After punching in our personalized door code, the blast of air conditioning met a high-arched ceiling and a skylight that floods the space and feeds the many houseplants; inside, a retro Frigidaire, a copper-plated French press, and a clawfoot tub evoke made-to-last craftsmanship and a welcome restraint in tech.
