Martinhal Lisbon Chiado Luxury Hotel & Apartments

"Ask anyone who’s been to Lisbon with kids and they’ll tell you to check out Martinhal, a mini-chain of luxury hotels and resorts across Portugal that bakes “kid-friendly” into its DNA. The Chiado location in Lisbon is a five-star experience without having to push past pomp and circumstance to get to your room. Studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments are colorfully decorated (bold prints in jewel tones) but practical, with a fully stocked kitchen (stove, dishwasher, etc), washer-dryer, and bunk beds for the kids. Better still is the kids’ club, for ages 6 months to early teens, that offers babysitting services and pajama parties; a “baby concierge” that will supply baby cots, bottle warmers, baths and potties on request; and a cool cafe with a car parked indoors that kids can scramble in while you kick back a coffee." - Laura Dannen Redman
