"How did it strike you on arrival?Located on a quiet country road, Castle in the Country is a quaint, blue, 100-year-old Victorian that screams iconic American dream home. The bed and breakfast, with its millennial pink painted details, wrap-around porch and just-so hanging planters, is an adorable escape out in flat, picturesque countryside. The Sir Lancelot Suite is decked out in modern, cooling hues of blue gray, with black trimming, king-sized bed, and sitting area with tufted seating and third-floor views of the countryside. A whirlpool tub and shower, both for two, and in-room fireplace provide a luxurious setting for unwinding. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The king-sized bed is plush, with soft pillows and comfy sheets, while robes are heavily weighted and luxe. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?During nicer months, the bed and breakfast offers complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides to guests. There are also 65-acres of estate with trails and a private lake, along with specially packed picnic lunches, breakfast and dinner.
