House of Small Wonder

Restaurant · Mitte

"House of Small Wonder, given its stylish Mitte location, is a popular destination for tourists and the occasional breakfast meeting—as well as a refueling respite from the shopping on Friedrichstraße just across the river. It's also great place for a special-occasion splash-out brunch. It's not just the design at House of Small Wonder that's gorgeous: What comes out of the kitchen will delight both the eyes and the tastebuds. The all-day brunch menu consists of only four classic items, but they're executed perfectly—and, occasionally, with a bit of a Japanese twist: wasabi hollandaise on a homemade biscuit benedict, for example. Although the soboro don is vibrant and flavorful, we can't help but come back to the Okinawan taco rice again and again." - Krystin Arneson
