"The home of Enrique Marten, a brujo mayor, or head sorcerer, is a two-story house adorned with images of wild animals and shadowy portraits. Visitors travel from throughout the state and country for his services, which include spiritual cleansing rituals. Marten prefers to be called a 'spiritual guide' rather than a sorcerer. His home features a dark cavern with a statue of the devil and offerings, reflecting the blend of religion and magic in Catemaco."
