"Founded in 1984 by local artists Sylvia Orozco, Sam Coronado, and Pio Pulido to showcase Mexican, Chicano, and Latino American art in Texas, this museum is one of the few in the country focused on Mexican art. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions, browse works sold from the museum’s changarrito vending cart, and see regularly refreshed public murals (a mural program on Fifth Street and Congress Avenue changes every few months).
