"Stepping into Ladybird, I encountered a camp-inspired Grove & Mess Hall turned Eastside Trail favorite with a window-wrapped dining room, leather seating, reclaimed-wood picnic tables, and an outdoor area of charred-barrel two-tops on sandy gravel near a vintage camper patio bar; snacks like chili-garlic peanuts boiled in Old Bay lead into larger shareable “base camp” dinners (think fried catfish with lump crab hushpuppies), four patio-punch cocktails help cut the richness, and upstairs Ranger Station offers a low-lit, ’70s-themed cocktail den if I want a more intimate evening." - ByMike Jordan
