"It may look unassuming—it's located in a strip mall and its wood table are bare—but Backhouse is one of the best farm-to-table restaurants in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It feels rather homey, thanks to the wood-fired brick oven that sends the aroma of freshly baked bread throughout the space.
