"Fresh off a 2017 renovation that added 162 new rooms, the Hilton Munich Airport now has 40 percent more space than it did pre-face lift. Not that you would've felt cramped before: the hotel, which is within walking distance to Terminals 1 and 2, is known, in part, for its stunning, full height glass atrium, along with its manifold relaxation spaces, which include the steam room, sauna, whirlpool, and 17-meter heated indoor pool at the Fit & Fly Spa. Interiors are Alps-inspired, a natural choice given the airport's proximity to the stunning mountain range, and bits and pieces of the landscape have managed to find their way into guest rooms in the form of materials including light oak wood, natural stone, and felt. The hotel's fine dining restaurant, Charles Lindbergh, throws a nod to its well-traveled patrons not only in name: it serves up globally-inspired dishes and weekly themed buffets that might include anything from sous-vide veal (said to be a favorite of the Emperor Franz Joseph) to a Route 66 brunch buffet."
