"First impressions? The valet area sets the fun-yet-sophisticated tone for this slick, brand new hotel in Cherry Creek. Cars pull off the street into a covered driveway, with outdoor sofas, bright teal plaid throw pillows, and fire pits on one side. The multi-story lobby welcomes guests to a check-in desk flanked by flickering flames in an uber-contemporary fireplace. You can’t help but gawk at the floating staircase—and neon chandelier—that ascends to meeting rooms on the second floor. What's the backstory? The Jacquard is part of Marriott International's Autograph Collection. But despite the hotel's chain pedigree, its name and design is all about Cherry Creek's fashion and shopping roots. "Jacquard" pays homage to French inventor Joseph Marie Jacquard, who automated the looming process and brought fashion to the masses. How are the rooms?Glass walls make for swanky rooms, and the hotel hints at its fashion roots with carpeting that weaves together bold patterns. Simple bathrooms feature white Corian countertops and open-shelf closets with soft robes. Luxe, all-white linens and plenty of pillows adorn light birch beds, and the mattresses strike the perfect balance between supportive and decadent. Standard rooms are nice, but if you’re paying with the corporate card opt for the suites, which have full-size dining room tables and oversized TVs. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi?You can pay for extra-fast WiFi or use the complimentary access; it was fast and reliable in both the room and lobby. Drinking and dining—what's here? The rooms feature espresso machines, Veuve Champagne in the minibar, and local Colorado snacks. However, don’t miss Kisbee on the Roof; the craft cocktails and light appetizers are tasty, but the real star is the view: a 180-degree mountain panorama that stretches from Longs Peak to Pikes Peak with the twinkling lights of downtown Denver in the middle. If you need a real meal and don’t want to stray far, the hotel’s onsite restaurant, Narrative, hits the spot for breakfast or dinner. Tuck into New American classics like grilled artichoke toast and gnocchi truffle mac 'n' cheese while watching the shoppers outside. And the service?Check in and checkout is easy and seamless, thanks to helpful staff and an attentive valet crew. “Service curators” are available 24 hours a day to help with everything from bike rental reservations to personal shopping and private dinners. Who's here?Carefully tailored, under-50 business-types flow through the lobby during the week; on weekends the crowd veers more sophisticated socialite. This is a sip-on-cocktails, splurge-on-wine, bring-your-best-designer-sunglasses spot. What about the neighborhood? With its high-gloss style and bustling restaurant, the Jacquard fits right in with ritzy Cherry Creek. On hot summer nights, the rooftop bar is one of the best spots to watch the sun set. Any other features worth noting? The fresh-smelling, state-of-the-art fitness room features double-height ceilings, Peloton bikes, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Suites are also stocked with their own Peloton bikes—a perk worth upgrading for. Bottom line. This stylish, high-end hotel in the heart of Denver's shopping district manages to feel cool and polished without being stuffy." - Megan Barber
