"Tucked into the rainforest about 45 minutes west of San José, this wellness resort struck an easy balance between solitude and connection: I met fellow guests at the daily restorative yoga class, reconnected over mocktails and on hikes, and still slipped off to the spa or pool with nothing feeling forced. Founder Diana Stobo, responding to post-COVID cravings for community (guests once had to be shushed on the meditation deck so as not to interrupt spa-goers), added a lively social layer with the new clubhouse while keeping the original spa and restaurant areas quiet and introspective.
