"This development on Mexico’s Costalegre has been described as an “anti-resort,” a low-density destination taking an active role in conservation and community support to help build a sustainable blue-green economy in the region. Of Xala’s 3,000 acres, a full 1,272 are natural protected areas, with even more land dedicated to reforestation projects and regenerative agriculture.
