show with its fish balls and fried tofu floating in a broth tinted fuchsia from salted soybean paste."
